We’re Back to Drinking Hard Lemonades - Eater

"Coca-Cola announced today that it’s launching, in partnership with Molson Coors, Simply Spiked Lemonade, which by definition, is not simply lemonade. And while it’s hopping on the hard seltzer trend, it’s also definitively not a hard seltzer. “This is a completely different proposition,” the VP of innovation for Molson Coords told Food Business News." - Jaya Saxena

Just had the BEST trip to Publix! The staff was super friendly—shoutout to the wonderful lady at the deli (around 1:32 PM yesterday) who helped me. She gave me so much helpful info I didn’t even know! Also, a big thanks to the guy at checkout who told me to have a great day on my way out. Little things like that make Publix feel like home.

I went in while visiting the area for a few quick things and was very pleased. The service and selection that I found was what I have come to expect from Publix. We were able to get a couple of single serving desserts and the few things that were on our list quickly. The store is clean, well organized and well lit. The prices are in line with what you would expect to pay. The check out process was quick and easy. Would highly recommend and will be back when in the area visiting.

Went in later in the evening not expecting much and met April, who made our sandwiches at the Deli. Such a sweet, caring woman… really made us feel like we were the only people in the busy store. Outstanding customer service & she went above and beyond for us. Will definitely be coming to this location more often. So many other stores closer to us but this Publix is worth the longer drive from our home.

Google
I shop at this Publix location weekly and consistently have a great experience. The customer service is always excellent, and the shelves are usually well-stocked whenever items are available. The store is clean, including the bathrooms, which are well-maintained most of the time. Checkout is also a breeze — the lines move quickly and efficiently. The only area I believe could use some improvement is the deli and hot food section. It’s always busy, and the process for ordering can feel a bit chaotic. Implementing a better system — such as a clear line with signage or a ticket number system — might help both customers and staff feel less overwhelmed. Despite that, this location continues to be my go-to, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in the area!

Google
Publix you need to do better!!!! There needs to be a better emergency plan if you’re trapped in the elevator!!! Be careful at this Publix. My daughter was strapped in one of the elevators for over 30 minutes. The emergency call button did not work. It was only by God that the elevator just happened to open. My daughter is a diabetic so this could have easily went bad with no ventilation. She could not get any phone service. She did reported it to Publix.

If only I could give zero or negative zero stars!!! I bought a $20 fruit plate but couldn't pick it up at the appointed time. When I was finally able to, the manager refused to honor the fact that I had already paid for it, or refund me the $23 I paid (including tax). He literally said he *saw* where*somebody* had already picked it up so that was that and too bad for me, like I was trying to steal a $20 fruit plate!!! Now get this: two weeks prior my company paid over $1,000 for catering at this same location, yet he couldn't give me what I paid for or refund me $23!! How petty!! From now on my company and my family will take our food/catering business elsewhere.

Google
I love Publix. I especially go there for the salad bar. Where you build your own salad, but you could also have them to make your salad your way. The hot bar is nice also. The food is always fresh, and the associates are always ready to assist. The store is always very neat and clean.

**BUYER BEWARE -- DO NOT ORDER YOUR WEDDING CAKE FROM HERE!!** I was thrilled to learn that publix catering does wedding cakes and couldnt wait to have them bring my vision to life. I provided a picture of what I was looking for and minus some of the detailed writing on the cake the baker said she could absolutely match the picture. Top tier pink, middle plain white, bottom air brushed to match the photo. I placed the order, provided the deposit and was told the final payment would be collected closer to the wedding day. I did go in the store 2 weeks prior and spoke to a gentlemen at catering who again confirmed my order and told me I would be contacted 7 days prior for final payment. I was contacted 5 days before, made the payment and patiently waited for the big day to arrive. Imagine my horror when during the first dance with my husband I finally got to see that they cake that was being displayed to my guests looked more like a science project gone wrong than the cake of my dreams. The more I looked at it the more upset and embarrassed I became. I actually asked to have it removed immediately. I did call publix after the wedding and the best they could do was provide a partial refund. While I appreciate the gesture, there is nothing that can be done to remove the bad taste in my mouth from that experience. I will warn any and everyone to NOT order their wedding cakes from publix because there is just no telling what youre going to end up with. (Photos included, i'm sure I dont have to tell you which is which).

