A truly memorable lunch in the heart of Dubrovnik’s Old Town! The setting is elegant and peaceful, the service attentive and professional, and the food… simply outstanding. The baked octopus was incredibly fresh, perfectly tender, and beautifully presented with refined sides. We also really appreciated the staff’s recommendations for both wine and dishes. Visited in early spring (low season - April). A few tables of patrons. We were served dearly & simply the best dinner in Dubrovnik. Every dish was served with utmost delicacy & our favourite was the foie gras, smooth, buttery and literally melted in the mouth. Secondly was the mushroom & truffle pasta, creamy and mushroomy. Last but not least, the octopus tentacles were chewy & cooked to perfection. Sparkling wine was the greatest touch of all. All in all, we had a pleasant meal in Proto fish restaurant!

Stylish restaurant. If you’re looking for an elegant experience in Dubrovnik, this fits the bill. Fresh, delicious and thoughtful dishes (great sauces). Attentive service. Nice atmosphere.

We had an unforgettable dining experience at this seafood restaurant. We enjoyed fresh Ston oysters followed by a superb seafood platter featuring sea bass fillet, lobster, scallops, prawns, and grilled vegetables. Each element was cooked to perfection, but the standout for us were the scallops – absolutely divine. We paired the meal with a chilled glass of Karta Katarina Pošip, a crisp and aromatic white wine that complemented the seafood beautifully. For dessert, we had a rich and velvety chocolate mousse that ended the meal on a perfect note. The ambiance was lovely, and the service was warm and attentive. One small detail – a side plate was missing at the table when we arrived, but that’s more of a professional habit we noticed and did not affect our overall impression. If anything, it’s just a small suggestion to elevate an already excellent service. We highly recommend this seafood restaurant – from food to atmosphere to staff, everything was exceptional.

One of the best restaurants we’ve dined at in Dubrovnik, highly recommend coming here if you’re in town. The service was excellent and our server was very helpful in giving us recommendations on what to try. We ordered oysters and beef carpaccio to start. Then had Grilled Sea Bass, Fettuccine with Scampi and Black Truffles, and Oven Roasted Octopus Tentacles. All the main dishes were wonderful but the octopus tentacles was some of the best I’ve ever had in my life, I didn’t even know you can make octopus that tender! Finished off with a couple of desserts, one that was kinda like a lava cake but filled with a pistachio sauce and then a serving of chocolate mousse. Great ambiance especially with the terrace seating.

Extremely pleasant cozy ambiance in the heart center Stradun,with superbly prepared fresh fish and very good wine. Highly recommended !

Michelin star seafood restaurant. Food was okay but price was high for what it was in my opinion. We had scallop, grilled octopus and 1.2kg sea bass grilled with veg and potatoes (150€!!).

Proto is an exceptional restaurant in every sense. The seafood was fresh, the meal was perfect, great value for price, beautiful ambiance and amazing service. Highly recommend!!!
