The Hit List: New Mexico City Restaurants To Try Right Now - Mexico City - The Infatuation

"The all-day café, located in the newly opened Jardin Escénico in Polanco, is an escape from the city chaos and is our new favorite spot to recharge after tackling Chapultepec park things, like a 5K run to shake off jet lag. They serve Mexican comfort food like breakfast huevos rancheros topped with spice-packed salsa for just $5 and a full-flavored cecina with guacamole and refried beans for $11 at lunch. They’ve also got fresh juices if you need to meet your fruit intake for the day while sunbathing on their huge terrace. You can usually walk in and find a table, but on weekends this place fills up so make a reservation." - guillaume guevara

We miss the first hostess. She was very kind and helpful in every way. The food quality was excellent. Today, the flavor is lower, and it's arriving cold. We believe they can see what has happened and want to regain that warm welcome. We are careful to maintain the flavor and quality of the food and never serve it cold.

Loved the place. Semi-self service. Unpretentious and easygoing. Great food and friendly staff. They did their best to speak english. The park/place itself is beautiful and it was great for bringing the kids along.

Lovely cafe in the park - open until late and it’s best to come during the week at night - it feels truly magical! The food is good when I eat in, but this time I got a iced matcha to go and it was very average!

Delicious enchiladas verdes. Service is a bit “relaxed” but its a wonderful place to find some peace and enjoy a beautiful garden.

I’m so confused by the reviews. This place was really nice and enjoyable. I’d recommend it for sure. The food was what I was expecting and the service was excellent. Will return.

Very pretty place! I recommend taking a walk around the garden after (or before!) Food is ok, service is ok.

On my first day in Mexico, I roamed around the closed Bosque de Chapultepec and found Proscenio Cafe (an absolute delight). I was served by, Mauricio, who was incredibly kind and attentive, the food was DELICOUS, and the atmosphere was joyful. This was a great start to my day experience and I’ll definitely be back!
