Google
This was def my last meal at this truck.. Sadly, the quality is not what it once was. I’ve been here a few times as I live in the area and although they are a bit pricy, I enjoy PV if I’m having a coffee or drink at Progress. Well, my last straw was this $10 guacamole that was total garbage in every way possible. It seems as if the 1 small scoop of guacamole is hiding a fairly large mound of wet shredded lettuce. It was grosssss, like wet bland watered down avocado. To make it worse, no more than maybe 7 full chips! The rest was all crumbled and in no way able to dip or scoop into the lettuce mush. Gross. My folks had to eat it with a spoon and fork to mix the chips and guacamole together 🫣😬 Nunca más.

Pam Garner

Google
Waited 30 minutes for 4 tacos. Never actually got them. Have NEVER had issues with PV at cosmic.

Yelp
We love it! The drinks change up regularly and are pretty great, a range of every man's easy drinking cocktails and delicious more craft cocktails. There was one a few months ago that had a little oil spritz on top that was my must have for its entire time on the menu. The coffee is fab. I do miss the sweater weather latte from last year, but the house made syrups and the coffee itself are really great so I can't complain. It's easy going during the day, it's more festive at night, but we love it for both vibes. The markets they host are also really lovely, great food items and pastries, etc. Solid food truck rotation, although I am missing the lamb barbacoa mini tacos now that pueblo viejo is gone and mil amores has taken over as the taco staple.

Yelp
The bartender was so rude and dismissive and completely ruined our experience. Yes, it was a busy Sunday afternoon but I am a very friendly & thankful customer and don't deserve to be treated so badly. He was very short while taking our order, quickly made our drinks, then set them to the side without even telling us they were ready or even handing them to us. He just went on to the next person. We visited the bar twice and both times he was extremely rude. The ambience is cool, but the horrible service will keep me from going back again.

Yelp
Worst neighborhood coffee bar ever. Their music is too loud, the owners, management and staff there really do not care about the actual neighbors that live in the houses that have to listen to this music everyday! The owners and management there are non-responsive to any complaints that you file with them pertaining to said music. We don't even have to go to the establishment to listen to the music and we can no longer enjoy our backyard or have the windows open. I can only imagine how loud it is inside the business. Oh and they don't serve food there, it's a food truck that they have on their lot that serves the food.

Yelp
What an adorable coffee and bar spot in Buda! I stopped by on a random Tuesday night, and it was beautifully decorated with festive Christmas décor. To my surprise, it was also music bingo night! The atmosphere and staff made it feel so welcoming, like home. I tried the salted caramel apple coffee, asked for it to be less sweet, and the barista nailed it, it was absolutely delicious! My friend ordered the Abuelita chocolate mocha, which was equally amazing.

Yelp
Nice spot in Buda I visited during the day. Saw mixed reviews about the night time but haven't been there for it yet. Their take on Vietnamese iced coffee (iced lightening) was too sweet for me but the item that had the cold brew (iced thunder) was much better. Not a ton of parking that I could see so be aware of that.

Yelp
Great coffee and cocktails, beautiful decor, ample seating both inside and out, and only located a few miles away from South Austin? Welcome to my new favorite coffee shop. I was so sold on Progress on I35 after just trying it out yesterday, I had to return to welcome it's newest location. Just like it's sister location, Progress serves its unique signature coffees (ie: Lavender Agave Latte & Eastside Latte), cocktails, beers, and 2 food trucks.

Yelp
Progress's new location is a wonderful addition to the Buda community!! A large outdoor patio with ample seating, two food trucks with PLENTY of picnic tables, and even a playscape for kids. The coffee is great and so are the cocktails. They have Easy Tiger pastries and a great selection of bottled/canned drinks for those looking for something other than coffee/alcohol. We love this place! TLDR; outdoor seating, food trucks, kid friendly!

