densest donuts i ever had, i give it a second change to try after a month still dense, plus they ask almost double price for glazed donut then anywhere else, definitely not coming back, sad donut i ever had

Very quirky and creative donut shop! There are so many varieties of specialty donuts to choose from. It definitely isn't a typical donut store. The experience of such a fun donut is worth every penny! Tried a few different ones with some friends and they were all very sweet and delicious, great for calming a sweet tooth!

In what world does a donut shop get off charging so much for basic donuts. $35 for a dozen??!! $16+tax for 4 donuts!! Nothing special just fancy names… will not come back.

Visiting my family in San Jose and asked for some good local treats and this was one place they mentioned. So we hit it up on the last day and it was delicious. I love the theme and decor. They offer a variety of fun merch but that’s not why you’re reading this. The donuts... The donuts were very unique. There was a big variety of crazy custom creations and some ‘normal’ donuts too. We got a variety and then split them so that we could sample a bunch; so glad we did. The Girl Scout Cookies was very minty and good. The Sticky Monkey was sticky and delicious, though a little sought in the middle. The S’mores was good, as was the Boston Scream. We had a raised maple and cake too, they were as good as the rest but ‘normal’ donuts. Overall I think the Sticky Monkey was my favorite. If I’m the area then check this place out!

The donuts were just okay tasting. I went at night and they didn't have much left, so I suggest calling to check what times they put out their fresh batches. I bought s dozen of the fancy donuts and it cost me about $34.

Love Psycho Donuts! I've been going there for about 5 years. Don’t get there as much as we'd like because we live 4 hours away. Every time we're in the area, we go there.

Very interesting decor, love the art works on the walls, very unique painting and drawings, full of talent. The variety of unique donuts decorated in a fun way. They were delicious but little bit pricey.

Come early for more selections. The pumpkin fritter (probably available only during fall) is a huge feat to eat but it's amazing how quickly it disappears into thin air. Beyond the daily allowance for sugar high allowance!

Yelp
I don't feel good about leaving a poor review here but I've been left with no choice. Been coming here for about 15+ years. For years and years we loved it here. A large variety of fun and exciting flavor combinations. The donut itself light and fluffy and flavorful. My kids always loved them and I enjoyed as well. Recently, as in the last 2+ years, they have gone extremely downhill. I've been reluctant to make this review but the quality, and already poor service have been getting continuously worse. The service has always been young teenagers who are monotone, distant and lacking any personality. I've ignored that as the donuts were fun and my kids enjoyed them. The last visit we came at 845am on a Saturday - early, to expect a full variety ondisplay, yet what was offered were less than 10 different options. Our favorites we have had for years were "not available". We ended up with the following that is pictured. To be honest they were very dry and more overly sweet than usual. Quite disappointing to what we have enjoyed for years. The quality continues to go down and this was our final straw. It's likely we will not return.

Yelp
We stopped in yesterday during a long drive. The place hasn't aged all that well imo and I was disappointed to see that most of the donuts looked... like regular donuts just with different colors and cute names... like my husband got a Cutie (strawberry old fashioned donut) and a "this one" or maybe it was "that one" I forget - it was just a glazed old fashioned with some frosting drizzle. The one he didn't choose was just a chocolate old fashioned with drizzle. They had three super fancy donuts - cereal killer, vanilla wafer, and some oreo cookie thing. Then they had 2 semi-fancy?? one banana cream filled and one chocolate cream filled. Honestly I bought the chocolate cream filled specifically because another reviewer bought it and said it wasn't very good, and I wanted to see if I agreed. To start with, had to eat half the donut just to even find the chocolate filling, which wasn't ideal. The chocolate filling tasted exactly like a snak-pak chocolate pudding to me. So I'd agree, kind of mild flavored... and not very... exciting. I'd agree this suicide squeeze (I think I'm remembering the name right) was a bit lackluster. I did really enjoy the cherry icing drizzled on top though. More of that please! No "Strawberry Fields" though they still had a picture of it on their wall. When I asked the woman behind the counter if they still have that one sometimes, she said she's never seen it since she's been working there. I don't know how long that was, but the answer was disappointing since that was (and I am guessing still is) my favorite. Overall I feel like this store has a very dated appearance, and I think consumers do want and like rotating fancy desserts that cost too much. I regularly buy $4-5 cookies at Crumbl. It feels instead like Psycho has backtracked to offer more "basic" donuts just so people have something less expensive to buy, but then they're not really offering something significantly different from your standard donut shop. I also got the cereal killer donut, which was very fun, but the cereal wasn't as crunchy as I'd hoped, and it made me wonder how fast their turn over is. Within 3 hours of buying the cereal killer there was basically no crunch left. I should have eaten that one first... Anyway, I'm just not sure I'm going to go out of my way to come to this shop again in the future. I feel like it needs a more modern appearance, and a focus on their ultra special donuts, not the basic ones. Me: What's this Jekyll and Hyde one? Employee: That's half chocolate donut.... and half with sprinkles... wtf? I had half-expected her to wow me with something like half chocolate donut, half vanilla donut. That would have been pretty crazy. This was just a donut where they'd put sprinkles on half of it. That's not crazy!!! I mean, it's crazy for how normal it is! Still 4 stars because it was good. I enjoyed my donuts. But it could have been so much better. Sad about that.

