Everywhere Messi Eats In Miami, Ranked

"Another early Messi-in-Miami sighting was when the World Cup champion was spotted in a Publix, although apparently it was a Broward Publix, not a Miami one. Still, seeing Messi in a Publix (in flip-flops, no less) suddenly made his South Florida arrival feel real. We all collectively imagined him chowing down on a chicken tender sub while sitting on the edge of a pool, feet dangling in the warm water. Messi, the Florida man. One of us. " - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino

The produce is exceptionally high in price. Go to Aldi. The rest of the store…also way too high. Update: I’m still kicking myself for going to this Publix, but it is the closest to my house. I spent $163 on Jan 25 and that’s without produce I needed. So much of it was rotten. See photos. I will say my checkout experience and the help with my bags this day was great. I have found most, but not all, of the cashiers and baggers to be friendly. I love that. However, I’ve never been treated warmly or treated courteously at the service desk where I often stop to exchange cash into different denominations. Look at the produce I saw that day and judge for yourself. Publix: if you don’t have fresh, appetizing produce to display, take it off your shelves!

Dear Publix Management, I’m writing to express my disappointment regarding a customer service interaction I experienced at your store this evening. I came in for just a bottle of wine and a bag of Takis, and while I used my card for the snacks, I intended to use cash for the wine. I had forgotten that cash isn’t accepted at the self-checkout, and when I realized this, I looked for assistance. There were two employees overseeing the self-checkout area—a Filipino woman and a light-skinned male employee. When I waved to the gentleman for help with the age-restricted item, he acknowledged that the woman was handling it on her tablet. Moments later, I realized I couldn’t complete the wine purchase with cash and asked the woman for assistance. Instead of simply helping me, she responded with a sharp tone, saying, “It says right there you can’t use cash.” Her delivery felt unnecessarily condescending and passive-aggressive. While I understand policies exist, a little kindness and professionalism go a long way—especially in a store like Publix, where I’ve come to expect excellent customer service. What I found most upsetting wasn’t the policy—it was how I was made to feel. Her tone suggested I was bothersome or unintelligent for needing help. Eventually, she did check me out at a regular register, but the experience left a negative impression. I visit this Publix almost daily, and most of your staff are helpful, friendly, and professional. However, this interaction was disappointing. I strongly encourage management to provide coaching or customer service training to ensure all employees understand how to treat patrons with respect and courtesy. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope my feedback is received constructively, and that steps are taken to uphold the high standard of service Publix is known for.

One of the things I like best about Publix is that it's well supplied. Love the bogos. Usually prices are higher, but again. The idea is to be a smart shopper and take advantage of the bogos. I love that they keep it clean, staff is friendly. Overall a good place😉

One of the best publix market on FL. A lot of fresh products (fruits( service is very fast and the best subs they made here. On other places u have to wait more than 30-40 min to get sub made. Also as i can see cooked food is fresh. And also i love self checkout that they have

Google
They offered me great customer service. Now I wouldn't recommend this but as I was unaware, I showed up half an hour before closing and requested 2 dozen balloons, it took a while to have them blown up, but they moved quickly and were very professional about it.

A poorly run PUBLIX. I couldn’t find an item. I asked a man cleaning and he pointed to two people talking in the aisle and said they are managers ask them. I go and ask. They said they didn’t know. Oddly when you ask a person stocking they use their pocket device and they let you know if they carry it and where. SADLY they both shrugged their shoulders and said they didn’t know. When they moved, THERE WAS THE ITEM. Another customer shared… Can u imagine being at a car dealership and you ask- Do u sell cars? We both chuckled and moved on. When did Publix stop bagging your groceries. I wasn’t at self service. The store wasn’t busy. One wonders does Publix’s ever audit their store for consistency in management and service. But why do we comeback even if service is poor. Of course the sales. We have decided will only buy the items on sale and then move to another store. What has happened to southern Florida? It’s like service has stopped on the Atlantic once you leave the Jacksonville area. This store also has a disconnect on the their drugstore display. Oh well. And I forgot to put my number it. Asked for her to stop! No, nope, Nyet.

