Best LGBTQ Owned Restaurants Bars and Nightclubs in Detroit | Eater Detroit

"The patio at this lounge and show bar in Royal Oak is the perfect place to go during weekend brunch hours because of its full menu, extensive cocktail and beer list, and live DJ sets. To eat, there’s a robust list of creative brunch options, including several twists on the classic Eggs Benedict, Key lime french toast, and a breakfast “Wellington” — a puff pastry stuffed with a hardboiled egg that’s wrapped in Detroit sausage, mushroom duxelles, and topped with hollandaise. At night, the spot opens up for karaoke sessions, RuPaul Drag Race viewing parties, Drag Bingo, and other LGBTQ-friendly programming. The place has been a mainstay in Royal Oak since 1991." - Serena Maria Daniels

15 Spots to Drink Outside in the Detroit Area This Summer | Eater

"Open since 1991, this funky, bright-walled cafe is a cornerstone of the LBGTQ community. Pronto offers an ample menu of dishes to try, but the real attraction may be the events calendar, with live performances and after parties on the Pronto Patio. And after some dancing, one of their fun summer cocktails is sure to take the heat off. Try the Summer Splash made with Grey Goose Essences Strawberry & Lemongrass, limoncello, triple sec, cranberry and lime or the Melon Cooler made with Grey Goose Essences Watermelon & Basil, watermelon pucker, sour and lemon lime soda." - Vox Creative

The lips on the wall are sexy as hell. Luke's voice on the phone is a spell. I came here to drink mocktails with friends. The ginger was hot with a burning end. Motor city pride shirts beep for jeep. I like Pronto they keep it neat. 👌

Royal Oak is a very friendly, pleasant and safe city. My friend had his birthday party at this diner and I had "A BALL". The colorful lights, effervescent ppl and delicious food just reeled me in. The diner was easy to find and the aroma of food when I opened the door was mesmerizing. THISSSS venue was very impressive. I'll definitely be back. 💝🥰😋

Google
Pronto Diner - Royal Oak, MI I really wanted to like Pronto Diner, especially with how great the service was—our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the same standard. I started with the spinach artichoke dip, which was a letdown. There was a clump of cream cheese sitting in it, and while the top had an insanely thick layer of cheese that was warm, the center of the dish was still cold. Not a great start. I then ordered the Tuscan chicken pasta, which tasted artificial and just wasn’t good—so much so that I ended up sending it back. Thankfully, the staff had no problem taking it off the table and helping me find something else. I went with the margarita pizza next, but again, it missed the mark. It came loaded with three cheeses, including feta, which really overcomplicated a dish that’s supposed to be simple—mozzarella, basil, and sauce. It was just too much going on for me. My boyfriend had the black bean burger and the fiesta nachos. He finished his meal, but agreed the food was just okay—nothing we’d come back for. Overall, the service was excellent, but the food didn’t deliver. We both left feeling like it’s not a place we need to return to.

Google
First time here. I got Hudson’s Maurice Salad and it was pretty good. My husband got Cobb salad with added chicken and he liked it. The staff was friendly and the place is ok. The dining area was closed as they said it was under some remodeling so your choice would be eating at the bar or a few high top that they have. The prices are reasonable, if you are looking to have some interesting salads then go here

We are newer to Michigan and were visiting Royal Oak, so I did some Googling for good places to visit. I came across an article on Visit Detroit that mentioned Pronto so we decided to check it out. I am so glad we did!! It’s a super cute place and the owner was warm and friendly. They were setting up for a few big events but still took the time to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The food was EXCELLENT. I got the Killah Quesadillah and my wife got the street corn salad with chicken. They were both so good that after tasting each, we dove right in. But then we were sad we didn’t think to split them first so we could each have some of both. 😆 We’ll be back for sure!