Yelp
We were in the neighborhood so we stopped in to grab some donuts. I'd heard of the place but never visited. I was excited to try out there weird and crazy flavor combinations. Unfortunately they were out of some of the most popular but we did end up sampling six flavors. Dazed and Confused is a traditional raised glazed donuts, light and airy. Next was the Boston Scream which was a chocolate frosted with vanilla cream inside. Yummy with a powered sugar skull on top. One of my favorites was the Espresso Yourself, with espresso infused glazed topping. Delicious. We also had the Cereal Killer, which was a little too sweet for me , but if you have a heavy sweet tooth, this one is glazed with loads of fruity cereal. Same goes for the S'mores donut, sweet marshmallow topping with graham cereal and chocolate drizzle. The last one we tried was another one of my favorites, Strawberry glazed Old Fashion. The crispy outside of the donut, tender inside with a strawberry glaze. They weren't the best overall donuts I've had but they were sure fun and creative. Nice to share with a group or gathering. The gal behind the counter was super friendly and helpful in making suggestions.

Yelp
Hello everyone I'm the creator of Psycho Donuts. I gave it 3 stars because that seems to be the average rating here so ... there you go. I went by the Valley Fair mall to see the stand and saw that it was closed. The idea of the mall stand was thought of long after I sold it. The issue with having a "cold counter" ((donut speak for a retail location far from the fryer)) is that of quality. They get stale quickly so generally a bad idea. Tack on the fact that a business would have to raise prices to justify the high rent of a mall (and the cost to truck in the donuts) and you have all the recipes of destroying a brand. I never met the new owners so I have no idea of their business ability. I sold it to someone, who turned around and sold it to someone ... who died ... then his widow sold it. Maybe it got sold again, I have no clue. My only advice to them is (unless it's too late and the brand is completely trashed) is to focus on high quality and good service. Probably lower the prices too. My rule of thumb when I created it was to charge double of the mom and pop donut store prices. Donuts are incredibly profitable (only second to french fries) and cost about $0.15 to $0.50 in food costs depending on the donut. I also followed the pricing of Voodoo Doughnuts in Portland. I was working in Portland as an Engineer in 2008 and V.D. was about 2 years old (maybe less) and was talking Portland by storm. I thought, "hey, I could do this" ... and pumped up my basketballs and did it. The first donut cook was Jose, and he REALLY cared about quality (and we got along great). In case anyone is interested in P.D. history, there is an Xray of my cat (smudge) on the lightboard at the shop. The original location (Campbell Donuts) had a lightboard to highlight sandwiches. I thought it looked like an xray viewing box at the hospital, so there you go. The original logo https://s3-media0.fl.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/S1FpZfw8LgWHsQZTiEmrEg/o.jpg was inspired by the back album cover of Oingo Boingo's Nothing to Fear with the spikes coming out of Danny Elfman's head. I was a big O.B. fan as a kid. The new owner changed the logo (who knows why) and made the spikes sweat. The curio box with art in the center of the store hides the ugliest structural pole ever seen. I ONLY hired attractive college girls that were super friendly. In the early days they (in their nurses outfits that I got from a uniform place on Bascom) would do pics in the padded cells with customers with our branded straight jacket on and would get crazy tips. Like $30 an hour worth of tips back then. I remember one day a couple of Hooters girls came by and said "we're killing it at night at Hooters, and the word on the street is that these nurses are doing well in the day. We want to kill it day and night" I can go on and on and on ... I always had the idea of "Psycho Sandwiches" ... but never pulled the trigger. That would go for a more logical business switch from dessert to actual meals with protein. If anyone ever runs with that idea, just remember to focus on quality and service (and fun of course). cheers and happy 2025!!

Yelp
Pretty good donut place in the area. I recommend getting one of the boxes to try a variety of flavors and types. For just the two of us we got a box of 3 and it was perfect since some of them are huge. We loved the s'mores one. The mix of graham crackers with the marshmallow based frosting we delicious! We tried the butterfinger and that was was a little strong for my liking. Powerful peanuty flavor, a little overkill. Our favorite though was probably the Jekyll & Hyde chocolate donut. Really soft, most moist, and the perfect amount of topped frosting. They've got a good variety so try a few different things! I'll have to say the store was a little bit messy and dingy and I remember seeing some equipment or something stacked up in the front room. Could do wonders to clean that up a bit.