I definitely recommend to go to East publix and not this location customer service is terrible. I went to customer service to pay my FPL light bill stood in line for over 25 minutes and not to mention I got skip not once but twice. And reported it to the store manager and he told me it's nothing he can do about it so I told him it's okay I'll just go to another public. Standing so long I became hungry went to Deli to place an order and the line was long I was told one person is doing orders online and the other person was doing order for the people that's in line remind you it was six of us in line. Once again I reported it to the manager to help better sister customers The assistant manager in the manager for daily bakery said they was on break. More of the story I love the line because I was standing there too long over 20 to 30 minutes to get one sub half of stuff at that this place is always bad with customer service especially in a timely manner. Only reason why I go here sometime is because it's convenient like close to my house but after today no I refuse to come here and I hope someone and corporate or somewhere see this message because this is ridiculous not just me walked out of the lines over several other people there too

Don't mean to be that guy, but honestly; does anyone speak English in Florida? I was in this store for 5 minutes, and I felt like I was in another country. Don't get me wrong, great store, but like, wow. Even the cashier sounded like she was from South America or something.

Yelp
Publix has tanked. Stores r clean and remodeled. Prices r so high and helo is non existent. The deli has one slicer guy. They dont want to let u taste the cold cuts, comments like youve never tried turkey b4. The way the cust svc booth is set with the little barricades wasnt well thought out. Barely any cashiers. Its not worth it anymore. Oh and nobody can help i with the app

Yelp
The Deli is a mess. Once a week I place an on line order for deli meat. In the past 10 weeks, it has not been ready once. I have had countless talks with the deli manager and the store manager. Nothing has changed.

Yelp
Went to get some hard seltzer and I found what I was looking for...it was easy and painless. On my way to the checkout register, I saw this lady waiting in front of the belt, so I asked her if she was open...she said Yes but in a very short way. I placed my item on the belt and she got around to the register....She asked me "how are you doing"? But in a very ....not very happy way.... I said, Good Thank you.. One of the few Publix employees that I have encountered that are really unhappy and kind of miserable.... Cheer up Aleine !!! Otherwise, the store was clean and neatly organized.

Yelp
the publix was sketchy and dirty upon arrival We placed an online sub order at 8:30 pm for 9:30 pick up, upon arriving at 9:30 the deli employee informed us that they had no more chicken tenders at 8:30 and tried to call us multiple times. When I asked who tried to call us and showed them our phone log they started pointing a lot of fingers.  An employee named Bran was the most useless so I asked him if I could order new subs, (not chicken tenders since they advised us the chef who would make more left before 8:30), and he said "sure but i'd have to get all the toppings and vegetables back out", as if WE were inconveniencing him, please note the store doesn't close til 10 so he shouldn't have been putting things away.   We then asked for a deli manager who took 22 minutes to come meet us (the main customer service agent was extremely apologetic at the amount of time and called her multiple times stating she may be on break (30 minutes before close?)).  Taquesta eventually came out and was less than helpful advising that no, their chef did not leave at 8:30 so she's not sure why we were advised that but that the ticket probably didn't print til later... (should the chef not check all future tickets prior to leaving ? and why are we getting conflicting information?).  She was less than helpful and as its now 22 minutes after our pick up time because of her "break" her offer of making us new subs with "whatever we want was" useless, I'd already been guilted by the deli employee Bran to not make him take out more stuff and we did not want turkey subs (which was all she would offer us with an attitude that implied we'd be inconveniencing her as well if she had to get more tomatoes from the back) so we declined.  Overall the lack of responsibility and blatant lies and finger pointing between management and staff happening throughout the store was the most upsetting part when a simple "we don't have chicken tenders because our chef left early, would you like something else?" would have sufficed if any of them actually attempted to call us.

Yelp
Publix has become the leading name in the supermarket field here in the southeast. Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast, as well. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location and I give it five stars.

Yelp
If there was zero stars for a deli department I would give it and this is not my first experience. The place was sketchy and dirty upon arrival. Yelp
Today I bought this pizza at Publix as a quick cheap snack. My girlfriend and I are currently eating it and Agree this is the best box pizza we've ever had. And it was like 8 bucks. Publix brand. Good stuff Publix!

