"Leslie Bock, owner of Northeast Minneapolis tiki bar Psycho Suzi’s Motor Lounge, announced on Facebook on Wednesday, August 2, that the bar will close on August 19 after 20 years in business. “For the past two decades we’ve welcomed you through our tiki laden jungle to enjoy tropical drinks, pizza pies, waterfront seating, and the company of new and old friends,” Bock wrote. “But all good things must come to an end and this Psycho Suzi is ready to hang it up and put on her retirement hat.”" - Justine Jones

Google
Great theming with the decor! Not a large menu for food, but what they did have was really good. Server doesn't come to your table to take your order. You order through an app. When the server came with our order though they were very nice and kept up with soda refills. I probably would have given five stars, but it was a little pricey. It was something different for us.

Really cool atmosphere for a fun night out with friends. Were here in colder season but have heard great things about their outside seating facing the river, excited to go back in the warmer season and check out the patio. Their pizzas are absolutely delicious! I’m not huge fan of rum cocktails in general, but if you are, their cocktails are really exciting! Smoking brownie dessert was also really fun and delicious!

Going with a 3 star! Food is ridiculously priced and I'm sure average diner has better quality. It makes sense to follow tech, cut labor and let people order through phone, but paying upfront, giving tips, doesn't makes sense at all. Felt like an easy way to charge unnecessarily. Only good thing about the place is, Ambience. Good environment and surroundings near Mississippi river. We are disappointed. Especially with $125 over priced drink with a stupid souvenir. Not going again and definitely not recommending to anyone else. We will be breaking up with one of our friends who told us about this place..haha kidding.

Before this place is listed as permanently closed, I want to leave a review letting people know that the memories I have had here were just great. During the summer on a hot day, this was just the perfect location to grab a drink and sit by the river, while enjoying some performances that perfectly complemented the atmosphere. I have had a few different types of drinks and each one has its unique style. Regardless of what drink one chooses, they have the ability to make it tiki themed as well, which would, once again, totally complement the atmosphere. There were also seats that allowed people to sit in them in kind of a hammock mode (not sure how to call it when it's not laying down). And decorations were also in alignment with its tiki theme. The pizzas were pretty good as well! They were relatively smaller in portion but tasted good. I wouldn't consider food as a review priority for this place because it is mostly famous for its drinks and atmosphere, and both are nothing short of great! I will miss all the memories from this place as it has allowed me to socialize with others in relaxing manners on summer days.

We went here as a small group around Christmas time. We made a reservation because we had heard about how cool the Christmas decor was. They sat us at a table that unless your insanely skinny you wouldn't fit. Thankfully it wasn't too busy and we were able to get a different table. You don't get a waiter or waitress, you have to order food through your phone. They also won't even bring water to your table, they point to a water station and tell you you have to get it yourself. The food was mediocre. The drinks were good and festive but a little bit on the expensive side. We probably won't go back because of those issues and the reservations fee.

Google
We had a blast at the holiday Mary's Christmas Palace take over. It looks like the North Pole exploded over every inch of this place, and the menu is full of festive options. The service is a bit of a new concept, but effective and everyone was very friendly and professional. The GM Cassie runs a very smooth operation, and I would go many more times this season if I could!!

Only a handful of restaurants or bars are privileged to have riverfront property. Psycho Suzie’s is one of those places. In the warm months, the patio is irresistible, and the atmosphere is like a vacation. Be warned - the drinks are some of the strongest in the city!

We came here for our anniversary and it was fun. Our waiter was super sweet and hospitable. They had so many great appetizers to choose from, we ended up ordering four different ones along with drinks. They know their rum and cocktails. Loved the ambience and theme.

Yelp
Just had to stop by this NE Mpls staple before it closes (Aug. 19, 2023)-- and apparently we were not the only ones who decided to do this! Psycho Suzi's was super busy already, and it was 4:50pm on a Thursday. We put our name down for a table and headed over to the bar while we waited. The drinks here are fun- and clearly have a history- but part of the fun that we didn't get to enjoy, unfortunately, was the unique glassware. They were so busy that all drinks I saw came out in plastic cafeteria glasses, and a few looked like they were being poured from big containers of premade cocktails. I got the One Eyed Willy and later the Paralyzed politician. Both were good, but I preferred the paralyzed politician overall because it had a stronger rum flavor. The one eyed Willy was good, but I think was overpowered by orange juice. Once we got seated, we ordered two pies to split and a few apps: tots and curds. If you haven't tried the tots here-- you HAVE to. Do yourself the favor; they are so good. Cheese curds are always good too, but I like the seasoned sour cream from the tots better than the red sauce the curds come with. For pizzas- we got the Pesto jerk and the Thailand island. The pesto jerk was ok, but a little bland compared to the Thailand island which is just BURSTING with flavor (peanut butter, peppers, you name it). I would 100% get the Thailand island again, but would have to pass on the pesto jerk and try something else. All food and drinks at tables are ordered through a QR code. The drinks were pretty quick (maybe because pre made?) but the food took a while (almost an hour). With the 90min time limit at the table, make sure you put in that order right away!