Yelp
Wildest in calif norcal! Just not Portland. Cereal Killer seems to be just as good as the choco coffin and vamp with bloody jelly fanged. Had a booth with psdded walls at orig location where HI Mochi donuts moved in. But most Donuts are available inside the mall 2nd floor Valley Faire Santa Clar/bordefing SJ and Santana Row. My pref choice. Scary and funny, like a trip to Universal Walk up here in NorCal backyard. Cant give all the unique donuts tgemeselves themed donuts. Ciol. Tasty. Coloful. Crafty and some mixy including pb&j

Yelp
I don't know what happened, but the great memories I had of this place were squashed today. We drove from Redwood City so I could introduce two kiddos to the goodness I enjoyed here for several years. When we arrived, they were closed. Only open 10AM-3PM now. They sent us to Westfield mall 15 minutes away. Since we had come all this way for the wacky donut experience, the kids wanted to go! When we arrived at Westfield, the little out of the way kiosk booth had 5 choices. 5, sad little uninteresting choices. We bought one each and when the kids began to eat theirs they didn't like them and only ate about 1/3 each. What kid doesn't eat their donuts? (These kids have eaten other donuts with me and typically love them). What a total bummer today was. I mourned my beloved maple bacon, and the awesome peanut butter and banana, and the delicious Captain Crunch and on and on and on. RIP Psycho Donuts! This business is a shell of what it used to be. I wonder if they're going out of business?

Emmeline T.

Yelp
I pass by Psycho Donuts very often and always think of trying their donuts whenever I pass by. Alas, I finally decided to stop by their store when I passed by recently. I went around closing so there weren't that many options. I thought that the decorations on the donuts were really cute and the names for each of the donuts were also very creative. I got the suicide squeeze which I believe has crushed oreos on top and a chocolate filling inside. For a $5 donut, I definitely expected way more. The donut itself was very dry and tasted like nothing honestly. I feel like to oreo top/crumble had to compensate for the disappointing donut. The chocolate filling also didn't really taste like anything. I could only get a faint taste of chocolate and it was only when I was really trying to taste the filling. This was a very disappointing donut, and I will definitely never be getting another donut from here. At least I've got to try it now and won't be thinking of getting a donut whenever I pass by their store now.

Yelp
Got there at 8:35 am and what they offered was so limited. They said they're only serving 2 of their specialty donuts. Then why advertise having them all online... I understand if they sold out but that wasn't it. It's simply because they're not making them that day. Save your time and gas. I was not going to pay $35 for a dozen of basic looking / sprinkle donuts they had there.

Khiet E.

Yelp
Super over priced donuts. I understand it's different but the price doesn't justify the lack of taste. The donuts were dry and hard. I would suggest making donuts that are soft that melts in your mouth. I do have credit for the design of the donuts.

Dominique W.

Yelp
My family and I went into this establishment earlier today. I was absolutely disgusted! This place is blatantly racist! They had a lighter donut next to a darker donut with the lighter one being named "the cute one" and the darker one "that one." They also had a darker donut (guessing chocolate) with powder called "Michael Jackson." I understand that they want to have fun with creative donuts but making references to to color is showing where their heads really are! I do not recommend fraternizing these types of establishments!

Yelp
This isn't a review based on recent experience because unfortunately I haven't been able to visit in awhile, but it occurs to me that I've never reviewed them and there are some things I need to say as a matter of principle. People claiming to advocate for mental health have been hounding this place since they opened, claiming that it's offensive and adds to the stigma against mental health issues. Many of these people have never been diagnosed with anything themselves but somehow think they're doing the right thing by speaking for those who have. As someone with multiple diagnoses, allow me to offer a counterpoint. I'm high-masking autistic. As a result of this I suffer from major depressive disorder and social anxiety. I take 150 mg of sertraline every day so I don't try to kill myself. I fucking LOVE Psycho Donuts, and I will never not be mad when I think about the fact that I will never be able to symbolically eat (and later poop) my illness. Do you people have ANY IDEA how satisfying that would be? The humor they use walks a very thin line and I admit that some of my friends with different diagnoses are uncomfortable about some of it, but the fact that people forced this place to change things on my behalf that I WOULD NOT HAVE CHANGED is incredibly frustrating. First rule of advocacy, folks: LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE FOR WHOM YOU ADVOCATE.

Dylan S.