Yelp
This Publix produce department A, or meat department B customer service A pharmacy, and A+ deli department F customer service does not exist. Too many people standing around when customers need assistance or are they just ignore you. Worst deli department in the area. From a old publix employee Sam

Yelp
This is a decent Publix. It's clean. They have a good deli, produce section, and meat section. There's a lot of product and the shelves are always well stocked. Years ago, we used to go here almost every Sunday night for our groceries after we had dinner at Calypso across the street (before Calypso closed on weekends). It was a tradition. Then we noticed that some of the prices started to creep up. It's still a bit more expensive especially in their frozen food items, although quality is high. There are more expensive Publix stores (like the one on McNab and Federal Hwy.) so it pays to know what the right prices should be. When we stopped having dinner across the street, we started looking around for other supermarkets. We now go to Walmart which is much cheaper in their canned goods and frozen food items. However, Publix still is much better for produce and meat compared to Walmart. We still come to Publix when in the area -- it's quite convenient -- and to buy certain items -- boars head cold cuts in their deli, their produce, and meats when we can't go to a farmers market, Penn Dutch, or the Spanish market.

Yelp
Our local neighborhood grocery market with friendly associates. Today's errands were for some needed items. First stop was at the Lotto line to visit Ms Irene and cash in some scratch off winners ( a whopping $3 worth!) I also got another scratch off for my wife ($4 winner!) Next stop was at the deli for some of their delicious Boar's Head Top Round Roast beef. Looks great! Tomatoes, blackberries, mushrooms, Brie, Laughing cow aged cheddar, Orange juice and we were all set. A short wait in friendly Ms. Kisha's checkout line. She even spotted a manufacturer's coupon on the Brie for $2 off and applied it to our order. I used my Publix App to pay, after scanning their QR Code on screen and we received another $2 off our purchase ( $2 off $10 or more featured discounts this week). Check out completed with savings and a winning scratch off ticket to be revealed at home! Great trip!

Yelp
Don't come to this Publix if u plan on going to the deli. I ordered two subs online at 12 and had to wait until 1:40 for them to be ready. If I would just waited in the regular line I would of had it in no time. Additionally when we first got there we asked the lady on the right for help and she was unbelievably rude. As we stood there for 50 mins we saw both the ladies in the picture completely ignore every single person who walked up for cold cuts.

Yelp
I like this Publix, the cashiers have always been very nice, and very fast. I can get in and out pretty quickly. I think my main complaint about this location is the customers. For example, I went in today, and someone was literally drunk, passed out in their car, windows down, in one of the curbside pickup spots. There were several folks parked sideways in the parking lot taking up more than one spot. People left shopping carts wherever they wanted. There was a Publix employee scooping them up but the stray shopping cart situation was constant. I walked into the store and there was a guy who appeared drunk literally shouting at the deli folks about them taking too long with his order. He then demanded to speak to customer service, then a manager. I could go on and on about the customers at this location. There is always some kind of drama at this location and I am too old for drama. Of course, this is not the fault of Publix, just an awful nuisance whenever I come to this location. It's like this location attracts every drunk a-hole in the area. I am not sure how someone would work here. I keep coming back to this location though mainly for the pharmacy. Here's my review of their pharmacy: Like the previous poster, I have had great experiences at this pharmacy! So, I have been a customer of various Walgreens pharmacies for as long as I can remember. I have had nothing but absolutely horrible experiences with their pharmacies and really just thought that's how all pharmacies operate. I thought things at Walgreens could not get any worse. I was wrong, so very wrong.. I recently moved from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale and requested a transfer of my prescription for birth control to my new local Walgreens. They said that they could not refill the prescription because my doctor had written the prescription incorrectly, different from previous prescriptions. Say what? It was a refill. Once they got it sorted, then they said they were out of the birth control and it would take time to come in, a nationwide shortage. Say what? Then once it arrived, they said the manufacturer's coupon that I always use had expired. Say what? It's not. Needless to say, for one reason or another, I was off of birth control for three weeks! I called CVS and Target and even other Publix pharmacies and got other excuses as to why my prescription could not be filled. Fast forward to my calling this pharmacy and hearing the voice of an angel, "Publix Pharmacy, Technician Mark speaking." I explained my story to him, and I think he sensed my absolute frustration with the incompetence over at Walgreens. He told me immediately he had the drug in stock and asked me which Walgreens had my prescription and manufacturer coupon information. I told him. He said his computer found my insurance information; I did not have to give him any insurance information. my prescription was ready in a couple hours! Mark accomplished something in a couple hours that it had taken Walgreens three weeks and probably counting, I am pretty sure I would still be waiting on that prescription. Based on that amazing experience, I transferred all of my prescriptions to this pharmacy. I have always been so pleased with the customer service here. Pharmacist Gary is also super helpful and kind. He always greets me warmly and is happy to answer any questions I may have regarding the medication, possible side effects, etc. Gary and Mark should win an award for customer service excellence! Keep up the good work guys!