Yelp
I love Publix, but considering one of the main reasons people come here is due to subs, I cannot recommend this location. I have gone to this Publix to order subs probably over 10 times in the past year, and almost every single time I'm left frustrated and disappointed. If you plan to place an order for a sub at this location, plan on waiting in line for over 20 minutes just to order. Unfortunately you can tell the the employees don't care about going as quickly as possible or feel apologetic for how long it takes, which really sucks. I would understand if this was once or twice, but I have never been to this Publix to order a sub and received my sub within 15 minutes- ever. This is very frustrating considering this is the only location that seems to have this issue consistently, and I really hope management works on improving this considering subs are a staple for Publix.
google avatar

Ian M.

Yelp
First off, it is expensive to eat in South End. Working in this area really limits any chance of finding something affordable unless you eat from home. PubSubs are the best!!! You can get a big sub, chips and a drink under $10. You can get a ton of different sides on the cheap as well. Service can be crazy slow at lunch as everyone knows this is the place to eat on a budget so come early or order online. Online ordering is a 80/20 thing. 80% of the time your order will be missing something. It's a grocery store. So ambiance is grocery store.

Yelp
Back again to say how unbelievably bad this deli is ran. Not even worth trying to order from here. Like clockwork they are late for online orders and just have no sense of urgency for the 40 people waiting. Taking my money to Harris Teeter for now on.
google avatar

Natalie P.

Yelp
Publix is better than Harris in my opinion. The produce is fresher and more vast. It is more spacious, less crowded, and has great covered parking. I came to this store in search of baking materials. Easily found and even had an employee help me find a specific kind of flour. All employees seem friendly and greet you. Reason for 4 stars is that this location has a small dairy/cheese section compared to other stores.

Yelp
There are a few spots in Charlotte that are severely missing on supermarkets and this part of South End was one of them. Or at least it became one after the nearby Healthy Home Market shut down. Two underground parking levels that are well lit with no places for bad people to hide. I know, because I was here at 10:30 PM and was the only car in the upper garage. Nothing about. Four (five?) large elevators to get to the store level, which has street entrances too. Inside the store, it's the same high quality that we Charlotteans have come to expect from this supermarket chain. Wide aisles, bright lights, well stocked shelves, and shopping carts that work. Oh, and don't forget their fab produce, bakery and meat departments. Yep, Publix rocks. And it's giving Harris Teeter a good run for it. [ABOVE IS MY REVIEW FROM 7/5/2015 THAT YELP IS INCAPABLE OF RESTORING FROM THEIR MISTAKE. - See https://www.yelp.com/biz/publix-pharmacy-charlotte-4?hrid=Afv3VQ3ci_qBAgtKLnISOg] [Review 16156 overall - 3142 in North Carolina - 1662 of 2021.]

Yelp
Ordered online for my sandwich to be ready at 6:45pm. Not only was it 25 minutes past 6:45 when I got my sandwich, but I specified "extra ranch" and got no ranch on my sandwich. I understand being busy, but this is the 4th or 5th time I have had a negative experience here.

Karen H.

Yelp
I absolutely Love the Southend store. All employees are always so friendly and courteous. The store is always clean and easy to navigate. The produce is always fresh, and choices of prime meat selection is wonderful. Yesterday I went through check out at Harris Teeter in uptown Charlotte and was going to get 20 bucks back in cash. I was prompted with a notice that there was now a $.75 fee. This is the first I've ever seen of a grocery store doing this. HT's focus on customer service is zero, instead more profits. The employees I talk to confirm this on employee relations too. Thank you Publix for being so customer focused and always offering the best service and freshiest food option! Keep up the great work!

Yelp
Anneliese was terrible, first off this one woman at a register was rude, told me to get out of the store because I talked back to her, I was then transferred to customer service to get rung up because I had 100$ worth of groceries in my cart. Anneliese was interrogating me, telling me if I could just "shut my mouth please" and stop talking about the experience, she then deliberately rung my stuff up slower and slower when I was explaining I wanna leave after having the lady at the register still talk about me loudly and interrogating me. Anneliese told me I'm just crazy and that's why I'm being treated this way, as I left, one of the other employees was trying to run up on me to my car, taking her employee shirt off and implying that she's off the clock to fight me. She was then beckoned back from the manager and he told me she wasn't going to hurt me, yet she was putting her hands up and waiting for me to put the cart back, I didn't even wanna go near her, whole place is ludicrous
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
High quality but pricey. Decent selections. I hate any 0lace where I hace to park in a parking garage but atleast you can always find a space. The elevators from the garage are the largest I have ever seen so no issues getting a cart into it.

