"Pub On The Park is a choose-your-own-adventure video game—if there was a video game called The Legend Of Dr. Marten And The Magic Vape. Within chlorine-sniffing distance of London Fields Lido, this park-side pub has three big outdoor spaces. We like the downstairs suntrap terrace for low-key first dates and shameless dog-watching, while the upper terrace and slip-way bench setup is ideal for those who are partial to balls of both the foot and mac ‘n’ cheese variety. When it comes to food, there’s an overwhelming offering of smoked meats and other sticky, fried things that are destined to be dipped in buffalo hot sauce—it's all fine. Also, hello great weather hack—you can book the outdoor tables and there are screens showing big sporting events. photo credit: Pub On The Park photo credit: Pub On The Park photo credit: Pub On The Park" - Heidi Lauth Beasley

Go on a Wed evening to see Vintage Rhythm and Blues and whatever guest star they may have... what a fantastic rhythm and blues band! Fun spot for dancing and mingling. Great drinks as well. $10 cover includes 1 cocktail. Street parking.

Great place for live local music. The food was great and excellent bar service. Rory is an awesome bartender.

My stars are given for the pub, not for Kyle's behavior. We had a group attend the open mic night. Our food and drinks were nice. Definitely recommend the food and drinks. The needs improvement for food is the nachos...it was more like chips with sprinkles of toppings on top. The bacon cheeseburger with sauce had great flavoring. Everything was going nicely until person #11 was on stage. He was finishing his last joke when Kyle, the MC, showed the 'light'. Kyle yelled vehemently at the person about respect the light, and he (Kyle) didn't get paid enough for this. Kyle was ABSOLUTELY out of line. Kyle made the entire atmosphere unpleasant and tense!!! Plus, Kyle's stand-up was beyond inappropriate. I am posting a pic of Kyle. He should never host comedy events. He is highly inappropriate, unprofessional, and can not control his temper. He is a sure way to ruin someone's business.

Fun place with wonderful staff. My first time there last night. I was disappointed with the nachos we ordered but great drinks and great prices. Love the live music!

Google
One great show after the next. Service is fast, drinks and food are perfect comfort pub style. Excellent variety of acts for all ages and genres. Never disappointed!

Decent place for Rhode Island. Went for an intimate live music event. Bar was a little tough to get service at with everyone sitting. Didn't eat.

Bartender said oh no the cook/owner won't go for that he'll get pissed???? . Want an extreme change it was very small request???

Yelp
As a musician and a friend of many musicians, I really enjoy going to this venue to see my friends, and I enjoy playing there myself, their weekend entertainment compels from talented bands from the area, the wait staff is very attentive to your needs whenever you need a drink or food , the food is what you would consider from a pub, it's always hot and very good, this establishment is attached to a bowling alley so if you feel like bowling a few games, just walk through the doorway next to the bar, it is definitely a fun evening out, but be ready to pay a $10 cover at the door per person if a band is playing, just an FYI but again it's a wonderful place to have a night out and dance to your favorite tunes to your favorite local band

Erin M.

Yelp
I love this place! Friends and I come here all the time for dancing to the live music. $10 cover but the drinks are really reasonable! The bar staff are all lovely!

Margo K.

Yelp
I've lived here 20 years, have driven by countless times, and had no idea that inside people were dancing. Food was good, drinks were reasonably priced, and the band was good. Loved that folks were dancing in groups, as couples, and solo. This is one of the few places in RI where a vintage adult can go dancing. Yay!

Gerry B.

Yelp
It's OK- draft beer is kinda funky. Don't think I would eat there. They do get decent bands and Trivia was fun.

Mike C.

Yelp
Love their live music. Acoustics are good. Staff is friendly. Cover charges, pub food and alcohol are fairly priced.

