I recently visited the Proof Brewery at 1320 S Monroe St, in Tallahassee, FL. I had a nice experience at this brewery. It's a large interior space with plenty of seating. I got there early and was able to have a nice talk with the bartender. A very nice place to enjoy on of their varieties of beer.

Proof was PERFECT!! These young men were friendly, fast and everything was flavorful! It is a MUST DO!!!!

Great family atmosphere. Excellent beer. But the buffalo chicken sandwich gave me a stomach ache. Everything else was very very good. This is a go to if you like weird sour beers

Very nice brewery. Great beer and the food was really tasty. I don't get to Tallahassee much but I will be back if I do come back. Highly recommended!

First time ever coming here (12/9) at 3:00pm and This place is amazing!! The House Margarita here is by far the best Marg I’ve ever had!! Ample beer selection, very friendly atmosphere, dog friendly, kid friendly, great food! All around great place to come chill have a couple beers (margaritas)!! we will Definitely will be coming back here!

We had an out of town family get together at Proof yesterday. While the chicken buffalo wrap was a 7/10 it was the bartenders attitude towards my relative asking if they carry any NA brews that was downright rude. Saying why would they carry those, and flaty laughing about it making for a awkward conversation. Thats fine, better be glad I wasn't there hear this as I would have certainly served a lesson on manners. Definitely not going here again.

We hired Proof to bartend a recent fundraising event, and they went above and beyond! From the moment they arrived, the team was professional, organized, and brought a great vibe to the evening. One of the highlights was the custom welcome drink they created specifically for our event—it was not only delicious but really set the tone as guests arrived. Everyone loved it! If you're planning an event and want bartenders who are creative, reliable, and genuinely enjoyable to work with, I can't recommend Proof, specifically Nick and Roddy, enough! They helped make our fundraiser feel polished, fun, and truly memorable.

Everything about this place is incredible. The beers, specifically the sours and the cider, are my favorite that I have ever tasted. The food never fails to taste fresh and phenomenal.

Great place. Open space for kids with console and table tennis, big screens for sports. Great beer selection, particularly enjoyed the sour! Enjoyed my buffalo chicken wrap, just a shame they didn't have everything in the menu when we visited as I really wanted a burger! Went with the soccer team so was ideal for the boys and the parents to enjoy.

Only had 1 bartender for happy hour so took a while to get something. No hazy IPAs which is crazy these days. Food was average.

The place is cool with a chill college atmosphere vibe. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Came here towards the end of the night after a day of traveling and was able to get a burger and couple brews before they shut the food down. The place had a fun atmosphere as everyone was socializing and having fun. Thanks for having me!

Subpar beer compared to Oyster city. However the food from the kitchen is very good and they have a nice patio area

Never coming back. I told the bartender I was deciding on two ipas. I asked to taste both so I could choose. Very normal request that almost every brewery is fine with. If I'm going to spend $7 or $8 on a beer I want to make sure I like it. Bartender said no. He states "samples are unsustainable" lmao. Give a better excuse man. Every brewery will let you taste beer before you buy it. He said we could buy a $3.50 smaple to taste the beer... no thanks bud. Beer is cheap and this brewery is making a killing off of it. This is a money hungry brewery that I will never support. I will never support a brewery like this. I would much rather go to a better more friendly local brewery like Ology.

Super cool spot with an open patio area to dine outside and play. Perfect for families. My toddler had a blast playing here while my husband and I had dinner. Food is unique and flavorful especially the shareable goat cheese and balsamic brussel sprouts -- my favorite!

Fans outside dont work so customers suffer in the heat. Bands there sound terrible due to how the porch is designed. They can do better!

Passed by a couple of weekends ago to do a Pilates class that was being held at this brewery. The event was held at the back of Proof. The area was extremely spacious, with plenty of chairs to sit and sip a beer if desired. They also had menus on display there and in the interior, too. I was shocked by how ample this location was. The staff, too, was polite, and the parking lot had plenty of free spots. Proof, along with my Pilates gym, had a deal going on as well. I opted out of the deal, seeing as I didn't want to ruin my workout, but I will definitely be back to check out their beers and food. I liked the scene quite a bit.