Google
Fantastic food and staff! Love the atmosphere here, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. We love stopping by for brunch! Edit: I have to say, I'm updating my review due to our last few visits. What happened? This place used to have fantastic service and incredible food. We brought my mother here for mothers day and it was almost impossible to get any kind of service. Our waitress was nonexistent, and our food and drink orders came out incorrectly. We had to flag down other servers to get orange juice for the kids after ordering twice. My wifes cheeseburger order was wrong, twice! It wasn't busy when we visited, there was only one other large table near us. I was very, very disappointed in our last few visits.

Google
Pronto's Maurice salad tastes similar to the one they served at J. L. Hudson's restaurant, but had more ingredients. It consisted of iceberg lettuce, Swiss cheese, ham, turkey, pickles, olives, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes and a sweet creamy dressing all for only $13! They have excellent indoor and outdoor dining areas that accommodated our large cycling group wonderfully and service was good! There was even plenty of space to park our bikes!

Google
this isn’t a bad spot at all. seems like they have a good amount of regulars. everybody in here talking to each other. great camaraderie. i would come back. the hash browns were seasoned very well. 8/10

Yelp
Definitely two thumbs up! The place is very cute and has outdoor seating. The food was amazing. Three of us all ordered different things and we loved them all. The Maurice salad was very authentic and brought back good memories. Our server was very pleasant and efficient. Will definitely be back very soon!

Yelp
Slowest breakfast in history. There are FOUR tables and two servers. We ordered 35 minutes ago and no sign of food and the server is now avoiding eye contact. I will NEVER come here again.

Yelp
You have to try these sandwiches! The bread is so delish and the meats are sliced fresh when you order. The Loren though is truly amazing! The eggplant is So crispy and tender at the same time!

Yelp
Service was excellent on the 4th of July. I'd return here just for the buffalo chicken wrap.

Yelp
The food looked really good they didn't really have any vegan options but it was nice to link up with friends here the staff was so nice and the place is extremely cute and and well decorated . Can't wait to they add some vegan options but if not I'll def return for a photo oops

Yelp
My best friend took me here for their Sunday Drag Brunch. FYI, food is only available before the show start time so be sure to get there early if you're planning to eat. Thankfully coffee, tea, and booze are available throughout the show. The space is cozy - it was PACKED! Our server was very friendly and took great care of us throughout the show. The Queen was hilarious - Iowna Lotsa Katz (IG: Iownamonique2021). Apparently she's there once a month with a rotation of three other Queens.

Yelp
Such a cute diner and lounge/show(two separate establishments that connect together, but have individual doors) in Royal Oak, located just a block off of Main Street on Washington Street. Pronto is super mid-century modern decked out and just absolutely delightful and their service and food menu are both so generous! My friend got this thing called a Hudson's Maurice Salad, which apparently was developed by the Hudson's department store for their cafes there - remember Hudson's?! Before it became Marshall Field's and then Macy's?! According to my friend, you rarely see this salad (mostly meat and egg) on menus anymore, which I guess I can probably attest to since I have never once seen this type of salad on any menu before. My other friend got the Twisted Tomato BLT and I got the Shrimp Po'boy. They do really good sandwiches, with really incredible ingredients! It was one of the best po'boys I've ever had and the portions were generous! Prices are super reasonable too. Definitely come here if you're looking for a spot that is more unique and casual - it's a ton of fun! I definitely want to come back again soon to check out the lounge area!

Yelp
Great for. Not your ordinary restaurant. A huge variety of different meals, vegetarian and vegan included.

Yelp
Service was great. We went on Mother's Day and were a bit disappointed. Not the menu of pre-pandemic-smaller portions for sure.

Ian P.

Yelp
For an all-American staple such as a burger, I was very pleased. Not only was our meal fast it was delivered with a touch of attitude (the fun sassy kind). The seasoning of the fries is unique and quite tasty. This place has really turned around since it changed hands a few years back.

Yelp
The 'zero clucks given' sammy is legit! My second time having it and honestly, I could eat it every day and give zero clucks about your judgment lol. Chicken is juicy, avocado creamy, sautéed peppers give it a lil sweetness, and the cheese crust they get on the outside of the bread is definitely a main character in this sammy, delicious! I'm just gonna order it again next week...for research purposes since I didn't get a pic for you guys now THAT'S dedication! Haha

Yelp
Second time coming for drag queen bingo, definitely a must do. Sabin was their when I went, great show, great jokes, great drinks. I already enjoy bingo and then to have banter during was enjoyable. I went with my mom and she truly enjoyed herself. I would recommend for anyone.