Yelp
Best fries. We had our family Christmas party at the attached bowling alley.. I grew up bowling there, so it holds a lot of great memories. Anyway, we ordered some pizzas and french fries. When I asked if they had fries I got "Fries? We have the best fries in the state" and I was skeptical but ok, we got a couple of baskets. They were devoured. Hand cut and perfectly salted. I think they have seasoned fries too - but I haven't ever tried them. I don't stray. My other fav there is the chicken caesar pizza. They also have a great beer selection, and when I asked if they had Peanut Butter Whiskey they did within a few hours. Mondays they have a comedy open mic - I enjoy watching a friend of mine go and try out new material. And the variety of other performers. I am a sap and I love the support from comedians to each other that you sometimes see. On weekends they have live music and I have unexpectedly seen some fun local musicians. Between it's close proximity to my house and the comfortable atmosphere I am always down for a Pub on Park night. And the fries.

Mike C.

Yelp
The Pub on Park is a nice place to check out the local music scene. Acoustics are pretty good for a loud room and they have a decent size dance floor. The best night is the Wednesday "Vintage Rhythm and Blues Ensemble" (VRBE) show. The band and their guest are an incredible group of talented musicians who put on one of the best blues shows in the state! The pub itself is clean and serves okay pub fair but it does get a little cold in the winter.

Katie L.

Yelp
Excellent table service, tasty appetizers and a live AC/DC tribute band?! What's not to love?! The rain kept the place from being packed which was actually nice. Plenty of room to relax at your table or to get out on the dance floor. I ended up ordering appetizers for the table - mozzarella sticks and fried pickles (slices not spears) and both were hot and tasty. I would definitely come back to this pub!

Yelp
Big Bar Good neighborhood bar around Cranston with lots of activities usually. They are attached to the legion bowling center next door. Quite empty on a Sunday with nothing much happening. They have open mic and karaoke on mondays and Tuesdays. Live music with swing dancing lessons on wednesdays. They also have live music on fridays and saturdays. Service was good. Got an Irish coffee which was Aok. Also got the standard sliders which were ok, a little dry to my liking and the fries were overly salty. Mostly pub fare though. They have a decent selection of beers on tap. Overall good place to grab a drink and watch live music or dance along in a divey sort of atmosphere. Food's a hit or miss. They do have parking for the bowling alley. Thanks

Yelp
Very gracious people here. BIG hot spot for locals. Very friendly social environment. I shot some video here for a local TV station/show and it was very nice. It's more for older generations. But, the people are all very close and friendly. Good polite manners, and nice disposition of locals. The owner of the place was a very lovely person whom treated us very well. Not an evil bone in anyone here. There's also a Bowling alley with an arcade & pool haul next to it that you can walk strait to behind the bar.

Barbara J.

Yelp
The only reason for three stars is because If I'm going have dinner and watch a band, I cannot afford both a ten dollar cover charge and the food. If I'm going to spend $20 in food or drink then the $10 is just too much for a night out. As a senior who is retired I just can't afford to eat there and see a band. I would however, eat at home and then pay the $10 cover charge if there is a band.

Julia M.

Yelp
This is a great hang for drinks and live music. Lots of dancers. Dancers, like they take their lessons very seriously. They got a lot of style! The drinks are devine! I got a Mango Madness and I need to be careful. Can't taste the alcohol at all! Good cheap eats, too. Where else can I get a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato made on Texas toast (so you know it's not puny) with pub fries for $5? But I didn't get the grilled cheese because I'm a cheap bastard. I got it because I like grilled cheese. And they make a good grilled cheese! The $8 drink is a big one. You will have fun. Support live music!

Yelp
Place is fine. Terrible location. Service terrible. They charge cover for Saturday's evenings - even though the place is dead. If you are the DD in a group, want a water, they still make you pay for it and say they don't offer tap water. This place is gross. Go elsewhere.

Angela I.

Yelp
This place is amazing for comedy! They have an open mic every Monday for local comics and often have larger shows and comedy contests. I came here for the first time because my roommate was involved with comedy, but I have to say that I was impressed with the rest. Bartenders are on point, food is excellent, and the vibe makes for a really good time. Be mindful that it's a little loud and can get a little crowded, although there's tons of seating- you still might want to get here about half an hour to forty-five minutes early before shows. Sit back, sip on a martini, grab some pulled pork nachos, and let the laughs roll in!

