Publik Draft House

Our lovely hotel concierge discreetly recommended PDH over the hotel restaurant for lunch and I’m so grateful she did. We had mussels to start and they were full of flavor and delicious, I wanted to drink the leftover sauce but our waiter brought us crispy bread and saved me the embarrassment. We also shared fried catfish and french dip, both were fantastic. Very lively but relaxed atmosphere, on top of it all our waiter Jordan was an absolute peach.

Fantastic!! Burgers were juicy and packing with flavor! Loaded potato soup was by far the best I have had thus far but appears to not be a regular menu item. My daughter really enjoyed the fried catfish with the light cornmeal breading. Both my adult children raved about the coleslaw. Our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Great location as we stayed across the street at The Georgian Terrace. Cool vibe. Definitely would recommend and revisit.

We tried PDH before a show at the Fox since it is right beside the venue. We tried several appetizers and a salad. Everything was very tasty and a great combination of flavors. My only tips would be to add hooks under the tables for ladies to hang their purses. Also, the tables are a little small but not much you can do about that. Service was good, not great. We ordered one mixed drink and it was very weak. Overall, we will definitely come back to try more options the next time we go to the Fox.

We came before a show and had a fabulous experience here. Brandon was out server and he is really really really good at his job. He was observant, attentive, friendly, and had excellent knowledge of the food and drinks available. We never ran out of anything, the entrees came out soon after we finished the appetizer, refills came before we ran out and the food was delicious. The burrata was fresh and the bread was crunchy and soft, just how I like it. We both got the mushroom ravioli and honestly it was divine. The mushroom, garlic, basil, cheese flavors mixed so well, I looked forward to every bite! We were too full for dessert but I'm sure it would have been wonderful as well. Thank you PDH for a perfect dining experience in a time where dining experiences seem to be declining. I will definitely be back, and I would recommend PDH to anyone downtown for an event.❤️

Service was incredible!! I wish I got the servers name, as he was a gem - truly exceptional customer service! Food was great too! The fries had a good flavor. Chicken wings meaty and cooked well. Trudy sandwich was good. Only thing didn’t love was the chili / it had rice in it which was odd.

We stopped in to grab a bite after a show at the Fox. The server was very friendly. Our orders had missing items. The food was ok. It may be better earlier in the day but I don't plan to return.

I had a fantastic experience at Publik Draft House. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was outstanding, our servers were incredibly friendly, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our visit. I ordered the burger but substituted it with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. The wedge salad was also a standout as it was fresh, crisp, and flavorful. On top of that, the service was impressively quick. Overall, Publik Draft House delivered on all fronts great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Brian was my server and he was awesome! Food was great. I had the house burger and it was just enough. The two patties were thin and cooked just right. The Cajun fries were good, not spicy. Great ambience.

I wish I had more time to try more on the menu. I stopped in quickly before a show at the Fox and took a seat at the bar. The host was very welcoming and set the tone for a great experience. The bartender was quick, even with a full house. I had a drink and appetizer in no time. Now that appetizer...I had the sweet potato fries and have been thinking about them every since. Delicious!! I'm seriously trying to plan a reason to come back just for those. The people next to me each ordered burgers and those looked great too. If only I'd had more time!

Before our concert at the Fox Theatre, we grabbed a quick bite at Publik Draft House, which directly neighbors the theatre. We had a limited amount of time and figured this restaurant would be the fastest nearby option. Sure enough, we were seated immediately and were given "The Show Menu", which is their menu on nights that the Fox Theatre hosts a show. The menu items are designed to complement a quick dining experience. What we ordered: -PDH Draft Burger (sub pepperjack for blue cheese; add tomato, lettuce, and sautéed onions) This was very good! The beef was perfect, and I loved the onions. The bun was pretty standard, with room for potential. The fries were nice and crispy, but were not super warm when they arrived. -Duck Quesadilla I'm not sure if I've had duck before, but it has a "greasy" taste that I'm not the biggest fan of. If you like duck, you may really like it! We made it out and into the theatre with time to spare, so I'd say their concept was a success. The food wasn't anything noteworthy, but it was still good!

When you order an appetizer you kinda expect that to come out before you're able to cook 4 burgers, and a sandwich wrap and everyone has finished their meal. Still charged us for it which is fine cause we ordered it but didn't own up to how long it was taking for some cheese and tomato's covered in balsamic glaze. Do better.