Yelp
Fantastic!!! We had a baby shower there today. The room was so cute! Everyone loved the food. For a trendy restaurant in Royal Oak the prices were very good. The manager Suede was so kind and accommodating! I loved our waitress too!

Username U.

Yelp
This is a long but important one. Our friend group had all been here before, and had positive experiences, so when our friend mentioned wanting to go for her birthday, we were all excited. We booked one of Sabin's shows, and sadly didn't realize it would ruin our birthday girl's night. It was clear from the start that this drag queen's schtick was to be mean. That's fine, we could handle it and expected that. We are not easily offended. Sabin started to call out one member of our table for being "so F*ing loud" and "so f*cking annoying" and mentioned hating our friend many, many times throughout the show. We thought it was part of the comedy routine. We were interacting and involved in the show, laughing and engaged. However, as the show was closing things became less funny, and more cruel. Sabin: (directed toward one friend) "SHUT UP! You are really so f*cking annoying. I am not even kidding I want to head butt you right now." (mind you this is happening in front of everyone) .. continues on and says, "You have been so disrespectful this entire show and have ruined the show for everyone else around you, you act like you're the only person in the room that matters. I hope you get hit by traffic." I looked shocked, as this suddenly started to feel less comedic "mean" and more just outright cruel. That's when Sabin noticed my face and said, "That's right I am calling you guys out in front of everyone because you have been so rude this entire show, dont act upset now that you got called out." We were truly all dumbfounded. The entire time we had been laughing, engaged, and playing along with all the jokes. Our waiter never once told us, hey can you guys quiet down or anything along the sort. No worker told us, "hey guys, we know youre having fun but can you quiet down?" All we thought was that Sabin was joking with us. We left the show feeling really sad, and embarrassed. Not to mention extremely confused about how things went from being fun, to incredibly rude. You would think this would be the end of it but no! We went next door to Pronto's bar, and went to order drinks. This is when we were told by a very rude bartender that we were cut off. Mind you, some of us were completely sober and some of us only had a few drinks and were by no means intoxicated to the point of needing to be cut off. I was one of the sober ones. When my friend questioned this and tried to explain the situation and requested to speak to a manager, the bartender became irate and said she was acting like a "toddler" because she wasn't getting her way. I have never in my life felt so disrespected for seemingly no reason, and the management felt to be like mean teenage girl mentality. It really felt like for some reason they took a dislike to us, and instead of telling us politely to quiet down or settle down a bit, they wanted to prove a point or something. We will never be giving our business to Pronto again, and you can bet that we will be telling everyone we know not to support the drag queen bingo as it truly did ruin the night and not even management tried to help us understand or smooth things over. I would never support this business again. I truly wish they would have handled things differently, and I think the night could have been salvaged but instead they chose to be incredibly unprofessional and mean-spirited to a girl who was just trying to celebrate her birthday.

Yelp
Came here during a weekday lunch with a coworker and sat outside on a beautiful sunny day. They are short staff and there's only one waiter. There was a group ahead of us and after we sat down and ordered, the lunch crowd started to pour in. This restaurant was recommended to me by my coworker and I'm glad I came. I ordered the Mediterranean Wrap with hummus and veggies and it came with fries! It was very delicious and satisfied my craving for veggies! I will definitely want to try more on the menu!
google avatar

Yelp
The mid century atomic theming is well done, and a great atmosphere for mixing and mingling. Drinks are poured correctly, hon.
google avatar

Kendall E.