Proof was such a fun place to visit! We stopped in during a trip to Tallahassee and I'm so glad we did. Service was on-point and extremely helpful in guiding us toward different beers. We ultimately decided on Freaki Tiki and Proof Lager. This place is massive. I can't wait to go back and hang out in the huge outdoor area.

Great vibe with a good sized grassy outside area in the back to eat Al La Fresca as well as play games. No wait service. Go to the bar and order your drinks. If you want food, you will need to go outside to the back patio and order from the kitchen. Had a group of 15 or so. Tried quite a few things on the menu. All were pretty tasty. Pretty chill atmosphere with big screen TVs to watch the games. Pretty enjoyable experience.

The beer and food here is excellent. This place gets PACKED, so come early. They have a big indoor area and an equally big outdoor patio with fencing and yard games. I did a flight and my absolute favorite was the evil kiss sour. The odd vibe about this place was the lack of service. I was passed by a few beer tenders while sitting at the bar. Not sure if they were busy, but it definitely left a bad sour taste in my mouth.

Cool place with a large outdoor seating and gathering area. Lots of their own craft beer on tap. They also offer limited menu food items and you order those from a separate area outside. The kitchen and wait staff for this were a bit disjointed and operated very clumsily. In the end, the food was pretty decent though - I had the pork sliders and fries. I would say that the food service and offerings are fine if you develop some munchies, but I would go elsewhere for a main meal. The beer overall is great, I tried two flights of four beers each. Parking is also limited. They also require that you get a wristband from them before entering the establishment.

Super Family Friendly brewery with a great outdoor setup. I love how it is super I closed and includes tons of seating as well as activities for kids and those who act like kids. You get id'd at the door and given a wristband or stamp (I don't remember now) if you are 21+. This makes it so much easier so you won't lose your id later on. The bar is inside where you had a large selection of drinks to try. I ordered a beer float and found a few beers that I liked. You order your food outside and the menu is up on the board. They had tons to choose from. Our favorite was probably the pretzel and the salad or and the Brussels sprouts. Honestly the food was all yummy. We had a large group with us and we had tons of space. My favorite thing was the giant screen showing the soccer game inside. Very cool Location with ample parking too.

What a fun find! We were in the area doing a hike, and I looked on Yelp for a nearby brewery. Proof Brewing came up as the #1 choice! The choice of beers is good. I opted for cider and it was good! The food was very good too! They have a separate kitchen to order from. We had the pulled pork sliders and sweet potato fries. Yum! They have a nice outdoor patio and grassy area with games: cornhole and ping pong. We would definitely go back.

Excellent beer menu! We got two flights of beer and every single one was very good to excellent. They have food as well, which is always appreciated IMO. We got the brussel sprouts with balsamic, and it was a really nice accompaniment to the beer. The place is bright and inviting. I would love to go again, but we are from Tampa.

Always a good thing when a brewery has enough options for me that I can make my own flight! That is few and far between so immediately we were off to a great start. We received our flights quickly and were advised that if we decided to order any food that we would just need to walk outside to their food area but would be able to use our open tab between the two areas. They are using a QR code for their menu on both drinks and food but do have a large beer board up as well. Only thing about the board is that it is located way far away from the actual bar and more towards the front door. They had wings on their menu, which sounded really good, they are prepared using the sous vide method but when I got outside to order I found that the wings were not an option anymore (or that day) so that was a little disappointing since they were listed digitally and should be removed for the featured item instead. We ordered the French Onion Wagyu sliders (3) with fries and the kids menu Chicken Nugs with fries. I was really surprised at the amount of nugs they give you for it being a kids menu item and they were really good and juicy. Could have used some honey mustard though. Ben loves French Onion soup so our curiosity was up on the sliders version using Wagyu. They were super juicy and tasted great, definitely could tell it was French Onion inspired. Unfortunately, the beer Ben wanted to take home with us was sold out. Oh well, maybe next time but that means it must be pretty good if they were sold out. This was a great stop on our tour and we will stop by again when in Tallahassee.