Yelp
I love Publix! This location is one of the newer ones and very accessible, being located on South Blvd in SouthEnd. The store is always very clean and stocked with numerous items that you may be looking for. You can get everything needed and more at this store, similar to others. The produce, meats, seafood, etc is all fresh as well, which is great. Parking garage is located under the Publix, providing 2 levels of available parking. Elevators are available as well. Staff is always friendly and assist however they can. Definitely visit this store!

Yelp
I'm from Texas, so HEB is my benchmark for what an awesome grocery store should be. (I miss you, HEB!) What I like about this Publix (South End location) is the parking garage! Rain or shine, you can park inside where you are protected from the blaring heat, cold, rain, etc. This store is clean and the produce section is good. I avoid the deli area because I have been overlooked/ignored in the past when I was waiting for deli meat and cheese. The prices here are higher than average, but less expensive than Harris Teeter. The quality of the food is way better than Food Lion (where I have seen moldy lunch meat in the deli case).

Yelp
I am totally hooked on their home meal replacement stuffed chicken and pork with fresh veggies. They come in a foil container and take like 35 to 40 minutes and cost $7.50. Eat well and for a couple of dollars more that a tv dinner

Yelp
This was my go to supermarket in Charlotte. Three reasons why: 1. Variety / Selection ... whatever you need, they've got it! From produce to tailgate essentials 2. Quality ... Fresh produce and meats. The hot bar options are top notch too. 3. Pricing ... prices are fair. yes, some items are cheaper elsewhere but you'd have to do some cost analysis on shopping all over town versus a one stop shop for all your grocery needs.
google avatar

Yelp
This Publix always has everything in stock that I need. They carry international items that aren't typical in American grocery stores like Lee Kim Kee sriracha mayo. They could use some more organic produce options, but they do have a little section with fresh veggies and herbs. Their parking garage is easy with the giant elevators for your buggy. I wish they did a better job of keeping the pickup-only parking spots out front open for people actually picking up groceries. By the way, you can use Instacart and do free pickup at this location. The Instacart shoppers inside can kind of be rude, so just try to stay out of their way. Other than those small things, it's a solid grocery store that I'll continue to frequent! The employees are top notch and always looking to help!

Connor R.

Yelp
I went her very hungry and somewhat lost when Adam asked what I was looking for and I said eggs. Adam goodly showed me the section of eggs. I was surprised to see that they came in packs of 6,12,24,36,48, in boxes, and jugs and pre cooked. I have never seen anything like it and was happer. Thank you Adam I hope you promotes!

Yelp
I, too, have come to like Publix for all the reasons mentioned, especially in Amber M's review. Running down S Blvd during evening commute makes stopping a breeze. I love their parking deck (unlike Trader Joe's which should have a sign posted, "Entering the Gates of Hell"). The store is laid out well with attention given to aisle contention. Check out is snappy and friendly. I especially like they'll offer to carry your groceries to your car. I'm a pretty big guy who can tote my own bags; however, I recently had surgery with a 15 pound lift limit. It was nice to have an older gentleman understand my dilemma and happily help me out. Publix offers some stout competition to our area players.

Yelp
I love publix. Let's be honest it's a great grocery store. I love that they have weekly bogos. Their bakery item are always my favorite, this is where I buy all our family birthday cakes! They taste so good, cake and icing. Produce always looks fresh! You can get fresh subs made. My favorite item from the deli section is their chicken salad, with boars head brand chicken. Soooo good. If you have kids...they have a cookie club, they can get a cookie each trip. At checkout they will give you coloring sheets and sticker if you ask, sometimes even if you don't. They are very polite, they offer to help you to your car after checkout. To load groceries. If you allow them to do this, they usually give you a coupon to use in store, options vary.

Yelp
I came here for a sandwich on my day off. Sandwich was good. The guy who made my sandwich was very rude and dry. His customer service suck!! He never offered me any add on for a combo. The lady at customer service when I was checking out saved me a dollar
google avatar

Marni Jane V.

