"Despite opening in 2020, Project Pollo has expanded quickly from a single food truck in downtown San Antonio to a full on franchise, spreading to cities like Austin and Houston. Specializing in vegan fried chicken, Project Pollo serves up fried sides like pickles and fries, and has a a slew of signature sandwiches, such as the Spicy Project, which comes slathered in hot garlic buffalo sauce and topped with a jalapeño. The original Project Pollo truck is permanently parked outside Roadmap Brewing Co." - Polly Anna Rocha

This conservative food truck parked at the corner of N. Alamo and 8th streets brings vegan fare to a new level of deliciousness! Great welcoming staff, offer quick service and a wide assortment of entrees, patty melt, chicken nuggets, wraps and more, and delightful sides like their creamy Mac and cheese and crisp French fries prepared to perfection. Everything cooked hot and fresh. They even have an offering for homeless, pay as you can items. Open every day 12p - 10p and accept credit cards and accept online orders for pickup or delivery. So if you find yourself downtown or looking for a quick bite, the Pollo Project will not disappoint.

I already reviewed their main location, but this food truck deserve 5 stars as well. The menu is pretty much the same, you don’t miss on anything by opting for the food truck instead of the main location. The staff at project is always great! Very attentive, and accommodating. One night, we order wings, but after we order they realized they ran out, and they offer to replace it with two orders of popcorn chicken. Again, incredible service. As per the food, the latest items (we come here a lot… haha) we’re the patty melt, popcorn chicken and grilled chicken wrap. We were excited to try their new menu items and we are definitely not disappointed. The patty melt is phenomenal! I think adding bacon to it will elevate it to the next level, which I’ll try next time. The patty was a bit on the smaller side, but at the low price tag it is totally worth it. The grilled chicken sandwich is one of the healthier option on the menu, but it is still delicious. Less calories doesn’t mean less flavor! It’s filled with tons of veggies of different textures so each bite has a crunchy and fresh feeling. The popcorn chicken with birdy sauce is simple, but amazing for those who crave chicken nuggets! Overall, project is by far our favorite fast food restaurant in SA. Their entire menu is absolutely delicious, and their staff are very welcoming and friendly. Awesome food, awesome people, awesome mission. For more reviews, follow my ig @my_foodieverse

Yummy yummy in my tummy. Loved loved this place and it was my first time trying it. Went to this location for lunch and ordered online. The patty melt was very flavorful full and so was the ceasar wrap. I would recommend this place and also to back for sure.

We visited the Roadmap Brewery right next door to Project Pollo and decided to get this for lunch. We had no idea it was vegan until after ordering and it was SO good!! We got the spicy chicken sandwiches, the jalapeño mac n cheese and some popcorn chicken and loved all of it. It's definitely inspired us to check out some more vegan alternatives to meat!

This is the sandwich San Antonio has been missing!!! Blows away our “vegan fast food” joint for sure. Spicy chicken is the perfect amount of tangy and spicy, I feel like I’ve been waiting years to enjoy this type of sandwich again. Deluxe was also great with the cheese and bacon, loaded papas were spicy, and man n cheese was solid. Looking forward the Project Pollo having a permanent location but it’s also great at Roadmap because beer!

I come here to this project pollo more than any other vegan food location in San Antonio. They are willing to experiment with me and turning the burgers into wraps and it's always absolutely scrumptious. Collette is an absolute legend on the wrap making and she is the sweetest human being. I have to say all of the people who work at this location are amazing humans. I really love the Nashville as a wrap and the deluxe as a wrap. I just gotta switch it up here and there. I like them both much more as wraps then sandwiches.

Excuse me? Who said y’all were allowed to make vegan chicken this good? Amazing food- ordered the original project sandwiches, fries and the Buffalo Mac n’ cheez of course. A bit busy so we waited an extra 20 minutes for our order, but no big deal, I know what to expect next time. Great customer service.

Been wanting to try this place and I was finally able to. I was pleasantly surprised!!! I got the chicken sandwich and I promise you can't tell the difference between plant based and meat.
