I love promised land brewery it’s my favorite brewery in Gilroy. I definitely stop by at least once a week amazing brews the American citra is amazing and I also love the midnight tiramisu stout 11% pastry, stout with cocoa nibs, Madagascar, vanilla beans, and espresso. definitely a try it when you’re in town.

Great beer, welcoming vibes $9 pints of in house beer My only complaint is the overall abundance of fruit flies bothering you enjoying your delicious pint, this can easily be fixed ~ do better! Otherwise, an amazing spot and vibe

I enjoy this brewery so much. I love the haze. They’re amazing. I can’t wait to come back. I’ve told you hazy IPA the four infinity easy IPA the American IPA. They’re all amazing so happy I came here. Brian‘s a blast. I will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Great location in downtown Gilroy for locally brewed beers and sours. The staff is very friendly, the beers are very good and the prices are great. We were there for the promotion of Krazy George's Wave IPA. What a great day

I love this place for a cold craft beer! Always has great people to have a good conversation with or watch your favorite sports team. This will always my go to brewery for a great beer and good time.

Awesome little brewery in Downtown Gilroy. Decided to check this local brewery based on a family recommendation and was not disappointed. We came with quite a big group but the bartender was friendly and helpful. We picked up quite a few flights and for the most part I was happy with the variety and choices. The only thing they could have probably had is a hard seltzer. Lots of setting in front and back and clean bathroom to boot. What made it nicer is they had no issues with kids and had quite a few games for the kids to play. We stayed quite awhile and they didn't have any issues with it. Worth checking out if you are in the area!

Never really been in downtown Gilroy before.. we usually see the outlets and... gilroy gardens. It's cute. It was a warm sunny day before the rain came so it was a bit crowded but it looked popping. We bought a few cans to go, and ordered some food. The cans are... different lol they have cute/different artwork. We got one that had a dad bod on it LOL We didn't realize the food wasn't on site, we had to pick it up across the street but no big deal. The fries are GOOD, extra battered for the crunch. YUM From what I could see they were family friendly, there were kids running around and playing games.

Excellent! Welcoming atmosphere, tons of delicious beer and A+ customer service. Went on comedy night and the laughter and intimacy of the venue felt like a warm hug, bonus is the serve to seat order from the food truck out front! Perfect! Cant wait to go back!

They have such a great selection of locally brewed beers, it will be easy to find one you love, so many great beers with amazing staff and owners to pour!

Great customer service! The bartender we got that night was patient and welcoming. He answered my questions politely. It was a slow night when we went but that's A-ok by me! PLBC has a small outdoor area with no tables but barrels. Corn hole games. No heat lamps but farm house lights. Oh yeah and the beers were fantastic

Had an incredible time there! Lovely addition to downtown Gilroy. Tim and the others are very hospitable and welcoming. When friends come into town this is always the first stop. The ambiance is great as well, awesome vibes.

Promised land is the place to be! We are so excited about the new building for two BIG reasons. 1. The beer is phenomenal. My sister was absolutely in love with the the Cranseltzer after the bartender, Alex gave her the recommendation. She loved two of the beers and wished they had it canned! 2. EVERY time I visit Promise land they give wonderful customer service. Alex was friendly and gave great recommendations! Can't wait to be the first at the new location. Great local brewery! Came mid day, so it wasn't very busy. They don't have a huge menu to select from on draft, which makes sense since they make their own. We got a blonde ale and then a hazy IPA. Both were pretty good! Music was good. They have a handful of games that you can play as well.

Promised Land is one of my favorite local breweries. When the pandemic first closed everything they were the only place I can remember to offer delivery of beer which made for an awesome treat on long days working from home. The husband and I occasionally drop in for a beer if it isn't too busy or order to go and enjoy at home. Some great beer and awesome friendly staff.

Best brewery in Gilroy. Great selection, excellent service and they have vinyl you can play... I've gone to over 100 breweries and this is one of my favorite.

Admittedly, I was bummed that there was no beer brewed with garlic. But the beer was still good! Mostly IPAs, but they had different styles, such as DIPA, TRIPA, Hazy, etc. Luckily, flights of 4 are available! Service was really helpful, and the inside was a good space.

