I ordered online and picked it up. I ordered an oolong boba drink, and it tasted like normal balck tea. I'm a little bit disappointed.

Sweetest works and best basic milk tea doesn’t taste like water and also doesn’t taste like pure sugar water it’s the perfect boba balance

Love this place! They have pretty drinks that taste amazing, delicious desserts, and fun finger foods. The atmosphere is upbeat and exciting. I recommend this place with two thumbs up :)

The staff was super welcoming and helpful with ordering. I didn’t know what to get and they made a great recommendation. The execution of the cute drink was not only perfect but very tasty! I included photos of their menu just in case, because the pictures were also helpful. Will definitely be coming back to try more and recommend you do too!

Update 6/20/25: Unfortunately, I have to give 1 star due to a complete lack of communication. I reached out five days ago via phone, email, and Facebook, but never received a response. One of the teas in our order was rancid—likely due to spoiled milk or creamer. I attempted to resolve the issue but got no reply. Very disappointing experience. I loved the self order system. The drinks were great 5/5, the popcorn chicken was amazing 5/5. Service 5/5. Unfortunately the bubble waffle only get’s a 2/5 from me.. the batter just doesn’t taste great like i’ve had in the past at other places. Funky bland flavor, not sweet enough.

For sure the best boba place in Chico and is a must try for newcomers. Though they don't have a wide variety of boba as of yet, their food makes up for it. It's a fun hangout spot for friends because of the games and vibe. Definitely a place I would back n forth for, worth the try!

For drinks my girlfriend got the Strawberry Jasmine and I got the Salted Black with Fried Brown Sugar Boba. Pretty good as for food got eggpuff and spicy chicken. Eggpuff was okay tasted too much like egg and the chicken was good with the sweet chili sauce.

Neat modern little place with great tea and snacks! Board games and other toys available Awesome cashier who explained everything for me.

I'm a huge boba snob, but every time I come here I'm impressed! Nice tea flavor, generous toppings, and lots of great variety to try. I also like their taiwanese popcorn chicken (though I'd love some crispy basil leaves in it) This is my go-to place when I'm near Chico now :)

After visiting a few times, I have become a serious fan of this place!!! The owners are truly great people who want their patrons to have the best experience. The drinks are formulated perfectly, and they are quick with their service! Are you looking for a hideaway to work on your computer project? 6-23-24 I dropped by Project Tea for a Thai iced Tea with Boba at 3::15. This place is the Bomb!!! Check out the pics. My Thai Iced Tea with Boba was delicious! It was rich and had a nice amount of Boba added. I got a large. Total cost $6.80. They have a large assortment of specialty drinks available. Service is fast and courteous. Project Tea offers street food as well and looks delicious! Also reasonably priced. Project Tea also offers a rewards program and even a gift drink for your birthday. There was a constant flow of customers coming and going, but it remained pleasantly quiet. Customers also ordered on line and came in to pick up their drinks and street food. Project Tea has two cool kiosks to order your speciality drink or street food. Pics are provided with each drink and a description. Thai Iced Tea for example, is the base drink and then you add your ingredients like boba etc. The kiosk is easy to use to place your order and if you have difficulty they are happy to help you place your order. But even better, this place has an incredible atmosphere! The music is very pleasant coming from a quality, rich sounding speaker. The establishment has a real cool, tasteful vibe. Plenty of comfortable chairs/ tables and a comfortable leather couch that can seat up to three easily. There's even an assortment of games to play! Several customers were quietly playing some of the games at the tables. It's definitely a place to chill out and relax with friends or simply alone, like I did! It's very clean and looks brand new. The air conditioning is a welcome reprieve from our Chico heat. Female owned, Project Tea has been in business since 2022. This place is a must to visit! I'll be back again and again! Ordered the +/- Mango Sago. The mango and coconut flavors could have been more forward imo + super fruit. Refreshing! + popcorn chicken. Always a good add on snack to your boba order! Loved the seating and decor of this place! I felt like I was in the Bay Area lol Ordering on the kiosks is super convenient but it was glitching and said out of stock but when I asked the bobaristas, they said I should be able to order the popcorn chicken. A refresh of the page made it available again.

Project Tea was okay. It was very very sweet for me and I did not alter the sweetness at all. I recommend getting less sweet. Service was super friendly and quick. Plus they had a lot of cute games to play. It's a perfect place if you want to just hang out with friends or even do homework!

I love going here! The staff is very friendly, and the inside is a great place to study or play games with friends. The only issues were the sago in the Mango Sago did not taste too great, and the taro in the Ube Taro Slush could have been more flavorful. Definitely coming back here to try some other drinks I saw!

I ordered a milk tea with black boba but the taste is very boring. Taste like sugar and water! Not have tea flavour or milk.

Celeste and Lara were so kind and accommodating, they really cared about our experience! The store was welcoming and had fun things to do, and the tea was delicious! My friends said they loved their food too :)

Just found out that there a new boba shop in Chico! They have so many different types trendy Boba teas! The environment and atmosphere are very chill. It's a great place to hang out with friends!

