PS. Cafe - Review - Dempsey Hill - Singapore - The Infatuation

"The Harding Road location of this local chain is situated behind a wall of trees, so it feels like a rainforest hideout - if rainforest hideouts served truffle fries by the pile and disguised pad thai as a salad. When you need somewhere for a casual business lunch or to meet up with someone who will have one or two small humans in tow, this is the perfect spot. Every PS Cafe location is consistently good, but there’s something about the outdoor patio, full bar, and selection of cakes that makes this one our favorite." - Anthony Eu

PS. Cafe Harding Road - SilverKris

"Set in a rustic one-storey bungalow in the homegrown cafe group’s Dempsey outpost, this lush escape offers relaxing views of its green-filled lawn through huge windows and an all-day dining menu inspired by global cuisines. Highlights include the moreish Turkish bread with whipped ricotta and feta cream spiced with za’atar, and the deliciously fusion Mee Siam Cacio Spaghettini served with tiger prawns, tau pok chips, sakura ebi and flying fish roe. Dessert is a priority—the signature sticky date pudding with toffee sauce remains a must-order. For sundowners, the pet-friendly outdoor terrace is a cosy spot to sip a Paul Mas Claudeval Rosé or a refreshing strawberry and mint spritz." - Ben Chin

PS Cafe, Dempsey: Evergreen PS Cafe is one of the few spots I’d saunter in gleefully, repeatedly. What is there not to love? It’s always resplendent, with French tres chic touches. There’s always the commanding bouquet of flowers that perfume the entire restaurant - always fresh, never wilting. It’s been a while since I’ve been back to the Dempsey cafe but boy was I glad to be back. Usually teeming with patrons and travellers busy snapping their IG shots outdoors facing the greenery, Friday was rather quiet. Which was perfect. Toni is that happy dove of your server who swoops to you and sweeps you off your feet with utter friendliness. Food is always so, so good. Nothing over the top but straight-up well presented. We were here for drinks and their signature truffle fries. We saw the sun set and the place aglow with the orange romantic table lights. What an ambience. Thank God for PS Cafes - each outlet unique and stunning. #eatstylisthtravelstylish

PS Cafe never fails to impress. The food was excellent and the service top notch. The seasonal Bak Kut Teh Birria Tacos was sooooo good! Toni welcomed us and was super friendly. We had a wonderful dining experience and all the service staff had a big role to play in that. We look forward to returning and thank you for your hospitable service!

We absolutely loved our visit. The food was amazing, and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxing meal. A special commendation to Mr. Tony, who welcomed us warmly and made us feel comfortable throughout our visit. His genuine smile, attentiveness, and thoughtful service truly elevated our dining experience. We look forward to dining here again soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Here's a review you can use for PS.Cafe: --- I recently visited PS.Cafe at Dempsey Hill and was thoroughly impressed by the experience! The café offers a stunning setting, surrounded by lush greenery and featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that create a spacious and inviting atmosphere. The menu is diverse, and the food was exceptional; I particularly enjoyed their delicious brunch options. However, while the food and ambiance were top-notch, I did notice that the service could use some improvement. Despite the café being busy, the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, which led to longer wait times for orders. Overall, PS.Cafe is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy great food, but enhancing the service could elevate the experience even further. I'll definitely be back!

Love the ambience and the tropical view. The Bloody Marys were excellent and the service was warm and attentive. We walked in without a reservation around 5 p.m. for drinks and bites, and it was the perfect way to unwind after a long day.

Google
Food was good. Staff friendly. Had to request the burger get redone as it came out medium when we ordered well done, and no one came to ask us if we wanted dessert for around 20 minutes after we finished eating, and still forgot to take the remaining plates. But otherwise a pleasant dinner and reasonable service and atmosphere

Google
We had a great meal here on a quiet afternoon. The truffle fries were great and the rosemary duck confit was great. I had this meal quite a while ago so I'm unaware if the menu has changed. my only note is that the food did take quite long to come, but it could be because the day was so quiet.

Google
Thank you PS Cafe Harding outlet, we came here to celebrate my wife’s birthday; and + we too had our wedding ceremony here (early this year) too. Always a great conducive environment for dining with family & friends. PLUS …….. the Server - Mr Balvin was a great fantastic guy. Perfect service. Great final touch to our wonderful dining experience. Thank you!

Yelp
The cafe has been a staple of Dempsey for years. Of course the food is great but the ambience and lots of greenery around the cafe makes this such a great location to just chill. Whatever you decide to have, you must always leave some room for its sticky date pudding - my one weakness and must have at PS Cafe.

