Public House Omaha

I've been wanting to try Public House for several weeks now and last night was the night. Guess I should say, it's the night we tried! Walked in and my wife grabbed a table, as I went to the end of the bar. Two bartenders and they were both busy making drinks. I waited as they finished, and they still didn't acknowledge me. Then one of the bartenders helped another customer at the other end of the bar who walked up the same time I did and the second started cleaning behind the bar. I patiently waited but then he started asking the three customers sitting at the bar if they needed anything. One did, so he started making that drink for him. The other bartender had now finished the order for the other customer at the end of the bar, but then asked someone who just walked up to the bar if she could help him. This pattern continued for the next five minutes as they helped three other customers who walked up to the bar, as I stood alone at the other end of the bar. I'm not sure what I did to be totally ignored but obviously they didn't want my business. After watching the two bartenders serve 7 other people, my wife and I left. I've been to bars much, much busier than these bartenders were and never been ignored like this. I've been to sporting events and large venue busy bars where I've never been ignored like this. I've been in the most chic and sophisticated bars from New York to LA with some pretty snobby mixologist and never been treated like I was at Public House. Good luck surviving with the attitude of these two bartenders! We won't be back.

Found public house on a whim one night while looking for a place with cocktails and beers. It's one of our favorite places to come and enjoy a nice drink and enjoy the good music. The decor is on point 👌 I want that blue sofa 👀 Cocktail are always good and staff super friendly !

A beautiful place to host a party. The GM Chris was so helpful on helping us host a Sip + See. Fabulous cocktails, great environment, great vibes all around! Also, love the messages in the bathroom and how they supply personal items in the bathroom. Every detail on point to make you feel comfortable. Highly recommend for events or stop in for a drink!

I came here with my brother about a month ago, the drinks were good and it was quiet on a weekday night. The bartender was a little drunk and had her dogs running around behind the bar, going up to guests and barking like it was their home. It didn’t put me off enough to never want to come back. So when a friend and I were looking for somewhere to go for a nice cocktail we go to Public House. Same bartender, same dogs running around behind the bar which is where drinks are prepared so it’s a health code violation and is slightly unsettling but the bartender was drunk again so i’m sure she didn’t care. We got a couple rounds and were sitting outside on the back patio when I realized they closed at 12:00am and it was 12:04. We immediately got up and went inside the bar to realize it was completely closed, bartenders gone, lights off, front door locked… no one came outside to tell us it was closing time, and my tab was still open. the next day i realized the bartender took it upon herself to just close my tab for me and give herself a 20% tip. i’ve never left a review for a place like this nor has a bar / restaurant experience been so bad that i felt the need to, especially as someone who still works in the service industry and has bartended / served tables for many years. but after they closed my tab for me, the next day they charged my card AGAIN so i paid double the amount i was suppose to. luckily, i think someone noticed because the second charge eventually got reversed. all that being said i won’t be returning due to the possibility of that same bartender working.

I’ve been to Public House multiple times and it hits. I enjoy the atmosphere and find the service very good. The drinks are reasonably priced and delicious. Thanks for reading my Google review.

Public House is truly a gem in Omaha! The name couldn’t be more fitting because the vibe is so homey and welcoming—it feels like a place where everyone belongs. The bartenders are incredible, not only super knowledgeable about what they do but also genuinely great people. You can tell they have close relationships with so many of the regulars, which speaks volumes about the kind of place this is. Whether you're looking for a perfectly crafted drink or just a great atmosphere to unwind, Public House never disappoints. Love this place!

This is a great casual bar! Our cocktails were delicious, the atmosphere is chill and the bartenders were kind. Looking forward to them adding a food menu soon! Nice outdoor patio with fireplaces too!

This was such a fun night! Great drinks, amazing food (from neighboring eateries), and an awesome musician. Public House is a great venue to enjoy classy drinks. And I love that they allow you to bring in outside food. The drinks are well-crafted (it's even fun to watch them being made). And the ambiance makes for an intimate setting, great for date nights and private rentals! Plus, they have live music quite often (and it's not loud or a "concerty" feel), which enhances the mood. There's also comfortable outdoor seating with lots of surrounding nature. Need a new place to chill once in a while? Try Public House in iconic Rockbrook Village!