Yelp
The main reason to go here is for the cool tiki bar vibes! Who doesn't love a Polynesian tiki theme? The food here is okay, not bad, but not the best ever. Pizzas are better than average though. The mock-tails we had were good, everyone who got the fun cocktails loved them! The servers were nice, but you place all your orders online. There is some limitations, but is nice to order when you want. The patio just opened up when we went, but we didn't sit outside cause it was too cold. It looks really fun though. We plan to come back for this!

Yelp
I was very impressed with this place. They have a decent sized private parking lot and a huge building. There is a lot of areas in the bar that are closed off and/or not being used. To enter the bar, you have to go down stairs and go through an annoying turn style. The bar is well decorated with straw tiki decor and adorned with dim red lighting. They have tables, booths, lounge chairs and bar seating to sit at. They have little private areas for groups and an awesome patio that is just off the water. On certain nights, during the warm weather season, they have live music out there. Inside, they had a house mix going with tropical songs and older soul/pop jams. You will see a Photo Booth in the dining area that you can purchase tokens at green bar for. We decided to sit at the bar. There menu has classic signature tiki favorites, in addition to exotic pizzas. The bar keeps were pretty cool. They were personable helpful, friendly and witty. They us make our drink choices and were very attentive. You can order your drink in a regular glass of pay a bit more and get it in a ceramic souvenir glass that you can take home. You can also buy the glasses from a vending machine in the dining area as well. I got a couple of drinks. The Coconut, the One-Eyed Willie, and the Danger. They were all good and savory, but if I had to choose one that would be my go-to, it would be the Danger. It was a smooth slushie drink that you had to take your time with to drink and had a very good taste. It was sweet, just like I like it. I was a bit hungry while I was there and defended o get a pizza, After a brief deliberation I got the Hot Honey Pie. It was personal pan sized, so not to big, but it was delicious. It had a very unique taste and was very flavorful. I highly recommend it. This is a very nice and chill spot that you will find just outside of the downtown area. I highly recommend checking this place out, if you are a foo-foo drink lover like me. I am glad I was able to swing by here ad am sure that you will too.

Yelp
Psycho suzi is an okay Tiki Bar, by default since it's one of the limited Tiki Bars in MN. It has a large nice patio along the river for warm nights. Inside the decor is 70s tiki with bamboo and palm top to bottom. The carpet is neat- printed wood planks. There's a sizable drink menu but is not served in Tiki Mugs unless you decide to purchase the mug. We had pizza, it was okay- nothing special. Drinks are below average. Ambiance is fun but not much else going on there.

Yelp
You've probably heard this iconic venue is closing on August 19. I have a pre-pandemic Xmas gift card to use and thought this would be a triple-dip for some permit practice driving with my grandson (one last visit, use the gift card, spend time with grandson). Well, let me tell you ... they have figured out how to serve the most guests per employee (via self-serve) and it was quite the lesson in patience. When we arrived at 4:15ish on a Thursday, I could already tell it would be busy due to the number of cars parked on the street (lots!). And I was right ... we were #28 on the waiting list. So we shared an outdoor stand-up table with the fall wasps after my 20 minute wait in the bar line. $22 for a beer and mocktail (but you should try one of their fancy tiki drinks). At 5:00ish we were seated on the lovely outdoor patio. It took about 20 minutes to download the app to order food online, set up my credit card, and make our menu choices after which I discovered the gift card could only be redeemed via the bar line. (Also, salads and burgers were not available-- not sure if it's because they're closing or the time of day we were there.) Canceled the online order. Headed to the bar line, which now looked like it was 30 minutes long. We were starving and I didn't want to wait in line again. We re-ordered our food online and I got an email confirmation at 5:25. We waited patiently and swatted wasps until 6:15, and then I inquired with someone on the status of our order. They couldn't find table #67 in the system, so I showed them my email receipt. Five minutes later we finally had our $70 order of four items: * chicken sidecars (3 tasty mini chicken sandwiches) * deep-fried cauliflower (delicious and I wished there were more) * six not-so-"jumbo" dry rub wings (good flavor, not sure if it was the rub or wing they were describing as dry ... maybe both) * Pontiac pizza (perfect size for 1 person, lots of crust) Moral of this review: don't go to this restaurant hungry, make sure you have a tech savvy person in the group, give yourself plenty of time -- and head over there before it closes!