Yelp
What a cute little café! Not only is the name cute, but the whole café is just a joy to dine in. My bestie Ginny and I enjoyed a relaxing brunch at this beautiful café, and I must confess I was in love. The Place: PS Café opened up in 1999 as a cozy café hidden within Projectshop clothing store in Singapore. It's what one would imagine when thinking of Sunday brunches and lazy afternoon teas and has since opened up several branches and become a popular choice for locals and Expats alike. The one that I went to is just a little hidden and off the beaten path within Dempsey (i.e. hipper and prettier version of Orchard). It's this little white, glass house nestled in beautiful greenery. You can't help but smile when you see it. White brick walls and dark wooden floors welcomes you as you step into the restaurant. Weather permitting, I highly recommend you get a table on the patio, where you can just stare into the beautiful surrounding. The Food: So, beautiful and hip ....does equal pricey menu. Not going to lie, PS Café is on the pricier side in terms of brunches, for the both of us brunch came out to be approx.. $80! Ginny and I both had their special "Portobello Mushrooms, Poached Eggs, and Asparagus" which set us back $24 each (buuuuuuut it was super delicious), fresh orange juice $9.50 x 2, and coffee $4.00 x 2. In addition to the menu items, there is also a large display of baked goods, ranging from muffins to carrot cake....mmmmmmm! We both really enjoyed our time and our meal there - but maybe not an everyday place for me (would have given it 4 stars if it was a bit less). Tip: They are famous for their fries! I didn't try them as I was too full but next time, I'll be sure to try their Truffle Fries ($15). If you guys try it, let me know how it goes.

Yelp
I've been here several times and yes... PS Cafe can be pretty overpriced... and yes... Not everything is AMAZING. But I love the vibe of the original restaurant at Dempsey and I can't ever complain about my favorite sticky date pudding so I will always keep coming back. Whenever I visit PS Cafe, I'll always order the sticky date pudding or the ginger pudding. Both are delicious and I always make room for them. Not a fan of anything a la mode though, so I usually request for the ice-cream on the side, or not at all. Their cakes go great with tea (or coffee, if you are on that side of the camp) and their selection is fair but nothing to gush over. My favorite thing about PS Cafe at Harding Road is its amazing location and how it feels like a greenhouse that's cool (thank you air-conditioning) and yet is surrounded by greenery everywhere. And the best part is how a lot of the greenery was kept as it was and isn't some pruned garden that they created around the restaurant. It makes for a lovely afternoon visit so you can enjoy being surrounded by nature.

Yelp
Well wow wow whoa. This place was a bit of a trip. Beautifully designed with fun drink and food menus but almost too westernized for our taste that evening and that early into our trip. If you're looking for the flavors of home (US) in the shape of a juicy burger and fries, this place won't disappoint. Well, I wasn't disappointed. My date wanted more from the burger (he's hella laowai) but the scraps he gave me were delish. Be prepared to spend some cashola but for the quality, portions and ambiance, it's worth it.

Yelp
On our last night in Singapore, we ventured out to Dempsey Hill and had dinner at P.S. Cafe. We got seated outdoors in the patio and the weather was perfect. The truffle fries were addicting but I mostly enjoyed the bolognese than the burger (my friend and I shared each other's entrees). We also made sure to save room for dessert. I'm not a big fan of banana cake, but let me tell you, the banana cake was to die for! [TIP] They will call a cab for you.

Yelp
When you are in Dempsey Hill, PS Café is most recommended place to visit for drink, or coffee or light meal or brunch. It is located little off from the museum, galleries, shops area but distance is walkable.. 5 minutes from shops... It is not clearly visible from outside but be sure to look for PS Cafe sign. I think best choice would be to use google map. I got lost and I got a help from Google Map. Entrance is like walking into someone's garden.. After 50 ft of walk into forest/garden path, you will see beautiful restaurant/café. I noticed most of the customer's were foreigners or tourist.. I don't think local people comes here since everything is little pricey. I love the interior design.. So beautiful. Very modern looking with classical touches throughout the restaurant. I wanted to seat outside at the patio but weather was just too hot.. Inside is fully air conditioned. I visited this location around 3 PM. It was too early for dinner so I had Lychee drink and cake for dessert... Chocolate cake was so good.. But taste of coffee was so so...

Yelp
I was torn - on whether to give 2 or 3 stars, and decided on 3 as I am an architectural geek, and this place had me from the get go. When I first saw it, it reminded me of the case study houses in California - white, mostly glass, Bauhaus style. Sitting remotely in that beautiful greenery, which just adds to the effect. However, the most beautiful architecture does not help when the main purpose of a place does not live up to its premise. We arrived late Sunday afternoon for tea and drinks and had to wait for some time to order. The guy seemed funny at first but then pulled a face at my husbands order of a Negroni and a salad. Sounds strange but I was there.. When our drinks and food arrived, my husband had to get rid of around 10 ice cubes from his drink, reducing the (very watery and non-Negroni tasting) cocktail to a shot. My Bloody Mary was ok but for the price I was expecting a highball size, at least, and not a water glass. To cut the whole story short, we stayed longer, enjoyed the view and the quiet, but the service (we had 5 different people over the course of our stay attending to us, extremely slow, kept forgetting orders etc.) would've made me leave otherwise. I wanted to love it, but the extortionate bill does not match the service provided or the "OK" food - not to mention the inconsistency with drinks.