Yelp
Stopped in here to check it out and saw they had a dessert case! There was carrot cake, German chocolate cake, banana pudding cheesecake, m and m cookies, cinnamon roll cookies, German chocolate cupcakes, and cookies and creme cookies. We got the banana pudding cheesecake and oh my lord it was delicious. Super fluffy and light with a perfect amount of banana flavor. We also got an m and m cookie which was perfectly chewy and soft. The cinnamon roll cookie also unpictured was not our favorite. But i can't wait to come back for brunch or dinner! The menu looks great and the vibes are cute.

Yelp
Always a good time. Staff is a lot of fun and food is reliably yummy. Great quality of events as well.

Yelp
Love the updated look of pronto! Service was excellent and the breakfast burrito (vegetarian) was very filling and exactly what I expected-eggs and cheese mixed with veggies. I just wish they had the berry stuffed French toast year round.
google avatar

Yelp
How does this place have 3 stars? There is no way! The bartenders are amazing but the food is really the star! Great ambiance. At the behest of the bartender, I ordered the zero clucks chicken sandwich as it comes - do not substitute. Wow, just wow.
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
LOVE THE NEW MENU ADDITION With much love Prontos is still the public go to for restaurant eaters now with a new promising menu where East meets West. The Wagyu beef is introduced in the menu and a few of my favorites. You must go and try it out!!
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Been coming here a long time, mostly to the bar side. The bartenders here are all amazing. Food is good and drinks are reasonably priced. I don't understand the negative reviews at all.

Yelp
Pronto! Had a really great dinner @prontodiner before a show at the Royal Oak Theater. All the entrees we had were very good: Cuban sandwich - savory pork, ham, Swiss & pickles on a sub with mustard & mayo. Served with seasoned fries. Maurice salad - ham, turkey, Swiss cheese, hard boiled egg on iceberg lettuce. Served with lemon mustard aioli. Power bowl with salmon - fantastic combination of mixed greens, mixed grains, pickled beets, avocado, sweet potatoes & brussel sprouts. Served with jalapeño vinaigrette. Great flavor combination & actually healthy. Nice when you can eat healthy when dining out! Really good food & service!

Julie S.

Yelp
The host and waiter (same person) seemed like he hated his life and we were an imposition. The food was good. One member of our party was served their food 7 minutes after the others food was brought out, which was disappointing. Probably won't go back again with so many other options in Royal Oak.
google avatar

Melissa W.

Yelp
This was my first visit with the new concept/menu/ownership. What a disappointment! The service would have been fine if there wasn't only one server for the entire restaurant. Our server was allegedly being helped by the manager but it was slow and he never returned to our table for drink refills or to check how the food was. We actually had to search him out to pay our bill. It took roughly 45 min for our food to arrive. To add insult to injury, the food was incredibly mediocre. I had the mac and cheese and it was flavorless, lukewarm, and had unmelted cheese. Such a sad state of what used to be a staple in the area.
google avatar

Al H.

Yelp
Not impressed with the food or the items on the menu. The only thing nice about this restaurant is the patio.

Sarah O.

Yelp
Fun and retro! Love this little diner in Royal Oak. Ordered the avocado toast and it was amazing. Toast topped with avocado, smoked salmon and pickled onions. The best. The ambiance is fun and very reflective of the 50's.

Yelp
Simple straightforward and tasty menu here at pronto for brunch! Conveniently located near the theater for brunching before a Sunday show. Good deal on mimosas for table or you can order singly for $5 (if you're the only one at the table wanting an adult beverage). Service went well even though I'm pretty sure I only saw one server- had someone running food out which kept making the magic happen although it took a minute for the bill. Overall good experience and good food.

Yelp
I was in here recently and the experience, service provided by one of your staff was fantastic. I believe his name was Chad (bald, bearded with glasses). He made the entire experience and my night out wonderful. He was Very professional, attentive, polite, professional, good sense of humor and fun. I appreciate a wonderful experience and will be back to visit soon and look forward to being served hopefully by Chad again.

Niki P.

Yelp
So, there are places that make you feel welcome and places that make you feel like you're at home...Pronto gives the best of both worlds minis the family drama! Chad is the cousin/brother/Dad/Uncle/bad ass that you're thankful for in your life. A bar is a bar, but a family is also a family, especially for folks that aren't from here and Chad makes everyone feel welcome.