Yelp
I thought I would save money and buy a cheese that was on sale but Marie was so kind to give me a sample. Turns out, I didn't like it. Had I purchased it instead of my usual, I probably would not have eaten it. Thank you Marie for your simple act of kindness. Publix is lucky to have you. Oh and I didn't ask for the sample, I originally asked for the cheese I usually buy but then changed my mind when I saw a different one on sale. That means she paid attention and wanted to make sure I liked it. What a sweetheart.

Ronald B.

Yelp
Third in line at the deli, took thirty minutes to get a sub. Absolutely crazy. Taquesta just sat in her office and was no help. Had five people behind the wall packaging pre made salads, horrible use of their time when the sub line was 8 people deep. Tay the sub maker was doing her best but man they need to get their shit together. Maybe hire better, faster help that doesn't sit around laughing and shooting the shit in another language. Also just watched some fat chick eating wings while at the deli counter, real classy. I'll be going to the Publix 5 minutes away on Mcnab from now on, better employees, better customer crowd and better customer service. I'd give this place zero stars if possible. Only thing this place is good for is the people watching, between the homeless out front begging for dollars and the teenage thugs with their underwear showing getting free cookies from the Indian girl at the bakery, laughable.
google avatar

Paul B.

Yelp
Be careful ordering sandwiches online from this store. Order a hour in advance, get there 10 mins after it's meant to be ready only to find out that they didn't even get to the order yet. Useless
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
Now I can go on and on about what a pleasure it is shopping at Publix, so I'll use my words wisely. Shop smart and stock up. Unless you're a coupon cutter and splurge hours on snipping pennysavers and live near a rinkydink grocery store, no one has the same level of service as Publix...but you pay a premium. Therefore, shop smart. Also, get a free cookie EVERYTIME you walk in. They try to say you have to be 12 or under but they're lying to keep all the cookies for themselves. PubSubs are a g-d send. Amen. Shop local too if you can!
google avatar

Marqus R.

Yelp
To paraphrase Gertrude Stein's "Sacred Emily," a Publix is a Publix is a Publix. That is for the most part but not all of the time. Every now and then one might come across one with a slight quirk that either sets it apart from the others or makes it different, such as the larger more well stock flagship Publix on 17th Causeway or Wilton Manor's Publix with its near carnival like atmosphere of fruit squeezing gay shoppers. This particular Publix is pretty much the same as the rest except that I couldn't help but note some rather different items as well as more of them than I've seen in stock elsewhere. Specifically, I haven't before come across a Publix stocked with so many packets of sliced beef hearts, kidneys or such a large wide ranging selection of package smoked turkey parts. Other than that, very much the same as any other Publix, but because of this slight difference, I thought worthy to note in a review.
google avatar

Rick M.

Yelp
"Where shopping is a pleasure"? Then why do I more often than not need to drive to another Publix? The simplest of things like packaged almond milk, sliced mozzarella, and even Q-Tips are usually a challenge. Then throw in the staff basically shutting down aisles so they can restock shelves in the middle of the day. With all the mid day stocking going on you'd think everything would always be in stock. And yet, strangely enough, it's not. Problem, there's no completion, Whole Foods, Wal-Mart and Aldi are not completion. In the Midwest there's Hy Vee, Deirburgs, Schnucks, in Texas there's HEB, Randles, Tom Thumb. All of which are in the same areas competing for business and providing a first class experience. I have yet to walk into a Publix here in S. FL that can even come close to any of the above listed! Complaining like this on Yelp will yield nothing, and I am aware. It's like complaining to an airline, they're not suddenly going to change because some guy pointed out their flaws. I'm just frustrated with the selection and quality here and today, like many other days required me to drive to another store for basic items. Maybe one day another grocery chain will show up, but if it hasn't happened by now, it most likely will never happen, not to mention there's zero space for them to build, but I digress.

Yelp

Yelp
Limited produce options. No organic blueberries, no organic or non organic nectarines, no organic or non organic peaches.

