Publix Super Market at Southgate Shopping Center

Publix has a tremendous reputation which remains untarnished in my book! I'm amazed at the thread of consistency that runs through the corporation which allows them to offer the same great service no matter which location you shop! As a builder, I always notice the physical features of each location as well, and again I notice the consistency of how well their facilities are kept! Nothing but coodles for Publix!!

Today 10/28/2025...I would like to thank Publix for the complimentary Birthday cake. It made my day today. I Love shopping at this location, friendly and helpful staff, and an amazing bakery. All baked goods are always fresh. Publix, you're a class act! Much appreciated! ❤️👍

Pharmacy forgot some of my pain meds. Specially told me they were all in there. I expressed I have a broken arm and can’t check the bag, and they said it was all in there. Turns out not. Now I have to pay $50 for an uber back and forth again.

I bought flowers and was disappointed because the FLOWERS were obviously SPRAY PAINTED instead of a more discretely manner. I understand that they want to look more colorful. While they might catch the eye at first, the paint damages to the petals and they die much faster. I’d much rather have naturally colored flowers that actually last, even if they’re less bright. I hope Publix reconsiders and offers more natural, untreated flowers instead of relying on artificial color.

On a busy Sunday after church, my family and I stopped in to get some fresh salad 🥗 and subs made 🥪 Priscilla, was so polite, patient, kind, & very fast at handling the crowd/ and long line of customers. Her personality was definitely delightful ✨🦋 we giggled at the idea of me adding a little "razzle dazzle" to my sandwich as I experimented with sauces lol I have a great appreciation for people who love what they do and SHINE while doing it✨🌞✨🌞

One of the managers (wish I caught his name) is so incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful. I’m not even asking for a “customer is always right” attitude- just, at minimum, to not treat customers with contempt and like they’re a nuisance. Once upon a time a review like this would have gotten some attention. Now, they’re a dime a dozen and no one cares.

Great place but NEVER buy deli meat from the deli unless you have a few hours to kill. WAY too many ppl standing around and only one person cutting meat for ppl today. This is the 3rd time I’ve had this happen. The manager even came by straightening food items, saw the line but never had anyone come help the Lone Ranger behind the counter. I waited 30 min then just walked off.

Where I stood in line waiting to order my sub, watching just one person be so calm. In Jasime I saw her performance with kindness and she done an awesome job with the 3 customers ahead of me and her outstanding performance continued with me. Now that is what Publix means to me. Jasime you are the Publix employee who deserves this recognition. Thank you !
