NOLA Event Will Give Free Pound of Crawfish to Vaccine Recipients | Eater New Orleans

"I describe Propeller as a local nonprofit incubator for burgeoning businesses that is teaming up with Councilman Jay Banks to host a vaccination event with food, live music, and gift card giveaways; LCMC will be distributing both Moderna and Johnson & Johnson, vaccine recipients will receive a free pound of fresh boiled crawfish courtesy of Cajun Seafood, and the first 30 people in line will receive free Cajun Seafood gift cards. The event will be held outside Propeller’s building at 4035 Washington Avenue from 4 to 7 p.m." - Clair Lorell

This is an awesome space for working. The staff is incredibly accommodating and friendly. The energy from the ambition of the new businesses achieving their dreams surrounds and inspires. The kitchen area has everything you would need and the internet is lightning fast.

I don't like incubators that try to message communities. Be available to whomever needs you. As a space it's pretty nice. Parking like everywhere else in New Orleans is a pain. Programming is interesting as well. The chairs and tables in the large conference room are noisy and loose. But I like the cement floor. The place does appear a bit cluttered at times even though it's clean.

This place is sweet! Shared office spaces, modern and clean. They could do with bigger parking (we had issues because they had two events at once) but other than that it was a pretty cool place.

It is a great co-working space, and they occasionally host community events, like a recent one on accessing public records.

Great place to work with very reasonable membership prices. Good coffee machine and decent atmosphere. Always ample parking even if you need use the local area.

This is a thriving social business and nonprofit incubator off the beaten path and well worth a detour. Propeller is special in that it is also a coworking space open to the public, with event space available at hourly rates for many kinds of community gatherings. People stop in from all around the world to learn about how Propeller focuses on New Orleans Health Care, Education, Water and Food issues. It is very personal, and a great resource for networking with good hearted people who care deeply about their community and the environment on micro and macro scales.

Yelp
Wow! First time using the workspace at Propeller and it was amazing. Arrived and used the parking lot in the back, greeted by the receptionist and registered for day use, received a full property tour by friendly staff and booked a chat room for daily work and meetings. There are also 2 large phone booths for rent as well. Free workspace is every other Tuesday - date rate is $20. The renovation is great and I love the kitchen area - includes hot beverages, filtered water and snacks - yes snacks are provided, such a nice touch. Great place to meet other entrepreneurs and community network. I will definitely be back again soon.

Yelp
DO NOT HAVE YOUR EVENT HERE! I'm not even sure where to begin...i have been here to this event hall twice before for different events. At those times, visually inside and out the place was nice. I had spent weeks looking for the right space to host my baby shower and i remembered this place. I scheduled a walk through and when i got there the outside looked terrible. I still went in and spoke with the young lady who i had an appointment with. The inside was very nice but i asked her about the grass and will it be taken care of cause i thought surely they don't keep it like this on a regular basis and she informed me that the have a contract with a company who maintains the grass. With that information i assumed that for their events that they host they would most likely have it taken care of. So i reserved my date with the lady who is the one in charge of the actual event booking, Elizabeth. After my booking as time went on i had questions about the space and it was so incredibly hard to get in contact with her. And because i couldn't get in contact i had to postpone my other arrangements until i could get in contact with her. On multiple occasions i couldn't get in contact with her to the point where i attempted to reach out to the owner of the building with no success from that either. This made planning MY OWN BABY SHOWER TEN TIMES MORE STRESSFUL. From the time leading up to my event, my family had passed the building multiple occasions because of where they work and the grass stayed continuously worsened , growing higher and higher. It was a terrible sight. The week of my event, i reached out to the event manager asking if the grass could please take care of because it appeared it was never touched since three months ago when i first toured and the days are counting down. She informed me and my father that they have a contract with a company and that unfortunately she could not do anything about the grass that she referred to as "trees" in front of the building. My family and i were so desperate because of how bad it looked we asked if we could do it ourselves!! She told us no. I then asked if i could be compensated cause the whole experience with her and the business had been so disappointing and she told me that the outside of the venue being taken care of and maintained was not in my contract so therefore no i will not be compensated and the grass will still not be able to be touched . She then told me that the grass had been taken care about a week ago and because of the weather it had something to do with why the grass looked the way it looked and from the images i will input you will CLEARLY SEE that wasn't true. In the end i made the best of what i had but please expect LESS than the bare minimum from this place. Terrible service. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!

Yelp
Propeller is a new non-profit organization with the intent of harvesting start-up ventures that will improve the local community. It's a large space built out into seminar rooms, meeting space, offices and cubicles. Visitors can rent office space and host events. I've been to two presentations from community organizations and enjoyed the fresh modern vibe.

Yelp
The customer service here is the absolute worse! We were trying to plan a party and in the beginning, Zabetta seemed to be very helpful. When they dropped the ball on their end, we had to reach out to her repeatedly to no avail. She claimed that she would call us back and did not. She claimed that she would e-mail us back and, again did not. It was almost like chasing them around to give them our money. For this place to be a non-profit organization, is an absolute joke.