Yelp
Publix has amazing customer service. There is always someone available to help and their knowledge of their inventory is impressive. Publix really has everything I need. Watch out for traffic in this area, but it's worth it. if you're short on time they also have online ordering and curbside pickup/delivery.
google avatar

Charles C.

Yelp
What has happened to this Publix. It's like they have no management whatsoever. I've only been here for a little while and it's a huge Deterioration. Went in last night with one register open. Most of the people who shop here are not shopping for themselves. Insta whatever. Figure out a way to accommodate all. This is the future Publix. You have 8 or more registers sitting idle. I never get a hello anymore. After only 4 months. This used to be an easy place to shop. Southline Publix is no longer a pleasure.
google avatar

Yelp
Your good neighborhood grocery store. This publix is across the parking lot from my office building, so I go here a lot. Not my home-based grocery store, but in a time pinch, gets me the stuff I need. I usually go here to get lunch or the occasional festive cake for a coworker's BDay. Store is always super clean and stocked. Even during the "hurricane, get-ya-milk-n-bread" scare. This is something new I experienced since i moved to the South, people stocking up on these two essentials during inclement weather (including 1/2 inch of snow) I am a new yorker, if the trains are running in 1foot of snow, you get your butt to work. Anyways, it's always stocked, had to get fresh flowers once for an impromptu wedding and made a cute bouquet and boutonnieres (my mama would be proud!). For lunch I would either get something of their pre-packaged salads or their chicken tender tray. Haven't tried their sandwiches personally, but my coworker often does, they serve boar's head! Their soups are also great and rotate them around. You can also always snag a free tasting treat. I see someone making free samples all the time, any-time i go there. The parking garage gets kinda crazy on the upper deck. construction traffic of the new building going up next door and then people zooming into it from the main street. SLOW DOWN PEOPLE! Also the elevator is kinda confusing Upper deck p2 is the top floor of the parking garage and lower deck p1 is the underground portion. but your intuition is to think 1 level i below store level is P1 and 2 levels below store level is P2....but maybe it's just me.

Yelp
Jordan is my hero. I came in specifically for ramen and it wasn't on the shelf but he went and checked the back for me and brought out a whole case. Love him

Baxter C.

Yelp
Such a change from Harris Teeter. Publix is the best. Friendly employees, great selection and the best ambiance and customer service by far. I'm a Publix person now!

Yelp
This review is for the self checkout machine and service. Since there was only one guy ringing up the groceries we went over self- checkout. That was a big mistake. We were very patient trying to work with the self checkout machine. Maybe it was having a bad hair day with all the fog outside. Tip- produce is very difficult with these machines. Especially when there is no code. As the machine ask you to bag item it will not allow you to scan nor go through screen to punch codes. You will spend more time looking for code on produce and then leave item to be weigh in. Minus well stick with going on the line with a live person ringing you up. If you got bar code on all your items then go through self checkout machine. If you bag item and put in cart and not ready to pay then machine will persistantly say bag items and not let you continue. We rang for call attendant. No one came. Guy right adjacent stocking stuff away just looked and did not assist nor call for someone and just kept stocking items on shelf. Rang call attendent after a while after putting unscannable item on the side. No body showed up. Another guy in striped shirt, just passed by pay no mind to nobody and just focused on himself. Finally, had to go flag someone down. Been to Harris Teeter across the street and had no issues with getting help from staff with using their Self Check Out. What's up with Publix? Will not be using Self Check Out here no more and stick with live people on the cash register.

T S.

Yelp
Went to the Deli and they didn't have not 1 rotisserie. The wait was 45 minutes long for 1. So I got chicken strips instead. The guy (Jarmes) was very rude and when I told him I wanted ranch from back there he got an attitude and said he would have to charge me. I said do whatever you need to do. He said he would charge me for ranch for 2 chicken strips. Beyond petty. I've never been charged before. Seems like he was just doing the most and normally I would recommend this location but I'm very keen on customer svc so I won't be going back again.

Yelp
Ordered a white two tier cake for the grad party of my twin boys and was surprised to see the pink cake when I went to pick it up.This is not the first time this is happening. An year ago I ordered a cake for a birthday and when I went to pick it they forgot to make the cake. Please be careful when ordering cake from Publix. They are known for messing up the party when it comes to cake.

