"Proof & Cooper offers up Texas bar food (hatch chili queso to fried chicken to burgers) and and cocktails like classic Old Fashioneds and passion fruit/black cherry/peach punches. Even better: there’s Sunday brunch." - Nadia Chaudhury

Amazing steak, awesome sides, great cocktails! The brisket couldn't be cooked any better than it was. Totally amazing. The fried pickles were a great side as well. This place was a great find and loved by locals. I highly recommend and I hope to go back soon!

Could have been better. Had the fried mushrooms, then the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, greens and added a side of Mac and cheese to share with my wife. Only us and one other couple in the restaurant. The bartender/ server did pretty good. The sides were delicious, but Luke warm to cold on the outside and warm in the center..I would guess they were heated in the microwave. The chicken fried steak was well ordinary probably frozen at some point. Very chewy. The margarita was amazing, small but good for $10.. One appetizer, one entree, a margarita and a sweet tea $50.. don't mind paying that, but please serve hot food and quality meat. Might try again one guest at the bar said his burger was amazing..

This is a great spot for bar food and burgers with a full bar, plenty of room to sit inside and outside. Service was attentive and queso was tasty and hot. Some of the best fried mushrooms and pickles around.

Simply amazing experience. They were slammed with customers and short on help, bit it was worth the wait. The staff was professional at all times and bent over backwards for all. The was so good. Can't list all we ordered but the Mac & Cheese was the best my wife and I have ever had, and we are Mac & Cheese lovers! Chicken-amazing. Roasted beets-amazing. Deviled-eggs, amazing.

Very disappointed. We had the Double Barrel Burger and the smoked turkey. Both served cold. The fries were DRY. the burger over cooked. The turkey was moist, but the lettuce was wilted and was not fresh. The server Savannah was S. L. O. W. And inattentive. We would ask for a refill and she left and it took over 5 minutes. She disappeared often. I really would not rate this higher. And the cost,? $17.00 for a burger?!!

This place as such good potential but fell short. We were seated right away. The food came decently quickly. But our food was cold. The food was okay. The drinks came after our food. And our queso had this top layer like it had been sitting out and after a while water started to form on top. The waitress was nice and the place and food looks good.

The brisket here is perfect and my roommate really liked her salad. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is, the BBQ sauce wasn't that good so I ordered hot sauce, but that smelled and tasted like oil. If they correct those 2 things... this place will be perfect! IG: gmtvmodelVanessa

Proud to be Texans, they're serving everything fresh and to order and have tons of local purveyors represented including on the bar menu. We're here on a rainy, dark, gloomy day but the outside is set up for an awesome sunny family time.