Yelp
Such a fun atmosphere! It's quirky, weird, wild, and pretty. There is reserved indoor seating or first come first serve patio seating. They will be closing on August 19 so it was busy with everyone trying to get their last fill! The chicken sidecars were our favorite with a soft Hawaiian roll. So good! The pizzas are solo size but can work to share if you order other things. The duck wontons had a kick! There is a variety of tiki drinks, some sweeter than others. The food took a while, both with it being so packed, it can be expected. There is a parking lot but it does fill up. There is street parking as well. Definitely check it out before they close!

Yelp
Enter through the back. This place is at such a beautiful location off the water. There is a little path where you can kayak in from the water. It's awesome! Right away you are greeted with a smile.. the inside is decorated to the hilts! Old beautiful booths with tiki themed decorations. I loved the fun drink choices. We purchased the cool mugs. The food was wonderful. I loved the chicken sliders the best. Then the goat cheese pizza. More than anything, the atmosphere was just so much fun. Worth checking out.

Yelp
Such a fun place to enjoy some holiday cheer!! Four months out of the year they DECK this place out with Christmas decor. And I mean it, it's like Christmas threw up in here. It's amazing. Make sure to make a reservation because it gets very busy. They allow you 90 minutes at your table to ensure all guests get to enjoy It. I loved walked in as you walk through a Christmas tunnel. So fun. They have so many fun holiday drinks and foods. I had hot cocoa and it was so good. My friends got super fun alcoholic drinks with fun decorations on them. They have a sugar cookie decorating thing on the menu and it looked so cute and fun! Definitely a fun place for date night!!

Mikayla K.

Yelp
I came here for Mary's Christmas Palace! Overall, it's a fun place with a purposely chaotic, holiday vibe. It's extra on purpose and you definitely have to lean into that to enjoy it. The reservation system and overall service isn't great, though. Since everything is ordered through the app, you don't have a server, just someone dropping off the food that seems irritated to be bringing you food and in a hurry to leave. The $6 per person required to make a reservation seems high considering you can't put it towards your bill. Thankfully we did a walk-in on a Thursday night and we only had to wait about 20 minutes. We sat at the bar until we got a seat and the service there was great! We ordered the Jingle Ball and a few tequila shots. Our bartender was super friendly and very attentive! We got the Tots and Yuletide Wagon pizza. They were both shockingly good for "fast" food. The tots came with two nice sauces and the pizza was filling and tasty.

O. Francesco A.

Yelp
Nice location and decor! I only had Cobb Salad and it was OK. Their Tiki menu is overpriced considering the size of their drinks. The worst part is they use "airport style payment and order system". No contact to anyone you order from your seat with a QR code and pay as you go! You have to pay in full and tip each time order something. So unnecessary and pointless. Not sure whose "genius" idea that was! Positive note: you can smoke at their patio seating area.

Luke F.

Yelp
I'm reviewing this place as a restaurant in decline. I understand that this place is up for sale, and the large riverside property is probably capable of generating more revenue than as a Tiki bar. With that out of the way, go and grab a drink on the patio when you can. The outdoor Tiki ambiance along the Mississippi is nice ... quite special, actually. The rest is simply good - drinks are tasty (where else nearby is there a full tiki menu), pizza is not bad if you're hungry, ordering at the table with a QR code is slick, and staff are nice. The best tiki bars serve drinks in cool mugs with interesting presentation. Here you need to *buy the mug* for them to do that - and most folks aren't gonna buy a mug every time to have that experience of drinking an interestingly presented beverage from an awesome mug. But again, it's a place on the decline, up for sale. Enjoy the experience while it's here.

Yelp
Psycho Suzi's is a great spot for dinner and drinks in the spring and summer! Their patio is so cute and they have themed tiki drinks that make things extra fun! The food was normal bar food though, nothing too exciting, and was pretty pricy. They had QR codes on every table so you would order on your phone and then they would bring you your food and drinks, which make things fast and easy! Overall, very good spot for a special occasion or celebration!

Lyn H.