Yelp
I'm addicted to the subs here! You can't beat a good sub with great customer service!! My favorite is the holiday special "Turkey Cranberry!

Yelp
Came in wanting mardi gras wings as only publix sales....I ordered the 10 wings so I can have lunch for a couple days at work. when I went to prepare my lunch the next day for work I noticed that I was 2 short. I called and let the manager know. they apologized and asked me if I can come in to get my order fixed. I've been let down in the past about the offering of mardi gras wings as they say they don't offer it daily. I asked the manager "do I need to call before I come to have my order fixed to make sure that you have them?" he proceeds to say "yes, you have to make sure that we have thathere or you can just get whatever else or wings you want any other time..." um no thank you sir I want what I paid for. you don't have it available just give me my money back... not an option... doesn't sound like the publix that advertises about customer service.

Yelp
Very awful experience, I usually love shopping at Publix, but this experience ruined it for me for a while. All 3 of the employees that were there during my checkout were very disrespectful. To begin with I proceeded to self checkout because I only had like 15 items just in a larger cart because I had my 18 month with me. I was then told I needed to go to a normal register very aggressively, I said I'm okay I'd rather do this my way, she then grabs my cart with my baby in it and pushes it to a regular check out, I bit my tongue and continued, now this cashier Michelle" didn't speak to me , didn't even look my way, had an attitude the entire time , then my card declined because I entered the wrong PIN, she then screamed that my card was declined. I told her I did the wrong pin and I'll do it again. After my transaction was complete she handed me my receipt and didn't say anything. So with that being said the hospitality was awful and careless!

Yelp
I'm not sure what is going on with the South Blvd location but it is slipping fast. I have been shopping here since I moved to the area. It's not the cheapest by any means but their customer service as made up for it in the past. I used their online service last week and the produce selections were not worth eating. I choose to go back to shopping in store this evening. That may have been my last time there. I stood within a couple feet of a stocker in the produce without being greeted. The final straw was when I went to the checkout, there was only one register open with no bagger. After waiting in line for nearly 10 minutes. I got out of line and left my cart with a lady who was just talking to a male coworker. If I wanted to be ignored like that I would go to Walmart or Aldi's where I would at least invest less money.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
The meat is always over saturated with the red dye. No meat counter is naturally that bright red and such an even color. I went against my better judgement and yried some and my stomach couldn't handle it. Cloying and unnatural tasting. But I still like how tye store is organized. And they have products HT doesn't carry. So I still come back occasionally for a different perspective.
google avatar

Carolyn L.

Yelp
Not many bad things I can say about any of the Publix's I have visited. With that being said. This is no different! Located really close to my job on the busy side of Southend. I swear they have everything. A fresh gelato/pizza bar, their bakery is alway rolling out something fresh. Somebody is away on standby to make you a fresh sub. Yes the sub maker are slow but fresh. Their produce is alway stocked beautifully. When you buy small or big amount of groceries, staffs are more than willing to help take yours to your car and not accepting your tips.. what more can you ask for. If that doesn't make you come back, I don't know what will!
google avatar

Court W.

Yelp
Love our local Southend Publix! Always have the freshest produce and the finest selection. Sometimes on the weekends they even have free, delicious samples they offer up as you're wandering the aisles. Great selection of beer and wine and did I mention the staff is always super friendly? Every time I walk in I am greeted with a hello, good morning/evening, how are you and how can I help? Pretty much the icing on the cake (no pun intended) for me and my grocery shopping experience. I was always a CVS girl but I even recently switched to Publix Pharmacy as I can now knock out my grocery shopping and prescription pick up all in one -- talk about a busy girl's dream. They're always quick, efficient and helpful and thats about all anyone wants when getting their pharmacy run done! Just this past Easter Sunday on our way out we were handed free Lily's and thanked for shopping at Publix on our way out. Talk about ADORABLE. These people got me hooked and I don't have plan to venture anywhere else! #TeamPublix

Yelp
Stopped in this location today 7/31/19. No one at the check out counter AGAIN!! One employee pointed out that I was standing there waiting and it still took several minutes for them to stop talking and come over to ring me up. A manager walked by also and said or did nothing while I stood at a register leaning on the banister. The customer service at this Publix has been horrible. ‍

Yelp
Coming from Florida, Publix is a way of life. So when I moved to Charlotte a few months ago, I was happy they have locations close by. The actual store is very nice and mostly has what I need, but it is smaller than most locations (in Florida). Parking is easy with the garage below and I have always found a spot close to the elevators. The staff are very nice and apologize for the wait in line each time, but every time I go there (which has been different times of day and dofferent days), I prepare myself to either 1. Wait in line for at least 10-15 minutes to check out with a cashier or 2. Go through the self check-out and take extra time myself to scan and pack everything. I love Publix and hope they get the understaffing of cashiers fixed.
google avatar

Carol R.