Yelp
Being a huge beer geek I'm always looking for a decent spot to sample some good craft brews. I was told about this place by a beer friend. I went there late night on a Sunday and it was pretty busy. We sat at the bar. The bartender was awesome. He came over right away , offered to let us try some beers since we were unsure what we wanted. He recommended a beer for us too. He made sure Our glasses were kept full and we were happy the entire time we were there. Speaking of drinks they have a lot of craft brew and many locals ones which I always love to support. We also had burgers. They were juicy and big and not frozen for sure. The prices were reasonable for what we had too. They were doing karaoke that night but also have some local bands that play almost every night it seems. If your looking for a cool spot to hang out and have some craft brews I'd recommend it For sure !

Yelp
Stopped in on a cold, dreary Saturday afternoon for drinks and some bar food. The place was empty, except for 1 other bar patron who appeared to be a regular. We were greeted by the owner who kept good conversation and even opened up the kitchen a bit before it's scheduled time so we could fill our bellies with some much needed food. I ordered the hummus plate and mama's grilled cheese. Hummus plate was awesome, really freakin' good olive spread and fresh hummus. The grilled cheese... meh, it was just ok. The hand cut fries were delish, but a tad bit salty. I can see how this place would be bumpin' with an older crowd, given the acts they attract like swing dancing lessons on Wednesday nights, but I like the idea of a bar being attached to a duck-pin bowling alley/arcade/pool hall.

Scott I.

Yelp
Doing everything right. Food was great.. the French fries are awesome. Live music is great.

Mike B.

Yelp
I ordered an $8 drink. When it arrived I was asked whether I wanted a tab or pay-as-you-go. A tab would have required letting them hold my credit card, so I opted for pay-as-you-go. Then I was told my drink didn't meet the $10 minimum for a credit card purchase, so I sent it back. I asked what they would have done had I chosen to open the tab, spent only $8, and later went to close the tab. The waitress told me they would have charged my card the $10 minimum. This sort of conduct is outrageous, especially without proper advance disclosure, and I refuse to do business with such a place. In the end, not only did the restaurant lose my business but they deeply offended me. Was that worth the credit card processing fee they saved?

Suzanne P.

Yelp
Great little show venue, and the nachos are spot on!! Heads up though, the drinks are strong- no complaints from me

Bella K.

Yelp
Pretty good spot. I've been in this establishment 2 or 3 times now, and was able to enjoy myself. I went on a Thursday Karaoke night with a friend of mine. There are some amazing singers that go to this place! I'll be back at some point, I am certain!

Dorothy J.

Yelp
Came here last night to watch the World Premier Band. It's a pretty large place and plenty of room to walk & dance. I was hungry and ordered a buffalo chicken pizza which wasn't that great, but because I was hungry I still finished it. The drinks were okay..not that strong. The crowd was interesting to say the least lol. I had fun because the World Premiere Band was awesome, but wouldn't go back unless they have another good Band playing.

Brandi C.

Yelp
I went out to enjoy a drink with my husband for an enjoyable night only to have it spoiled we were told we couldn't talk during the entertainment we were talking amongst ourselves not loud at all so Tuesday nights u must stay at a library whisper... I'm all set !!!

Tamara N.

Yelp
I adored it here! I had just landed in Providence from a very long trip in middle-of-nowhere Alabama and the manfriend brought me here. It was late on Friday but the music was great, the atmosphere was spectacular, we were able to dance and meet people easily. All bartenders were fun and quick to serve. Great place - when in providence again I'd definitely go back here

Renée G.