Tip - Happy hour - $1 off drafts. Proof Brewing Company is a great spot in Tallahassee. My husband and I were in town for a concert at Capital City Amphitheater. We decided to try Proof Brewing since it is a short walking distance to the Amphitheater. Definitely a great option for drinks & snacks before a concert. The place was hopping. I am not sure if it is always so busy because it was happy hour or the crowd was busier because of the concert. Drinks - A+. They have beer, wine and some liquor. Drinks are ordered at the bar, so we had to wait a few minutes to place our order. I was very pleased with the beer choices I made. Food - B. You place your order at the counter outside, separate from where drinks are ordered. You get a number and once the food is ready they bring it to you. There are about 10 items to select from. We went with the beer cheese pretzel which was better than an average pretzel and the buffalo cauliflower which was also tasty. I wanted to try the shishito peppers too, but we didn't want to be oinkers. Customer service - A+. The outside area is super cute and very Covid friendly. There is a covered patio and inside seating as well. I will definitely be back my next trip to Tallahassee.

Go there, you will not be disappointed. The food is bomb, the service is Fantastic, the music was pretty good, I wish they played some Bob Marley, but eh ..I still swayed to the music! I love PROOF... You need to go get a brewski and a huge pretzel. Also, they had waygu burgers one time I went there were sliders and so freaking good... MAYBE they will have them when you go, I think they switch up the menu... Which certainly keeps it interesting. BRAVO PROOF GLAD YOU THERE FOR ME!!!

Had dinner at this brewery with coworkers while in Tallahassee. Tried the flight of beer (all were really good) and had the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Food was great (huge piece of chicken) and I couldn't even finish it all. Really enjoyed and would go back!

This place actually makes me look forward to my next visit to Tallahassee, which is not an easy task. Fantastic selection of beers and food that was surprisingly good. We enjoyed two flights, including sours, porters and brown ales. The day we visited we tried: Fantasy Vanilla, Key Lime Pie, Nani, Kalani, Saturday Morning Cartoons, Flamingo Party and a Mango Wit that was the perfect ale to cool off with. Food is ordered separately, out the double doors and past the bar. The guy suggested the pulled pork sliders and they were the bomb! My honey had a smash burger which he wasn't thrilled with, but he was being a crab that day, and since he ate every bite, his opinion is null and void. The fries were great and the pretzel was yummy. They have a large outdoor area for games, partially covered so you don't melt. It's nice and cool inside with plenty of tables, large screens tvs and friendly staff. Very chill spot, family-friendly and dog friendly too. Stop by, you won't regret it.

Amazing beer, wonderful food, too bad to close Monday and Tuesday. Maybe that's just winter hours or break hours or something. But it's great place dog friendly games, etc..

I've never ate food here but the drinks are good. Located in midtown, lots of parking. The indoor area is more up scale and nice, could go there right after work. Outside is more casual but big with some outdoor games to play. There are dogs outside.

That was fun! My only complaint would be that it is too loud to carry on a reasonable volume conversation inside or on the patio. My son, who has a production sound business in LA, says some acoustic treatments would help, but there is a lot of concrete floor, straight walls and metal roofing that contributes to the echo chamber. Judging by the volume though, it seems like everyone was having a good time. Surprisingly, on a "Hot August Night", it was a pleasant temperature on the patio and out on the "lawn". Proof has done a nice job of rehabing the second generation Coca Cola plant (the original is in the All Saints area). The inside area was air conditioning cool. It is a large area with a nice mix of chairs and couches, tables and stools and a long bar with stools. The large patio has tables with stools and Proper @ Proof for your food. The large "lawn" has a mix of patio furniture, tables and chairs and tables with benches. Some have umbrellas as well. There are indoor games such as air hockey, foosball and the like and several bean bag toss games on the "lawn". There is no wait staff. Order your drinks at the bar and order your food at the Proper counter on the patio. They give you a number stand to put on your table and deliver your food to you, but it's diy for beer and drinks. We went on a Thursday night around 8 and it was hopping. By 10 or so it had cleared out considerably and was almost empty when we left at a little after 11:30.