I was recently introduced to Public House through a Yelp event. I sampled a few of the offerings from their new seasonal menu, which they change about four times a year, in addition to special event menus for occasions like Christmas and Valentine's day. The seasonal menu compliments a permanent array of classic cocktails, some of which are hard to find around town. Public House offers a selection of mostly local draft beers, in 16 and 25 once frosty glasses, along with an array of bottles and cans to satisfy any preference. Like the rotating cocktail menu, some of the taps rotate seasonal, from roasted and malty stouts to crisp IPAs depending on the drinking weather. In addition to the intimate indoor setting, Public House provides a cozy patio, with fireplace and firepits to keep you warm on the cooler evenings. This outdoor space adjoins that of Corkscrew Wine and Cheese, allowing patrons to enjoy selections from both locations.

I can't say enough great things about Public House. We had an incredible experience from start to finish. The craft cocktails were truly the best I've ever had, and the staff made us feel like family before the night was over. We came for the Yelp event and Meg was outstanding!! Ashley Streubing was an absolute standout, hands down one of the most talented performers I've seen there. Public House is a 10/10 in every way. Highly recommend this amazing bar!

Stayed after a yelp event because I very much enjoyed the drinks and the vibe of the place. Wanted to stay and watch a Wild game (on my phone) but there's also TVs here that show major games on major networks. I appreciated the bartenders checking in and seeing if I needed the WiFi log in and if they could put it up on the TV too. I don't know why my wife and I have never been here before, but I know I'm going to bring her soon so she can see what I saw tonight by the crew!

Back at Public House for an event. Reminded why I like it so much. Great cocktails. Reasonable beer selection, plus wines. Music can be live or via their sound system. I enjoyed them both. Staff is very chill and friendly. I enjoy them each time I'm here. Well worth the repeat business.

Stopped in for some live music last Saturday and enjoyed a great show with a packed house! Very cool vibes in here, the live music was excellent, the singer Ashley did a great job engaging with the crowd. We got some NA drinks and grabbed a table. The bar tenders are awesome, super friendly. This is a great spot to grab a drink in Rockbrook.

This is a great spot for boujee cocktails! Totally my vibe, and plenty to choose from. The atmosphere is nice and classy, not too loud, and a patio outside. Not very large (one bartender on staff the Tuesday night I came), but busier during a week night than I expected. I tried to order a few drinks according to the menu I found online, and was told that was outdated. So be prepared to look up the QR code and choose from an entirely different set of drinks. No problem, the one I got tasted amazing! Their happy hour is also a great deal for the level of drinks you get. You can order from Pulled BBQ (through their phone number) and they will deliver it here for free. We enjoyed barbecue with our drinks! I would definitely come back!

The Public House is a great place to stop for drinks! Creative, seasonal cocktails, local beers, and an amazing patio out back! The service is always friendly and it's a laid back, comfortable atmosphere. Parking is pretty easy in Rockbrook Plaza, and several great restaurants nearby to make a night of it.

Quickly becoming a regular here! Love the cocktails, pear martini is my favorite. Mostly bar seating but I live for the comfy corners with benches and couches that this location offers. Two large screen tvs make it good place to catch a sports game. Even though there are two fire places, it has been too cold to fully enjoy the lovely patio. I can't wait to sit outside in the warmer weather! Bartenders are super friendly and sometimes they have doggies hanging around - I think there's no better welcome than that!

Started with dinner at Pasta Amore and then walked to Public House for a drink. The pumpkin latte was delicious! We had great service and enjoyed the fireplace. It added to the cozy vibe.

Great place for Sunday afternoon refreshments! Opens at 3 which not many specialty craft cocktail places are open at this time. Added Bonus it's Happy Hour Sundays 3-7! I'm having the $6 Strawberry Lemongrass Mule that's made with Grey Goose Strawberry Lemongrass-never knew they had that variety. It is light & refreshing! They have lots of flavored mules to select from! If you're a sports fan they have 2 tvs at each end of the bar-today's football games are on but alternative music is playing in the background. Nice vibes here.

