PROOF Rooftop Bar

The mood is set the moment you walk off the elevator. Upscale look and great music playing. The servers were friendly and made sure you were taken care of even as the crows rolled in. The spinach artichoke dip is a must with the decadent breaded-like pita chips. The smash burger was devoured. The view was so beautiful even after the rain. The rooftop was not wet and was a pleasant place to sit chatting after drinks and food at the bar. You must visit. I forgot to mention the Hot Girl Summer drink, a must-order. What are you waiting for?

I love a good rooftop bar, and this was top tier! The server was the best, and the drinks were so tasty! And sitting over the Nashville skyline is very relaxing!

I almost never write reviews, but this experience was completely unacceptable. We called in advance to confirm and were told we could bring our 6-year-old with us. At 8pm, while we were seated and enjoying our food and drinks, a security staff member came to our table and told us that no kids are allowed after 9pm. He added unnecessary pressure by saying that if we didn’t leave, “we’ll discuss this a different way.” At 9pm, while we were still working on our food and drinks, he came back and demanded that we pay the bill and leave immediately. This was not only embarrassing, but extremely unprofessional. Policies like this should be communicated clearly when a reservation or call is made, not after guests are already seated and dining. Treating paying customers this way is unacceptable, and it ruined what was supposed to be a great night out in Nashville.

really disappointed with my experience at this rooftop. The security was unprofessional and disorganized – instead of making guests feel safe, they created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere. On top of that, the service was extremely slow and inattentive. Staff seemed overwhelmed and uninterested, and it took far too long to get even basic requests taken care of. For a place that markets itself as a premium rooftop experience, it completely failed to deliver. Definitely not worth the time or money.

The views are breathtaking. Such an amazing spot to unwind, relax, hangout with friends, dance… Huge spacious feel with comfortable seating and plenty of views to go around

Got a pop up reservation from a friend on a Saturday evening and they were able to accommodate. The staff was warm and welcoming towards my wife and I, drinks were amazing and the table side bread was to die for. Our entrees were delicious and fulfilling to the point we had to pass on desert.

Had a lovely graduation celebration here. The servers were not good at all about bringing requested drinks. It seemed that there were 2 staff dedicated to serving our group of about 25. They disappeared. I never got the drink I requested. Perhaps I should have gone to the bar. But if that was the case, my order should never have been taken and the expectation should never have been created by the venue. Atmosphere and music were outstanding and so were the views.

Cannot express how happy my wife and I are about coming here for our first Nashville experience! Our waitress Monica was very friendly and prompt when ordering or bringing out drinks and food, can’t say enough good things about her. The food and drinks are definitely on par with the location and what you would expect. Yes, it’s better than you are imagining right now. The ambiance is very clean, minimalist and modern. The views are spectacular and it’s nice they have a little lit spot for photos. Just a great location! HIGHLY recommend this place for a night out. Parking is across the street and very affordable as well. Thank you Monica for your hospitality.

Came here for GNO and to check out Proof's HH. The rooftop is really nice with a good view. We had the best bartender. He was really nice and had the best personality, I wish I remembered his name. I ordered a gimlet which was delicious. I read mixed reviews on the food, but our food was really good. I ordered the wings , not spicy but very flavorful, and I ordered the truffle fries. My friend wanted a dessert, they didn't have dessert, but when the restaurant downstairs opened, he allowed her to order from that menu which was really nice of him. I will definitely be back! Parking: park in parking lot across from hotel, a lot more inexpensive than valet. I was told they don't validate at Proof.

This is a bar on the roof of W Hotel with outstanding views. We mainly ordered drinks and a couple of appetizers and took in the evening sky as the sunset. It was very beautiful and the drinks and food, service and ambiance were all excellent. Recommend!

We were pleasantly surprised. Food was really good! Martinis were excellent. It's a bit loud and seats are not comfortable, so dinged it a star

Rooftop bar hopping is always fun with family and friends. The proof is located inside the W Nashville Hotel on the 13th floor. We were immediately carded exiting the elevator, so 21 and up. The ambiance was quiet and comfortable--lots of indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered drinks, but unfortunately, they were not good. I love the decor and wall art. We had a lovely time, and the weather was perfect for a Saturday summer night. No DJ, but did I mention the gorgeous view?