Fantastic brewery in downtown Gilroy. Street parking was easy and free. They allow kids and dogs. Many card and board games are available. I love how they have like 4 air conditioning units in the front area so your nice and cool while drinking your beer given the hot Gilroy weather. There is no patio. They have a narrow back area as well with a single row of high chairs. The place is a bit small but it doesn't get terribly crowded. The only negative was that the place smelled strongly of chlorine but you get used to it Now the beer. They had around 10 beers on tap. Mostly IPAs, but there were hazy, DIPA, stouts, pale ale, etc. All of the beers were pretty solid. The beertenders are all really nice as well. How many places do you know where the beertenders ask you if you want to sample anything and then ask if you want to try anything else afterwards? Most beers were $7-8 and full pints. Will definitely be back

Now i can say that I have made it to the Promised Land. Promised Land Brewing Company, that is. This is a small brewery in a small town that has some how managed to rack up all kinds of 4.0+ avg ratings (out of 5 stars) on an unrelated app. I was intrigued by the prospect of visiting such a well-regarded brewery in an area which I regularly travel to, and I made the time today to stop by while they weren't closed (mind those Mondays thru Wednesdays). In case you're unfamiliar with Gilroy, parking is free even in this downtown area. Immediately adjacent street parking was unavailable on Monterey St (near the corner of 6th) when I showed up, but there is a spacious parking lot on the back side where I found a spot. Note that there is at least one bar nearby if you should wish to make your visit a beer tour of sorts Once I got inside, I found a seat at the small-yet-empty bar (everybody else was seated at various tables) and confirmed what I'd seen from photos: yes, they do serve beer flights ($12 each, for most beers). If I were a local still, I probably would take advantage of the affordable prices on full pints, but I'm a visitor and wanted an opportunity to try as many beers as I wanted to. As it turns out, I got to try all 12 beers. A couple of beers came at a premium, and the bartenders will let you know which beers (typically really high ABV) will result in a costlier flight than others. It would stretch my ability to keep reviews under the character limit while still being descriptive, so I will decline to comment on each of the beers which I tried. I will say that I enjoyed all 12, and I was surprised that their Local Lager was an early favorite. The majority of their beers on this visit were some sort of pale ale or IPA (although three were stouts), and I was surprised that none of them were of the intensely hazy variety of IPA despite hearing about their reputation for these beers. Still, their clearer IPAs are no slouch, so feel free to try anything or perhaps ask for a "splash" to sample if you're really hesitant. Promised Land is a very promising newer brewery in Gilroy, and I look forward to seeing what they will accomplish as they continue to produce craft beer for the Bay Area (and perhaps soon the nation/world).

A few months new drinking establishment in Gilroy. Yay!!!! I ran into this place by accident. On a Cinco de Mayo mission, to drink a Michelada. The drink was good, it didn't blow my socks off. They brew on-site. Which is nice, they give tours, but the place is small. I wouldn't suggest this place for large parties, unless you rent the place out for a night. There drink/IPA menu is small, as well as the snack menu. I would be giving snacks away, to create a customer base. I do my best to support small businesses and especially the ones in Gilroy. The owner is there, pouring the fruits of his labor, and engaging his customers. This place is cute & quaint. I will go back and try one of his IPAs

Heard good things about this brewery so we finally made a stop here to try it out. There's 6 beers on tap. We liked the Big Trippin, Diamond blonde, and Hand in Hand Strata. They had a good variety of beers. There's both indoor and outdoor tables. There's like 2-3 tables in the back outdoors and more tables outside in front of the brewery. It was a hot day so we sat indoors. Only one table taken indoors so we sat far away from them. There were only 3 tables taken so it wasn't busy at all. Very quiet in Gilroy compared to San Jose. They brew their own beers in the back.

Good little brewery in downtown Gilroy! I had a flight of 4 for $12. The American Lager was my favorite but the other three were also good. The reason of my 3 star review is because they don't have any red/amber ale.

I have been here twice now and I really like this place. They make some solid hazy IPAs and always have enough choices where you end up debating what to get. I really wish this place existed when I lived in Gilroy.

Small selection and not much seating made this ok. Not bad if you're in Gilroy and want to stay downtown, but if you want a better atmosphere, go to Morgan Hill.

I think this place has been here for about 3 years and I finally stopped by to try it out. They have a decent selection of beers and nice location. The beer is good but I feel I've had their beer at other places. Living in Gilroy, I really want to give this local business more stars because I would love to see downtown Gilroy with more good dining restaurants and locations to have a good drink and hang out. They can definitely improve on their customer service. We weren't greeted when we walked in and waited a while to be served today. A simple "we'll be right with you" would made the difference and no one ever checked on us on how we were doing.

You can't even imagine how thrilled we were to hear The Who spinning on the turntable! OMG!! I was jumping up and down until I tasted the Green Deals. My man enjoyed the heck out of the Tech Juice!! We were just passing g through Gilroy, next time we will plan an outing/visit!

Really good beer. So many independent small craft brewers are making bad/mediocre beers, but these folks are crushing it. Mostly got hazy/extra pale ales, but they were all solid.