Yelp
Five stars IS NOT for the food BUT I can't hate on the place and the hustle it's trying to give with FOUR months of gimmicky Christmas celebrations. Please note, I might be a bit bias, I AM a cheesy type and I love the over the top experience I'd never do on my own home / place. It's clean enough, staff is kind and patience enough, menu is cute and Christmas themed, BUT the favor of the food wasn't anything special for me. For your situational awareness: two appetizers, a coke, and a 12% tip came to $40+ ... size and flavor wasn't anything I'd boast about. Also note: it's a tiny bit cramped when fuller. For those who struggle with claustrophobia - you've been warned. (Not get a MRI tight, but it can be a bit much with all the ppl and staff) Absolutely recommend for a bite to eat and please dress accordingly for the experience you'll be paying for! #uglysweaterseason !? Enjoy and happy ho-ho-ho holidays!

Sarah E.

Yelp
Psycho Suzi's is one of our favorite summer spots! Lots of outdoor seating and good for groups. Since it is right by the river there can be a lot of bugs, so I would highly recommend bringing some bug spray! Their drinks are STRONG and delicious. Last time I got The Beachcomber (which was my favorite) and Nordeasters' Curse. Both of the drinks I got were fruity and refreshing. We did come here with my friend who is meat and dairy free, so they did have a bit of difficulty finding something on the menu. The staff was kind and customized a salad, but I do think they should consider adding more dairy-free (and vegan) options to the menu. They have a new (to me) system for mobile ordering where you don't have to go inside anymore which is REALLY nice and good for groups since the checks can be split easily!

Jeremy S.

Yelp
What a fun place to visit! Their tiki drinks and pizzas and absolutely satisfying!! I love the way of ordering/paying the bill from your phone too! Throughout the night you can order as much as you want and then just close out the tab on your phone before you leave. Another cool thing they do is "open seating". You can walk through the restaurant and choose the table that's perfect for you!!

Stephanie A.

Yelp
We chose to go on a Sunday afternoon when there might be fewer crowds, but it's clear they are set up to handle the masses with no trouble. This is a large space, divided into smaller areas so even if you know there are a lot of people, you won't feel lost in the crowd. The patio area is large and loosely covered; we are there during a rain shower and with a bit of rearranging, everyone outside was able to stay at their table and be under cover. Inside there's a large bar and a number of seating areas; the upstairs opens as needed. Drinks are pre-batched and served with a smile, and they also make non-tiki drinks and have beer options. I think it would be hard to be crabby here, and everyone traveling to the Twin Cities should stop in to this incredibly unique space.

Corrie B.

Yelp
My current favorite location for a Christmas Cheers with friends! The walls ooze with Christmas festiveness. It's tacky but it's wonderful. It covers every square inch and no detail has been overlooked. They start as early as October and I love that it goes that long. We were seated in front of small TVs that had old-school Christmas shows on. You can't hear them but fun communicator starter. All the ordering was done via QR website. It was fun to be order whatever you wanted whenever you were ready. They are known for their Christmas drinks but I didn't have anyone to ask what they will look like or which ones from yelp photos are still around. They seem to change every year, so besides some ingredients its all a surprise. I wish the website had the photos of the cocktails. I thought it was nice that if we stayed because it was social we could easily order another app or drink so easily. Our drinks and food came quickly and paying our tab was super simple through the site.

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
There are two reasons for you to go to psycho Suzi's: 1) You really like expensive tiki drinks or 2) you really want to have a beverage overlooking the Mississippi. I had not visited since pre-COVID and I will admit, I was disappointed. The setting is beautiful- nothing like plants and nooks and fire tables overlooking the river. I just wish there was more there there. The cocktail menu is all fruity "tiki" drinks- great if that is what you like. Thank god they have a number of decent beers on tap, though they skew a little heavy on the IPAs. The food menu-bleh. Maybe my memory fails me but it sure seems to have shrunk. You can get there version of a pizza - which was fine, nothing to write home about- or a limited selection of appetizers, salads and a few other items. I don't know what a vegan would eat here- maybe the tater tots? The menu is not friendly to anyone who's got special dietary needs or preferences- but I am not sure they care. As far as service goes- you order from an App, or at the bar. As a vegetarian that is disappointing because I like to ask the wait staff about what to order when a menu looks this bleak. So- you want a tiki drink while looking at the river. Go here. Otherwise there are many better places to go in Mpls.

Kamni M.

Yelp
What a neat little spot! We've been meaning to check out Psycho Suzis for a while now and gotta say, it delivered! We got the beachcomber and the one eyed Willy, they were both great! Super tropical vibe and feels like you stepped into an actual dive bar on an island!

Adriana G.

Yelp
Visited Psycho Suzi's during the holiday season for the decor. My friend and I had fun, felt the holiday vibe and enjoyed our time at the bar. It was really packed, reservations are encouraged during the holiday season. I ordered the hot chocolate drink, I'm sorry to say but it was NOT good. I thought it would taste like the baileys with hot cocoa style, but it was nothing like that. I think it had vodka? Not a good combo. Cost was $15. I didn't let that ruin the night, I still had a great time and my friend's drink was really good! They have lots of parking available too. Overall, I recommend but don't get the spiked hot chocolate.