Came here on a Monday night. The only saving grace for this place is that the food is actually good. The drinks are terrible. Watered down, very sugary. Service is absolutely awful. It took forever for someone to come take our orders, food got mixed up, server never came to check on us, we had no napkins or silverware, and it even took them forever to bring us the check. They were not even busy. The people next to us got so frustrated they cancelled their order and left. Absolutely awful experience.

This place is amazing!!! From the food, drinks, music and service... it was all spectacular and I highly recommend! Luis made the best drinks and was attentive to our needs! He was great and we're definitely coming back.

Five stars for the drinks; three for the atmosphere. It was dark The drinks were great. Love that they use big ice, bartender was super nice. I'm not sure why it was so dark. Hard to read the menus dark. I get the idea of candle light as creating ambiance but might be a little too much. Nicer than most hotel bars with a lot of places to sit.

Bailie was absolutely awful. Overcharged and schemed her way to get a better tip, which backfired after her rudeness and bitter tone towards us when our friends card didn't go through (yes she had enough money). We also had a $15 hold on our card to set up the tab that Bailie demanded we gave a card at the beginning of her service. She never came back to us after dropping off our drinks btw. We had to go find her at a pos station to ask for the tabs. So yah service was garbage. Keep in mind bailie uncharged the espresso martini without asking which vodka was wanted. So after paying $24 for just a half filled espresso martini, my friend decided she was done drinking which I couldn't blame her. Disgusting and scammy. Which is sad because we've loved this place until bailie ruined it for us.

Absolutely loved it! We went here for my daughter's birthday, it was a great stop on our night out! The oysters were delicious, wish there had been more, the girls said the wings were delicious along with the cocktail! The staff were attentive to our needs and always checking to see if we needed anything! The atmosphere was amazing, walking out on the patio and seeing the city lights, plenty of seating and a couple igloo's. They had heaters out there to keep you warm however the wind was blowing so we chose to sit inside! Would definitely go back here!

Nothing special about the drinks here. Location and view is cool and all but I'd be just as content grabbing a drink just about anywhere else. Staff can't seem to be on the same page about anything and the bartender with the bowl cut in particular is a diva who thinks his sh*t doesn't stink. Won't be returning. If you want mediocrity and lousy service this is the spot for you.

Proof is a beautiful space at the top of the W hotel. We came on a Saturday evening around 5 and luckily didn't have to wait! We were at a table and we had a server. Unfortunately it took a while to get our drinks. I got a mock tail because I'm doing dry january and sadly it wasn't that great. My friends mostly enjoyed their drinks! The valet parking is super expensive but I parked in a lot nearby that was about $11 for 4 hours. Also the signs for the bathrooms are really hard to read lol

I was so excited to try out this new place. The view are astonishing, and the decor is modern. But. The drinks taste at best, acceptable. There are so many bars in Nashville with good bartenders, that these watered out sugary drinks has no value at all. Please go to L.A. Jackson at Thompson Hotel instead. Better drinks and better vibes.

Chandler was great! He made the experience! All of the food and drinks were very good. It is pricey, but we were prepared ahead of time. Go. Ask for Chandler to be your server. You will not be disappointed.

One of the best views of Nashville, quality service, good vibes and no reservations needed. Away from the hustle and bustle of Broadway, it's definitely a Gulch staple.

Went to Proof for a late evening cocktail with it being one of my gf and I favorite roof top spots. We had the bartender named Scott P. When my girlfriend respectfully asked if he could make a gin fizz cocktail. His response, "I'm not making a 15 minute cocktail tonight" The bar was basically empty so it was a shocking response. We are both in the industry and realize that gin fizz doesn't need to take 15 minutes but understood and said oh you don't need to shake it that long and he goes, "ummm yes I do" with a ton of attitude and negative energy. You would think a hip roof top bar in Nashville would be able to make a gin fizz or something along those lines. The attitude and ego of this bartender will be a reason we never will order a cocktail from him again, looks like he only works lame nights like Mondays anyways! Go figure!