Yelp
I love hanging out here! My boyfriend and I come about once a week because they have a $10 swing dancing lesson on Wednesday nights. There's also live music on those nights, and I've been told they do several other events. They're also attached to an old bowling alley that has arcade games. It seems like a fun place to hang out any night! The crowd is definitely a bit older, but that seems indicative of Cranston. Aside from the entertainment, there are several things that set this place apart from the many other bars/pubs in Cranston. Whenever we have gone, it's always very clean, well-lit, and open. They have huge windows with a collection of plants that seem to really enjoy the natural light. The bartender is always friendly (we get the same guy every time). Their beer listing is above average (I like Whalers Brewing Co.) and they have some fun cocktails that my boyfriend enjoys. We haven't ordered a lot of food from here. We've looked over the menu before; it's typical bar food. We ordered burgers and onion rings one time; the burger was hot and cooked exactly the way I asked it to be. I would order it again, but I wouldn't show up just for the food. It's cheap and satisfying. I believe there's a $10 minimum for credit card purchases, but that's easy to go over at a bar when there are two people. I'm not sure if they have a parking lot; maybe there's one on the other side of the bowling alley. We never have to go that far because we always find a (free) parking spot on the street right out front. It's an ok place for small groups, as long as you go when it's not too crowded. I think there are TVs over the bar; it's a small space, so you can see them even if you sit at a table, but I wouldn't say this is a great place to go watch a game. Come on a Wednesday night and take a dance lesson!

Yelp
Turning out to be another one of the Best Comedy clubs in RI. I perform here 3 or 4 times a month. Great food, drinks friendly staff.

J L.

Yelp
How is this rated so highly? They are always out of half their beers on the beer menu. It's super pricey for what a dirty dive it is. The food is always mediocre to poor. The last time I was in the meat was rancid on my sandwich. The owner is super weird. Also there were patrons there legit in pajama pants. No thanks, all set.

Jill M.

Yelp
Well it says on the website that they open at 3 on a Sunday and we went there about 20 minutes ago after 4 and they where not yet...

Dezeree H.

Yelp
We really enjoy coming here. The entire staff is always friendly and welcoming. The food is good and reasonably priced and there is a good variety. We come here once or twice a month and I don't think we have ever ordered anything that wasn't good. I am a fan of the pizzas and quesadillas. Also, they is something going on everyday of the week. We are fans of the Thursday night trivia. Some nights they charge a cover depending on the band, but some are free. There is a bowling alley attached as well. Good neighborhood bar where you can meet some locals.

Kristen S.

Yelp
Super awesome food and atmosphere! Their comedy nights are super fun too! I've been a few times with friends and we always have a good time!

Tom G.

Yelp
Stopped in for the Tuesday open mic night with host Joanne Lurgio. Saw some wonderful talent in a true "listening room" environment. Very good pub food and drinks and staff very friendly. I suggest you give it a try if you want to play or listen. Always some unique talent!

Buddy E.

Yelp
Been here several times as I follow the Wed. night band. One time they charged my CCard although I paid cash. Two other times I wound up getting sick, not sure if it was from the food or not and another time I was charged for drinks I never had. Too bad I wont go any more as they have a super band on Wed. nights. Its a decent place but needs to get its act together. I know a few other guys who wont go there for reasons like mine.

Tim P.

Yelp
Great menu, nice and clean environment. LOVED the trivia. The only thing I found surprising in a disappointing way was being charged for multiple sodas with my dinner. Very rare not to have free refills these days. My friends continued to drink after dinner, so it wasn't like money wasn't being made. Aside from that small complaint, I would definitely return!

Barbara G.

Yelp
Check your tab!!! Added charges without you knowing. Response from server/bartender "that's how it comes up' shame on you Marshall. Your underpaid servers are also losing out on tips because of this! Hope you manage your brain a bit more.

April G.

Yelp
Saturday night at the bar. Won't go back there because of a so-called bartender who won't serve females. Stood right in front of her with money in hand and she looked right through me. A guy came up and boom, served in a second. Bad business practices. She looks like a monkey, maybe that's why she won't serve females

Molly P.

Yelp
Great local place, nice selection of beers, and friendly bartenders! They even added an outdoor space with picnic tables!!

Patrick O.

Yelp
Marshall has done a tremendous job with the pub. Expanded space, expanded food menu, and now a great beer menu. Almost any night you go there is something going on...either a comedy night, karaoke, or live bands. Prices are very good. Service is on point. Really solid job.