Yelp
My local grocery store. Meat and seafood options are always fresh. Happy with the produce selection as well. If you stick to the sales for the week, you'll come out cheaper than HT.
google avatar

Lameka S.

Yelp
I love shopping at publix because the employees are super friendly and extremely helpful. The store is always clean and a perk for shopping here is the baggers help you out to your car. I usually decline the help but the offer is nice. The prices seem a lil higher than usual but I'd rather pay for great service!!

Yelp
After much agonizing anticipation, the Publix in Southend is finally open! I avoided the opening weekend crowd and checked it out on a low key Monday evening. Definitely worth the wait. I was a little skeptical about parking under the store, but the spaces are super wide and negotiable... Granted it wasn't super busy but the lot seemed full and there were plenty of space between each car!!! Unlike some other parking garages in town... Cough, cough... metropolitan were it seems like more of a death trap to go to Trader Joes and Best Buy but I digress. There are two levels of parking and four ginormous elevators. I guess so you and your buggy can make it down to the car with probably 10 other people and their buggies. What I was happy to see was plenty of bike racks so it just makes me want to ride my bike to get groceries instead of driving. The store itself, granted new, was super clean and I got a little lost... But I will learn it all in good time. Produce was on point, from what I saw from the bakery it looked fairly good as well. They do subs and some prepared foods so I will have to check it out to see how they stack up, but it looks solid. Staff was super nice and were pretty helpful. The u-scan person wasn't glaring at me like some other places, but it may just be the "new store effect" but hopefully not. A great addition to the Southend neighborhood!

Yelp
After looking forward to Publix opening just down the street from me I could not pass checking it out Opening Weekend! It was a rainy down, however, a two story parking deck allows customers to avoid any rain when walking into the store and even better when you are loading your car with your grocery bags. Definite bonus in my book. The deck is newly constructed and offers very large spaces and multiple elevators to take to the store entrance. Upon arriving on the store level entrance I was greeted by multiple Publix employees, everyone with a smile on their face. Having been to other locations in Charlotte the layout is very similiar, however, I did have to back track multiple times because I forgot things in previous aisles. The best thing was when I remembered an item there was an employee around to offer their assitance, and not only did they tell me where I could find the item, they took me to the aisle. The deli counter was packed, but moved very smoothly and offered tastings of the speicals for the week, which I ended up getting since it was so good. The seafood and meat counters offer a variety of fresh items as well as pre-packaged options that are packaged fresh daily. The overall layout, customer service and food I tasted and so far enjoyed this week are excellent. I look forward to the new edition to the neighborhood and look forward to getting my barrings down with their layout.