I ordered à la cart and the breakfast was pretty good. The chicken sausage was recommended over the bacon and honestly the chicken sausage had a weird after taste to it. Kind of like a burnt taste to it, but I still ate most of it. The grits were perfect and it was a lot of grits in that bowl so that was pretty filling. the eggs didn't really have any seasoning on it but that's OK because the chicken sausage and grits had enough seasoning on it , overall I had a really enjoyable experience here and they actually turned the TV for me so I could watch a basketball game so that was nice as well. The mimosa was standard. I would definitely go back when I'm in town

We stopped by for drinks but couldn't find any available seating. The place was extremely loud, making it hard to have a conversation. The beer was good, and the "Baptizr Me" drink tasted like a frozen slurpee; fun but not quite what we expected. All the floors were sticky, which was off-putting. We didn't order any food during our visit.

This place is a hidden gem! At first glance, you might expect typical greasy, low-quality food--but think again. The okra was some of the best I've ever had--perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice. The wedge salad was outstanding, featuring rich Gorgonzola, a flavorful dressing, and perfectly crispy salmon. An absolute must-try! Great fast service, we were in 19 and we received our food 15 mins after we ordered and cool ambiance.

Servers are not very welcoming. We were tired and wanted a quick bite. Place looked decent but being tired, this was the best option close to where we were. We got some drinks but the gin and tonic tasted off. There was not enough tonic in the mixture. They got me another drink and the server was honest about the different options. I appreciated that. The food is not great. I had salmon. Substituted mash potato for the couscous. Potatoes were cold. Salmon was decent. The side of string beans had some nasty sautéed sauce that tasted somewhat sweet. Inedible. Burger on the pretzel bun had no flavor. PDH smash burger was good. I would say this is a good place for a few drinks, the atmosphere was nice. Would not eat here again.

I have seen this place dozens of times and have always wanted to try it!! I had been at soccer game at Mercedes Benz late that evening and we came back and we were hungry! They weren't too busy and they were happy to seat our party of 4! We ordered some beers and the wait staff was extremely nice!! We ordered 2 orders of the wings and the fries and this was phenomenal. The wings were Korean fusion and the fries were crispy and well seasoned just stellar!! Would totally recommend for late night bites and I can't wait to come back for another meal.

It's Labor Day, most restaurants seem to be open, and according to their door dash account which was still taking orders, so was Publik Draft House. We waited 45 minutes before the driver let me know they were closed. Incompetent management forgot to close their door dash. I wonder how many other customers will never return?

Stop in for a bite before the show at the fox. Our server Ali C. Took great care and provided excellent service in spite of the busy crowd. The food came out quick and hot. I enjoyed the lamb burger. They have a decent selection of draft beers. Topped off our meal with a brownie. Overall value is good considering the location. Will dine again!

I had a great time at karaoke here. The food was good, our waiter was friendly and helpful...he recommended us a great beer and helped my daughter choose a dessert. It hadn't gone to karaoke in a while and forgot how much fun it is to watch, cheer, and perform.

So I'm here to say that this wonderful place saved us tonight. We had a very important event at a nearby venue that fell through and last minute they accommodated our party of 40 or so. The service was great, friendly, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our evening was a hit. It's a super chill place with a vintage vibe and it was perfect for what we needed. They brought out so many apps and made sure our folks were fed. Go check them out!!!!

I popped in for lunch since it was conveniently across the street from my hotel. The ambiance was pleasant, and I opted for the chicken salad, which not only came in a generous portion but also boasted a variety of beer options. Additionally, they have an upstairs area to accommodate extra diners.

Nice lunch experience! Arrived Atlanta, checked in to the hotel, and asked the desk clerk for a lunch recommendation. She suggested Publik Draft House. It's a nice venue loaded with a historical charm. It was raining, and we got a two-top in the front bay window. The restaurant charm and the rain made it a special moment. I ordered the Kimchi shrimp, and it was very good, and I loved every bite, but it had no resemblance to kimchi. We lived in Korea for two years, and I've had a lot of Kimchi and could not detect the resemblance. Jan ordered the pimento chese shrimp and grits. She thought it was very good, but could not taste anything resembling pimento cheese in the dish. I took a bite and agreed. It was creamy and tasty, and I loved the seasoning on the shrimp. The restaurant was not crowded, very quiet, and the service was excellent. It's probably happening place in the evening. The prices are moderate

