Public Eat + Drink we visited as we were driving through North Adam's while leaf 🍃 peeping. It seemed to be popular and was a full house. The food was well made, and service was among the best 👌. I did not take pictures of the inside but the place has a trendy atmosphere. There is a full bar, plenty of seating. Took some food pics but did not take pics inside. I will next time! All in all a good experience! If in North Adam's Massachusetts stop in!!!

Public Eat & Drink is nestled just a few minutes' walk from the vibrant Mass MoCA museum in North Adams. This industrial chic restaurant is a delightful culinary gem that encapsulates the essence of comfort food with a modern twist. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between rustic charm and contemporary style, featuring an array of talented local art that enhances the industrial aesthetic and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. The menu boasts a range of American cuisine classics, but what sets this restaurant apart is their innovative approach. The standout dish for me was undoubtedly the fennel sausage mussels, which were hands down the best I've ever had. The combination of flavors was nothing short of spectacular, elevating a traditional favorite into an extraordinary dining experience. To complement my meal, I indulged in their crafted cocktails, each one meticulously prepared and bursting with unexpected flavor. The pineapple rice pudding, served as a delightful surprise, wrapped up my meal beautifully. Its unexpected twist was a highlight, showcasing the chef’s creativity and commitment to making comfort food exciting. The service was equally impressive; the staff were friendly, attentive, and exhibited a thorough knowledge of both the menu and the local area. Their passion for the food and the community was evident in every interaction. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in the North Adams area. With its deliciously creative cuisine, enjoyable ambiance, and top-notch service, it effortlessly combines the best of industrial style with culinary excellence.

I went with my family for dinner and we had a great experience! The food was very good. I got the Raspberry No-jito because I don't drink, and it was super refreshing, and not overpoweringly sweet. For apps, we got the Tuna Nachos and the Grilled Calamari. As a person who is not a huge fan of fish, both had a pretty mild fish taste, and I could eat both. I forgot to take pictures 😔. I was hungry. For my main I got the Public Burger with the impossible burger replacement (I don't eat beef). It was very good, and it was pretty juicy and the fries are really good. Get a side of the garlic aioli if you can!! Dessert was the Coconut Rice Pudding and it was a great refreshing dessert to end the meal. It wasn't overly sweet and the presentation was very cute. Service was also very good, our waitress was very nice, and left the bacon for my burger on the side in case I didn't eat meat. She was thoughtful and genuine. I would say that if you want to eat during rush hour, make a reservation. We were a party of four, and we had to sit at a high top lol, we made it work though. Overall, we had a very good experience, would come again :D

Public is one of our favorite local restaurants. Their menu changes seasonally so there’s often something new. Great salads and burgers, better tacos and tuna nachos. Inventive cocktails and good wine list.

Usually I prefer not choosing American food restaurant, but this one really impressed me with their food taste and quality. Definitely a must go if you are around. Their food just tastes wonderful, and service is pretty nice as well.

We discovered this place years ago and it became part of our annual trip. Back then the area was not as populated and there weren’t as many foliage tourists. Everyone used to be polite and the food was really good. We experienced the fall year after year as the area was becoming more and more popular, especially as the museum was growing. The food, the vibe, the politeness, everything started taking a dip. Yah, at this point Williamstown is a 10 min ride, so competition is not around the corner, but it’s there…

We ate here on a Friday evening. Ambiance is a nice mix of family friendly and upscale. The mussel appetizer was very good and our mains, hanger steak and pork chop, were cooked well and flavorful. Definitely a good choice for dinner while in North Adams.

In town for the weekend and are here on a busy Friday night. We made reservations online earlier in the day and the first opening was at 8 pm, so keep that in mind! The bar/tenders are expert. I had an eye drink and husband had something the bar tender made up based on his vague description. We were a little early so had our drinks in a comfortable lounge area with a comfortable couch.? The waitress kept us updated on the progress on our table. We felt very taken care of. The food was good but we weren’t blown away. I had the Cuban sandwich and my partner had the mussels. We also had two apps: salad and goat cheese. It was all a bit over-salted, but tasty. We’d definitely go back and try something else from the menu. It was reasonably priced, atmosphere was amazing, service stellar.