Yelp
I came here on a Thursday night with a friend. We usually operate on a tight budget so this was a rare indulgence for both of us. I ordered the PS Burger and shared a plate of truffle fries and a sticky date pudding with my friend. I wasn't a huge fan of the burger as I felt like it was a little bland. The fries that came with the burger, however, were thickly cut and wonderful! They came with a mayo dip that seemed to be infused with a zesty taste and some herb that I couldn't quite identify. In short, it was wonderful. The truffle fries and pudding were, as always, sinful goodness. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to visit the cafe. The atmosphere was great, as always, but service was slow. We came before the peak dining period but still faced issues with having our water refilled in a timely fashion. Though, that wasn't too big of an issue in the grander scheme of things. All in all, a great place to visit!

Yelp
Guys, before I even START my review, I have to sing the praises of PS's HEAVENLY sticky date pudding. That was the BEST dessert to EVER hit my tongue. I can't believe it. It was hot, moist, just the right density, the sauce was perfectly caramelly with just a little saltiness, and the vanilla bean icecream completed the whole thing. Like, man. That was so good. Two things to know before dining here: if it's busy, you might wait 40+mins for food, and if you're sitting outside, bring mosquito repellent. There's not many bugs out there, but if you're like me and happen to be a walking Mozzie Buffet, sitting right by the jungle can be an....er, interesting experience. HOWEVER. The food here is great! I absolutely LOVED their Pad Thai Salad - the prawns were tender and well cleaned, the veggies were fresh and crunchy, and the peanut sauce and flavourful spices were delicious. 10/10 would order again. I also loved their ranges of Gin - the subtle tastes and flavours were really fun to explore. Tried the truffle fries and honestly don't have too much to say. They were pretty average, and the first batch we had to send back to the kitchen because they were stone cold :/ the hot ones were nice enough, but I wouldn't order them again. Also, I've already raved about their Sticky Date, but we also grabbed PS's specialty brownie...which actually wasn't that great, to be honest! It looks FASCINATING, stacked a mile high with huge fluffy marshmallows and covered with ganache, but the brownie itself was more the consistency of a sponge, and it was sickeningly sweet. Even the ice cream wasn't enough of a break between the hectic chocolate gooeyness, so we all ended up going cross-eyed from sugar overload and only eating 1/4 of the slice all up. Considering the calibre of the other meals we ordered, this one was a bit of a disappointment. Service: 4/5 stars Food: 4/5 stars overall Atmosphere: 5/5 stars Speed: 1.5/5 stars on a busy day.

Yelp
Not my favourite restaurant. The good thing of the restaurant is its location, Dempsey hill and the restaurant is nicely decorated. However, service is bad, I visited this restaurant twice and both times it took really long to wave your hands around to get attention of staff to come to serve you. Some staff even got annoyed when being called them. Food quality is not matching the expensive price. I tried several main dishes there but they could not make any good impact on my memory.

Yelp
Came here for a brunch on Sunday. Foods are excellent. I order a lasagna and my wife some chicken parmigiano. Although the chicken they brought was not well cooked (still a little bit pink, which is not advised for pregnant women), the taste was still good. They made a new one but the quantity looked smaller. I enjoyed my lasagna, making me want to bake one myself soon. The environment is nice, with a direct view on the park. Giving only 3 stars because the chicken was not well cooked and no free WIFI !

Yelp
This is a great place to have an afternoon chill time with friends. PS Cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating areas. The surrounding lush greeneries keep the place shaded and cool. My friends and I visited PS Cafe for tea and dessert. Although we planned for just having the cakes, we had to order the truffles fries- the smell was just too tempting! The desserts are alright- not bad! I say- visit this place if u have to chill and enjoy the ambiance.

Yelp
"The ambience is nice, but the food is so-so." - I'm definitely misquoting Paik Choo here. For ladies-that-lunch and you KNOW you need to have that little finger crooked while you sip your tea with a slice of lemon. If being seen while you have your coffee and cake is important, then THIS is the place. Service - The waiters are generally more pleasant and attentive. The hostess had an incredible dismissive and disdainful attitude. She actually made me feel bad for trying to spend money at her place of employment. Too bad I was too lazy to find another place to eat. Damn my lack of principles! And I found such a nice sheltered parking lot, too. Food - Truffle fries - Meh. Shepard's pie - salty, other assorted mains, too uneventful to remember. Reuben sandwich (see pic) sad and wilted. Desserts - Cakes are huge. But expensive. So share if you must. Cakes are on the dry side. And had a dense sponge texture. Like a kitchen sink sponge. Not that I have tasted one. (That's my story I'm sticking to it.) Price - The price of starters and entrees are stupidly expensive. I mean, seriously ridiculous. $8 for a coke, go figure. $28 to $40 for entrees. Desserts are about $18. Wha-what? Final note: I come here at most once a year. Only because I work 5 minutes away, and its a nice place to bring overseas colleagues to impress them. I am shallow that way. But beyond that, there are a million other places with better food and better service.

