Positively scrumptious! It was my first time having authentic German cuisine. Staff was knowledgeable, ambiance was inviting, and I can’t wait to return.

Google
Oh my goodness! This is one of the best places I have eaten in my life! The sausage balls were delectable and the meat and cheese platter offered a taste of Germany. I had the best beer I've ever tasted there too. If you like the taste of flowers and fruit, you've gotta try Weihenstephaner 1516. Our table had the Jagerschnitzel and it was amazing! Served with noodles and cabbage, my favorite of all time!

Beer was great, food was okay but service was not. Good one time experience but probably won't be back. Wall of beer steins were cool

First visit to Prost went great. Sascha was attentive and helpful in guiding us through the menu. Spent $45 on two drinks, an appetizer and an entree. Hope to go back soon.

I've been visiting a lot of restaurants lately. More than usual. Call it food therapy. I've been running out of ideas of places I'm dying to visit, but Prost was definitely on that list. I ended up ordering the Currywurst & Pommes. It was basically a German Sausage smothered in a red sauce. The slices of sausage were ok. It wasn't spicy at all, but had a mild flavor to it. Nothing to write home about. The house made curry sauce was decent with a sweetness to it and a hint of paprika. My fries weren't hand cut but the kind that come frozen. But for frozen fries, these are the type I prefer, and I quite enjoyed them. Bread also came with this dish, and you could tell it was baked fresh. Tasted like a loaf of sourdough. Would I say what was ordered is impressive? Not really. But for $13, I guess it wasn't a bad deal.

I came to Prost on a weekend trip to Wichita. My fiance spent some time living in Germany -- and Prost fulfilled his nostalgia (imperfectly but happily enough). I'm vegetarian and my fiance doesn't drink so we're probably a bit of an odd customer for Prost, but we had a great time. They have an NA beer that's not on the menu (I did wish the bar menu had NA or mocktail options on it so we didn't have to inquire). The vegan brat was tasty (though very dry - I was surprised that condiments needed to be requested). We loved the pretzels. The spaetzle had a great chewiness. The strudel was oddly light but tasty. Portion sizes were generous. The food was less tangy/vinegar-y than we expected. I wondered if the pickles were half-sours but then the sauerkraut also was pretty mild. I'm guessing the recipes have been modified to suit Midwestern taste. Overall, we'd return here if we lived in Wichita.

Google
Great German food, delicious! The server was excellent. Answered our questions on a few foods not explained on the menu. Portions are large, excellent restaurant. Of course a variety of beer or wine for some. They have fun traditions for beer enthusiasts. Definitely returning!!

Google
Great traditional German food! The beer selection is great and the wall of steins was super unique. Service was prompt albeit a little scattered. The Paprika Schnitzel and the Jägerschnitzel were fabulous! Dessert was delicious as well. If you are a fan of German foods it is definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
Food: 4/5 The food was pretty decent and that only somewhat made up for it coming so sporadically and feeling there was inconsistency between the waiter, food runners and, the kitchen. It made for a somewhat disappointing and incongruous meal regardless of how tasty each dish was. Service: 2/5 Our server forgot parts of our order and did not put in our drink orders and we had to remind him. He also didn't bring all of our food together so we ended up eating in shifts as some of the three of us had some of our food before one of us had any. It was really awkward and made dinner uncomfortable since we either had to choose between being polite and having our food get cold or eating it while hot as our friend looked on with nothing (not even his drink order had come yet). Ambiance: 2/5 The bench seating was uncomfortable and they warned us not to sit near each other or it would collapse. They sat us next to the upstairs patio door, so we were constantly being bumped by servers and customers as well as being cold.