Gretchen R.

Yelp
I'm upping my review back to 5 stars after a visit during the Christmas Palace. Ok, so this is what my tacky tiki Christmas dreams are made of.

Katie S.

Yelp
We visited Psycho Suzi's last weekend to catch the end of their holiday decorations. The cocktails and decor were great, but the food was a little lacking. FOOD/DRINKS: For drinks, I ordered the "Punch in the Boob" which was quite tasty and large in volume! It was a little pricey, but seemed worth it since you get to keep the boob-shaped cup. All of the drinks had fun cheeky names, which was fun. For food, I ordered the "How the Goat Stole Christmas." I enjoyed the goat cheese and balsamic, but the pizza was more crust than toppings, and really small for $15. If I went back, I would skip the food and just go for drinks and atmosphere. ATMOSPHERE: The Christmas decor was crazy and over the top, so it was definitely worth it to go and experience. SERVICE: Drinks and food were brought out promptly, but we had some issues with the app loading to order. PARKING: The parking lot was quite crowded on a Saturday evening, but there is nearby street parking if needed.

Kelly U.

Yelp
Had no idea what to expect when heading here with friends. I was a little caught off guard by a completely filled parking lot, and the street options weren't much better. Apparently EVERYONE in Minneapolis wants to dine right next to the Mississippi River! Turns out it was our lucky night and a spot opened in front of us. It was seat yourself so the four of us split up in search of a table, I was lucky enough to catch a couple getting up and we scored a great table. There are paper menus and a very slick QR code ordering system. The menus have a wide variety of options, our group settled on tots, cheese curds, and a Hawaiian pizza for the group. Our drinks from the draught beer and canned wine categories quickly arrived at the table. The food wasn't far behind, along with our Polynesian thatch style plates for group style eating. Food was all hot and tasty, and filled everyone up. The view of the river was spectacular and calming at the same time. The place was bubbly and alive, almost like everyone was ready to bust out after a long winter. A quick walkthrough exposed a place for live music performances, looked like the place can get hoppin' and would be a fun group outing place. Service was great, although it seemed they could have used a little more help. Like many local restaurants there was a 20% surcharge on our ticket, so add a 20% gratuity and that seemed like it escalated quickly. It was a fun outing, unique place with a great theme and view. Everyone needs to go here soon! Thanks Psycho Susie!

Peter K.

Yelp
Always very busy, but the drinks are overpriced and the food is 'so so'. Fun to try once, and they are on the river which is nice.

Alyana S.

Yelp
I came here for the Mary's Christmas Palace and I made the reservation for this over Thanksgiving! I highly recommend making a reservation way in advance. When you get there you get 90 minutes at your table so I recommend ordering your food on the QR code than the bar since it's does take a while. Then take the time to take pictures and do all the videos you want after you order your food! I enjoyed their Christmas themed cocktails! They have fun names. Their food was subpar and I wish they had more choices. Plus they took forever to bring out my fiancés food. Overall such a fun time and will be doing it every year!

Xia Y.

Yelp
Super festive. Super busy. A great place to hang out but rsvp way in advance. They do have a bar with limited seating fcfs (8 chairs) and a outdoor patio area but if you're looking for a table, highly suggest to call ahead and reserve a table. Hoping to return and try their menu. Other than that, they had fun, holiday drinks.

Emilee J.

Yelp
our trip to psycho suzi's was nothing short of amazing from start to finish. i simply cannot imagine how much work went into crafting this little winter wonderland beyond the obvious aesthetics, this was truly such an eventful experience across the board. from the fully customized Christmas drink menu to decorating half a dozen cookies right on our dinner table, I seriously couldn't have been more jazzed to be alive. it was just the holiday spirit I needed on a dreary November night. the drinks were amazing - especially the boozy hot chocolate and I LOVED my hot honey pizza!! this an absolute MUST go in MSP and the good news is you have until the end of january to join in on all of the festivities

Sahithi M.

Yelp
This tiki bar is full of vibe, some friendly staff and stellar drinks! They have some amazing tiki glasses to choose your drinks from! You have to pay extra for the glasses and you can take them home.. they have this amazing patio which is completely littt!!!! I recommend you sit out in the patio for those amazing views...I always love to sit in their patio! They have some good parking space available, but it's always almost full... great place to hangout with friends or to take your date! Would definitely recommend.

