This is a disgustingly old Publix serving one of the wealthiest areas of West Palm Beach. The surroundings are filthy. It’s dark out at 6pm, no lights in the parking lot! Instead of opening a new Publix every month in Sarasota county you should upgrade Belvedere Rd, Rosemary Ave and this one. You charge the most of any grocery chain, the environments in these 3 stores in WPB is shocking and extremely disappointing. Horrible greedy company!

My family and I have been loyal customers at this Publix location for the past 19 years. We have always been extremely pleased with the employees, the customer service, the cleanliness, and the overall shopping experience. Unfortunately, today my mother had her very first negative experience, and it was upsetting enough that she left without purchasing what she came for. While at the deli, she was treated very poorly by one of the employees. The interaction was unprofessional and dismissive, to the point where my mother no longer felt comfortable completing her order. When she asked for the employee’s name (as she was not wearing a name tag), the employee told her that it was “not in her interest to know.” My mother then approached a nearby manager, who assured her she would address the situation with the employee, but also declined to provide the employee’s name. This is deeply disappointing given the many years of excellent service we have received at this store. We are not sharing this experience to criticize Publix as a whole, but rather to ensure accountability and improvement. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect, especially at a store known for its outstanding service. We truly hope this employee receives proper training on professionalism and customer care so that no other customer has to feel the way my mother did today. We value Publix and will continue to shop here, but we do want this situation to be addressed seriously.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Publix (oct -4 -saturday-2025). I had placed an online order for cupcakes for a very special occasion — my baby shower. The order was fully paid and confirmed in advance, so all I needed to do was pick it up. What should have been a quick and simple process turned into nearly 45 minutes of unnecessary waiting because the staff forgot to place a label on the cupcake box. Instead of immediately acknowledging their mistake, they tried to charge me again for something I had already paid for and could prove with my online receipt. The situation escalated to the point where I was made to feel like a criminal or someone trying to steal, when all I did was show up to collect my fully paid order. Even though the store manager, Jonathan, along with the deli manager and two additional employees, eventually came to apologize, four apologies do not erase the humiliation, disrespect, and wasted time I experienced — especially on such an important day. I lost precious time from my baby shower celebration because of an internal error that was not my fault. Publix has always stood out for its service and professionalism, which makes this incident even more disappointing. I truly hope this store uses this as an opportunity to better train its staff on customer service, empathy, and how to handle internal mistakes — especially when customers clearly present proof of purchase. This wasn’t just a labeling error — it was a complete lack of respect toward a loyal customer on one of the most meaningful days of her life.

Now I usually don’t come here. But I see bad reviews about who knows what but one guy at the deli did an awesome job at making sandwiches. He was very patient and not rushing me to decide what I wanted on my sandwich. There’s always those few employees that make Publix look good.

Jose in the meat department is amazing, he always goes above and beyond to be helpful with anything needed. So appreciate his customer service!! You don't always have that these days. Everyone here is always so helpful..

This is a smaller Publix but it is a great store like the most of them. We've been living in this area for over 15 years and it's been my primary place to shop. It is a bit of a boutique grocery store, given that the competition is Walmart and Aldi and relatively close proximity, but there's certain aspects of it that make it worthwhile. They're meat department is on site, and will do custom cuts for you if you request them. They're bogos almost always wind up being cheaper than the same products at the membership clubs, and for the most part their staff is friendly and accommodating. We were doing a wedding for our daughter and they were more than helpful in the wine selection for the event.

Today, November 1, 2025, I went to the coffee shop to get a coffee (2:30 pm). The woman who was supposed to serve me, after I waited in line, left me standing there without giving me any explanation that her shift was ending or saying anything at all. She just closed up and left, and I waited 10 minutes for someone to serve those of us who were there. She was rude and in a bad mood. This has never happened to me at any Publix, which is known for its good customer service.

Sunday evening at Publix and we stopped here to shop for the week in our nearby Airbnb now that we know what we can expect for a kitchen appliances and space. Super easy to pick up some frozen entrees, cream for coffee and bagels with fixings for breakfast. This late, the produce department was still well stocked and we had no problem finding what we needed. The store is similar to other Publix markets I've shopped around the Southeast from Mount Juliet TN to Fort Myers FL and my home store in Charlotte NC. Prices were decent (higher than Walmart) but it was a pleasant shopping experience. [Review 153 of 2025 - 1940 in Florida - 23719 overall]

If you are looking for the worst Publix deli experience available anywhere then this is the right place for you. The 3 Publix subs pictured below represent nearly 2 hours of my life. And they did not come from this Publix. Because after nearly an hour waiting, I finally waived the white flag and drove to another location. Do yourself a favor and keep driving right on by this store.