Yelp
Had fun finding this place but it was worth the hunt. It's located in the middle of a complex made of shipping containers. It isn't visible from the street. We were seated quickly on a rainy Saturday and our waitress was attentive and efficient. My previous mother in law was a very good German cook so I'd say my taste buds have been spoiled when it comes to this kind of stuff. It's also been at least 8 years since I've tried such a place because...well nothing really compares to scratch made authentic German food. One step inside and just the smell had my mouth watering. I opted for something I was familiar with.... Jägerschnitzel with house made spaetzle and red cabbage. The thin pork cutlet covered 1/2 my plate and was smothered with just the right amount of delicious house made gravy. Cabbage was tender but not soggy. I prefer mine to be a bit saucy and this definitely wasn't but it was delicious nonetheless. The flavor was just right! The spaetzle was also perfectly tender and not over or undercooked. It was perfect comfort food for a rainy day. I had to get a to go box because there was no way I was leaving any behind and I was stuffed! That didn't stop me from getting an apple strudel for dessert later.

Yelp
I'll preface this review immediately and say if you're looking for a German Biergarten this is the place. In that regard it is wonderful and a great experience. If you want to sip on a giant boot of beer and a sausage or some schnitzel it's just the place. The service was good enough and ambiance are fun and strike a balance between a restaurant and a bar, would absolutely go back. I recommend sitting on the patio. A wonderful little slice of Germany in Wichita. All of that being said if you're looking for a nice quiet sit down I'd probably recommend going elsewhere.

Yelp
very cool place to visit to feel like you are in Germany eating authentic food and drinking real beer!

Yelp
Great atmosphere, great beer, and good food. I had the paprika schnitzel and it was good, but didn't care for the fries that came with it. Would've liked something else like potatoes and veggies...maybe those are options that I missed, but rating the dish as it came. Beer and shot were really good! Tons of room for large groups, will def come back!

Yelp
Great memories of my childhood in Germany when my father was in the army. Wonderful tasting food and excellent service.

Kurt ..

Yelp
Great authentic food, beer was cold and the service was fantastic. Even my picky grandkids didn't complain

Yelp
I've eaten at Prost several times over several years. The food and service have always been terrific. I highly recommend this restaurant.

John B.

Yelp
Great place good food. The accordion is too loud. It's small and packed. We will go back.

Yelp
@prost a very good German restaurant, I had the standard jagermeister schnitzel. Of I had to order a flight of German water. This place is woth visiting the container farm. Great atraction. Ambiance casual

Yelp
While there are not a lot of German food options in Wichita, Prost still offers that "German Feel" with outside dining options that make one feel as if he or she is in an actual beer garten back in Bavaria. Plenty of authentic options and good 'ol beer choices, Prost does a good job at bringing some German culture to Wichita. As a German myself, I still prefer Munich in September, of course. :)

Yelp
Great food and a super cool atmosphere. Unique dishes cooked extremely well with great flavor. The shopping center it is in has some really cool shops as well.

Yelp
Are used to live in Germany for a few years. I've eaten at restaurants that served German food. This place definitely knows how to make authentic German food. The staff was very kind and very attentive. The decorations here are fun. I liked the. I thought the display of all the steins were cool. I was visiting from Las Vegas. If I come back I will definitely come here again. I got to meet the owner. He was fun to talk to.

Greg T.

Yelp
We stopped in last night for dinner. It had been a while since we had been to Prost and everything was just as good as last time. We had the Jagerschnitzel and Goulash and both were outstanding. The beer selection was also great. Finally, service from Taylor was top notch. If you have not been, or had it been a while like us, I highly recommend stopping by. The service and food were both great.
google avatar

Nicole N.

Yelp
I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! I'm German and the food is authentic German food at excellent prices. The service was excellent and we were there on a very busy Saturday night.

R W.

Yelp
The food and service was excellent. They have a deck above the main restaurant, which is nice and quiet with lots of sun.

