The 10 Best Restaurants Near Denali National Park, Alaska | Eater

"Sure, you can get the typical Hawaiian pizza or deluxe pie here. Or you can get one topped with a giant pair of king crab legs. What makes Prospector’s ‘zas so tasty is the fact that they let the dough ferment for three days, which gives the crust a more complex flavor and, some say, make it easier to digest. Prospectors also has roughly 50 beers on tap, many of them hard to get elsewhere in the state (if not in the U.S.). Those who drink one of each (which should only be attempted over the course of an entire season, if you’re staying for a while) get a T-shirt." - Bailey Berg

We enjoyed baked chicken mac n cheese, elk meatballs on spaghetti, pepperoni pizza, and chicken Alfredo. The chicken breasts were tender, flavorful, and without weird grissel. The cheese was rich and creamy. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. Service was excellent. Atmosphere visually engaging.

Probably Alaska’s best pizza. Our tour guide put us on to this place and we ate there for supper one night and lunch the next. It was a busy spot, often with a wait but it’s worth it. 49 beers on tap, wide selection! The pizzas were amazing and there was a combo for everyone. You need to try this place if you’re in Denali.

We loved this place so much! The Chinook Pizza was incredibly good smoked Salmon pizza and so was the King Crab Ravioli pasta dish our son had. The 49th State beers/ales are pretty awesome! Syd our waitress did an excellent job guiding us through the menu as well!

Wonderful draft beer selection! Lots of Belgium options. I had a Maibock and my husband had a Belgium Quad. We had the Margarita pizza and it was delicious! Crispy crust and fresh ingredients. We were also surprised to be able to sit outside during a very busy rush. We enjoyed the gorgeous view from the deck.

The pizza doughs were exceptional, and this is coming from a New Yorker! However, their pizzas were a bit too light on the sauce which made the pizzas quite dry. We got the lower 48 it aint but swapped the reindeer sausage to chicken due to the pork. We also ordered the cliff dweller which was also a bit dry and needed some sauce. Our server was really friendly and the place had a nice vibe especially outside.

We were visiting Denali in mid-August and just finished our rafting adventure with New Wave Adventures. We were starving and this restaurant was highly recommended.

Probably the best pizza we had in Alaska but didn’t take photo of it. Instead we took photos of halibut sandwich and the elk meatballs. Be warned bring your ID if you want to order alcohol as they are very strict about even if you look over well over 21 years of age.

We ate here twice during our stay in Denali. The first night the wait was extremely long, but we arrived at 7 pm, so we ordered takeout. Early dining will get you a seat for dinner without a wait. At 4pm the following day we were seated immediately. The wait staff was courteous and friendly. We tried three pizzas, the Prospector (like a supreme pizza), the Kodiak Bear (like a meat lovers) and the Fireweed (bacon, Italian sausage with a hot honey drizzle which was yummy!). The first night we ordered the Grizzly size(16”) which was too much for two. The Cub size (12”) was just right for two to share and have three slices each. I can’t imagine better pizza in Denali, or elsewhere for that matter. The crust was delicious, and I asked for ranch dressing to dip. The restaurant was decorated with cool memorabilia and photos from the gold rush era.