Yelp
Came here today with family. We bought half a dozen. The Boston Scream had little cream and the donut was dry. The Smore donut was dry as well. Folks, for $4.50-5.50/donut, plus tax and tip for filling the box, these have got to be earth-shattering, phenomenal donuts. Underwhelming.

Peggy C.

Yelp
Love that they are finally open four days not just two. My friend had never been there or tried their donuts. She loved them too. The interior is not back up to where it was previously but the donut selection is still really funny and delish! We will visit again a little later when we can take a picture of one of us in the "padded cell"

Duke S.

Yelp
Aaaaaalllways a pleasure stopping in when I'm in town. Showed up after peak hours, so selection was low, but I got exactly what I wanted! So I'm happy. Always great service and always clean and delicious. Can't wait to come back.

Jess N.

Yelp
The donuts were incredible! We passed by this store that stood out to us because of its cool name & decor. The outside looks so rad & spooky. I got the Boston scream donut & strawberry fields. My partner got the unicorn farts & cute one. I love the aesthetic of the shop. The lovely donut scent wafted into our nostrils as soon as we entered. The person that helped us was very friendly. This is definitely a hidden gem that deserves more foot traffic & overall praise. Such tasty & unique treats.

Ashley J.

Yelp
Ok, these donuts are delicious but $30 for a dozen does strike me as a bit pricey. You get 6 of the "OG," 4 of the special, and 3 of the super special ones. That being said, every donut was delicious! This was a nice outing and they gave all the donuts creative names. They are efficient and do a good job of socially distancing/people waiting outside if it's getting crowded.

Scott B.

Yelp
The last two times I've donated blood at the American Red Cross, there's been a big box of Psycho Donuts sitting there as a post-donation reward. They're always a great treat. Thanks for your donation Psycho Donuts!

Matt G.

Yelp
I can tell you one thing. Psycho Donut shop is very popular in Santa Clara. Unfortunately, the doughnuts does not compared to Voodoo's, Blue Star's, SK's or even Bob's. "It is not like my fat ass know my taste in doughnuts anyway". I was here at midday after meeting a homie in the downtown area. At that time, the selection is limited. It is no surprise being located in family-friendly Downtown Campbell. I had a Boston "Scream" doughnut. For $3.50, this is just a simple yellow custard filled doughnut with a powdered sugar happy face on top. Sadly, this doughnut gave me a sad face, because the doughnut was "Meh". However, the $2.00 cup of coffee is from Santa Cruz-owned Verve Roasters. The coffee tasted bold and smooth. Strangely the coffee was better than the doughnut. Also it was good enough for the long drive back home in San Francisco. I was not really impressed with Psycho Doughnuts.

Shareen G.

Yelp
Super cool place with interesting donut combinations and unusual names! Came here on a Saturday afternoon because I was craving something sweet and wanted to try this place out. I got to try the cereal killer donut, I actually got the last one! This donut was super sweet. It's definitely very sugary with all of the toppings. The cereal on top tasted stale which was disappointing. However, the donut itself was very soft and fluffy. Service was just okay. The girl working there did not seem like she enjoyed her job and was less than enthusiastic. I felt kind of rushed since it was my first time there and she was just waiting for me to order. Parking lot was pretty small but I think since I went in the afternoon it was way less crowded and less busy so I found a spot easily. Their prices are a little high for me, especially for a donut. I understand this is a unique place with a cool concept but still pretty steep for me. I only tried one donut so I can only comment on my experience coming here one time and just the one donut. I think the concept behind this place makes it really fun. However, in my opinion, there was nothing special during my time here that was worth returning for.

Jane D.

Yelp
I got a very voodoo donuts vibe from this place when I walked in. Unfortunately the donuts here can't really compare to voodoo's. The selection is also much smaller and not all of the donuts are labeled (how am I supposed to know what I'm getting?). I got the cereal killer and smore's donut (idk what the official name was because it *wasn't labeled*). Prices are a little high - 2 donuts clocked out to around $6.50 for me. The first thing I noticed when I bit into the Cereal Killer was that the cereal was stale and the icing was almost elastic-y....not the most appetizing first impression. The donut base itself was soft and not bad but the toppings just did not do it for me. Tl;dr: go to Stan's instead. Much more worth your money

Kris P.

Yelp
If you like the super creative type donuts, then this is your place. If you been to Voodoo in Portland, then it's pretty much the same. All sorts of conconctions here, don't expect to find a plain glazed at Pyscho. On this day, we grabbed a cinnamon, cereal, and a strawberry. I totally forgot the official names since this place has some unique ways to name their donuts. But all that we ordered were actually pretty nice. Soft on the inside and nicely sweet and crispy on the outside. Not sure this wins any prizes for best quality, but still great nonetheless. You're buying creativity here. I mean, its donuts. Who doesn't love a good donut?