Yelp
We've been to the restaurant on Dempsey Hill a couple of times now. The first time around was for brunch on the weekend. It was packed. We were both cheating our Paleo lifestyle because we weren't feeling well and were craving comfort food. I had the special, which was crab cakes and poached eggs (I think - it's been awhile). The food was awesome and so was the long black coffee. They brought us a dish of honey for our coffee that was awesome - thick, gooey, and not overly sweet. Not a big deal to most, but I take my coffee pretty seriously! :) Hubby ordered the shepherd's pie, which was good, but not what he expected. It's a bit different than the American version because it has ground beef prepared similar to spaghetti sauce inside of it. The views were gorgeous and we were very pleased. Our second trip was for dinner last night. We sat outside and I started out with the Pimm's Cooler, which is my favorite drink in all of Singapore thus far. I ordered the burger, hold the cheese and the bun and he got the chicken parm, hold the cheese and croutons. Totally hit the spot, and our server did a great job delivering our order - I know we can be a pain trying to make dishes work for Paleo. This place is definitely our speed and we'll be back again and again.

Yelp
Came for Thursday afternoon tea with a friend. tl;dr: Great atmosphere, cakes are generous for their price, drinks are yummy. Oh, the smell of truffle fries wants me to come back... Overall score: 4.2/5 - will return. Great for tea. --- Atmosphere --- PS Cafe on 28B Harding Road isn't easy to find unless you know what you're looking for, but when you do find it, you'll realize why. The entrance is to the "back" of the establishment if you're coming from Dempsey Hill, and is located on Harding Road on the way to the White Rabbit. It's sunk low into the ground, on a hill. The interior decor is astounding, and it clearly reflects its founders' taste in fashion and design (did you know that PS Cafe stands for Project Shop Cafe, for back when it was a cafe attached to a fashion goods store?) A tall ceiling combined with floor-to-ceiling glass partitions keeps the venue air-conditioned and cool while maintaining the feel that you're still sitting in a cafe in the middle of a rainforest. While the view looks down the hill at the side of a clump of trees/the forest, it actually adds to the experience as the wood is mirrored in the construction of PS Cafe. Chalkboards subtly hint at menu options in discreet locations, while the volume stays at a level where you're not afraid to talk above a whisper, but neither are you struggling to hear what your buddies are talking about. Score: 4.5/5 --- Food/Drinks --- My buddy and I split a slice of the Golden Banana Butterscotch Cake. Originally, I thought we were going to order our own slices, but then he pointed out how big they were. They're quite sizable, and for tea or dessert, one is perfectly fine for two people to share. It wasn't overly dry nor wet, and the taste of banana was subtle and not overbearing. It was accompanied by ice cream, which complimented it perfectly. For the price you're paying, it was well worth it. I had a Grapefruit Lychee Caipiroska, which I thought was splendid and refreshing for the hot day that it was. A little too much ice for my liking, but it came with sliced grapefruit and lychees floating inside, a touch of effort which I greatly appreciate in a drink. Flavorful and yummy, took the edge off of the vodka that was used, which was perfect. I will add a caveat that this place has me wanting to come back after seeing my friend's coffee affogato and smelling the truffle fries from the table next to ours. Score: 4/5 --- Service --- Polite and friendly would be how I would describe service. Despite ordering maybe two drinks and one food dish, the servers let us continue to sit for about two hours, even though the first sitting for dinner was already filtering in and being served (I felt woefully underdressed in my shorts at this point in time, lol). Score: 4/5 --- Miscellaneous --- Nothing to say here that I haven't already said. Score: nil/5

Yelp
This place is the poster child for over priced trash , nice venue , very attentive staff. Nice place for coffee or drink. But avoid the over priced menu. Plain and simple food just isn't nice or worth the price.

Yelp
The view and location reminds me a lot of Ubud, in Bali amidst the greenery. I come here almost every Sunday, and it was never the time we don't queue up for atleast a good 20 minutes. It is always so packed! The food is good- I tried the steak sandwich and the burger. They come with fries on the side, instead of normal fries I normally switch it to truffle fries. Ordering the truffle fries alone is such a waste as I only come with one other person. The truffle fries comes in big serving... And I can't get enough of it! It's damn good! I like the chicken parmigiana too. The spaghetti aglio olio was alright. Lastly, don't go home without having dessert. Everyone kept saying the pecan lime cake, but please do try the banana butterscoth which comes with ice cream! It's so on point and u will never regret it. It's a big portion, so you might want to share it with someone :)

Yelp
Came with 3 friends on a Saturday night. I made reservation so I did not have to wait long before seated (Poor lady in front of me who didn't make prior reservation had to wait quite a bit). The place is softly lighted. Although it's crowded, my friends agreed that this cafe is a pleasant hangout place for chilling or long dinners. As for the food, the portions are huge and prices for mains range from $20 - $30. I ordered some curry rosemary lamb meatballs with long grain rice. The meatballs came in the size of ping pong balls. I like how the balls had the very mild lamb taste and stuffed a few pine nuts for that few surprise chews. We also ordered truffle fries. I have tried their fries at Ann Siang Hill outlet prior to this and it was delicious. But this outlet over fried the fries. So my friends didn't get why I was raving about it. Overall this is a nice cafe for relaxing if you have a car or take cab. I took around 10 mins walk from the nearest bus stop.