Nadeem J.

Yelp
Wow, I can't believe I waited till the last week this place was open to check them out.....shame on me. This place makes you feel like you're at a tropical resort with the best tiki bar ambiance I have experienced. I ordered the Thailand Island pizza and while it wasn't filling at all, it was delicious. The pineapple pieces added a great touch. They we're out of their tiki cup drinks so just ordered a ginger beer (free refills on soft drinks!!!). Plenty of parking, east to order off the app. Go see them before they close forever!!

Yelp
It's Christmas time! And the place is completely decked out! If you need to get in the holiday spirit, this is your place! Atmosphere and holiday drinks are one of a kind. Service was walk up service to the bar, take care of yourself type place, but bartenders were great and drinks delicious. So fun I wanted to try them all! Good is ordered through an app as well, we ordered pizzas, which only allowed us to order small personal ones and a few other apps. Food was decent. But this place is a must see! Hurry before they are sold and gone!

Yelp
I went again this year for Mary's Christmas Palace! First and foremost--MAKE A RESERVATION. Otherwise you can expect to wait 2+ hours for the experience. That said, the chaotic decorations, strong drinks, and food make this worth the money. Food was once again pretty good and, honestly, perfectly proportioned. I would recommend staying away from the Prosciutto Party Hat pizza though because it was surprisingly bland. Service was very quick and friendly. My only complaint is that an hour and a half is just not enough time if you want drinks, an app, and a main. They need to extend reservation time limits, especially because you have to pay for them.

Yelp
Love coming here for the Christmas theme that they do! Such a fun time and great place for pictures as the entire restaurant is decked out to the nines in decorations. Holiday Hudnik was fantastic - very heavy on the coconut flavor which I loved! Friends got the Jingle Ball and loved the presentation of it. Have been here a few times for the Christmas event and will definitely keep coming. Note that they are strict with their times and will alert you when your reservation is coming to an end. Definitely make a reservation - even on a Wednesday night, the wait was 30-45 min for a walk-in.

Yelp
Psycho Suzi's is a great place for fruity tiki drinks, and a beautiful patio overlooking the river. They also have kitschy Christmas theming in the winter. Service has been changing but the current set up is to order drinks at the bar or food and drinks via a QR code. Food is mediocre since the drinks are the focus, but the duck wontons were pretty good. Fair warning, it can get pretty busy on a weekend evening in the summer so if you want a table, come early or very late.

Yelp
It should be noted that I have only been to this restaurant when it has been converted into Mary's Christmas palace. You can access those Christmas themed tiki bar starting in November. I highly recommend making a reservation on the weekend, but you won't need one during the week. The online system for getting a reservation charges you five dollars per person, definitely not worth it during the week because you can walk right in and grab yourself a table. I ordered the jingle ball which was absolutely delicious and cute. It came in the ornament that I got to pour into my martini glass. If you like fruity drinks I don't taste a lot like alcohol this is the one for you. The Virgin Mary is exactly as expected, tropical with absolutely no alcohol. This is great for non-drinkers. The Apple old fashion is a great twist and a classic. You won't be sorry if you order any of these three drinks. I will warn you about the mai tai, it is basically all alcohol and came out brown. We actually had to switch it out. The punch in the booth them uncle Glenn is also a solid option but can get a little pricey. One of the main foods that they choose to do here is pizza, I wasn't a huge fan of it but if you're drinking and hungry why not. I will say the turds of reindeer a.k.a. the cheese curds are absolutely delicious. We also tried the bread pudding which was good as well as the decorate your own sugar cookie option. I saw a new loves Christmas I absolutely cannot recommend this bar enough! Do yourself a favor and go, and then go again and again until you work your way through their magical menu.

Yelp
This place transports you to a vacation! I loved everything. The patio, the decor, the bar and the view are amazing, a real tiki bar feeling that immediately make you feel like you are in a tropical place. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and ordered a Hawaiian pizza and 3 cocktails ( the beachcomber, the paralyzed politician and the siren's call). Pizza was surprisingly delicious with a crunchy thin dough ( one of the best I have had lately) and cocktails were perfect. Cocktails can be ordered in a regular glass or for an extra $10 in a specialty ceramic tiki glass that be taken home. At the patio are is sit yourself and autoservice. You have to go to the bar for drinks. Food can be ordered through an app from the table or by the bar. I would definitely come back with friends or family. Its a fun place with great ambience, amazing patio and view, food and drinks. Note: 3 years ago we visited in a weekday in winter and had a different opinion. ( really cool place with creative drinks but food didn't impressed me at that time). Probably the Patio and nice weather makes a big difference with the experience. Now they have a more limited menu, but better quality in my opinion.

