"The Pub subs are good; they’re also still just sandwiches, and the day I went to try one in Lakeland, Florida, where Publix is based, I waited for several minutes before a worker came over to take my order. He did have suggestions on what to get on the sub, though they were unfortunately delivered after I’d already ordered." - Emily Stewart

It's 2025. I just realized that this new generation isn't tailored. The entire produce department doesn't value pulling items forward and making things look super neat and tidy. No hustle from Publix employees to greet or meet guests. It's now just a regular grocery store. I grew up at this location, Lakeland native. I see the difference. By the way, you can ask for any missing out to be brought out..and that is what's worrying me.

The help in the store is amazing 🤩. Forget the pharmacy! Never a smiling person! They make you feel bad you came to pick up your medicine. Isn't that their job? 🤢

I had a really great experience. The customer service was top-notch; the staff were friendly and always willing to help. Plus, the selection of fresh produce was impressive—everything looked vibrant and fresh. Overall, it's become one of my go-to places for grocery shopping!

Passing through this area and was craving light dinner. Could believe they have a salad bar! It was calling my name, happy about choosing what I wanted to go into my salad and not a bad price at $8.99 lb. Although an older publix plaza, the actual store is kept nicely and organized. Yes, would return if in the area.

My favorite Publix location. They are clean, and staff is always friendly. I also love that south gate decorates the sign according to the season/holiday.

Quality and service dives as prices rise, almost 2x per week at Southgate. The so-called corporate trial store has been through ups and downs in the last 10 years. Unfortunately more downs than ups. Only the senior cashiers are cordial. The high school people they fill the registers with are vacant, uncaring, and largely dismissive. This was mostly due, i hear, to a front end manager with the prowess of a brick. Things have improved. But why pay $3.00 more for an item at Publix when they fob you off to self check when you get better, real people service at Target or Walmart, imho. I go to Publix for convenience. I guess they don't care why i come as long as i pay their inflated prices, be dismissed by 17 year old cashiers, and VERY POOR STOCK REPLENISHMENT. A product you like might be there one week, then disappear for a month. And the apple fritter mystery.

My review is just about the deli, it happens today around 12:30, I got to the customers ordering area to get half a pound of ham, there were two young fellows, male and female, the man was cutting probably telephone orders, the Lady started to do the same wild I was waiting, there not other customers, just me who happens to be a disabled senior, I waited until the man finished what he was cutting but instead of taking care of me he started something else, same dit the lady, being ignore and disrespected by the attitude, I did ask if somebody is going to take care of me he answer with the mormour that nobody can understand, so I did ask the lady for the manager, at the beginning she ignores me, I did insist and she said without looking at me the managers not there, All of this with a long and impolite face, so I went to the customer service area to be tolda de store manager was in vacation, there I got really upset hijo de Lady at the customer service say that day bakery manager was in charge, I did ask for her and she came immediately a very nice and well educated lady who is the Publix smile and positive actitud, she escort me back to the deli, to find out that they were serving another customer and stoped cutting orders, Publix respect for the customers is something very notable, this is one of the reasons I go there, this is The reason for what I have all my medicines at their pharmacy, my medicines has a value of over 1500 dollars a month, I know that is not a reason tú consideras myself a preferred customer, Bad people like this two today at the deli at 12:30 definitely doesn't deserve to be there because they do not serve, neither meet, Publix customers attention standards.

Pretty good burgers. Not much atmosphere. They have a happy hour, 2 for 1 but they bring both drinks at the same time. The 2nd drink was watered down from the ice melting.