Yelp
Stopped here to pick up flowers for the funeral I was attending. I got 2 dozen white roses for $40 it was definitely a good deal and that also included the price of the vases because I didn't have any vases on hand when I bought the flowers so I had to buy vases is there at publix. A gentleman from the produce department helped cut the stems of the roses so that they would fit nicely in the vase and also gave me some free baby's breath at no charge that I added in with the flowers, I would have to say they were 2 very nice flower arrangements and we're very inexpensive. Not hard to find on South cypress road also called Southwest 18th Avenue Publix is located between Atlantic boulevard to mcnab road on the West hand side. It's an older Publix but it certainly doesn't feel older they keep it nice they keep it clean and all of the staff is helpful and friendly.

Yelp
I shop at this Publix all the time all of the employees are very helpful and the deli department is always on point just want to give you some kudos wait... And the prices are always very comparable And I always have no problem looking and finding what I need

Yelp
I love my local publix. They always have the best service, they have great BOGOS, and they treat you like family. This store is a very family type grocer while still offering the great benefits for being a publix.

Yelp
Normally I wouldn't bother with reviewing another Publix besides my "home" location, but I got such amazing service today at this one that I have to give credit where it's due. I have been looking EVERYWHERE for VitaTops (they are a like a low-fat muffin top... Weight Watchers friendly!), and their site says several Publix stores near me carry them. I went to two other stores (including my usual one in Lighthouse Point) with no luck, so I figured I'd try this store while getting a sub for lunch. I noticed the assistant store manager, Azanys (thank you, nametag!) was making my sub, so I asked her. She left the deli counter to help me look. She then asked one of the workers stocking the shelves to look on his hand-held device, while she went to the computer in the front to look as well. The guy had no luck, but she came and found me to show me the computer. She was ready to place a special order for me, but then noticed they did in fact have them in the store... in the freezer section! So she went over there with me to make sure there were there. I've never seen someone go so out of their way to help me find something! I was very impressed, so they're getting five stars from me :)

Yelp
At the luncheon meat slicing deli area, you get a slice of each meat selection you order to taste. I guess it's to remind you what fresh thinnly sliced ham tastes like. Mmm, fresh thinnly sliced ham. We had a nice little snack without even leaving the store. Go Boar's Head.

Yelp
The manager I had the pleaser of talking to was Manny & let me tell you he was so kind & so respectful . He helped me while i was in the store with my 3 crying kids by myself . Most people just look at us crazy but manny took his time & really helped me out. So THANK YOU MANNY & Publix .

Kristy M.

Yelp
I go to this publix all the time today has to have been my worst experience EVER!! I got to the sub line at 3:00 2 people already being helped and 1 person in front of me I didn't leave that counter til 3:30 that is totally ridiculous and they didn't have the type of sub I wanted. How hard is it to make a sandwich

James H.

Yelp
So I took a quick trip to this Publix to get something to eat and I was very impressed with the deli service. I ordered a sandwich online ahead of time and got to the store about 5 minutes early and when I got to the deli my sandwich was there. This may not seem like a big deal but I can tell you that this not always my experience when going to some Publixes where they wait for you to arrive to start making your sandwich. In today's age where simple tasks are not completed, I appreciate this Publix sticking to what they promised.

Martha H.

Yelp
I gave the store a call to check if they carried a product I used get at a different Publix in a different city I called deli No answer Called the bakery No answer So it went straight to Customer service I spoke with 3 different people The first one said let me go check (2 minutes later I could still hear her in the back speaking 2nd person picks up says the same thing A minute later A 3rd person picks you... I told him I was already being helped Leaves the phone on the desk and a few seconds later he hooks the line Knowing it was going to be a difficult for them I started to drive to store I called back because it was rude for a company that prides it's self with the best customer service in the industry ... So the lady that answered the first time picked up again and she recognized my voice She said "yes let go check for you " Like it's been like 10 minutes already and you still haven't gone and checked?!?!?!?!!? I didn't say much I just said thank you and hanged up the phone..... sooo i went about asking for a Publix product and they didn't know what I was talking about and the bakery manager asked me "how you make that" (with an awkward smile and a slight head nod while blinking very slow) so I requested a platter book to show him what I wanted he said customer service desk will have them Okay so I go over to customer service and they have no idea what the book looks like or if they have any they were completely lost completely!!! If I had said what's 1+1 they probably wouldn't know how to answer So I walked out and decided to contact corporate just to see if they could carry/make the product I was looking for This happed on 01/22/19 till today 02/08/19 I have not heard from anybody All I wanted was a yes or no on a product