Yelp
As many others have opined, this is a VERY welcomed addition to the South End area, and it is most convenient for me when coming home from my Uptown office! So needing to get a few ingredients for another Saturday wine party, I decided to come here and finally check it out. And like our awesome CM Nikki said, it took like for friggen ever to build this place! I know it was supposed to be done well over a year ago.....but who knows what the delay was, IT IS BUILT! YEAY! Parking is on two levels under the store, which was necessary since there is no other land available adjacent to the store. And the elevators that are provided....GI-NORMOUS! It reminds me of large Hospital elevators....I was almost expecting to see a Nurse wheeling a patient on a stretcher come on....but I digress... Very nice layout to the store. Sure it's brand new, so it's smackin clean and smells good in there. Staff is very friendly and willing to help....this is one of Publix's signature identities...strong Customer Service. Lots of tasting stations...TIP: IF you're hungry and don't have any $$$ available, pig out here! Don't know if that will last long being new and all, but man did they offer a LOT of freebies! I had to eventually say NO because I was getting full and I wanted to have some appetite for dinner! They have an AWESOME selection of breads, like French, Italian, Cuban, and very freshly baked there! Closeby is a GELATO BAR! Nice! Being "The Wineguy," I thought their wine selection to be a little disappointing! For such a large store, I was HOPING for a more broader selection. Sure what they had was good, but the prices were only average for the area. I was hoping to see a LITTLE more competitive pricing, but at least they weren't high. Still, if you want a good bottle of wine, you will be able to find one here....Maybe my expectations are just too high.....I compare everything to the Taj-Ma-Teeter on Morrison.... What I REALLY loved is that they have a "make your own pizza" section! See my tip. You can buy a whole pizza dough ball (which makes 2 pizzas) or a pre-rolled sheet which makes one. They offer chopped onions (for you lazies out there), mushrooms, peppers, and pizza sauce all right there. Of course you can find other meats and toppings throughout the store but they make it very convenient for you IF you are wanting to make a pizza....which I was! I loved how they also stock a lot of "REFILL" bottles. For example, I was wanting some daily shower spray and febreeze deodorizer refills, and they had both! The TEET rarely carries those, and I have to subject myself to Wally World to buy so thank Publix for sparing me that pain! Overall I really like this store. But like my buddy Kate T says, they don't have many of my personal favorite items, so I still will continue to shop my Taj-Ma-Teeter, but will stop here on my way home when I need those daily items.

Yelp
I've used Publix bakeries for years, because they truly have the best cakes. Unfortunately, this week my experience was horrific. Last week I online ordered a carrot cake for my husbands birthday with instructions that it be ombré blue. Monday, when I went to pick up my cake, the decorating was a standard carrot cake. I politely explained it was wrong, and in return I had a nasty older woman, Katie, telling me that's impossible and they can't do that. I told her someone on the phone reassured me they could the week prior, instead of trying to help in anyway she continues to be rude and embarrass me. I left all of my contact information when I ordered the cake, if it was truly impossible and not just an error, the bakery would have contacted me and asked if there was something else I would prefer. I did not accept the cake, and therefore took my business elsewhere. I am beyond disappointed with Katie's customer service, and will never be using this Publix bakery again.

Yelp
I had a great experience with their bakery for my son's birthday. We needed a farm birthday cake and they did a great job recreating a Pinterest photo. The cake tasted yummy and the price was so much better than free standing bakeries. They also made great coordinated grass cupcakes.

Yelp
It's clean, closer to home than wally world (yuk) , I don't have to have a rewards card, parking is a breeze, everyone is super friendly, prices are comparable to HT and are sometimes cheaper. Overall I'm sold on Publix and super happy I don't have to drive to the world of wacky wally anymore. Plus its on the right side of the road when I'm leaving uptown and going homd down south blvd which makes it more convienient when needing items for dinner at last minute!

Yelp
A solid 4 star review. Why not Five? a) The Parking situation. b) Something I can't put my finger on just yet. c) Needs a Yelp deal, Shrugs shoulders because I just don't know but I'll figure it out what's missing and I believe it's the WOW! Factor. What works: 1) It's new so everything is neat and clean. 2) Full Service deli, seafood and meat counter as I'm accustomed to including meal deals. They could benefit from offering a punch card for all that you purchase via the deli as a meal on the go. 3) Self check outs that are not too sensitive. 4) Online coupons 5) Good looking catfish 6) Deli open and cutting meats and cheeses at 9pm while other places in town are like bye bye doll.

Yelp
The Starbucks at this Publix location is truly terrible, even ordering a black coffee takes several minute. The deli must be run by the government because it is extremely inefficient. Every time I order a sub online and come to pick it up at the designated time it is not ready and most of the time has not even been started yet. What's the point of having an online ordering system if it still takes 45 minutes to get a sandwich. Disgraceful.

Yelp
This is my first experience shopping in a Publix. I moved to Charlotte a year ago and was disappointed to see there was really only one grocery store chain in the city. Publix is a refreshing store to shop in, this location of course is new, the store is extremely clean and the staff is very excited to assist you. The produce section is much better than the competition in the area and there is also a great fresh seafood section. Overall I was impressed with the store, the parking garage and the friendly and courteous staff.

Yelp
This is the second time I've been to Publix to get a sandwich in the morning and the service is so subpar. I am currently waiting 10 minutes to even get started. The mornings aren't really that great if you want a sandwich.
