Chengdu Taste’s Sichuan Food Is Coming to Seattle | Eater Seattle

"Once built in 1927 and remodeled in 2017, the Publix building in the Chinatown-International District is quickly turning into a destination for great food, housing an array of notable eateries and becoming a focal point for varied culinary options in the neighborhood." - Gabe Guarente

Maintenance so far has been very prompt and even comes to fix your requests the same day you submit them. The elevators can go down at random more often than you’d like but they’re also very quick about getting someone out to fix that as well. Over all the apartment itself can be a little janky at times but the staff more than makes up for that by being so active and responsive to any issues you bring up. I’m very happy I moved here

The Property Manager, Arsha, is the single best point of contact for any rental that I’ve had in my 40 years of renting. He is always friendly, he is always caring, and he will go Above and Beyond at each opportunity to make a resident feel welcome and cared for. Arsha is the reason that I recommend Publix to everyone that I know.

The staff is great. I love the location. What I like the most is when I talk to my neighbors, they all are happy and have lived here for years. It doesn’t feel like a revolving door. Dom, in maintenance is fantastic. Arn is so eager to help, friendly and knowledgeable.

The property is in a great location for transit (Sounder, Amtrak, 1 Line, and future 2 Line connection) and the block it's on is calmer than adjacent ones. Everyone I've met is friendly and Anisha from the property itself is extremely helpful and goes above and beyond.

I rented here for a year and a half. During that time, I only ever had two maintenance tickets I entered, and one took over a week for them to even acknowledge it. But on move out, which was a hassle in itself because the property manager is completely unresponsive, I got a big surprise. After two months of asking "where's my security deposit", they told me they are withholding it due to a $1700+ balance due. Mind you, when I moved out, I had ZERO balance due, so this magically appearing after two months was a shock. They claim they sent a letter, which I never received, but I received not a single phone call from them about this, despite reaching out to them several times. But that didn't stop them from SENDING ME TO COLLECTIONS. Unbelievable. Steer clear of this place.

I’ve been living here almost 3 years and it’s been nice. It’s right next to the Link Transit Station so that’s a great benefit. Like Asian food? There’s plenty of shops to choose from. Wanna go to a baseball game? The stadiums are a short distance from the building. I also want to give a quick shout out to the office and maintenance staff. Arsha the property manager has been a consistent great help and has been very approachable whenever I had a question or needed to address a concern. Dom has been very proactive in handling maintenance issues that spring up from time to time. He’s also very transparent with updates on work orders.

I’ve lived here for a year and a half and the management team has been absolutely instrumental in creating stability and security in my life. Arsha has been working with me the entire time from when I had a case manager with the KCRHA to the transition into getting a stable job and assuming the responsibility of rent. I’ve never had an apartment manager I’ve trusted so much or felt was on my side to work with me and help the residents succeed. There’s a lot of empty language by corporate buildings about “apartment communities” but I’ve never seen it exemplified better than with Arsha and the team at Publix. Thank you so much!!!

Not a bad place to live. People are generally nice. Management takes care of things relatively quickly. Eclectic neighborhood, but also secure building. Other than city noise, which is purely external publix is a nice home

Yelp
GREAT PLACE TO LIVE! BUT... 1) Kinda pricey for inconveniences 2) Busy vehicle noise can be insane at times 3) Homeless drug addict screamers 4) Trash Problems more often than not One GREAT thing I can say about living here is... I NEVER hear my neighbors Top, bottom & sides! My wife and I moved here from Federal Way. We have always loved Seattle and Chinatown. For us the inconveniences don't push us away. It's something we deal with for the conveniences. Our Favorite FOOD IS EVERYWHERE! This is our home... for now...

Yelp
We have lived here for a few months now and everything has been top notch. The viewing/lease-signing/move-in process was the best I have experienced. The lobby is staffed and the Publix team is not only eager to assist residents, but they are actually nice people as well. The building is across the street from the link rail, sounder, and first hill street car and steps away from the stadium and Uwajimaya is across the street. The neighborhood is surprisingly quite, which is a nice bonus for living in the city. The apartments themselves are excellent. There are two attached buildings, the renovated Publix and the new attachment. I can speak only to the newly-constructed building units, which are very well-appointed with hardwood floors, GE appliances, double-pane windows, programmable thermostat...the list goes on. The cabinetry, hardware, and fixtures are all top quality as well. Beyond all this, the apartment has great amenities and views. The basement has a gym, bike storage/maintenance area, entertainment space, full kitchen with dining space. The rooftop area is massive, has two grills, an outdoor bigscreen, and a dog 'area'. Words can't do justice for the views of downtown, union station, smith tower, etc. This is my first experience with a Blanton-Turner property, and I have been nothing but impressed.

Yelp
I am so sad people could behave like this: Wanted to bail out of a contract(commitment) and refused to face the consequences. I was indecisive and a pain in the axx during the process of choosing an apartment with The Publix. But the property manager Ula was very patient and helpful, she was very accommodating and helped me made the choice. I really appreciate everything she had done for me. So, please don't be affected by some negative review written by negative people, that is what is really disgusting!

Yelp
I have lived at The Publix for the past year and have had a wonderful experience! John is excellent - professional, responsive, friendly, and always manages to handle difficult situations with a smile. It's obvious that he cares a lot about The Publix community and residents. The building itself is also very well-maintained, and it's right next a bakery, so the stairwell is filled with delicious smells every morning. The other tenants are respectful and friendly. It's definitely one of the best rental experiences I've ever had.

Yelp
We lived happily in the historic tower of the Publix for a year, leaving only because we needed to live further out from the city center where square footage comes at less of a premium. This location is amazing, as transit options abound to just about anywhere you would want to go, some of the best restaurants and entertainment venues in the city are within a few minute walk, and the city views from the rooftop deck are amazing. The building is also very well run, from move-in to move-out we were very happy with the friendly service provided by John and Todd. Maintenance is very prompt and communicative. The historic tower units can be small but are modernized and designed in a way that maximizes the utility of every square foot. For example, our 320 sq ft unit came with a dishwasher and full size tub. One thing about being this close to downtown is that garbage trucks are allowed to come through at any time of night--the 1am banging and clanging is not ideal for light sleepers. However, we would definitely rent again.