Yelp
If you want to die of a heat stroke and get shitty service, go to PS Cafe. I'm starting to think that either my brunch expectations are too high, or my friends don't like me. Either way, I keep going to brunch places that everyone RAVES about, and I'm left scratching my head thinking, did I come to the right place? Headed over to meet a g/f for Sunday brunch around noon, thankfully she was there a bit early and snagged us a table, as the que was quite long otherwise. It took A WHILE for the waiter to come over to take our order, which I understand they were busy, come 20 minutes to take a drink order? Nope. We literally had to wave the guy over. Ordered my drink order, which he messed up, I drank my $18 lychee (it was supposed to be peach) anyway because I was scared it would take another 30 minutes to get one, and off we went. I had the eggs florentine, we split a salad and friend had bolognese. My eggs needed salt. I'm still getting used to the fact that they don't put salt and pepper shakers on the table here (perhaps I'll keep some in my purse) so I asked for salt and it never came. It took another 30 minutes to clear my plate, and another 20 for the bill. By this time, something happened to the A/C as I was sweating my ass off. Literally, my ass was stuck to the seat. And I was wearing a dress. Not cute. Honestly for a $175 brunch (2 entrees, a split salad, 3 drinks, and thats IT) I expect a hell of a lot more on the service front than that. It's a damn shame because the place is super cute, and the menu looked great, although I would skip the florentine. Not good. Will I come back? Highly doubtful, if I want to sweat like that, I'll hit a hot yoga class.

Yelp
Everything was amazing. The foods were really good although the portion was little big. I especially liked the mushroom soup. Fish with soba was also very good. BLT sandwich was also amazing.

Yelp
Really like this place can't believe I've only just discovered it - have always known it was here, but its so well hidden behind the foliage in Dempsey that you don't really notice it when you drive past - it has a little secret garden feel to it walking up to the place, but once you're inside its high ceilings, lights, cake, laughter - the quiet exterior is completely different from the warm interior. Although pricey, it is a lovely place to go for a special night out or a date - and the food is surprisingly good! The portions are big, and the ribs that I had were drop off the bone fantastic - even better than the ones at Lawry's the Prime Rib! The meat was soooo succulent and easy to take off the bone, and the coleslaw and fried onions that accompanied it were executed just as well. The fries ($12) are huge, thus explaining the price. You could happily share a plate between 4 people - but it smelt so strongly of bottled truffle oil that it really took the flavour of the fries themselves away. Think it would have been better served salted and with sweet chilli and aioli. All in all a very good experience, will be going back again!

Yelp
P.S Cafe is a quaint spot with a large seating area inside and outside. The acoustics do get a little echoey with all the glass walls, so I would suggest a sitting arrangement outside. Had some coffee there and the sights are just great. You almost feel like you're in the great outdoors, only in the safe confinement of a modern structure. The parking is fantastic. There are several reasons why I might brag about it, firstly its free, secondly its just by the road so its only a short distance walk, thirdly its a change from all the systematic parking you'll find in Singapore. I do enjoy good parking lots :P The one and only reason why I frequent this place, the ambiance is to die for! And the parkings great, and the architecture is inspiring, and the service is decent, and the food is pretty good, and the coffee is good.... Yeah you get my point.

Yelp
Not my favorite place. Menu is boring and nothing special. I ordered Caesar salad and the dressing was warm, really really warm. I'm not opposed to warm salads, but it needs to be listed in the menu as such. But it was a creamy based dressing and that makes me nervous as I've had food poisoning from Warm Caesar salads. Staff refused to just take salad off of our Bill afer only eating two bites. (I thought I may just had a portion that happen to be near the heat lamp so I tried another side of the dish) They insisted to give me another which when u explained that I do not like warm Caesar Salads. They still brought me a new one and it was STILL VERY WARM. I ended up leaving it there as I had no use for a dish I did not want. I suggested they mention in the menu that this dish is served warm. I think it fell on deaf ears. There are so many restaurants in Singapore especially Dempsey Hill, that this is not worth even considering

Yelp
Been here a few times for desserts. I particular like their dark chocolate cake which was very decadent and has a rich chocolatey flavor. The slice is huge though and comes with an ice-cream so would recommend sharing. Their cheesecake is also quite good. A bit pricey but ambience is nice / a good place to meet up with friends.

