My guess is Pudge is just gettin' a check here.
Dropped in here to grab a slice of pizza hoping to get a positive and instead it really didn't help the situation. They had some cheese and pepperoni slices so I ordered a pepperoni for $4. Grabbed my slice and walked next door to grab a beer and eat.
Not sure what to say other than I really expected it to be better than it was. What I got was a smallish slice of pizza, with what tasted like cheap cheese and bland, almost tasteless pepperoni. I realize a lot of pizza places are going this route, but I'd think that a place with this visibility and name, would at least be a couple notches above. I sure wasn't expecting great pizza, but a slice that had some taste and value should have been a given. When did so many places start using such sad tasting pepperoni?
I'd say it was small step above any of the national places on TV that deliver, but not much more. The size, the taste...to me not worth the $4, even considering the venue. Maybe it's because I think Texas Live is really nice, I expect more of the places within it to be better. Is that wrong? I'll give it another try sometime, but currently...I just don't know. They have limited Thur-Sun evening hours and then game day hours only as I can tell.