Lani T.

Yelp
I give Psycho Donuts credit for coming up with a great theme and offering some really crazy donut flavors. The idea itself isn't unique; other places have made quite a name for themselves (like Voodoo Donuts in Portland, Oregon). They also have a ton of different donut flavors, and your senses get a huge blast when you walk up and into the store. That said, a few things: The theming is great (part cheesy 1950s horror movie, part donut circus), but this store is small. Tiny. You can barely fit four people in there, and the counter is really only wide enough for two people to look at the offerings. And because there's limited space in the store, they have the donuts displayed over four tiers in the display case. Since most of the donuts are unusual, it requires some time to read the descriptions for each one, so it takes time. [If you're a regular there and you already know what you want, you can choose to order online in advance.] THE GOOD: If you're tired of the same old glazed donut, you're definitely in for a treat here. Even donuts that look ordinary, like a sprinkle donut, actually includes an unusual twist -- for example, their sprinkle donut is called "Nutella the Hun," and uses Nutella as a flavor. Even "normal" donuts like a Boston cream donut gets a special Psycho treatment: Called "Boston Scream," it has a powder sugar silhouette of of a skull on top. Talk about whimsical! If you like taking Instagram photos of kooky donuts, this is also your place. Everything is designed with color and shape in mind, and these donuts really look neat. They do also have some pretty good "regular" donuts. They had two kinds of fritters when we were there -- apple, and a banana one. They were absolutely delightful, with just a bit of crunch on the outside, and fluffy/doughy goodness on the inside, with plenty of good fruity flavor. THE BAD: A touch gimmicky. And because there are so many different flavors and each has unusual things in it, it actually takes time to read each one. Be careful making some assumptions. We ordered the "Cereal Killer" that uses Captain Crunch cereal as a topping... but we didn't bother to read that the icing is actually marshmallow cream. Had we noticed, we would've skipped it as that's not a flavor we're into personally. Unfortunately, their website menu doesn't actually tell you the descriptions (just the photos and names), so reading up in advance won't really help you here, either. And because a lot of these are special creations, they're going to be on the pricier side. The cheapest ones will set you back $3, and the prices go up based on what tier they're in (they also have Supers and Psychos). THE UGLY: The place is cluttered beyond description. You can sense that vibe even before you go inside, because the windows are full of signs and illustrations. But you can't really see past them either because there's a huge stack of Psycho Donut boxes lined up against one window. And whenever you have this much clutter AND sugar... well, everything looks like there's a layer of stickiness to the surface. I'm sure the kitchen is spotless... but it still looked tight and cluttered. BOTTOM LINE: We really prefer patronizing local establishments, and this was definitely one of them. The donuts were pretty OK -- they're not going to bowl you over as the best you've ever eaten. But they're FUN and WHIMSICAL. Not something I'd eat everyday, but worth picking up for a special occasion. If you're in the area, do give these folks a try. They might not be the shiniest newest donut shop around, but it's a cute little gem of a place that offers something fun!

melissa n.

Yelp
I can't. Every time I've tried a donut here, any one of them, it's dry. While I appreciate the creative attempts to switch up the donut game -- new concepts, flavors, and names --I'm left with a conflicting experience. I can't get passed the fact the entire franchise, all product and marketing, literally mocks mental health illness... like in our face. Nope.

Dan S.

Yelp
What crazy sugar bombs these are! We stopped by near the airport and picked up a few. They are huge and could be shared. The flavors are outrageously delish. I got a blackest forest. Loved the buttercream but it was too rich to finish. Prices are high but fair for the product. Worth the try for sure but it'd be tough to eat these more than a once in a while!!

Clarisse T.

Yelp
meh i am disappointed. first time trying it but prolly won't ever go back again. id rather just get a good old regular donut anywhere else i got the sticky monkey and the suicide squeeze (pictured) but they definitely looked better than they tasted :( i honestly think i can get a better fritter at my local grocery stores and the crème inside suicide squeeze jus tasted so fatty and low quality.

Ron B.

Yelp
Half the lobby is blocked off with restaurant supplies, no seating and the donuts were somewhat hard / dense (compared to what you'd get at Dunkin or Yum Yum). Would be better if they clean up the lobby but not worth a return trip.

Jason K.