Yelp
The PS Cafe on Harding Road is a really nice refuge from the people and noise of the city. In general I am a city person but sometimes it is nice to go somewhere calmer. I have always felt that it is nice and calm and have always received good service here even when it is busy. The food is however nothing special, I have had some of the brunch dishes such as as the pad thai and the 'leftover' lasagna. The pad thai is decent but considering that there are a lot of Thai restaurants in Singapore I would say that one can get it cheaper and better elsewhere. The lasagna is nice but not something to base a visit on. What I mostly like to do here is actually just have a drink and enjoy the environment. If it is busy they will most likely want you to eat something and my experience that most things are decent but nothing is outstanding or surprising. I do still not necessarily think that it is bad thing, I do sometimes not seek the new or exciting thing and then this can very well do.

Yelp
A beautiful cafe with Super rude stuff ! Was told I wanted a indoor table to dine and was told to wait a min while they clear the table . Waiting is fine waited for 20 mins , in the end was given a outdoor table. Asked the waiter what's happening . Was told now is full . I replied why do you have to lie to my face and ask me wait for 20 mins . The waiter told me I speaking rudely to him by asking him and say you only waited 15mins and repeated it's ONLY 15 mins

Yelp
I dined with my friends on a Sunday evening for a birthday celebration. The space and ambience was comfortable, and the service was pretty efficient. The Truffle fries are a must! And I usually pair it with the Apple Toffee Pudding. Wished for more versatility with their vegetarian options as some of us cannot take onion/garlic and would like to have it removed. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our meal overall.

Yelp
I ordered the Morocco Miracle stack and it was one of the best dishes I have ever had. The seasoning was delightful, the vegetables had excellent flavor, and the presentation was beautiful. My husband had the smoked salmon benedict and it was superb. The hollandaise sauce was good, not a easy task. The service was good, attentive while still allowing us to enjoy the table. The only reason that I am not giving this 5 stars is because the desserts were not as good as they could have been--not as decadent--given their description and presentation. (I have only been impressed with one dessert in Singapore, but I think PS.Cafe has what it takes to get the desserts on the map.) Frosting on M's Carrot Cake, though perfect in taste and texture, is not enough in quantity given the size of the slice. It needs layers of frosting throughout to take it to the next level. Dark Chocolate Banana Cheesecake had a suggestion of dark chocolate on the top. When the first words are "dark chocolate" I am looking for dark chocolate and this was Banana Cheesecake, though again the flavor was excellent and the texture was heavenly. Flourless Orange Cake with orange butterscotch sauce was delicious. The orange was subtle, the butterscotch sauce superb, but I think again this is more of a cheesecake than a flourless cake. I will return and order dessert as I desperately want to find the 5th star!

Yelp
Love this place. The food and drinks were really good. The ambience was great. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
A lot of people say that as a brand, PS.Cafe's food is a little pricey, considering the quality. While not entirely unfair, I do feel that there's a consistency that is worthy of appreciation. Of all the branches, this is my favourite for a casual night out. Nestled amidst lush greenery, when you sit outdoors it's almost possible to forget you're still in Singapore. Almost no roads in sight, just vegetation, it's a nice place to spend the evening, or even an afternoon. The food and drink are, to me, are more than satisfactory. I love their house salad, a mixed green salad livened up by blueberries, sunflower seeds, and a delicious pomegranate dressing. Very addictive. I also thoroughly enjoy their mud crab pasta. While I usually don't order crab because I'm lazy to work for my food, the flavour of the crab blends very well with the sauce, and I order it almost every time I go. They have a great mushroom soup, though I forget exactly what they call it, and an excellent selection of cocktails. Their truffle fries are also a big hit, though the lactose intolerant should be aware that theirs come served with cheese. When I first heard of PS.Cafe though, it was for their cakes and desserts. The Chocolate Blackout is IMMENSE, and I refuse to believe anyone can finish it alone. Their puddings are really good, though I found their key lime pie just 'okay'. Overall it's a little pricey to be a regular fixture on my weekly schedule, but a great place to head to when you want to meet up with friends you haven't seen in forever. It can be a little noisy on Friday and Saturday nights though, so if you're hoping for long intense conversations... it's not always ideal.

Yelp
I hate to do this but I need to get this off my chest. Yesterday after a wonderful brunch of quiche and sangria I was leaving this Dempsey establishment and admiring the bread selection. At the moment of almost grabbing the ash boule a rat crawled out from the bread, my friends and I screamed and ran from the restaurant. I hope they threw away the bread. Either way I will never eat there again. And thats too bad becuase I loved that restaurant. I fantasized about moving the restaurant out and living in the beautiful glass and concrete structure. I think their sangrias are some of the best breakfast drinks around. I am a huge fan of the food and decor. But a rat killed it for me.

Yelp
On the advice of a friend of a friend (yup I followed that line of advice, as I did not know directly anyone living in Singapore ;-) ) So up Dempsey hill you will find this place. Nice location, with a great terrace on a green area. The inside decoration is modern and quite posh. I went there only for coffee and cake. Coffee is great, my cake was average. The rest of the food looked very nice though, and people seemed happy about theirs :-) It's a typical place for expats, with a friendly but quite "posh" service, no real warmth in the service. Seems a lot like the place to be because it has been declared as such, and not because it fully deserves it.