One of the best places in Tallahassee! The space inside is very visually appealing. It elevates my idea of a Tallahassee bar/ entertainment venue. It feels modern with high ceilings and a view of the brewery through the glass behind the bar yet it feels warm somehow with comfortable seating. If I am wanting to impress/ entertain an out of town guest, I would definitely take them here. It was packed last night as it's a home game weekend, but that just added to the fun! Proof always seems to have plenty of bartenders so there's no mob at the bar. They are friendly yet efficient. My friends and I all love the Key Lime Pie Evil Kiss and my blood orange spritzer was delicious. We also ordered pretzel bites which came out hot with two different sauces. My friends and I have ordered them twice.... really good. Last night there was a band playing outside on the "lawn" made of astroturf. Plenty of tables and seating was available and the staff was excellent about picking up empty glasses and removing trash. Really fun atmosphere. I love this place!

Second timer. I had the white Sangría: 5 stars. Never had the white variety with orange juice. It was refreshing and unexpected. I thought it was going to taste like a mimosa but it did not so I was pleased.

The burgers are great. The staff is so nice. Beer selection is excellent. Kid and dog friendly. Fun games Just would recommend a few more TVs. For March madness. Great outdoor area.

Very nice clean brewery with an onsite place to grab a bite to eat. We did not eat here but the menu looked good and the food in the room looked and smelled wonderful. Beer was ok (Featherweight Lo-Cal). One thing I did not like was that they would not let you sample between 2 beers to make a decision like most breweries. They do have an amazing outdoor area. They also have a skeet ball, foosball and air hockey. EDIT: I was contacted by the owner which was awesome. He informed me that $1 from each taster goes back to the community, which I wasn't aware of. That's a great idea!

After four years of living in Tallahassee, Proof is still my favorite local brewery. The location itself is great, there is a lot of indoor seating (in the A/C), covered outdoor seating, and uncovered seating (where you can play corn hole and play with the cute puppies that people bring with them)! They have fantastic beers- I am always a fan of all of their sours. The only negatives are that parking is limited. If possible, walk to take an uber, because their parking lot only fits about 15-20 cars. Also, the food portions seem to have gotten smaller than what they served a year or two ago. This may be due to inflation, but last week when I was there with a friend, she ordered the fish tacos that I always used to order, and instead of getting 3 tacos, she got 2... Overall, I do highly recommend Proof- it is the perfect place to meet up with friends and relax!

We LOVED the key lime pie evil kiss beer, so much we bought some to-go. Probably one of the most unique and best beers we've had. Worth the trip! And we've drank a lot of craft beer. We would come here again just for this particular beer. The pretzel and frites were so good. The French onion sliders were ok, but the fries and pretzel over shadowed them. It was busy but they had a great outdoor covered patio and outdoor seating as well as inside. Bathrooms & tables were all clean! Staff was friendly!

A local brewery that just expanded to a new location. There's a large "bar room" with 24 draft beers. You can order a flight of 4 for $8. A great way to find a favorite. There's air hockey and foosball tables to help pass the time. And of course a large screen TV for sports. The outside patio has seating. And a snack bar with salads, burgers, fries, wings & tenders. Reasonably priced. And it's relatively quiet on a Sunday afternoon, so you can actually hear a conversation.

I love this place, good beer, food, service, ambiance. Only complaint....serve your brews in real glasses! You're a top notch brewery, not a crappy college bar. 5th star added. I was brought a glass. Class act! Fantastic!!

The place is amazing ! Games, outside seating ! Great beer!!! Service is top notch! My boyfriends growler ( we got it a year ago on our visit), while moving it was broken. I was trying to surprise my boyfriend with a replacement, Byron was to the rescue! He found one last one for me . Thank you. I was able to replace the broken one.

I cannot believe it's taken me so long to check Proof out. I was blown away! First off, it is Huuuge. There is so much room inside and out. The latter offering a huge turf with tons of tables (ping pong too) and dog friendly! I was amazed at how good the food was. The fish and chips and steak and cheese sliders were some of the best eats I've had in tally. Oh ya, and obviously, get some of the freshest beer you've ever had.

