I just moved to the area and this place is fortunately a short walk away. I decided to stop by yesterday and was very impressed by their craft beer selection and friendly service. Will definitely be back!

My go to liquor store. They always have June Shine (hard kombucha) in stock which I love and have a great selection of saki (which I am trying to learn more about). The staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. On one of my recent visits I tried out this panda saki and it was delicious. Also, check out their discounted on sale wine selection, it is says a pretty good mix of bottles (near the checkout counter). Also, a great spot if you need a lemon or lime in a pinch - highly recommend :) It is also a well organized and clean store - very easy to navigate

Started going to proof when it was my local spot and even though I moved a bit away I still make a point to go there! They have one of the best selections of craft brews I've seen in this part of Somerville. Great friendly staff as well and a beautiful store layout. Stop in if you get a chance!

Great beer selection and friendly staff. Disappointing experience recently where I wanted to buy a nice bottle of whiskey. Checked their hours and posted a closing time of 10pm. Left a concert early to make sure I got there in time before they closed. Arrived at 9:40pm and they were in the process of closing. Doors were locked and lights were dimmed. I got the attention of the manager who confirmed they were done for the night. Not sure why they closed twenty minutes early but I bought a bottle of whiskey elsewhere.

Awesome new liquor/beer/wine place in Winter Hill! They had a tasting event when we visited on Friday, and we walked out basically having bought everything (woops). It seems like they take strides to invite local places to sample their spirits, which I appreciated. The staff was knowledgable, friendly, and let us taste everything we were thinking of buying. Excellent beer selection. Their wine selection was well chosen. They had quite a few hard to find spirits as well. Looking forward to coming back here.

love this place ! Great variety to their inventory and I really appreciate their delivery service. My choice is cider and when/if they don't have one I ask for, their replacement choice is always spot on. Nice going Proof! Best of luck with a continually growing clientele.

So I was inspired to write this review after 5 experiences with Proof. I have to say, they are incredibly devoted to customer satisfaction and retention. I live in Everett, which means there are other liquor stores but I choose Proof because of the selection and the experience. Today, when I placed an online order a couple of inventory items were not available but there were some great substitutes that were recommended that I had never tried before and I really enjoyed them :) so I'm very happy to get out of my comfort zone with IPAs and I had an awesome experience today. I would highly recommend working with Dave on alcohol selection. I've interacted with hIm on a number of occasions and I've always been happy with my purchase. Thanks for the suggestion Dave!

I little pricey! Josh Chardonnay was like $16. Way to much for a low rent brand. Just because it took forever to open don't shaft us man! I'll drive to Atlas or Cappies next time!

Great addition to Winter Hill. they have plenty of tastings and a good selection. The staff is friendly and helpful if you need help finding what you're looking for. They have a well curated selection of wines and liquors. And the beer selection is large and varied.