They had limited drink options and I really just wanted a jasmine milk tea, but didn't see that option. I'd love to see the standard boba menu including green and black milk teas, however, the mango sago drink that I got wasn't bad. It was just alright. Tried the popcorn chicken and found the spice flavor to be odd and wasn't a fan of the panko breading. Im from the Bay Area and it just really made me miss the boba and popcorn chicken back in the bay. I don't think I'll be back.

Went there on whim to check it out since I was on that side of town. Cool and simple setup for a tea house and they do have wireless payment on the kiosks where you order yourself. I got the Okinawa Dream and wife got Purple Cloud which is Taro flavored. Taro is a common flavor in Asian style drinks and desserts that is based off purple yams. Both drinks were good! They were out of the brown sugar boba unfortunately, but the crystal ones were fine. I got the Okinawa without boba. A large is $5 without boba, so cheaper than most teas and coffee. Albeit they are the size of a medium drink at a fast food place. Was craving it again the next day and will try it again soon!

Best boba tea spot in town! Highly recommend stopping by! Went in today for their first soft opening day and the 2 women working were amazing. They were so sweet and answered any questions we had. The ambiance of this place is immaculate. Their new floors are adorable and the seating is decorate to be a good chill spot to come hang out at. Kind of wished this was located in a better spot in Chico but it doesn't change the fact that their drinks are bomb.com. We purchased their life's a peach and the Okinawa Dream both with their "fried brown sugar boba". What's great about both drinks are that they aren't too sweet and you can actually taste the tea in it! Their "fried brown sugar boba" tasted exactly like regular boba but I guess they make it a different way? Either way they were the perfect boba texture, not too hard and not too soft. These drinks remind me of the drinks back home, Bay Area. They also have the options like other Boba tea places of adjusting the sweetness and I believe the ice as well. Our drinks came with a lot of ice so definitely worth asking for less ice. Decent pricing roughly $5.49 for a large and $4.99 for their regular. HIGHLY recommend stopping by if you are wanting some true boba drinks!!

Finally tried this place a couple days ago. Should not have slept on it so long! Full disclosure-I am not a boba fan but my wife is. Luckily for me, their selection of tea and slush drinks is amazing. First time I ordered the Pink Coco, wife ordered the Melon bliss. The drinks were so good we finished them before we even got home. We also ordered the waffle, KFC, and popcorn chicken. All were pretty good. The Korean sweet and spicy sauce on the KFC is really nice, not a flavor you can get elsewhere in Chico. Pro tip-the chicken is great WITH the waffle. This place is so good we had to go back the very next day. Second trip we got the Life's a Peach and Passion Galaxy drinks. So good! Service is prompt. I really appreciate the online ordering system. Inside is clean and modern looking. They have board games if you'd like to sit and stay a while.

Best boba in Chico! I'm originally from the bay, and this is the only boba shop I've found that lives up to that quality.

Absolutely recommend!! Wonderful service, nice and cool inside, great decor, and tasty drinks!! You can tell the owner really pays attention to detail in their design and that's really cool:-) also their lids have these little closers if you want to save your drink for later! Great local business to support!

Delicious drinks. You order thru a kiosk, unless if paying by cash. Many selections/add ons to choose from and if you like to customize your drink to be more or less sweet. This is probably the best boba place in Chico . Fried brown sugar boba were soft and chewy! Will be going back when craving for boba!

I'd like to update this review as the drinks have gotten so much better!!! I appreciate the owner for hearing me out on my last review. My boyfriend and I ordered Life's peachy and Mango Revive. I am a very big fan! I am happy with the lychee, I asked for less sweetness and my drink came out perfect so excited to keep coming back

This place is the best boba tea I've had since coming to Chico. I'm from San Diego and the boba tea here is on par with boba from places in SoCal. I get the less sweet option and it tastes just like what I get back home. The customer service is really good and the person that works in the front is always very welcoming and nice. I highly recommend

Nice little place. Fun atmosphere. I love ordering at the kiosk, pretty easy and user friendly. It didn't give me an option for choice of milk, would've loved to choose alternative options like almond milk, oat milk, coconut milk. I got the passion galaxy and Okinawa tea. Both delicious! Boba and jelly options are great but I prefer without boba. I will be back!

Really some of better boba in Chico, however they gave me a cup of ice with some of the drink I ordered. This was only a few minutes after I got my drink, really disappointed.

The drinks me and my boyfriend got were good. This little spot reminds me of the boba places in Sacramento/Roseville. Chico needed a place like this. Great service as well. When you arrive, you get to order on the little kiosk screens and sign up for reward points. They have board games there as well. We also ordered the popcorn chicken, it was good, but just wished it had a little bit more basil and that red powder on top. Also wished it had a bigger portion, I got a Large for $7-8 and me and my bf finished it under 5 mins.