Super chill bar! It's got a new, clean, hip vibe to it. Plenty of parking nearby. They have a bunch of fun cocktails, they just put up their summer menu when I stopped by. The bartender is super nice and knowledgeable.

I've been hearing great things about this place for a while. My friends and I went for a "quick drink" after work. Four hours later we decided it was our new spot. The bartenders are amazing! They greeted us as soon as we stepped in the bar, the space was casual but also boujee! We really enjoyed the ambiance! ALL of the drinks were spectacular. We each started with a mule. The cucumber mule was so refreshing and tasty! We also loved the pineapple mango and wild berry. I've been on an espresso martini kick lately as well, so I had to try at least one! They were fabulous. Claire knows how to make an espresso martini and she was such a sweetheart. Logan and Chris were very friendly as well. We spent some time on the patio. It was very spacious and had multiple seating options. This will be our new happy hour spot!

Really enjoyed some of the creative cocktails available at public house! They have good space indoors as well as a patio out back with several high top tables and a large circular couch surrounding a fire pit. The food situation was a bit odd to me, the cocktails were higher quality but our snack options were bags of chips or a BBQ sandwich from a nearby restaurant. It was a bit mismatched. I do plan to come back!

Very average. I had a Manhattan and It was a good Manhattan. But you can get good Manhattans at other bars. My complaint here is about the decor and, especially, the chairs. The chairs are mismatched and uncomfortable. One choice was a metal chair. No thanks! At McDonald's and other fast food spots, they have uncomfortable seats because they want you to eat and leave. Turn the tables. But at a bar, the owners want you to stay and spend more money. This is really a fundamental error in the bar business. But it is fixable. Open your eyes before it is too late!

Great all around. Craft cocktails, excellent liquor selection, and a fun rotation of custom drinks. Fresh ingredients and knowledgeable bartenders keep you happy. Order in some food from two close-by places and you can be here all night. Plenty of space and not too loud.

Went last night had the most amazing time. The place was super clean and an amazing atmosphere. The bartender was super kind and made the drinks absolutely amazing. Was also alot of fun to watch her make them in front of you. She was super friendly and a nice person to talk to. I definitely will be coming back here with friends and my bosses.

Perfect blend of extra sweet and a hint of spice. Service was excellent. We weren't dressed up when we popped in but this would be a fun place to go if you were having a fancy night out.

From the owners of Corkscrew comes Public House. Great service and seasonal cocktails. This area needed a bar like this. I have been here a few times now and just sitting at the bar with the bartenders makes for a good time. It has a swanky yet casual and comfortable vibe. Everything is affordable. I'd expect a higher price tag for their specialty cocktails. Also, it's clean!

Great service, and a laidback (but could be considered classy) vibe. We had a couple of their signature cocktails including the vanilla skies. All were delish.

Walking into the bar felt like you were interrupting a house party. When they were done making drinks they were smoking weed with other patrons. Our group asked if a different music station could be played and the bartender talked about the requested artist being "a girl who wasn't really a girl". It did not feel welcoming and I won't be back.

First time here last evening. What a great spot. Live music, the gal that sang was outstanding. espresso martinis. Loved it. Can't wait to go back.

Stopped in for a pre-dinner drink. The bartender recommended the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. This was hands down the best cocktail I have ever had in my life. It was delicious!! I even drug my friend back there after dinner for another. Such a cute place! The bathroom was top notch too. Had all of the necessities you can think of. Bonus! Can't wait to go back.

Each time I pop in, the service has been outstanding. The dry dirty vodka martini with blue cheese olives just as great. Highly recommend.

I met a few friends here and saw a sign that they offered whiskey flights. The bartender was very patient and knowledgable, conscious of our price point too. We got some bbq delivered, which was a fun option, and really felt comfortable in the space. Even the bathrooms are nice. Definitely a go-to spot for me now.
