Totally not pet-friendly, despite what you may read online. Most posts say small dogs are allowed in the mall (in prams) and can access cafés like PS.Café (level 1) or Mr Woof on Level 4. So we brought our dogs in a pram, thinking it was fine.
We parked in the car park and managed to get to Level 1 — but there were no clear signs or pet-friendly lifts. You either take the escalator (unsafe with a pram) or wait awkwardly for the lift, getting death stares from people who dislike dogs.
When we finally reached PS.Café at level 1, we were ushered out by the PS Café staff saying that we are NOT allowed to enter their restaurant through the mall entrance! We were asked to leave immediately and that we had to go outside the mall and re-enter their restaurant via the “outdoor” entrance… which was blocked by plants and barricades, and only accessible by stairs (no ramp!). How are people with prams (as required by the mall) supposed to get into the cafe through there? And if you allow dogs and only allow them to enter through your outside entrance, why are the entrances manually sealed off? This is showing that you obviously do not welcome dogs.
To make it worse, the staff clearly didn’t like dogs — they were unhelpful, unfriendly, and dismissive. Katong is a neighbourhood full of pet owners; it’s baffling that a café here can be so unwelcoming.
If you have pets, DON’T bother coming here. The “pet-friendly” label online is a joke.
Honestly, PS Katong - Either be truly pet-friendly and accessible, or stop advertising that you are.