Came here before the Lion King matinee last Saturday. It was packed. Not only was the Lion King going on, but it was pride weekend. The hostess told me that there was room at the bar upstairs. Up I went. One seat left and I nabbed it. The bartender Alley was quite busy, but was so friendly. I sat next to two young ladies who were up from Columbus, GA to see the show. We started talking and it was fun. I ordered a cran and titos and a coors light. The beer was cold and the drink was very good. For food I ordered a burger with gorgonzola cheese and a Caesar salad. I ordered the burger medium rare. It wasn't. More medium well. I wasn't very happy with the salad dressing either. Not at all a Caesar tasting dressing. But the stars I've rated aren't for the food, it was for the people. Not only did I have a great conversation with the young ladies from Columbus, but they brought my lunch. Not only was Alley a great bartender she was a really lovely person. In fact the next day during the pride parade I went to PDH and hung with her for a bit. I'll be back. Won't have the burger, but I'll definitely come for the people.

Great food, great drinks, excellent service, and perfect location. They had a good drink and draft menu as well.

Best part of this place is the proximity to the Fox Theater. If that's not important to you, go literally anywhere else. Food is okay. Service staff is beyond bad. No one smiles. No one says hi. Our server asked if we wanted a desert menu 3 bites into our entree. They just want you to leave. When we first walked in, we waited at the host stand for 10 minutes. Almost every single server walked by and none smiled or said hi. The manager walked up, didn't make eye contact, and told us to 'wait a minute.' We didn't even speak to him we were just standing there lol.

Shrimp and grits tasty, French toast came out w out berries and server didn't say anything about them running out, biggest disappointment that Sapporo on draft is skunky, came out warm and a bit sour, probably dirty un refrigerated lines, shame since it's a draft house, not coming back and won't recommend

Stopped for afternoon drinks and appetizers. Drinks were wonderful and the crab cake delicious! Love pretzels but not a fan of cold beer cheese. Love the drinks options.

It was super busy at 6:30 on Friday night when there was a show at the Fox. I had a few employees walk right past me without saying hi or greeting that someone would be there to seat me soon. It was understandable though, as the whole place was packed. I managed to get the last seat at the upstairs bar as one of the only available options. It was good. Buzzing with everyone chatting bc it was slammed. Shay made me a margarita it was soo good. I ordered the publik wrap, also very yummy. The food arrived very fast. Definitely a place I would recommend and try again!

Meh. Mediocre food for inflated prices. The food wasn't bad but it was nothing special. All in all a pretty sub par place but if you're in the area and want a drink or some basic food you can consider it. For the prices being what they are I expected a lot more so I would not come back just on that alone. Service was ok, nothing stood out one way or the other. I was a little concerned with my chicken since it looked a little pink on the inside but tasted fine. Has divvy feels but staff seemed friendly.

PUBLIK Drafthouse is located to the Fox theater in Atlanta. This location gives them prime access to show goers and they get a substantial crowd, all at once. This restaurant operates like a well oiled machine, food and beverages were served quickly And with style. The bartender was funny and efficient. I had their salmon with couscous and it was crispy, moist, and delicious. I ordered the vegetable medley as as a side, and it was fresh and good. My friend had the lamb burger and he said it was delicious. This is a great location to get a meal before going to the fabulous Fox!

My post deleted, but the older gentleman who is a bar tender was so down to earth, informative, and assistive! I like how they're special menu items were out- means they're good. It's great for cocktails, casually hanging out, but also events! I was most impressed by the food menu being so diverse and not a typical pub!

This place has the feel of a "Cheers" where everyone knows your name lol. But the service is great and food is really good. The drinks are also very reasonable

Stopped in for appetizers before seeing a show at the Fox Theater last night. This place is just next door to the theater so it was perfect. They were quite busy but still were able to seat and serve 2 of us. Our server didn't seem overwhelmed at all despite it being packed. I was impressed by how quickly the food came out too. I ordered the fries and falafel plate to share with my friend and she got the wedge salad. Both were good options. Fun holiday drink menu too but I didn't try any. There are a lot of parking lots nearby but if coming on a night when there is a show going on I would do your research to find a lot beforehand (I just googled).

I came here on my lunch break today because I work nearby. Everyone was welcoming and although there were many people dining in, I was able to get a table pretty quickly. I ordered the Salmon BLT (minus the bacon because I'm Pescatarian). The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and it was SO TASTY! While I enjoyed my food, my waitress stopped by multiple times to check on me and to see if I needed anything. I was super impressed. This will definitely be one of the places that I have lunch at pretty often.

We went here for drinks on Sunday night and returned the next day for lunch. We were staying across the street at the Element hotel so it was convenient. Great food, drinks, vibe, and service. Carly and Allie were great! I will definitely return when I come back to Atlanta.