Yelp
This outlet, while quaintly surrounded by the greenery, is not recommended if you don't drive - well you can take a cab there but will have to call for a cab when you're done. Unless you don't mind the walk through dempsey down to holland road to take the bus. It's a really romantic atmosphere if you're walking in here in the evening, the pathway is lined with candles before you enter the bustling cafe. It's usually full of people, you'd be lucky to get a table on weekends without making a reservation. I've been here for dinner once, I found the food too average for the price (or maybe I didn't order the right stuff). Had the chicken parmiggiano and truffle fries. The chicken was a little bland and the fries, while served in a generously hefty portion, significantly lacked the truffle flavour, it almost feels like they forgot the truffle somehow. I like the touch of parmesan cheese on top but could do with more cheese! I've also been here for a tea break. My friend and I were on a pie hunt and PS cafe have some really good pies. Their display of desserts will have you salivating! I had the key lime pie while my friend had the chocolate walnut pie. The key lime pie was an absolute delight of citrus burst in your mouth, so refreshingly good! I just didn't like whip cream on top of it that had some coconut sprinkles, I'll be sure to tell them to skip that the next time I order it, the pie is fine on its own. The walnut pie was really rich, we couldn't finish it! Final verdict: Come here for a nice date night or if you live nearby otherwise there are other more accessible PS Cafes in town but definitely DO NOT miss out on the key lime pie! Oh but not all outlets serve the key lime pie though, the one at Ann Siang for one, doesn't serve the key lime.

Yelp
4 stars for restaurant location, design and vibe. 2 stars for inattentive staff who either couldn't be bothered or just poorly trained. 2 stars for food. Two bland burgers and one pasta with a few shrimp, no drinks, no appetizers for $110. P.S. I pass.

Yelp
I do a lot of lunches here both for business and pleasure. It's pricey given it's casual setting. It would even raise a few eyebrows in Beverly Hills for the audacity of the brunch menu prices but ... welcome to Singapore! If it's even remotely decent western food it's going to be priced like truffle oil. I usually do soup and/or salad and have to say the lunch menu has never let me down. This is on par with the cafes I used to grab lunch in San Francisco. I also get the most consistently good soy lattes here. Dinner time is a little more dressy. It's a nice spot to come for a good cocktail and a nice meal out on the patio. Brunches are a zoo. Seriously, it's like Disneyland on New Years if you come on a Sunday. The brunch food is pretty good though I've occasionally had some very sketchy [read: raw whites] eggs. Now this happens a lot around town so even in high end places I've kinda given up on my old friend eggs benny. Desserts are to die for. The carrot cake is my current crush but I also had a brief entanglement with the ginger toffee cake that could have got serious. Don't miss dessert even if you have to take it to-go.

Yelp
Okay, let's just get it out of the way: everything on the brunch menu is yummy. Ev-ar-ee-thing. So, don't fuss over what to order, unless you're super picky. It's all good, yo. Fer realz. All the P.S. Cafe outlets are pretty solid when it comes to food quality, I've found. What they offer in terms of locations, though, is atmosphere and ambiance. THIS spot has the most relaxing brunch views of them all. The outdoor area opens up onto grass -- and lots of it. Bring the kids and the pram, let them run around while you sip your soy latte (soy! yay!) and read the paper as you tuck into some waffles. COME EARLY as it's clearly no secret that this is a popular place for brunchin.' You will have to wait unless you get here when they open, which is at 10am. But you won't regret it. You could hang onto that table all afternoon iffin ya wanna. My only complaint (and hence the 4 stars instead of 5) is that the service is patchy. I should not have to ask you to top up my water. I also should not have to flail my arms wildly on the patio to get your attention. And I should not have to wait 15 minutes for you to bring my bill, only to discover that you've brought the wrong bill, and then worry that you don't know what we ordered in the first place. Get those last bits together, Harding, and we'll be on our way to 5-star brunch paradise.

Yelp
PS Cafe is no stranger to the cafe market in Singapore. One of the first eateries to make Dempsey hip, it is vastly different to its other branches in Orchard. This one is tucked away amidst verdant greenery and with ceiling-to-floor glass windows, the view and light streaming in doesn't get better. Great for weekend brunch, or afternoon tea, or dinner, there really isn't a bad time to come. The menu has favorites such as a big breakfast, truffle fries, a hearty mushroom soup and decadent desserts. Prices are slightly verging on overpriced for a place people come for brunch or dessert but you're pretty much paying for the ambience and the cool yuppie looks other yuppies give you.

Yelp
Good food for those looking for a change from the usual SG fare. We started with the Truffle Fries-which were a huge serving and very tasty. Definitely enough for 4 people. It was a bit much for 2. I had Flamed Shrimp Torteglini and my friend had the Miso Cod. Both were very good. Prices were high, but overall a nice place for dinner. Being in Dempsey, it provided a nice area to walk afterwards, but definitely not MRT/Bus friendly.