Yelp
We have had Prost on our must-try-soon! list too long; we finally made it. The whole location is confusing and hidden from the street - just find a spot to park that car and walk on in. There is SO much there! We were given our own table for two among long tables that likely invite conversations with new friends -- but be warned! The benches can topple if weight is not adequately distributed. Beer comes in LITER-sized mugs! Too much for me, but beer offerings are tasty. We were so tempted to order too much food just to try everything. Eventually, an app of two sausages = scrumptious! Then we split the Jägerschnitzel with the red cabbage and spätzle (order everything with an umlaut!!!). We added pommes (french fries) and an order of kartoffel (potato salad). All of it was delicious and perfect quantities, texture, temperature; delightful. YUM. I am looking forward to our next visit when we can explore the upstairs patio.

Yelp
Very good food. Unique location with shops around. German beer if that's what your looking for.

Amy H.

Yelp
The beer flights are fun, schnitzel was delicious, our server was fun and knowledgeable with food and even food history.

Michael W.

Yelp
Great food and neat atmosphere, beer was good and the staff was very friendly. I'm a repeat customer

Fran T.

Yelp
Fun dining experience and good food. Live music was enjoyable along with the beer stein drinking contest for both men and women.

Yelp
OUTSTANDING authentic German food. Great German beers and really authentic German food. All of their Wiener schnitzel dishes are fantastic. Their brats and the dishes are outstanding and the service is great. There's nothing dancing about Prost. It's more like a German bierhaus you'd find in any German village near a city center (or a Rathskeller). Service is outstanding, people are exceptionally friendly and the atmosphere is simply fun. We love going to Prost, it's in an unusual location (buildings built from box-car enclosures) in a progressive part of Wichita, but simply great. There's an associate European (mostly German) market on the upper floor of the same complex that has a great selection of European foods (again mostly German). If you're a fan of German food and ambience, give Prost a try, you won't be disappointed. It's one of my absolutely favorite Wichita restaurant places.

Shane D.

Yelp
Awesome atmosphere! Great food, and if you can make it to their Oktoberfest they have annually, you won't regret it! Easily my favorite place in Wichita

george b.

Yelp
The restaurant was hard to find. Almost gave up. The ambiance was nice. A little loud. I ordered the jagerschitzel. Great presentation but was highly disappointed in the wafer thin slice of pork in the schnitzel. Pork is cheap! No need to be stingy. Everything tasted great though.

Georgia C.

Yelp
Great environment Friendly staff I had the potato pancakes and they were both overly salted and lacking in flavor. The rest of my party had a variety of items and shared that everything was great!
google avatar

Nga B.

Yelp
This place has a really good atmosphere. Service is always great. Beer and bratwurst is amazing.
google avatar

Dee W.

Yelp
Best German food I have ever had! Loved it!! We had the spaetzle with Swiss cheese and onions, schnitzel, bierock, salads and pretzel. I loved it all.
google avatar

Yelp
Now THIS is what I'm talking about! I love, love, love me some good German food, and Prost seems to be doing a nice job of serving up authentic German cuisine with real-deal German beers in a boisterous biergarten/beer hall atmosphere. The restaurant itself is part of the Revolutsia development, a shopping/dining/community gathering place composed of shipping containers with a cozy fire pit area in the middle. It sounds crazy, but when you see it, makes total sense, not to mention being unspeakably cool! I've traveled in Germany quite a bit, but never heard of a bierock and was thrilled to discover that it's delicious -- like a surprisingly light kolache stuffed with meat and cabbage. You can't go wrong in my book with German potato salad and red cabbage, and both were great here. Serving sizes are hearty, but not overwhelming. For dessert, you MUST save room for the house-specialty Black Forest cake. Trust me on this. And visit the upper-level German market next to the restaurant on your way to stock up on Ritter Sport chocolate bars...

Steve K.