Yelp
Fun donut shop in a simple location with good coffee and solid prices..what more can you ask for? I came here based on the suggestion of a friend of mine who spent a bunch of time in the area. It did not disappoint. If you want a general overview of Psycho, it is a donut shop with a theme. Everything has a fun sort of murder or horror theme to it., and the donuts are all super funky. They may have powdered sugar skulls, covered in candy or cereal (aptly named cereal killer), or some other sort of off the wall style. I went for the boston scream and the unicorn fart, with a coffee to boot. Both were great. If you are a traditional boston creme fan or a donut purist, this will be the way for you to go. It is a fairly traditional donut. The unicorn fart, however, is only for those with the strongest of sweet teeth. It is a simple donut with a layer of frosting and then covered in rainbow-hued candy. Pretty awesome if I do say so myself. As far as the coffee? Very good as well. Nothing fancy, I take it black. It wasn't too strong or weak, and the flavor was enjoyable. I think 2 donuts and a large coffee was around $11, but at a boutique place in the Bay area, these are the prices you should expect. a coffee and muffin at Starbucks is $10, so the prices are not absurd. Parking is easy and free. The staff is friendly and helpful. From a covid perspective, everything is in place and all payments are cashless. If your jam consists of sugar and sweet and funky, check out Psycho. It is a cool little spot.

Abigail S.

Yelp
What a cute shop! Super friendly staff, Verve coffee, and the cutest donuts ever! They were freshly baked and delicious too. I had the sampler (3 for $10) and was quite pleased. Loved supporting local businesses and will doing a Halloween order as well.

Phoebe C.

Yelp
Decided to stop by since we were in the area. There's a small parking lot outside with spots usually readily available. The exterior and interior decor of the place is definitely fun and cute. You're instantly greeted by things that automatically remind you of Halloween. There's even a little booth for costumes and photos by the door. When we walked in, the place was empty. The one girl working greeted us and was nice. Let's talk about the donuts: they're all well decorated and fun to look at. We decided to get the Doh-nut (pink icing + sprinkles), Cookie Monster and one other with Oreos & blue icing (similar to Cookie Monster) as well. The taste of the donuts weren't particularly special (just super sweet and no balance) and didn't taste as fresh as I'd like them to be.. Was my donut craving satisfied? Not exactly. Overall, not sure if I'd come back unless I was in the area.

Melody K.

Yelp
I have bookmark this business for a few years and have wanted to try it. I was finally in the area and thought I would give them a try. When I walked in, I noticed that there were several choices of donuts. I was also greeted very friendly from the two people behind the counter. I had explained that this was my first time and they were so sweet. They actually gave me two complementary donut holes. Who does that? Not too many businesses. One donut had Matcha cream. The Matcha flavor was so faint that I really didn't think that there was any Matcha at all. But the donut was tasty, the other donut I apologize I don't remember it. It was just OK. I'm not sure if I would come back considering I live about 60 miles away and the donuts were just OK. My favorite part of the whole experience was the people behind the counter, though incredibly nice which is something you don't see in the corporate restaurant business. Give them a try you might like them.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of horror movies and cheesy 80's classics. If you like one of those two genre's you'd appreciate this place, and even if you don't get the references, it's still a delicious donut shop of novelty. My top recommendations are the Kooky Monster and the Cereal Killer. If you like Oreo cookies, Kooky monster is simply delicious. I like the texture of the oreo cookies with the donut. It's a simple, tasty treat. As far as Cereal Killer, I'm a huge fan of Captain Crunch; every bite reminds me of my childhood, so just for that, I appreciate this treat. When it comes to wanting to visit a place of novelty that'll have you laugh and smile while picking out simple, tasty treats, this place is it. If you're in the south bay, this is one of those places that should be on your top list to try something fun and kitsch before exploring downtown, Campbell! Actually, for those of you who have ever seen Half Baked, if you're on a budget, while on the date, I'd go to this place first to pick up to get some donuts, then head on to downtown Campbell! Let me know if this is helpful. Bon Appetit!

Yelp
I honestly would not even consider theirs to be a true donut shop. But I do understand because it's such a small town, clearly they do not have enough customers coming through to fully stock donuts on a Sunday. Giving two stars only because they were absolutely no donuts that look good to me in the case. They did not look fresh.

Yelp
Cool place with unusual donuts with funny names like the Elvis. The artwork is cool too. Some of the donuts are expensive at over $4.00 each. I got the sticky monkey which is a banana salted caramel fritter. It tasted almost one wn apple fritter. It was good. It's huge. I had a small part of it & left the rest to my husband. I also tried the strawberry fields one which has dried strawberries & chocolate chips on it. It was a little to sweet. They have smoothies & flavored coffee drinks here too.

Yelp
This place was pretty cool. Lots of fun different options. Chose the unicorn farts doughnut. It was moist and tasty. Loved all the visual decor. Parking is a little hard to come by but the doughnuts are worth it. Reasonable prices. They have vegan doughnuts too I believe . The girl who helped out was really sweet. Very kind service. I would love to try all The other doughnuts if I'm ever in that area.