Great food! Had the Lamb Burger! Excellent service! Should be a 5 star! Wife had chicken sandwich and was excellent! Can't wait to get back here.

2023 Update: Simply put, this food establishment has me totally hooked. I'm from another state and visit Atlanta with some frequency. PDH is a 'must do' for me on each trip, basically becoming a ritual. I'm made to feel welcome and valued each time I arrive. The food and service has never once disappointed me. One team member (Kristi J) has made the biggest impact of all, and her crafting skills at the bar in the evening make everyone smile. For parties of one or two, I highly encourage considering bar seating (even with meals). A few weeks ago, a new brunch item was offered, and it truly dazzled. Peach glaze French toast. I hope it might still be available soon. Delicious! This restaurant is a popular visit when shows are taking place at The Fox, but I strongly recommend if in the area go and enjoy a relaxed dining experience that's memorable for all the right reasons. First time in Midtown in a decade and the place keeps changing (Goodbye Backstreet, but glad to see Bulldogs still there!). Had an appointment at the radiation place down the street and was going to JR Crickets, but they were closed for another hour, then stopped by Midtown Diner and they were closed on Tuesday, so ended up here. We sat outside and the waitress was extremely friendly. She took our drink orders and enjoyed the Publik draft of an oatmeal stout that was solid. My brother got the Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich and I got the Falafel Balls. Both of these came with a ton of fries. My brother said sandwich was OK and I really enjoyed the Falafel with tzatziki sauce. Besides the price being high (it is midtown!), I thought it was a great place with the excellent service and food. I can see this place being a perfect spot to get a few drinks before heading into the Fox Theatre.

The food is outstanding! I had the crab cake and it was amazing!!!! The fries are great too. The drinks are so good. The servers are amazing. Great customer service. The hostess is ok. The bartenders were amazing! They know how to make a great cocktail. The place is small but efficient. I like the decor.

An oasis in a desert of dining options! Staff fast and friendly, bar friendly for out of towners, high quality and reasonable pricing. A class establishment. Check them out.

Stopped in before an event at the Fox. Short on time, so just ordered appetizers! Quick turnaround....but that's where the GOOD ends! Food (wings & fried okra)...HORRIBLE!!! I think they're taking advantage of being located right next to Fox to serve yuck ! Step your game up....or stop charging higher end pub house prices for McDonald style food! Ps - also our server was super rude! #NeverAgain

We have season tickets to The Fox Theatre in Atlanta, and before our show we go to the Publik Draft House because it is so convenient to the Fox and the hotel nearby. We have been going there for years and the food is consistently good however the menu hasn't changed much in that time period either. Now I am definitely in favor of a certain amount of consistency (like Mary Mac's Tearoom), but sometimes it would be nice to have an unusual choice instead of the customary "Show Menu." Or maybe a little flair to make options that are related to the show in town. For example a "Mamma Mia Greek Salad" or "Parade Lox and Bagels" or "Shucks Corn Chowder." Some variety would make your menu memorable and fun.

We had just flew into Atlanta and checked into our hotel. As we were walking around for something to eat we saw this place was pretty packed so we figured we'd stop in. The man that greeted us gave us a great first impression and lots of laughs. Great lighting for the evening. We ordered fried pickles and a burger with fries to split. These were all tasty but nothing special. Our first waiter was very slow so the hostess that greeted us started taking over for our table. He was amazing! He was able to help get us more drinks or answer any questions while our other waiter was nowhere to be found. He noticed our service wasn't great and stepped in to help. The lady behind the bar was also very helpful and made wonderful drinks. Ordered a few shots and then took off which made for a nice first night.

I recently dined at Publik Draft House and had an amazing experience. The highlight of the evening was Mike, the bartender, who did a fantastic job. His friendly demeanor, expert drink recommendations, and engaging conversation made the night truly memorable. Make sure to try the Tap Room Burger!! I highly recommend visiting Publik Draft House and experiencing Mike's exceptional service. The place is really cool on the inside too. They even have chess nights every Tuesday for people to come and play with a nightly tournament

I should have trusted my gut with a 3.5 star rating. We showed up at 2:30pm on a Saturday for quick lunch before the GT/ UM game. We were seated and quickly ignored by a waiter for 10 min. Once someone asked if we had been seen we said no and placed our full order with him to expedite the process. Our beers took a little time to come out but food came fast, too fast. My chicken on my salad was a little too pink and soft after one bite that it needed to be sent back. Additionally it took 3 tries for them to bring me salad dressing..... for a salad. We ended up being late to the game because I had to eat my salad after my husband finished his entire meal. Definitely will just go to The Varsity for a quick bite before the next GT game we go to.