Yelp
We absolutely love Progress! We love the interior and how it is perfect for those who need a temporary place to WFH. Chill vibe, cute aesthetic, and very welcoming. There is also a ton of outdoor space on a covered patio which was great when it was windy the other day! I can definitely tell this is a great place whether you and inside or out. We got a campfire hot latte, and it was OK! It didn't blow me away, but I loved the details in the torched marshmallow and warm spices. I wish the espresso was a tad stronger so I could better taste the blend, but next time I'll get their cold brew to have a more simple taste of their beans. We got breakfast tacos from Pueblo Viejo, and WOW WOW WOW. What a great addition for Progress and great location for PV! Great quality tacos, great selection, not greasy, the salsas were fire, staff was so friendly, and I loved their homemade tortillas. Do not sleep on the lamb quesadillas, y'all; they are JOY. Every single staff member at Progress was very friendly and helpful as I chose my drink. Full bar with coffee cocktails - I can't wait to come back to have one! Such a fantastic spot to let your kiddo run around on the playground, grab a quick bite and a drink. We cannot wait to come back!

Yelp
Great ambiance! Kid friendly, with a little park. Food trucks, bar and coffees/tea inside

Yelp
Finally, something close to our home! Very clean and comfortable area to sit and chat with friends. Plenty of space in and out for everybody and your pets. Parking is rough, but if full park by the dirt road. Either 1-2 food trucks outside. TRY: expresso martini and progress's old fashion (delicious)

Yelp
This was a great little find right next to a storage place where I have some stuff so stopped in afterwards in the evenings had a beer definitely a local spot, but everybody was very friendly bartender was really cool. They have a nice open back area with a small playground, animals are welcome. They also have their own signature cocktail list that changes seasonally, which was very cool. Current special is a margarita with cucumber, which is amazingly refreshing definitely recommend had a great time and will definitely be back plenty of seating inside and out they do have a great patio.

Yelp
This is a really nice environment during the day with a good coffee selection. Returning at night is a whole different story. The music is blaring, so loud you can't even talk to your friends. It's a really strange choice for a coffee shop that should theoretically turn into a lounge, but turns into a full blown club. It would be so much better if this turned into a chill vibe at night and you could go have some nice drinks with your friends and hang out. We will not be returning due to this.

Yelp
Great location, lots of seating and super friendly staff/management! Highly recommend! The drinks are well priced and are amazing. So glad I finally tried this place.

Yelp
It's a cute little place. We went on a Wednesday, the bartenders were a little slow at drink making (we ordered bottled beers), somehow they never got my food order that I ordered from the QR code at the table (my payment went through just fine though) so I had to go up there about 30 minutes after I placed the order. The bartender said she never got the order but would make our food right away, she did and it was good. A little over priced, but it's a bar. The parking is horrible. Luckily we got there early enough, but I'm not sure I'll go back. Yes, it's cute and clean, there are plenty of tables inside and outside, but not enough parking to fill the tables- people were parking along side the highway across the street.

Yelp
My favorite spot to go, it's so friendly and we love their cocktails. It's got a huge outdoor seating area and the management supports all spots even British football

Yelp
Great local coffee/bar spot that Buda needs! Love the indoor and outdoor space. Dog Friendly and a food truck outside for some grub. The parking lot is not that large, so arrive early or better yet rideshare there! The menu is large and they offer drinks that range from a marzipan Espresso Martini to basic drip coffee. We went here for the first time on a Friday evening and I will say the music was loud loud... my friends and I had to sit outside to really head each other. Seems like a fun place to be with DJs on the weekends and TVs for the football games.

Yelp
I've gone twice and both times they can't seem to figure out their POS system. The first time I went the barista said they didn't take Apple Pay, so I had to get out of line, go grab my card and get back in line to pay just for the person in front of me to use Apple Pay to check out. There seemed to be some miscommunication with both baristas because they went back and forth not knowing if it worked or not. Second, I came in again to study and decided to order some tea. Went to order said tea, and guess what, they couldn't figure out how to use the built in app that you need to pay. In order to use your phone to pay, you have to download a different app, add your payment then pay for your drink. They app wouldn't register my payment and the barista asked me if I could pay using cash or card, I normally carry both but on this one day I forgot my wallet and thought "thank goodness for Apple Pay". She then asked if I was with someone who could pay, I told her no I was there alone and had to turn around gather all of my stuff and leave my hot cup of tea at the counter.