GREAT beer!! Our go to spot! So happy the outdoor seating is now open!!! They have an area in the back of the brewery and also table out front. Awesome beer selection. Family and dog friendly. (Also has cans to take home!!!)

It is very simple. The beer tasted bad. The store looked clean. The help was fair, but the beer is why we stopped. We handed the sampler plate back to them. They only had 4 beers on tap. They all tasted alike. Gilroy is a very small town, so they can get away with it.

Definitely my kind of place! A small but varied array of brews - the Kolsch-like lager was delightful - in a smaller space that's conducive to conversation and clearly a favorite of the locals. Reasonable prices, too - $6.00 for a pint. Thirsty after a long day? Stop in and get refreshed!

A casual thirsty Thursday after work and I was invited to check out the new brewery in town....since it just opened they only had a few beer selections to choose from, but eventually they will have tons to pick from, the lady that rang me up gave me all the details..they only have one long table and a couple chairs around , mind you this place is very small...I wish they had a bigger location because the vibe was chill and I feel like this spot is going to be crowded all the time, Gilroy honestly needed a place like this. I cannot wait to go back and hopefully by then they have a full menu of brews. Everyone that works there is super nice.

This is a brewery that Gilroy has been needing! Staff is super friendly and helpful. The hazy I had was great! The only downside was the seating was very limited. However, there is plenty of space to stand and enjoy the brews. Can't wait to visit this place regularly.

My husband and I came here after a suggestion from a local (we're visiting for SoCal). A previous review had said they were not dog friendly, but that is no longer correct! They welcomed our pup with open arms. Awesome drinkable IPAs that even a sour fan will love. Stop by even if you're only briefly stopping in town! So worth it :)

Cool vibe, good beer. They had 5 beers on tap the week they opened and have taps for a lot more to come. Great customer service, everyone was really nice. We'll definitely be back.

To be honest all of the beers are Good!! It just depends what you are in the mood for. I have had several different beers from this place and love IPAs. Yesterday I got #1 Aptos...6.7% delightful

Absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere was awesome, the bartender was funny, and the beers were good. I'm a big fan of ipas and this brewery had a coupe good ones. I even tried the two wheat beers they had and they were top notch. I knocked off one star because unfortunately my time here was cut short but a lady, I believe her name was Nancy, who apparently is a regular(I could just tell) was being extremely obnoxious at the bar. My sister and I were watching the niner game and catching up on life, we were not there to here about how this lady felt about different genders and races. As we left I let the bartender know we were leaving specifically because of this lady and even though she continued to harass me until I was out the door, he never said anything to her to make her stop. Probs won't be back mainly because I don't live in Gilroy but definitely because of my experience.

Terrible experience, ordered a beer for pick on July 4, was told I could pick it up the next day. Sure enough I arrive and they're closed during business hours. Gilroy is far from me, so I never came back to get the beer. Their policy states that if you don't pick up your order within a few days it will be canceled and you'll get a refund. 2 months later and no refund. I reached out to them on Instagram and no response either. Had to dispute the charge with the bank. Stick to bbq.

Small new brewery right in the center of old town. They offered many tasty beers when we were there. The guys running the taps were great. Very informative and friendly. You will also find their beer at Aptos BBQ. Check the hours before going, as they are limited.

All im gonna say is: Slurp Juice and Carry the Fire are both must haves. Love this local brewery.

On our way back from Monterey and my wife says let's stop at promised Land brewery. We moved from Montana so of course I'd never say no to beer. I cannot say anything but great things about the beer. In Montana there is a brewery that makes on of the best raspberry wheat ale I've ever had. So seeing their "More Beauty" beer I had to try it. I was not disappointed. In fact it was as good and in ways better then the previous raspberry wheat I've had. I couldn't stop telling my wife (who couldn't try beer due to us expecting our first child in May) how great this beer was for more then 20mins. She left kinda upset, I left a very happy man.

Good beer. I ordered a few cans to go and there was a miss-up. Hard to be upset when your drinking liquid gold.

Wow, Promised Land really upped the quality of local beer for Gilroy. Soon we will have 3 craft breweries downtown, along with 2 more tap rooms. Nicole and Eric are doing an excellent job. Beers are always top notch and they are brewing enough different beers that you always have your favorite on draft...or your next new favorite. This is a very IPAcentric list of beers, with 4 or 5 lagers, traditional pilsners, stouts, porters, and pale ales to fill out the list. The coconut porter is a great break from the IPAs. The people who are working there actually seem to enjoy the customers and are great ambassadors for the great beers served there. Any of my craft beer friends coming down to try PL, please remember to call me to meet them.