Elisha V.

Yelp
Been coming to pronto for years and have seen it change management a few times. This is the best it has ever been! The music is better, the food is delicious (try the Chicken Alfredo), the events are unmatched, and the staff makes you feel like you're a part of the experience rather than just another patron. I highly recommend checking it out if you're new to the scene or have been in the scene for a while and want to spice things up! There is something for everyone to enjoy!

Christopher K.

Yelp
A local legend, this restaurant/bar/event space welcomes everyone! We went the other day and had a blast at their karaoke, but we've had so many amazing memories there over the years. I definitely recommend checking out their wide range of events... or just pop in for a good meal and great drinks!

Michael C.

Yelp
What a great place! The food is fresh, the people are outgoing, the music is always modern and fun and the events are top notch! Can't recommend it enough.
google avatar

Yelp
Update: Stopped by here recently and they seem to have closed, they were bought by the business next door. Had a good meal here. They did a good job with covid distancing, our waiter Dominic could not have been nicer. I had the Sante Fe salad which was delicious. Also had a refreshing cocktail that had cucumber, grapefruit, simple syrup and a few other things that I cannot remember but it was really good. Had 1, wanted a 2nd but restrained myself! The patio out back was perfect for social distancing. All the tables were spaced very far apart and we even pulled a another table to ours to make our group sit farther apart. Since it was very empty it worked out OK. You should go check it out , support the Royal Oak restaurants.

Yelp
We had our furry wing man with us and had to find a spot that would let him tag along. Based on the fact that their website stated pet friendly, we headed over to Pronto. Like every other restaurant we have been to post pandemic, they were clearly short of help. I wandered about for a while to figure out how to get a table. Eventually, a friendly waiter who was also taking orders and clearing tables helped me out, or perhaps I should say in. . Now here we are old enough to be everyone's parents in the place with Wisconsin dripping off of us. However, we fit into the odd assortment of guests and staff, who drop F-bombs as a matter of regular speech. We had simple appetizers, the fries, which were tasty and crab cakes, which were a bit mushy. And my partner had a commercial beer. Though a pet friendly place, my pooch was not offered even water, but he travels with his own bowl. I was looking for place where we could enjoy the weather, some apps, drinks, and bring the dog. Pronto fit the bill. We it enjoyed Pronto, but no so much the Royal Oak two hour limit parking, on a dead Tuesday night, that kept us from staying for the Karaoke. .

Yelp
Actually, it was pretty decent. We stopped in here for a few drinks and a quick bite before hitting up an event at Royal Oak Music Theatre over the weekend. HopCat was too packed and a few other spots either weren't open yet or were horrible (more on those later), so we took a chance on Pronto. The bartender was friendly and we were served immediately. The place wasn't too busy yet, but people started coming in shortly after we grabbed a table. We both ordered Stella Artois on tap (I was pleased they had it on tap as a lot of bars don't) and a few shots, plus we decided on some shared apps because we didn't really want a heavy meal. The food menu looked pretty good, so we opted for the cheesy tater tots (sans bacon) and the hummus app. Both hit the table in a reasonable amount of time and the portions were pretty generous for two people, definitely how you'd describe a shareable appetizer dish. The tater tots were really good. I'd definitely get them again without hesitation. The hummus app with pita bread was pretty good, too. Honestly, the texture of the hummus was definitely on the more dry side, with a nice, thicker consistency. I dislike super oily hummus, so slightly drier is a bit preferable to both of us. The app was also plenty large for two and by the time we were done eating the apps and had a few drinks, we felt as if we'd already enjoyed a full meal, albeit without the bloated, extremely full feeling afterwards. The service was fine, the food and drink menus were both pretty decent (I was kinda miffed they didn't sell the Pie Hole liquor brand, but oh well, not important), the food was good, they had Stella on tap and the prices were definitely good, considering the location. The bathroom left a lot to be desired- horrible lighting, bad decor, a little dirty, etc, but it's a sort of a dive bar, so I get it. Overall, definitely a decent spot for a drink and some apps. I'm sure we'll be back for a drink again eventually.