Yelp
Psycho Suzi's Motor Lounge has been on my Minnesota bucket list for a while now. So when my bestie and I were seeking a place for lunch, we knew just the place. I gotta say: I'm PSYCHO for Psycho Suzi's! Now that I have that off my chest, let's talk about why: AMBIANCE & LOCATION: This is where they really crush it. So Psycho Suzi's Motor Lounge is a tikki bar. They offer up a wide variety of tikki inspired cocktails, apps, pizzas, and sandwiches. They're located on the shore of the Mississippi River and the patio offers some epic riverfront views. We spent our visit soaking up the summer sun while the tikki carvings watched from about. Inside exudes a 70's lounge type vibe. With swanky booths, tikki carvings, dim lighting, and string lights what more could you ask for? DRINKS: We both were seeking something fruity and fun. We ordered the Mai Tai: fresh squeezed lime, amber rum, house-made orgeat, pineapple, Curacao, and a dark Jamaican rum float. So... It was not the most picture worthy of beverages given its murky coloring, but boy howdy was that a strong drink! I was a little bummed to see the drinks weren't served in the fun tikki glasses you would expect; I'm sure they would be stolen like all the time. They do have them available for purchase though! EATS: YUM! Just yum! We started off with an order of the Nordeast Cheese Curds. They were perfectly beer battered, crispy fried, and served up with their house marinara. Then we chose to split the Thailand island pizza: roasted chicken, pineapple, basil, scallions, green pepper, Thai chili, pickled carrots, and spicy organic peanut sauce. The pizza was perfectly baked with a thinner type crust. Loved the flavors! We also had a fennel sausage and peppers sub that was delicious! Def a great shareable menu! SERVICE: While our interactions with the waitstaff were infrequent, the times we did were great! When our pizza came out, the server complimented our selection; it was clearly a favorite of his. Psycho Suzi's Motor Lounge was def a hit. I'd love to come back and check out more of their menu and soak up some sun on that spacious patio. **Pro Tip: Looking for brunch?! It's served Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm. Def will be coming back for that! **Noteworthy: There is a photobooth in the lobby. You have to pay at the bar to get a ticket from the bar to use it. Unfortunately, we were already heading to our next destination - so we skipped it this time.

Yelp
Boy, this place has really gone downhill. It has totally lost its cool factor. $15 to buy an empty mug then I have to take it to the bar to buy a drink? I have to pay to make lunch reservations only to arrive and find the place practically empty? AND you grab a menu and seat yourself? C'mon guys. Before Covid this was a hot spot now it's just another empty parking lot in a not-so-great part of town. Not even worth buying a T-shirt for. I've been to plenty of cool-even mediocre-tiki bars and this place clearly has seen better days. Sorry. I used to love ya but you lost me.

Yelp
Cool place with a great location along the Mississippi River. With place its all about the fun and the great setting. To be totally honest, the drinks aren't spectacular and are pretty pricey. But if you want to have a drink with an umbrella in it, while sitting amongst some tiki torches this is your place! We were lucky, it was an amazingly prefect night (weather-wise) and we found seating right away. Got to watch the Mississippi flow by and had a great time. Worth the drink prices. Definitely a must see if visiting Minneapolis.

Yelp
Wonderfully tasty AND STRONG drinks. The solo pizzas are definitely the perfect pair to not get too tipsy. Also don't skip on the deep fried cauliflower!

Yelp
I love Psycho Suzi's. Such a fun vibe. Awesome decor. Drinks were excellent. Bartender and fellow patrons were friendly. It was a cold rainy night so I didn't get to check out the patio. It looked nice though. I'd love to come back in the summer and drink the day away.

Yelp
Love the tiki bar theme. I think it's been done tastefully, right from the structure, the decor, cocktail glasses, everything oozes tiki. Friendly service, you have to go to the bar to order all your food/ drinks. Great pub grub.. Loved how airy the place is, both inside and outdoors even when super crowded it doesn't quite feel like it. Fun tiki cocktail mugs that you get to take home though the drinks themselves were a little on the sweet side for me.

Yelp
Psycho Suzi Motor Lounge is a great place to hang during Christmas time. They go all out with Christmas decorations for the Holiday Palace theme. It actually looks like someone threw up Christmas. Every Christmas decoration you can imagine is placed inside. It can be overwhelming if Christmas is not your thing or quite festive if Christmas is your favorite holiday. While I have been to Psycho Suzi multiple times, the food and drinks were never that impressive to me. To me, the outside patio is worth every trip here though! However, during Christmas time, I felt as if the food and drinks were 10x better than I imagined. See what the Christmas spirit does to you? The presentation of drinks and food was all thought out and it just made everything taste that much better. It's truly an experience you will never forget.