Yelp
For some slightly different donuts here is a place that reminds me of voodoo donuts in Seattle, just allot more accessible if you are in the bay area. Several choices, i'm pretty sure they are all diabetic friendly! I was able to sample few of their donuts the D 'ohnut (pink glazed donut) airy, obviously sweet, reminds you of the donuts that Homer would eat on the Simpsons show. Also sampled the key lime pie donut, did not taste anything like keylime pie, dense, like a plain donut with green fondant on the top. The boston scream pie I also sampled simply because it had custard filling, fairly large donut, filling was heavy, so much custard tasted like vanilla from the pudding snack you can get at the market, the mesh of chocolate and powdered sugar was good, as a preference I would of just preferred the powdered sugar and custard and opted for the chocolate The mellow submarine was old fashioned donut with melted marshmallows and rice crispy treats meshed on top. The old fashioned good, the rice crispy treats on top was overkill due to the amount of melt mashmallow they used to keep the rice crispy stuck to the top The Cereal Killer was a mesh square glazed donut with captian crunch cereal on top, again the melted marshmallows kept the cereal on top making it very sweet, 3rd bite it, airy, super sweet, too much sugar!!! All there donuts are interesting, most of the ones that have the extra toppings I feel are overkill but hey if you loke donuts your not gonna say no I do say this is very similar to Voodoo donuts in Seattle but they do not have he signature maple bacon donut, so if you want something different this would be he place to go Donuts *** Price $ Service *** Ambiance *** small, limited seating

Yelp
Went to this location twice maybe about a year apart. Both times the coffee machine was broken and they haven't seemed to fix it. Just a little sold out sticker on the menu. If they're not going to upkeep the machinery, just close the damn store down.

Yelp
I was in desperate need for a vegan donut and didn't want to go to Philz or downtown so I checked out this place! The blueberry cheesecake donut is so so so YUM! It's definitely on the sweeter side but it was so addictive and fulfilled all my cravings! I have yet to find a light and fluffy glazed vegan donut rather than a cake texture but psycho donuts does cake donuts right!

Yelp
Passed by this location. On my way to see my grandson to take them them a fun yummy doughnut but the placed really disappointed. had a very low selection so picked of what was available. once I made my selection, the young lady was bagging them with no gloves on with long nails. I did find that very in appropriate once I received my bag of donuts, I discovered they were just placed in there with no real care I could've went to any other donut shop to receive my tossed in the bag I'm giving them two stars because the donuts overall are OK and taste and creative looking

Yelp
Donuts are gorgeous. Sometimes the cereal is stale. The people who work here though are so sweet. They were really nice to my son and were really patient.

Yelp
They have a very interesting selection of donuts, but their prices are just too high for what you get. yeah, they are unique and fairly filling, but at the end of the day it's still just sugar and some fried dough. They are worth trying on occasion, but just be sure that you visit as early as possible, as they do sell out of their most poplar items very quick.

Yelp
Hmm...the donuts were okay (in terms of the base). They're also kinda pricy. $3ish for one (on average). What I DID like were the unique toppings that were true to their flavors (e.g., Cookie Monster, S'mores) and the theatrical-nature of the store's theme and set-up. If you have a kid who's old enough for spooky things and has a sweet tooth, this is the place for you. I think it might even make up for not being able to make it to a haunted house for Halloween (maybe just once). It's really cute here because of all the deco (including the store's opening sign that is conveniently labeled "Hours of Insanity") and props that go with the whole "Insane Asylum" theme. Even the cashier/worker has to wear a nurse's outfit to go with the whole insane asylum setting. The service was also good from what seemed to be the lone worker there. She gave useful suggestions as to what the popular flavors were there and asked questions to see if I needed anything else. Note: I came in during the late afternoon, so there was no line. In my opinion, this is more of a dessert than breakfast place. The donuts are WAY too sweet to be consumed for breakfast (at least for a healthy breakfast that is). With that said, it's worth stopping by at least once just for the experience and "psycho" donuts.

Yelp
The only donuts I would eat is from Psycho Donuts. No lie. They have the most interesting donuts and honestly they aren't too sweet even though they look like it. Especially comparing them to Krispy Kreme, KK donuts taste the same to me for all their donuts. PD has so much variety and honestly, they are filling so I share them among 2 other ppl for a dozen a box! This location has a tiny photo area where you can use props and a booth to take some selfies. I haven't been to the other locations to see if they also have them. Go treat yourself...and in my case, I treat myself once a YEAR.

Yelp
Sunday morning 9am, the donuts are cold and not soft inside. About $7.50 for just one glazed and one Apple Fritter. Expensive.