We just got our first order from Project Tea!! Everything was absolutely fabulous! Three different and unique and fresh boba drinks and the popcorn chicken and waffles were amazing! Fried basil garnish on the chicken, chicken was so crispy and tender. Awesome Chico business!

Super delicious boba drinks. I like the texture of their tapioca boba (I'm very specific about that) I'm also a really big fan of the bubble waffle. One thing I think would be super awesome to add to the menu is Korean corn dogs! Just a fun idea

My daughters love boba drinks, so we stopped by here to try it out. The service was great. We were greeted right when we walked in, and told what new items were on the menu. It was very clean, and while we waited for our drinks, wings, and shrimp, we played connect 4. We enjoyed our drinks and food. We will definitely be back.

My favorite boba shop in the whole wide world. I'm genuinely so sad to be moving out of Chico because I'll miss this place so much. The boba is always consistently wonderful. The employees are so friendly and are quick with the drinks and food. The atmosphere is fun and lively, a perfect place to study or hang out with friends. Wasn't a fan of the Thai tea. Took a couple sips and didn't want it. I was looking forward to trying this place. It wasn't flavorful enough and not sweet enough.

I love project tea !! This is me and my boyfriend's favorite spot to get boba, we have had great experiences here. The boba is almost perfect every time and the drinks are amazing. We try to switch up our drinks as much as possible so that we can try different stuff on the menu.

I'm an avid boba drinker so when my husband found this place I was excited. Sadly the day we tried it, they were out of milk so I didn't get to try Okinawa dream or HK milk tea; instead got a mango revive - which was pleasant. However, as it is advertised for "boba tea and street food" I was disappointed I couldn't get boba that day so will give 3 stars. Definitely will try another time.

I love this place! Their drinks are delicious and the staff is really nice. I usually order either the Pink Jasmine, Life's a Peach, or Okinawa Dream all less sweet, less ice, with brown sugar boba. I recently tried their new Creamy Ooreo Milk Tea and that was delicious too! I also love their popcorn chicken! I haven't tried their other food items, but definitely recommend the popcorn chicken. I'm from the Bay Area, so I've tried all of the boba spots in Chico and this one is the most comparable to something I'd find down there.

Love the atmosphere and the decor. Our drinks tasted great! The small bites were really tasty and weren't cold at all. We came during their soft opening but I can easily say this is my new fav boba spot in chico. The cups are nice and sturdy as well. They do provide comfortable seating and some game boards to use. They also have free wifi as well. Highly highly recommend! Can't wait to go back and keep supporting!

I came in last Thursday around 3pm with my friend. She told me a new Boba place opened in Chico and we HAD to go. Upon entering the store I immediately noticed the unique decor throughout the shop. They had a big version of Jenga and a bunch of other games you can play while you waited for your drinks to be made. The two girls were very polite and even had samples out for us to try. I used the touch screen and selected my drink. I ended up going with a Large Purple Cloud with Fried Brown Sugar Boba. I tend to always go with the Taro flavored drinks when getting Boba. My friend ordered a Large Pink Matcha with Strawberry Heart Shaped Jelly. We were kind of hungry so we put in a Large order of Butterfly Shrimp to snack on also. Everything came out quickly and the presentation of the food was placed neatly and looked appetizing. The Taro flavor in my drink was delicious, the shrimp was hot and so soft that it almost melted away when you ate it. The Matcha was not very sweet but that's usual for this type of drink. They have different sweetness levels you can choose from when selecting your drink also so it seems to be preference when it comes down to it. We sat for a bit and enjoyed our time together. Before heading out my friend actually went back up and ordered another drink before we left. We got a Large Coco Thai with Heart Shaped Jelly. Personally, I wasn't a fan of this one just due to the flavor but everything about this place is absolutely amazing! Oh! And the prices are MORE than fair!!!! I didn't think they were expensive at all, the cups are a solid plastic and come with a little topper attached so you don't spill. I will definitely be stopping by when craving Boba. Most importantly, come by for the Grand Opening on 1/21/23 from 11am-9pm!

Staffs are always friendly and welcoming. They always greet their customers whenever someone walks through the doors. Staff are super helpful when asked questions about their teas. Service is also fast. They don't have a whole lot of flavors but the flavors they carry tastes great. They allow drink customization so that's a plus! Love visiting this place. The place looks cute, clean, and also classy. It has a great relaxing/chill vibe to it as all boba places should have.

This place has the best Boba tea anywhere in the neighborhood. The Korean corn dogs are out of this world. A must try !!!!I love this place highly recommended!!!

wings came out lukewarm, but the sauce itself were okay. the boba here is a bit pricey and you can't taste the tea much, but the ambiance does have bay area vibes. board games and tables for you to sit on while you sip your mediocre drink and play your classic board games.

A nice cafe with a healthy spread of options. I frequently get the fried chicken and am always impressed by it. Prices are fairly normal and the environment is comfortable so I'm happy to meet friends here regularly.