Yelp
Normally you guys are a great company, but just today, May 17, I had a very very disappointing interaction at your store. My sons 1st birthday is May 18 and I came in to purchase a cake and have a cake topper put on the cake. I was refused service because the cake topper, Boss Baby, which comes from a company that is permitted to sell these type of cake toppers, was not able to be put on top of the cake due to, what they say is, copyright of the movie. I have brought many different cake toppers to your stores over the years and never have been refused service for something like this. Cake toppers like Superman, Spider-Man, Disney's Cars, Disney's Frozen, etc.. I even questioned them on the book of different copyrighted specialty cakes and they said it was because your store pays for the rights to use them which I know is bogus. When asked to see this new rule they couldn't and wouldn't show it to me. All they would say was they saw it on a video that corporate sent them. I will be letting all my friends, that buy specialty cakes for their kids birthdays know to never purchase from your store ever again. There are to many stores out there that will gladly do it and take my money. Good luck in the future with your copyright garbage.

Yelp
This store has went downhill and I don't think it's even worth my review it's a shame the people that have been put in charge don't really try and make it a better store because it could be a good Publix the fuck the pharmacy as well as the cake decorating everything he got bakers in there and you train them to be bakers I know the fundamentals we could actually put good products out and you could make good money but the fundamentals are important Which in the long run with Bing bring money into Publix which I think is the positive and I think that it's a it's a good deal I mean really good business deal I mean you think of the long-term mean you want people to be happy when your employees to be happy you have to make them happy and her to get with in a long-term what you want what satisfied and fully satisfied with what work for you hard that's and do good jobbut also that means pay raises two good luck and I wish you the best I hope your business flourishes

Yelp
I'm a regular at this publix and almost every department of this publix is very accommodating to the customers needs, with very friendly service. However, the reason I awarded them 3 stars instead of 5 stars is due to the ladies in the deli department. Marleine (excuse my spelling) was extremely rude to me today and blatantly ignored my requests for how I would like to have my sub made. The only way for me to get her to stop blatantly ignoring me was to repeat the question 5 times and have her snap at me and tell me to "be patient". Even though she was purposely ignoring me and completely disregarding my requests. I won't bore you with the details but it was one of the most disrespectful and rude encounters I've ever dealt with and this isn't the first time I've felt this way while getting a sandwich there. Oh well, at least they're consistent in how shitty they are.

Yelp
Very friendly and helpful staff. Much better than many other Publix stores. Easy in and out parking. A little further from my home than the nearest Publix, but well worth the trip.

Yelp
Oh where to start...don't they offer a 1/4 star rating? This is the worst Publix in the country! Employees avoid customers; food expiration dates are continuously past their suggested dates; a different Pharmacist on every visit; smokers outside the front door adding to the filthy ambience; deli workers who where the gloves to protect themselves and touch buttons, door handles and other contaminated surfaces while cutting your products...shall I say more? Need I say more? Making it look good, but the root problems are systemic and need a wipe of the personnel and managers... With 3 Publix stores within a 2 mile radius, it is amazing that they have so many out of stock products, so little variance of products and the fact that one product may be in one store this week and another store, next week. It is very difficult to shop. Publix must not care about Pompano Beach so why do we continue to spend our money there??? They clearly, however, set safe harbor for the homeless to loiter, beg, smoke and steal. Publix, where shopping is not a pleasure!

Yelp
This is not directed to any one Publix in particular. I am just totally disgusted with the pricing they have on seafood. Yes, the people are very nice. Yes, they have some great deals on items occasionally. But their seafood pricing has gone whackadoodle. I called on Friday to check on Stone Crabs which have been in season almost two weeks. The lady tells me she just got a whole 2.5 pounds, not 250, not 25, but 2.5 pounds in that morning and they were priced at 25.95 a pound. Now I know Stones are silly money this year. But why cannot Publix use it's wholesale buying power to give their loyal customers a better deal? I mean, how can a small seafood retailer, Pops Fish Market in Deerfield Beach, sell them for 4 dollars a pound less than Publix? Even when we are at our other home in western N.C., up in the mountains, and shopping at the local chain called Ingels, they price Florida seafood about the same as Publix. Well, I really hate driving to different stores for groceries. And I will continue to shop at Publix because WalMart sucks and we do not have a decent Winn Dixie down here anymore. But I am done with their overpriced seafood. From now on I will go to the smaller retailers or just go on a road trip down to the Keys and buy in bulk.