Jes W.

Yelp
Yummy donuts with a lot packed on them. Worth a trip at least once for a photo but I wouldn't make a habit of coming here. The donuts can get a little pricey. They also dress up and have a neat inside theme going on. The parking lot is very small but there's other parking near by. Would recommend.

Yelp
THE place for your fancy donut needs and for presents when you don't know what else to get people. Because...fancy donuts. 8D Also: puns and some very appealing morbid humor. Psycho Donuts has two locations, and I'm only really familiar with this Campbell one. Not so much their El Camino Real store, though I'd certainly like to go visit at some point. While I work very close to that part of El Camino Real, their Campbell location is a very short walking distance from Campbell Downtown and I'm just THERE more. Sometimes when my friends and I go to the farmer's market or Stacks' for weekend brunch and (while waiting for them to get through the waitlist if we're at Stacks') we walk over to Psycho to pick up some donuts. It's just that convenient. They share a small, limited parking lot in front as well as spaces around and behind the building with the other building establishments (as well as the comics store in the neighboring building). They do pretty good in try to keep the parking specifically for their customers, but if they're out of space, you can park along Sanford Ave (the street directly behind the building and adjacent to Winchester). If you're willing to walk a bit, you can also park a bit further down Winchester Blvd. They are super colorful, kind of going for a playful feel, and shamelessly niche-y. I like to look around at what else they have because they're into selling unusual but cute knick-knacks and some cool local art. Overall, it's pretty small place with counters and stools along the windows that is suitable for parties of 1 to 3. Just be aware that this seating is limited, although most people seem to tend to get their drinks and donuts to go. There's nowhere outside to sit down and eat, but (again) Campbell downtown is down the street and they DO have outdoor benches. But of course, the whole reason you would come here is to buy DONUTS. They have a whole variety of fancy, unusual, and/or specialty doughnuts. Each one is designed to have some kind of fun and unique element to it, ranging from the kind of batter (ex. gingerbread, cake, terrapin, etc.) to toppings (ex. pocky, coconut, raspberry dust, etc.) to decorations. Even their plain donut ("This One") is just made to look vaguely like a flower while beloved, traditional flavor combinations like chocolate donuts with raspberry or vanilla filling will have a powdered sugar portrait of Jason or a skull. Additionally, they have vegan donuts, though a coworker said she found the vegan donuts to be a lot simpler than a lot of their other ones. And what donut shop would be complete without selling coffee (and various kinds of specialty sodas)! XD My favorite things about them is their themed donuts and how there is always something you haven't tried yet or something new. Of course, they usually keep around a variety of the usuals, of which my favorite is the Feng Shui (matcha and chocolate one). But donuts like "Grandma's Revenge" (made to look like a dead reindeer with pocky for antlers) or any of their Halloween ones are just wonderful. And, again, so SO convenient. Seriously, whenever I don't know what to get a group of people (coworkers, a friend's family, cousin's family, etc., a vegan friend and her family, etc.), I come here. And when they open the box, there's always this look of wonder at all the colors and individually unique donuts pops out at them. However, if you're doing this, I would advise bringing a notecard to take down the names and descriptions to stick into the box. Usually, the people who are given the donuts want a way to reference it themselves or for later on. Overall, I love their humor, their unusual and fun donuts, and their drive to do new things. One of my favorite times visiting them was actually during Fanime where they had set up a stand. In addition to their regular donuts, they also sold SPECIAL of "(mini) donut sushi" with pocky as chopsticks. It was so cute, and I love that they do things like participate in local events on top of being very generally supportive of the community (see, the paintings they display that are up for sell). You're doing great, guys! Thank you so much for everything! X3

Yelp
Well it was a big debate in the house. Was this our top favorite jelly filled. The youngest said it was ok the oldest said it was number one in his book and I agreed. Fun names and great selection. Looked like easy parking, we walked over from the farmers market. Friendly staff.

Yelp
National Donut day? 6/7/19 at 7:51 pm and the doors are closed, the place is dark. Sad face. I'm leaving 5 stars because I love this place. Not their fault I came late on national donut day. I'm just a sad fat girl that wanted her donut.

Yelp
We got a pack of limited order Easter donuts this year. They were TERRIBLE. I seriously have never had worse donuts. We have 3 kids at home, so it is noteworthy when a box of donuts sits uneaten on the kitchen counter on a Sunday morning. I would have given them a pass on the taste if they had done a bit more work on the presentation to create an Easter theme. Sadly, they failed on that front also. The store staff was nice as always, but I was terribly disappointed by how much the quality of the product has declined. I think this experience marks the end of my engagement with a donut shop I once used to love.