Ghetto azz publix. The guy who bagged my groceries was great. Everyone else looks like death warmed over. Their produce is a sad sight. Everything is wilted and disgusting.

This Publix is the best!! I highly recommend. The plaza is VERY clean, even though it's attacked by vagrants daily...and the staff is very nice.

Beware, if you order ahead they most likely won't have it ready and will blame it on technical issues. Happened several times now. Go elsewhere!

I love Publix, they are usually the best customer service but this one is bad all the way to the Pharmacy. Go to the CVS next door. They are rude and very unfriendly but they simply dont want to be helful.

The prepared thanksgiving diner was so bad It's not possible to give a low enough rating. Also the advertisement for it was fraud

The customer service is superb. Everyone one if friendly, informative and goes the extra length to make sure your needs are met.

I really like the employees, there are options for organic and vegetarian items, and all the newspapers are available for sale. It's clean and friendly, and extra precautions taken for Covid. I happen to love this grocery store and the app is great for coupons to automatically be applied

If you like I empty shelves and the slowest service available in town then this is the Publix for you !

Im not one to go a write reviews, I usually just let things roll off my shoulder but this really grinds my gears ! I go to my neighborhood Publix, and waltz over the the substation. I ask for the sub special which happen to be the ultimate sub special, with the exception of a sub I asked for it to be wrapped . Then I'm told by the employee at the sub station that she can not honor the sub special if it is being wrapped. I'm baffled ! How does that make sense? Your telling me that one tortilla wrap cost more than loaf of bread ? I beg to differ Furthermore I'm saving Publix a whole loaf of bread for any other customer to use for whatever sub they prefer wether special or not ! I couldn't believe what I was being told , so I proceeded to ask the manager . She expressed to me the same . It just doesn't make any sense !

I know we are going through an epidemic with the coronavirus but I did not realize the store closes at 8 o'clock. I arrive there at 8:01 PM and since I was not able to shop I just asked if I could please use the bathroom since I live 25 minutes away. I work south of there but I live north of there. I was amazed that I was not allowed. The security guard was nice and tried to convince the blond man to let me in. There were still people online and I told him it would only take me 2 minutes. I had to go really bad. He sent me to the gas station across the street which I would not go. I begged with no success. I've been living in Florida for almost 30 years shopping in different locations in Publix. Never have I been treated like this before. Now I understand where all the bad reviews come from for this particular store. There needs to make some changes.

Went looking for cook foods on Friday they have fish in the deli, I don like catfish but they have cod, it is great, they don't start cooking until 10, but they cook me some while I finish my shopping, excellent customer service

The best Publix ever! I'm been shopping here since 1962, and the service and quality has never been less than outstanding. 56 years of yummy foods brought into my house and prepared for yummy consumption. The staff here are world class polite and ever helpful. That's a tradition set forth by Mr. Hayes from a long time ago. His legacy lives on in this world class establishment. Come check it out! Oh yeah, and they have an awesome little Cafe inside that makes mega ultra yummy coffee and other little yum yums. Love the small town community setting that exudes itself from this location.

This Publix is the worst ever!!customer service is awful,most of the workers (not all of course)are unethical no education at all on treating customers nicely,this Publix even sale expired groceries BEWARE!!!!!!

Do yourself a favor and go to Belvedere .... My god the deli staff is the worst ... just whining and slow and miserable ..... terrible attitudes. Carve out an hour if you want anything.

I like this Publix. It's large, carries most everything, is usually well stocked and employees are friendly for the most part.

I've been to A LOT of publix and this one is absolutely the worst I've been to based on customer service. Every employee that works in the deli and sandwich department has the worse attitude. This seems very uncharacteristic based on Publix values. I would guess this is a management problem that needs resolved.