I love Proof Brewing Company! They have a beautiful facility with lots of excellent local brews. Mango Wit is one of my favorites and can be found in most grocery stores. They also have a big heart for the community and the people in it. I've seen them involved in so many great local events, and it is always appreciated. Parking can be a bit challenging as the place is so popular, but there are places around back and on the side. There is plenty of room inside including the huge outdoor patio. Recently Proof asked fans to post pics on Twitter of dogs who had visited the dog-friendly place on International Dog Day. I shared a pic of my beloved Golden Retriever Bodi who sadly died that day. He loved Proof and the nice outdoor area. Proof messaged and said they were sorry for my loss and wanted to provide a care package. How incredibly thoughtful and kind!

Great spot for a beer in Tallahassee. Beautiful new building. Great indoor outdoor space. Bartenders were very friendly and made great recommendations based on beers we liked.

I really enjoyed my first experience. The space and ambiance are really nice and I love that you can see into the distillery. The food was surprisingly delicious and fresh; I ordered the nuggets and fries and I was very happy. The nuggets were fresh and flavorful and the fries had the perfect amount of salt. The drinks were really good and I loved the outdoor seating area. They're also dog friendly which is really great. Overall the service and experience was great.

Proof brewing has VERY RUDE customer service and charged. The staff is HORRIBLE !!!! Be warned. If you appreciate rude service at over-inflated prices than go to Proof.

This place deserves all of the stars!! My date and I stopped in last night (a Friday) to a jam packed Proof. Truthfully, we were visiting just to play ping pong and enjoy a pint in the process, but to our dismay, there were two guys who basically occupied the table the entire night. So we settled for some shuffleboard instead. Despite the fact that there was nearly no parking (we created some spots curbside on the road behind the establishment), the place was very comfortably crowded. Meaning, there was never a point when I felt like I had no personal space. People were very courteous, and there was never a struggle to get a drink. As soon as a bartender took our order, another bartender approached to see if we could be helped. THIS is what real service looks like. Honestly. Nowhere in Tampa did I ever witness that level of hospitality. I was personally blown away at how attentive the service was at the inside bar. Now, I cannot vouch for the experience being served at tables outside, as there were too many patrons for us to even come close to getting a table. But that was just as well because while the live music provided a lively outdoor atmosphere, it was far too loud for us to enjoy a regular conversation, so we pretty much stayed inside all evening. The bathrooms are very clean despite the busy thoroughfare that this brewery becomes on Friday nights. The beer is very reasonably priced at around $5.50 per pint and Proof's Mango Wit is easily my favorite beer now. Needless to say, I will definitely be back - and hopefully with the ability to score some time on the ping pong table!

I wish this place wasn't so far from Orlando! This has got to be one of my favorite breweries I've visited in a long time. To start, I love the big area covered in astroturf, lots of different places to sit, high tops, and preppy striped umbrellas. Two areas to play corn hole, so you don't have to fight over one. I think I was even more excited to see the inside, I love when a brewery makes an effort in decorating their space. The staff was extermely helpful, I wasn't sure what to order and they let me try more than 6 beers. I didn't even know it was possible to make a wit beer as a nitro, my first ever, the mango nitro wit. It was great and was a memorable beer.The specialty stout they had on tap was also really good as well. Great space, beers and sevice. If you haven't tried this place it's a must!

A new expansion and chapter of Proof Brewing's story that I'm excited to see come about! The new location of Proof at 1320 South Monroe marks a big move for them from their old location that they had out-grown into a full-scale, distribution-level brewery. With this, though, comes a big change in vibe and focus. Before, they were part of Railroad Square Art Park and felt more like a local haunt or a hidden gem. Now, they've morphed into the tourist hotspot/icon of Tallahassee and feel like a hub of downtown life. The beer selection has expanded and they have much more space to begin canning more beers and offering what used to be speciality tappings now full-time on the list. It really is the hip new place in town to hang out and throw back a few beers with your friends. Yet, this popularity has a few drawbacks and has lead to the seating area being almost uncomfortably packed out at night, a Mad Max situation fighting for parking or ordering beer at the bar, and noise levels that make a conversation a real struggle. Also, I know it's not their fault, but parents have started to use the beer garden as an unsupervised daycare, which causes a bit of chaos and only adds to the noise out there. I'm just hoping that things start to settle down in a few months! As the first bar/brewery I ever visited in Tallahassee after I moved here, Proof holds a special place in my heart. But I do have to admit that the new space is a whole new place, for better or worse.