The food was great! We got the crab cake, sweet potato fries and the burger (with grilled chicken instead of beef). It was very good and came out fast. The service was slow, however our waiter was kind and host was apologetic. It was very busy. It is loud in the restaurant and a bit crowded but we had a window seat which was nice. Overall, I would come back for the food!

Well, it's a new year and I finally interacted with a different business establishment, so it's review time. Today's entry is Publik Draft House at the corner of Peachtree Street and Ponce de Leon Ave. It is physically connected to the Fox Theater building. It may have had a previous life as a jazz cafe called Churchill Grounds, but I never managed to stop in there so I'm not 100% sure. This was a last-minute substitution for a lunch outing for work. I knew nothing about it going in. Our party of 5 arrived just after noon on a mid-week day. The restaurant has a modest sized dining area + bar on the main level and what appeared to be a partial 2nd floor / balcony arrangement (probably just for evening use). They were about 1/3 full when we arrived and filled up closer to capacity while we were there. The menu was described as 'gastropub', which I'd agree with. They had standard burgers plus other sort of sandwiches (salmon BLT, French dip, etc.). I think they had some salads as well, but I didn't pay that much attention. They had 2 types of fries: cajun (which seemed more like normal potato-based fries without any real spices) and sweet potato based. They also seemed to have an extensive beer selection, likened by some in our party to Taco Mac's. They had wine as well, but I didn't notice if they extended to 'full bar' selection or not. Portion sizes were decent, but not huge. I finished my burger and enjoyed it. Everyone in our party seemed to agree that the food was above average. As you'd expect for a place like this in midtown, there is no parking lot. There are pay-lots nearby and street parking further away (metered and otherwise). If you are walking in this area and need a decent meal, this is a very viable choice.

Publik Draft House is a midtown staple. The perfect spot to grab lunch or an after work drink and bite to eat! They are always greeting me with a smile and the managers are always happy to accommodate any needs or requests you might have. Whatever cocktail mood you are in, the bartenders are sure to create something that will fit the bill! Publik Draft has kept their standards of service high, despite the ups and downs the Restaurant industry has faced over the past few years and I know they will continue to be one of my favorite spots in the city for years to come!

Our server appeared to be bothered to serve us and answer questions. I had the prime rib which he highly recommended. It was not good; too salty and overcooked. I did ask if I could get it medium rare and he said only medium to medium well. I should have seen this as a sign to order something else. I asked him if I could get it as rare as possible. It was well overcooked. I didn't finish it. I've been to this restaurant before with a much better experience. I'm very disappointed in the experience last night. I took a friend who goes monthly to the Fox and I'm sure she will not be back either.

They have a great interest as this is a part of historic Fox theater. Great list of local beers, the waiter was not bad. We had just drinks and I enjoyed it.

Pretty good! We ate at Publik Draft House before a show at the Fox Theatre because of its convenient location being directly by the theatre. Our server was very friendly and stayed on top of refills even given the restaurant being pretty busy. The food was good. I had the Fried Chicken and it was pretty good! It was an ok amount of food for the price. I would definitely dine here again before the show.

Service and the food was good. I will always come here when I am in town. I like the attention to detail with regard to specials of the day.

Great food, great bartenders, and an overall wonderful lunch. We had the falafel plate. Very generous portions, and came with carrot sticks, tzatziki sauce, and fries. Then we tried the Public wrap. We thought it was one big wrap, but it was 3 small ones, cut in half, served with sour cream, pico de gallo, and a lovely small salad dressed with a house vinaigrette. Between the two of us, we still took food home! (And those were appetizers) we can't wait to come back and try some different items. Everything looked so good!

The food and drinks are good, as are the staff and atmosphere. In fact, the bartender (Daniel, I think) was especially helpful with offering me some great info about the area for our return trip in a few months. Considering he had a fairly full bar to contend with, he didn't have to do that, but found a way without taking away from the great service provided to other customers. Publik Draft House is right across the street from the hotel we were at, so it was the most convenient option to avoid the hotel restaurant since those often tend to be extremely overpriced and/or low quality. I had their chicken Panini and it was very good. We'll be back to the same hotel in a few months, so we'll definitely go back to Publik Draft House.