Yelp
The food was authentic and not "Americanized" German food. We had just returned from several days in Germany and the food at Prost was every bit as good as what we had in the brauhauses and restaurants. I spent many working weeks in Koln and good Kolsch was everywhere. I'm happy to Sunner on tap at Prost, how about expanding to one or more of the others The service was fast and friendly and we were pleasantly surprised that the "shipping container" ambiance was not claustrophobic but actually had a pleasant, almost old-world feel. I may have to get a cubbyhole for my personal beer mug!
google avatar

Cindy H.

Yelp
The food is outstanding and the cost is very reasonable. The indoor seating is like a German pub so if you don't like a lively atmosphere, don't sit indoors. The outdoor dining is very pleasant. The waitstaff is the BEST!!!
google avatar

R J.

Yelp
Great place. Food is really good. Try the red cabbage it is very good for a Kansas restaurant. Usually one has go to Texas for the good German food.
google avatar

Derrick G.

Yelp
Prost is the best German food I've had in Wichita. They have an extensive beer menu and the food menu is very affordable. We started our meal with the Bratwurst Teller (assorted sausages) and the sausages were amazing, For our main entrée we ordered Jager schnitzel and Bierock. Both meals were large sized portions and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you like German food, beer or both.
google avatar

Derrick S.

Yelp
Great food and great service. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Wichita. I'll definitely be going back next time I'm visiting.
google avatar

Stephanie J.

Yelp
The food is good but I always leave hungry if I don't order an appetizer or dessert with my dinner. It's the only place in town that offers spaetzle.
google avatar

Melanie W.

Yelp
I had no idea we had this little German Gem in our city!! The food, service and atmosphere is outstanding and reasonably priced! Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Mary C.

Yelp
Came here to visit and it was great! The food was surprisingly flavorful and the staff here was informative about what we were eating and drinking. They definitely kept the culture here. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes German food.
google avatar

Toni B.

Yelp
Elegantly hidden in Revolutia Container park, Prost is a shining pearl of Wichita. Looking every bit of the German heritage as is the wonderfully prepared meals. Do not shy off visiting this gem. Besides their regular menu and vast assortment of good German beers, they also have Vegetarian options galore! The employees are happy and gracious. There iui s downstairs and upstairs indoor seating. There is also ample seating outdoors on the upstairs veranda. There are many shops to peak ones interest, as well. I could not have asked for a better place to meet up with friends. I hope you like it, too.

Liz B.

Yelp
I'm so glad we stopped here while visiting Wichita. The food was great. I was thrilled to find vegan options! I had the vegan brat. It was very good. I would definitely order it again. The rest of my family ordered more traditional German food like bierocks and fleischkäse. Everyone enjoyed their food. The pretzels are a must order appetizer! Of course, their beer selection is great. You can't go wrong. While the restaurant had a great beer garden atmosphere, the entire area had a wonderful vibe. I love the use of shipping containers for a little shopping plaza. Next door was a German market where my kids got some chocolate. We also stopped in a few little shops that sold items made by local artists - clothing, stickers, cards, books, etc. In the center of all the shops and restaurants is a small courtyard with tables and chairs and a fire pit. The whole area had a relaxing, artsy charm to it. If we lived closer, I would definitely be here for date night with my husband. Good German food, unique shops, and a great patio for enjoying the evening - you can't ask for much more. Just a note, this place doesn't show well from the street! Being out of towners, we had to loop around a few times before we saw it tucked in with the other shops. To get in you have to go into the courtyard area and you'll see their door. It's in the white shipping container. From the street you'll see Revolustia (black shipping container) and the Little Lion Cafe (small brick building) before you see Prost. I promise it's tucked back in there with many other wonderful stores.
google avatar

Courtney K.

