In an unassuming spot behind an apartment block, Propeller Coffee wowed me. Service was quick and the coffee was great. When packed with people, there's a lively atmosphere, a great spot to get some work done. When there's just a few people, it's quiet and calm. A coffee shop needs a bit of both and I think this place has the right balance. Sitting near the larger warehouse type doors requires wearing your winter jacket, that's my only gripe.

Propeller Coffee in Toronto is an incredible, not so obvious wedding venue to work at! The space has a modern, industrial vibe with plenty of natural light, creating a stunning backdrop for wedding photos. The open layout allows for creativity, and the minimalist decor lets each couple’s unique style shine through. The venue’s combination of exposed brick, high ceilings, and cozy details makes for beautiful, warm, and intimate shots. The staff is fantastic—super organized, friendly, and accommodating, which always makes the day run smoothly. For couples seeking a trendy, urban space with a welcoming atmosphere, Propeller Coffee is an amazing choice! Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a comfortable coffee shop to work on your laptop, this is it. They have large tables, allowing people to spread out. The ceilings are tall, and the space is wide open (converted warehouse space) so noise is not usually an issue from the people around your table. The coffee is strong, robust, slightly acidic, however nothing memorable. They do have food, and pastries. Again, nothing that really stands out. They also feature a room where they make coffee and new flavours. Overall, the selling feature is definitely the space. The few I’ve been here, it looks like people park themselves with their laptops and headphones for several hours. You’re definitely the odd one out if you just want to have coffee and chat. At least that’s how I feel. I would not bring your kids here. Also one added bonus is that they have free parking!

I loved the space and open concepts. The chai Latte was delicious. It was my first and I was pleasantly surprised

One of my favorite roaster in Toronto. I like chatting with friends here. The dining area is huge, and makes me comfortable. I also like their pastries! I believe they carry Black Bakery, and I feel something new pastries! I tried the Gluten free pastry. I forgot the name but it was tasty. It’s a like caramel fillings. I felt it’s a similar Dacquoise.

This was another search to find different coffee taste and new roaster, atmosphere is great, got coffee and a free Americano drink. Taste was ok but still need to get more out of it. But overall it is good.

Near Bloor this local coffee roaster and shop is a hidden gem for coffee lovers. With a cozy ambiance (with long communal tables where you can work and even bring your own desktop) and a dedication to crafting the perfect cup of joe, it has become one of my favourite coffee locations in town. The expertly sourced and locally roasted beans ensure a rich and flavorful experience. The friendly staff's knowledge and passion for coffee create a welcoming environment. For an exceptional coffee experience that stands out from the chain shops, this local roaster is a must-visit.

It’s not located in one of the main streets so you might think you’re lost when you’re looking for it but don’t let that stop you, I know I’m glad I gave this place a try. The barista (the owner?) is professional and friendly, the interior design looks pretty cool, and their iced latte is amazing. Two things though, I wish they had more options in terms of pastries and they used those lids that don’t require a straw.
