These are not traditional tacos, but if you looked at the menu you already know that: ambience is decidedly on the funky side. Meatless and vegan options are clearly labeled (I was a bit confused by a dip with bacon being listed as "Vegan" but the fairly wordy menu text stated that without bacon was an option). The more red text there is for an option, the hotter it is.
The restaurant is on the corner literally next to a public lot in downtown Midland. Inside, at least in the wintertime, the lighting was a bit dim but the food was fine.
My companion had chicken tacos; we shared an order of sexed-up bean dip (no bacon). No drinks, though water and plastic cups are available if you look.
The bean dip had a kick to it; basically the bean dips are toppings on top of a basic bean dip; knowing that now, I'd give it a good stir before tackling it. The seasoned chips were dusted with salt and some sort of chili; I prefer 'em plain.
For me, the medium level of spice is about perfect; the "Xander" was a bit weird (sweet?) but I liked the taco with adobo chickpeas and a little red text. The chicken tacos were also apparently good. If you like your tacos funky and like lots of vegetarian / vegan options, stop by.