I asked a manager how a shopper is supposed to know how clearance items have been discounted. Discounted items are not labeled to show regular price amount and the reduced price or the percentage taken off on non-perishables. The manager suggested to go to find item in regular aisle and compare the prices. I thought this was odd. Why would a clearance item be still on sale in the aisle? I noticed that many items on clearance items seemed expensive. For two for one items, it is easy to know the item is discounted 50%. At Safeway in California clearance items show regular store price and then a bold label is attached showing percentage discount and price of reduced items. Publix needs to be more transparent and realize that its customers need to make informed choices. Beware!

Customer service personnel at this store are the rudest I've encountered. I'll avoid this store in the future. Mean lady servicing the customer service desk must dislike her job. She pulled me out of line stating I was in the wrong line for a return although there was no sign to indicate this. Not sure why this store would allow such rude employees.

The pictures speak for themselves. Got the cake without the swirls. When I saw it I wasn't completely satisfied so I kindly asked if they could darken their purple and add some purple piping around the top of the cake like it was on the bottom. I didn't even say anything to her about how off centered the 8 was. She gave it back to me like this. Mind you she already had attitude. I've also gotten attitude from her before this. It's the younger girl in the bakery, always has her make up done up. When she was supposed to be fixing the cake the older woman came over and they started bickering about the cake. Not sure what happened but this is what I ended up with and I wasn't comfortable to ask anything else. I should've gone to the manager but I really didn't have time to sit around and wait for them now to probably re ice the whole cake. All in all, it looks like a child made this cake. I could've done it better myself and would've if I knew this was going to happen.

Store opens at seven. At 9 AM the seafood case was still basically empty. There were items on sale I wanted to get but could not, told to come back. Sale tags were not up on the shelves. Mashed potatoes On sale for over one week past their sell by date. All of them in the keys were out of date. Mentioned to rep working A I SLE, and he just put them back in their place, I had pulled them all out he just put them back. BEWARE no one cares you might be buying out of date product. I will save other comments for a later date. Caps beware

The deli here is by far the worst staff !! I come here often cause I work right around the corner .... of course Publix subs are the best .... it's nice to have extra meat on you sub but there is a such thing as to much meat not to mention my bread crumbled as I was trying to eat it ... Danielle made my sub today 1/2 roast beef she didn't cut the meat she just folded it over and put it on the bread .... there is just no care .... cashiers have no personality just hi and have a great day... I worked for Publix as a kid and it was always about customer service ..... but it's not like that here in this store .

Bunch of addicts and people with nothing better to do always hanging around the entrance hawking you for money. Deli is by far the worst I've ever been to. Slow, terrible customer service, and generally unhappy deli clerks who make the whole experience a chore. Cashiers are an upside as they're fast and normally smiling. Produce department is hit or miss. I've come on numerous occasions to be greater by flies hovering over the produce, stock associates are nice enough though. It's a high volume store, so I've always been willing to cut some slack but after coming here for so long only to watch the quality decline, I've got to give them only one star.

I started going to this store more than 20 years ago and wow has it gone downhill. Just wasted a trip to Publix trying to find items advertised on sale. Two-for-one ham steaks - and only one there. Eye round roast on sale but the only cuts of beef available were of course more expensive. I waited patiently by the butcher's window to see if he had any, but he kept ignoring me. I finally yelled across the room to ask, but his mumbled reply was inaudible, and he refused to come to the window. If I wanted empty store shelves I'd go to Trader Joe's. Publix always used to have good red strawberries from Plant City, but now it mostly has nasty hard whitish berries from someplace called Riverview - why? Prices have soared in recent years at Publix, and now the service at Walmart is no worse, so I guess I'll get most of my groceries at Walmart and save a lot of money. I already get nearly all my produce at Don Victorio's, which is better and far cheaper than Publix.

My favorite Publix in the WPB area, especially for the coffee bar in front of the store. The moment you pull up to the parking lot you can smell Bustelo brewing and the toasted cuban bread with butter...talk about inviting hmm hmm hmm. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Worst Publix ever. It's too bad because it's the one closet to my home. So i go out of my way to avoid this place. They shouldn't be allowed to display the Publix name.

This publix as a whole is awful, but this particular review pertains to the deli. First of all good luck getting a sub made correctly even when your standing right in front of them. If you are thinking about trying to order online please reconsider, they are, on average, 30 mins past whatever time they say it will be ready, and you can bet that your order will be completely wrong. After multiple attempts with this location I am giving up. And God forbid you try to speak to a manager, you will be left wanting.