Yelp
Food was delicious and authentic! Lots of different places to sit. Outside, indoors upstairs in a fun true Biergarten room or a cute dining room downstairs. Went for a date. Looking forward to going back with some friends!
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
It's in a box car. So even if they serve your German beer in the wrong style of glass at least you've had the adventure of wandering through a box car retail community and eating in a 2 story boxcar with windows and a deck. For real though: one of the beers had a taste and aroma of diacetyl, which is not dangerous but is a brewing error due to the wrong combination of temperature and yeast. We told the server about it and he shrugged. That's a problem. We had asked for a taste of one of the draft beers ahead of time and were told that was against their policy; this is also a problem - if your beers come in liter and half liter quantities that's a huge commitment and in our case a problematic one. The food was acceptable but not mind-roasting. We tried the bierock and schnitzel. The side of spaetzel was very un-spatezel like, and the red cabbage nondescript. There's likely many better food options in Wichita, and for sure better beer options at local craft breweries.

Jemikah N.

Yelp
Quite literally the best food I had in Wichita. So tasty and so fresh!! The flavor was out of this roof didn't even need to add salt. The salad was super fresh. The food was hot and delicious. I don't know what to say other than it was literally divine.

Robert W.

Yelp
food and friends the right way! and I won the beer competition in 2019. the people there take care of there customers with smiles.
google avatar

Delbert F.

Yelp
This is fast becoming one of my local favorite restaurants! The shipping container mall thing which Prost is a part is pretty unique and intriguing. Prost's menu of authentic German food is a winner! And, of course, they have German beer to go with it - in glasses and steins (I've been told) are from the Hofbrau House in Munich. The whole place is just a very cool dining experience. The only negative is the parking - it's limited and a little rough.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Great location in mini mall constructed from shipping containers. Shared Courtyard and upstairs covered beer garden. Inside has great decorations, flags etc. Narrow wooden tables with benches. Excellent food and a brews. Like basic German food you would find in a middle class part of a German city. Some German street food; meal was excellent and authentic. Service was very polite and prompt.
google avatar

Matt M.

Yelp
We started with a Brotzeit Teller (brotzeiteller) that was positively groaning with meats and cheeses, then ordered some (absolutely outstanding) red cabbage as a side. Having lived in Kansas many years ago, I was familiar with bierocks (it's a Volga German thing commonplace in western and central Kansas), so I ordered a (very well made!) bierock for myself. It was too nippy for us to sit outside and enjoy the biergarten, yes, but the hubs wanted some beer. We loved the wide selection of brews available, and found the personal stein locker system to be both novel and smart. We hope to return.
google avatar

Torey G.

Yelp
Delicious food! I had a half liter of lager, a bierock, with THE BEST DESSERT EVER! The only thing that could make it better would be if the accordion had never been invented, but I'll take accordion music over bagpipes any day.

Andrew O.

Yelp
It's a very small restaurant with a really cool atmosphere. This was my first time having German food, and, it's safe to say, that I will be having it many more times to come. I got the paprika schnitzel, the brat teller, and a coffee ice cream desert. The schnitzel was perfectly seasoned with a delicious pepper sauce. The brat teller was a great appetizer, and the ice cream was a perfect way to top off the meal.
google avatar

Stephanie D.

Yelp
My last day in Eichita, we decided to end my day with lunch with my mom and sister at Prost. It was my first time and I will be back the next time I am in town. Growing up in a German house hold, I appreciated the authentic tastes. I especially enjoyed my jagersnitzel and spetzal. It was so delicious. I ate every bit of my plate down to the red cabbage. We enjoy the hospitality from the host and the friendly and attentive wait staff. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Creepy K.

Yelp
So i am 100% rating this place 5 star! Amazing food, great environment and the server was very attentive Me and my son had never had German food and my husband suprised us with lunch! We arrived at 1:45, they stop serving entrées at 2 but our server (Kendall (Ken), highly recommend asking for him) was nice enough to go ahead and put our order in so we could still get our food. After 2 they only serve appetizers until 5 then start serving dinner. Plus the environment is super cute . I will post a picture of the food we got and the beer menu. If you are in wichita I highly recommend. If you get fries add a side of curry sauce, you won't regret it! Plus it is decently priced which is a bonus