Yelp
Served uncooked chicken. Sent it back and waited for replacement dish. No luck, no one cared so I asked for the check and left hungrier than when I came. Not coming back

Yelp
You can't beat the location of this spot and the decor was on point, unfortunately the rest really leaves something to be desired. It was brunch time on the weekend but luckily we only waited about half an hour for a table. They have an automated queue which seemed tricky for some patrons to figure out. You have to enter a phone number so they can call you when your table is ready which can be an issue with international roaming fees. The service for a place this pricey needs to be better. Our server wasn't pleasant. She seemed experienced but like she really just doesn't enjoy her job. We were hoping for some condiments to accompany our truffle fries but she never came by to ask if we needed anything/how the food was. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered a club sandwich that had egg with creamed spinach. The texture was mush and the flavors didn't work for me. B had the chicken parm and wasn't overwhelmed with enthusiasm for it. The portion of the truffle fries was huge but they were just meh. Our drinks were the most questionable part of the meal. We ordered the fresh veg/fruit blends and were extremely put off that they were separated and warm. I didn't really want to finish it but with such a hefty price and in desperate need of some greens, down the hatch it went. This place has SO much potential. It was super busy so clearly people are willing to forgive the mediocre food and sub par service... shame, it could be so much more and a much better experience for guests.

Yelp
Food is good. Atmosphere very good, kinda like a favorite hangout place for the housewives of Singapore. A bit pricey though

Yelp
This was one of my favorite places to do brunch when I lived in Singapore. The ambiance was very serene minus the flies lol. You definitely want to sit outdoors if the weather is nice. The best alcoholic drinks were the White Bouquet Sangria and the Rose and Berries Sangria. They were infused with both flowers and fruit...heaven I normally order the pancakes which are pretty good. The menu can be a bit pricey but so is everything else in Singapore :)

Yelp
Tucked away in the greener part of Dempsey Hill is the fantastic place! High ceilings, funky straight forward decor makes this cafe one of the more charming of its style in Singapore. The large menu features a great selection of comfort food items all for under $30. Service is always very warm and friendly, in fact one of the friendliest bunch of floor staff in Singapore. PS Café have really recreated that funky comforting café vibe that I miss from places back in Sydney and Melbourne. The selection of cakes and desserts are not to be missed, regardless of if you have room for dessert. Weather its been a Monday night after work or a lazy brunch, every time I've set foot in this place its packed. Though when you have a restaurant in a fantastic location, that provides the full package in terms of service, food and ambience its not hard to see why its so busy

Yelp
Out of all the outlets that P.S. Cafe has around Singapore, the branch at Dempsey has got to be my favourite. The restaurant is nestled in the greenery of Dempsey, and has an alfresco dining area which is really pleasant to sit at in the afternoons. Food, as with all the P.S. Cafe restaurants, is decent - though some might call it overpriced. Come for the desserts which are massive, and good enough to share with 2 other people. Also come to people watch. The crowd at this branch tends to be trendier and better looking than the other branches. Side note though: this branch gets massively overpacked over the weekends, so reservations are recommended.

Yelp
The PS Café in Dempsey Hill is my favorite branch of the restaurant. Its set amidst lush greenery and is set up like a greenhouse. Chose to sit inside, but I prefer sitting outside facing nature. The food is a bit pricey here, but you pay for the ambience as well. Ive tried a lot of food here and its mostly Western with a bit of fusion Asian thrown in. Their fish and chips are good, as are their truffle fries and salads. They have interesting drinks and cocktails and my favorite to get is the lime and mint soda--kind of like a non alcoholic mojito. Definitely come here for the desserts. The apple crumble is pretty good and served with vanilla ice cream. A nice place to go for brunch on the weekends.

Yelp
A nice place it is, indeed! The food: okay - but very far from delicious. We (4pers.) have visited this place for Dinner yesterday and really liked the Restaurant for its nice interieur. We ordered Salads and Mains, it did not even took five minutes to receive our food after ordering - but... unfortunately sauces tasted the same (different meals). One main dish, a pasta, was very far from "al dente". Also, ordered a fresh juice from the menu and asked for a small extra. The waiter answered a "no can" because... we were told from the staff the juices are pre-mixed, not freshly made - well, but the menu offered "fresh" juices. We finally got the impression: Sauces, Juices, Pasta,... all is pre-mixed, pre-cooked... no, we cannot recommend. One star for the Interiour design. None for the food. There are much better restaurants to go in Singapore.

Yelp
I used to love going to PS Cafe for brunch during the weekend but I find that since practically a year, the food quality has degraded. Is it cost cutting?, I am not sure but I wish their food was a good as before... For example, their steak sandwich used to be so good. But the last time I ordered it, the bread and steak was different and ended up not being as tasty as before. The meat is so thin and dry now compare to the thick juicy one before.