Yelp
We celebrated our friends birthday dinner at Prontos and Robert our server was such a delight! The food was great and the cocktails were a very good pour! I highly recommend that everyone give it a try! See for yourself and youll know what Im talking about! We were all pleased with our food and the colossal dessert we ordered! After dinner we also treated the celebrant to Drag Queen Bingo where Robert and the restaurant manager escorted us to our assigned bingo table which I thought was very nice of them! They really know how to take care of their customers

Yelp
One of the worst steaks I've ever seen and tasted. The filet is all of 4 bites and every one of them tasted like burnt rubber.

Sarah P.

Yelp
We came in for dinner recently and the food was fine nothing exceptional, but what made our time OUTSTANDING was our server Riley. He was the only server for the entire restaurant on a busy Friday night but he made us feel as if we were the only people there. Our drinks were never empty, he was incredibly personable and friendly. It is so rare nowadays to see a young person with that type of work ethic. He was really working hard to make sure every table was happy and taken care of, again you don't get this type of service anywhere anymore. He was exceptional and we will be coming back just for him again, management is lucky to have such a good worker on their staff. Thank you Riley!!!

David B.

Yelp
So, I have been a patron here for many years, intermittently. I was able to visit while I was in town over the holidays... the atmosphere is almost identical to what it was a couple of years ago, though the place didn't get as packed as what I recall. The vibes have changed a bit and it would be nice to see some spunk return to the bar. Different events and/or theme nights. Bring back the OG feel, ya know? I had the sweetest, most adorable bartender that night who tended to my friends and I with a smile. I believe his name was Corbin. He just made our nights and was super attentive. I plan to return in future years to check the joint out...!

Yelp
Did you know they have a Bloody Mary bar!?!? I walked by and didn't even know, sat down, ordered a Bloody Mary, and heard the great news! They had cheese, sausage, pickles, olives, peppers, zing zang, Clamato, tomato juice, V8, pickle juice, olive juice, bacon, chips, and more! I was in awe! Aside from that awesomeness, our service and food were good! I had pancakes and I think my stack was 6! Definitely enough to feed two people. I got the fresh fruit with it and it was perfect. My husband had the Pronto Deluxe which was your basic breakfast. Eggs, pancakes, and sausage. He said it was just what he needed! That's all I've got. Nothing bad about our experience! Just have a 4 because the food was good, not over the top good. I was pleased!

Yelp
I have always had good meals at pronto and my luck continued today! We ordered door dash and the food came hot and delicious! We had pretzel bites with beer cheese dip!! Then we ordered a chicken Sandwich, it came with bacon and it was served on a brioche bun! All delicious! And of course we had a cookie it was massive!

Yelp
PLEASE READ THIS !!!!!!! Cold food. Old food. Out of drinks. Dirty place. The chicken N sausage gumbo was served cold. The mound of red rice was leftovers from the day before and must have come out of the fridge and straight into the gumbo. The shrimp po boy was also cold. It didn't have much flavor either. At least the bread wasn't stale. The mini paczkis were a joke. They were horribly stale, tasted like two days old. The berry, custard, and chocolate fillings were gelatinous. They were served cold too. They were out of Blue Moon draft which was on their drink menu. The booth had dried up orange splatter on the back so I couldn't lean back. ***** I added pics of some of the sweets that they had at the counter (up close they did not look fresh) and also a pic of the small Sunday Bloody Mary Bar (I saw no one in the place drinking a Bloody Mary, so me thinks this is not the place to order one)
google avatar

Jared H.