Yelp
Okay you have to try this place once. There's no other place like psycho suzis around the cities. It's tacky Hawaiian themed everything! What more could you want for a fun night out? I do love their decor and the theme they have going on. Definitely sit outside on the patio if you can. It's got great views of the river. It's a little different with covid now. To order, you have to go to the bar. They have a whole bunch of fun, hawaiian, cocktails to choose from. The majority have rum in them. You can pay extra to take home the cute tiki cups if you want, otherwise they just come in a plain glass. People were stealing the themed glasses so now that fun is over. Their menu is quite a bit different since covid hit. Mostly pizza, subs and some basic bar appetizers. Lame. They used to have these sugar weenies wrapped in bacon and minnesota sushi that were amazing. I wanted something exciting to go with my cool drink. Anyways, we ordered the Suzi Supreme pizza in a single size. It wasn't bad! The crust on it was really good. I really want to love this place but the food and dranks didn't do it for me. I hope they can bring back their original menu. It's sorta a "one time" place with some friends kinda thing.

Yelp
This review is based on "Mary's Christmas Palace" which is a holiday setup that Psycho Suzi's puts on and it is festive, creative, and unique! The holiday setup made me question how long it took for the staff to decorate because every single spot of each wall was decked out with tinsel, wrapping paper, bows, Christmas lights, and holiday decor from floor to ceiling. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance to secure a spot because this event is getting quite popular! When you arrive, you will get assigned a table number. Tip: make sure you have most of your party before seating because you have exactly 90-minutes to order and enjoy the experience. The clock starts once you obtain the table number. All ordering is done online via your phone and paper copies of the menu are available. Drinks range from a jingle ball booze filled ornament to tequila slushes in a snow globe. Many of the drinks you can pay extra to keep the fun mug/ jar. There is also a smaller menu for food such as personal pizzas, cheese curds, and burgers (all with holiday themed names of course). I rate this a 4-star only because the app didn't allow for ordering extra silverware or waters which would have been the star on the tree. Come enjoy and maybe wear your finest ugly sweater?!

Yelp
The atmosphere is amazing but it doesn't make up for the terrible service, especially an the bar. Everything is in a QR and the staff doesn't care at all about customer service. I would save your money, since it's $15 per drink, and go somewhere else.

Yelp
Aloha! Excellent retro tiki bar with strong cocktails and a great big patio out back. Plenty of tasty rum elixirs to choose from and my favorites are the Mai Tai, Miserable Bastard, and Siren's Call. For fruitier tropical options, go with the Beachcomber, One-Eyed Willy, or Crummy Rummy. Pizzas are ok, but most of the toppings and cheesey goodness are clustered in the center of the pizza leaving a whole lotta unembellished crust. The outside deck is delightful with thatch umbrellas, river view, and occasionally live music. Cheers!

Yelp
Amazing tiki bar! Such a fun spot to go out with friends with on any night. Patio is decorated so cute/tropical and the restaurant is located right on the water. They also offer a happy hour (check website for details). The drink I ordered was delicious. They also offer food. You can pay extra for a specialty cup that you can take home. Tons of tables to mingle with friends. I want to come back soon for next occasion!

Yelp
5 stars means I wouldn't change anything about my visit. Truth! We arrived right at 3pm when they opened and we were not even the first people there. I'm glad we got there early! On the way in we grabbed a drink menu and a shady spot overlooking the river. Walking through the lounge with vintage lights, classic music and leopard print everywhere made me so happy. Spot on ambiance! The bartenders were fast and friendly. My first round order was peppered with a lot of "good choice, hon" which I just love. (I used to live in Baltimore. Hon is the local endearment.) Look, I didn't get food. That was not my main focus. It's not what I expect from tiki bars/cocktail lounges. I saw pizzas and burgers go by that looked good. Legitimately good tiki drinks with ingredients like orgeat and falernum is what I'm after. The drinks did not disappoint! The Leilani and coconaut were lightly sweet and the Shipwreck was fantastic and well-balanced. Also, I thought the cocktail prices were good. I've paid more for less! And I've paid more for the same drinks at other tiki bars. I didn't have the experience of automatically added 18% gratuity that someone else mentioned. This poster was upset that she tipped someone that didn't deliver her drink. Have a heart, lady! I was given the gratuity options when I paid. The staff here (and everywhere) deserves better than 18%! **Bonus points for the photo booth and the tiki-tronic vending machines. Fun!