Babies (under 2) can play corn hole, but adults are not allowed to toss a frisbee. Beer is good, food is good, but the double standards / toddlers running around while people (mostly fsu college students) are day drinking is a bit annoying.

Not only does this place have beer, it has hard liquor, cider and hard seltzer. I'm not much of a beer drinker, so the variety was great. There is plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor. There is also food available onsite. There was a children's party when I was there, which I thought was unbelievably odd. Not sure why a place that is essentially a bar is a venue for hosting minor's parties.

It'd be folly to not give this a five star up front. Front-of-the-House staff know their wares backwards / forwards, and the back-of-the house production types clearly have pride in product., Straight up, if my son weren't joining the US Navy right now, I'd encourage him to enlist with Proof Brewing Company. Proof provides a tremendous array of beers and ales.- I've seldom been one to get all positive about local IPAs. Personally, I abhor hoppy-ass beers. That said, I recognize and respect that there are folks (my uncle included) that simply love the hoppy swill. He says he loves Proof's IPA - so there's that. Interior is immaculate - and projects that post-hipster vibe, which is nice. I've been waiting for the whole Hipster thing to blow over and this may very well be TLH's catalyst for its demise. Most impressive is the massive operation fully viewable from the bar area. C'mon down to Proof on South Monroe (in the throes of rebranding itself as SoMo) - you'll be pleased.

Proof is a nice new addition to Tallahassee. I have been wanting to check it out for weeks but seeing the crowds everytime I passed by I postponed coming in. Finally came in on Sunday night when I noticed there was lots of parking available. The place was not crowded at all. Not a big beer drinker but the server at the bar suggested I try the beer flight since I was a first timer, which allows you to choose 4 different beers in a mini glass. I enjoyed these and got a regular sized 850 beer. I love the outside area and the how they have the lawn area. Definitely look forward to coming back here soon.

Not a big fan of the new location. The other location was more suiting and relaxing. Though I understand why Proof had to expand. The beer is still the greatest and now they even offer food. If possible, I recommend to stay outside rather insight. In can get quite loud. Another reason for the 4 star is the parking situation. It can get challenging but should not hinder you to visit this brewery. Definitely highly recommended.

I can't visit Tallahassee and not come to Proof. Not only do they have the best beers in town but it's the positive energy this place has. It's pure joy. You see all kinds of guest here, family with kids of all ages, dogs, young and old- it doesnt matter. When you come to proof you're coming to drink and share with friends and neighbors. Proofs new location is bigger and better. They have way too many game options, whether it's a cards game, corn hole or foose ball. Can't find a game you like? Bring your own! There's plenty of room for everything and everyone. Hungry? Check out the menu of the restaurant. Not in the mood for beer? They now have a full bar and also serve local coffee all a at decent price- considering I live in Miami- this place super affordable. Proof is a gem, you haven't experience local Tallahassee until you've come to this brewery!

It was hard to accept that proof has a new location. But I have to admit it, this location takes proof to a new level. They still have their huge selection of crafts beers and they even extended the food menu. I tried the guava mango coconut evil kiss beer, it was a very tangy and smooth "Berliner Weisse" that paired really well with their food. The service was great, there was a lot of people the Saturday night I went but I didn't have to wait very long for food or drinks. I also ordered the PCB burger with a side of fries. The burger came inside a fresh pretzel bun with Gouda and caramelized onions. The fries were really great, really crunchy in the outside and soft in the middle. The only problem I had was parking and finding a place to sit and eat. I ended up parking on the grass in the side of the road; along with other cars that had the same issue.