Yelp
What happened to this restaurant?! I've been here many, many times over the years. It always had ridiculously slow service (to the point where we called it "non pronto" as a joke), but we lovingly put up with it because it had good food and was a long-standing tradition in the community. Then, both the service and the food became merely mediocre. We put up with it, still, because it was what it was. Now, there simply is no excusing the fact that it is just bad. It's a shame that we can't look past the occasional shortcomings, anymore. The truth is, I'm done making excuses for this place, despite its longstanding reputation as iconic within the local community. It isn't good! It's time we acknowledge that. The bar might still be busy on Saturday nights - not because it's good, but because there is a distinct lack of acceptable alternatives in the area. That doesn't make it worthwhile and I'm tired of pretending it is good enough. It isn't. It's time for the owners to decide if this place is a nostalgic relic better suited for the stories of yesteryear or a current interest, because the memories of how it used to be are not enough to warrant repeated disappointments. The restaurant is awful and if the dinner crowd of three tables occupied on a Saturday night at 6:30 is any indication, I am not alone in this assessment. The service sucked, the menu is lacking, and the food is barely a nod to its former glory. This place is now just a sad remnant of what it once was and the management seems to be even more over it than the former clientele. The quality is simply unacceptable now and that makes the zombie like service simply unforgivable. This place is now inexcusably bad. I'm done pretending it is okay. It isn't. The bar might still be busy (I didn't bother staying to find out), but the restaurant is dead and it is no mystery as to why. Until they get their tired act together, do yourself a favor and skip it. Let's stop donating our patronage until this place decides to earn it again.

Yelp
Horrible. We ordered Bottomless mimosas and all the glasses had lipstick stains. The orange juice was diluted and literally tasted like water. Once we received our food it was plated on paper plates. I ordered the avocado toast and the avocados were all brown. My friend got the grilled cheese and it had old brown lettuce pieces. Fries, pancakes and sandwich were cold. When approaching the manager he was not apologetic but he did take a few of the meals off of the bill. This place used to be amazing! Not sure what happened but we will not be back. Save your money!

Yelp
Pronto is one of my go-to brunch spots in Royal Oak. I've been quite a few times for brunch and the stuffed French toast is my go-to favorite. The stuffed French toast is topped with strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries, stuffed with cream cheese and drizzled in caramel sauce, yum! It is usually decadent and delightful, but I was a little disappointed in the stuffed french toast the last time I came in. They used a piece of bread that was close to the heel and could have used more cream cheese, and was a little drier than usual and more sparse with the berries. The last time I came to Pronto was before the Saint Practice Day pub crawl for brunch and service was pretty fast even though they were relatively busy. My friend had the eggs Benedict served with breakfast potatoes and another friend had the avocado toast topped with poached eggs which she said was very tasty. Pronto also offers chocolate chip pancakes, a variety of omelettes, huevos rancheros and sandwiches and salads too. They also have a very good build your own Bloody Mary bar. You can order mimosas singly for around $5 a piece or mimosas for your whole table which comes with a bottle of champagne and carafe of orange juice for $15. I also came for dinner once with a large group, around 20 people, for a birthday party. They did a good job of accommodating our large group. It was easy to get a reservation for this large number of people and service was good. I had the Santa Fe taco salad which was good but I was jelly of my friend's Pronto Pasta which looked and smelled incredible. The Pronto Pasta, is a three cheese baked macaroni and cheese with Havarti, sharp cheddar and Monterey Jack served in a skillet and topped with bread crumbs. He added chicken for an upcharge. Another friend ordered the meatloaf which he really liked. Prices are really affordable, with most items being around $9 - $14. Pronto also hosts karaoke on Wednesday nights and often live band karaoke with the Persuasion band. I know I'll be back again soon probably for brunch. Hopefully the stuffed french toast will be on-point, like it used to be.

Yelp
I only write reviews when I feel obligated to alert the public of a dissapointing establishment that causes me immense frustration. Ordered takeout here twice, my order has never been right. Food is bland. Omelette dry (Didn't give me hashbrowns Either) Only reason this gets 1 star is because I actually was able to ingest something editable.

Yelp
Came here on Sunday! One of the Bartenders is starting an Emo night playlist! If you're a 80's-90's something, and love some Paramore, MCR, Taking Back Sunday, etc this is the place to be! Not too crowded, quick friendly bar service, FANTASTIC FOOD! Pronto! Is one of the area's finest LGBT/Ally spaces!
