"‘A little piece of France in Wanstead’ is the tagline at this busy and welcoming neighbourhood bistro – and it certainly delivers on the promise. The extensive menu is a roll-call of classic French dishes from escargots and soupe à l’oignon to coq au vin and steak frites. They prove to be impressively executed too, providing satisfying flavours at fair prices. A startlingly good value 'prix fixe' is available throughout the day Tuesday to Thursday and for lunch only on Friday and Saturday." - Michelin Inspector
Really interesting tour of this beautiful historic house. Princess Olga made it really special with the detail of her ancestry and background of real life experiences of living in a piece of local history. We have now purchased her book to learn more. Highly recommended.

Myself and friends had a very enjoyable visit to Princess Olga's house. Made all the more interesting because she showed us around herself, telling stories of her family and it's history. The Princess made us very welcome.

A trip into the past with Princess Olga as a wonderful guide. Fascinating story if the restoration works completed and planned. Really worth a visit.

The website suggests that you are able to come between half 10 and 2 for a guided tour, which is inaccurate, there are only two tours a day one at half 10 and one at 2pm. This however is just a miscommunication, the real problems is regarding Olga's attitude. After turning up at 11:30 (assuming the hour tour had finished) Olga confronted us as to why we were on the property (the visitor car park..) and told us very rudely that we were not welcome, however could come back at 2pm. Olga's mannerism and attitude was condescending and totally unnecessary. Needless to say we didn't return to the properly, the idea of spending money for the upkeep of what is no doubt a beautiful historic property isn't worth an hour of being spoken down to from a real life 'princess'. Take a picture from the car park and drive away for free.

Very interesting place with a lot of history, and the host is very knowledgeable about her family and ancestors. Might be the only chance you get to talk to a princess