Yelp
Tons of seating, big free parking lot, and many TVs. I wish there were more food options but the lattes are great.

Yelp
Love the ambiance, several different areas w different vibes. I love the deck but the mulched area is nice to hang out at with the kids (there's a small playground). It's family friendly until 9 PM. This is somewhere sometimes to work and have a copy, to have a happy hour drink and catch up with a friend, to meet a friend with other kids and let them play while we catch up and eat tacos at the food truck, and a great spot in the neighborhood to have little date night. We even rang in the new year at Progress. The service is super friendly and helpful. The only naysayers are the people who are angry that they bought a house next to commercial property. The Mexican candy frozen drink or the espresso martini is a good start!

Yelp
They were featured on Fox Good Day Austin as a new business in Buda so we decided to check them out. They are located in a neighborhood and close to the hospital and Cabela's. Parking is limited and tight. However there is a side street that you can park if the lot is full. They have a dog potty area and a large outdoor patio that is partially shaded. The space inside is a little tight too. There is a bar, stage, communal seating and a more private room in the back. There are two food trucks on the property- Gerby BBQ and Pueblo Viejo. The decor has Buda/Austin style to it. They are new so going through that stage of long wait times. We walked in and the barista didn't make eye contact or greet us. I don't think she looked up once. The other waitress finally came to get our order. They got our order wrong but they fixed it. Once the order was placed the drinks came out fast. We tried the orange honey latte and matcha latte. They were ok. The flavors were diluted. We prefer full bodied taste for our drinks. My hot matcha was Luke warm so I went home and heated it up. There were pastries and snacks that were very good. The music was soft so you can actually have a conversation with your friends or family. Love that. It's a great place to work too. If they can make their drinks more bold, this could be my go to coffee shop.

Yelp
Love the physical ambiance, space and deck and that it is pet friendly, even with a small dog park. I usually come 3x/week for about an hour to get work done while in transit between appointments. Staff is friendly and helpful. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the overhead music is a crap shoot. I'll elaborate. Today, as I sit here to write this, the music inside is super loud, like can't-have-a-conversation loud. I mentioned it to the bartender and they said they turned it down earlier in one small room (that doesn't have a door) but they made no attempt to turn it down in the main area, which pushes me outside (which I don't necessarily mind). The outside music level today is softer than inside but borderline too loud as well. People trying to work or visit or relax are bombarded by a heavy beat. I feel like I'm at the club! The other day when I was here around the same time, the music playing had a bunch of cursing in it, which in and of itself is not a terrible thing, BUT, because this place is family friendly, it was a real turnoff. Makes me wonder about bringing my kiddos here with me in the future. With that said, it is a great spot to come hangout, but if you want to talk or get work done, bring your noise canceling headphones or be prepared to be outside on their awesome patio, weather dependent. I guess the managers let the staff choose whatever music, which is refreshing, but maybe need to make sure we have the "radio versions" of songs so it is appropriate for little ears. great drinks and coffee. (I haven't tried the food trucks)

Yelp
This place was just what we were looking for! Great playground for the kids and a nice set up for the adults. Will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Bar service is good. They have a great outdoor play area for kids and pets that beats most others in the area. Their food trucks are great!

Yelp
I realllllly want to love this place, because it's beautiful, close to my house and the coffee is good. Two things that keep me from loving it is the music is terrible and way too loud and the service is either fantastic or super bad. I've been in four times now, yesterday being the fourth. Every time I've gone in, morning and afternoon, EVERYONE is on a laptop working, having business meetings, on Zoom calls - all normal coffee shop stuff. So you would think they would keep the music at a level where you can hear what's happening on your own earbuds. It's even louder on the patio. If it were some kind of classical or even coffee house jazz, that would be okay, but yesterday when I left, country rap was blaring. I asked them if they could turn down the music and they did only to turn it back up about 15 minutes later. I get I'm not the only person in the place and maybe other people like muzak style covers of Rod Stewart and movie sound track hits from the early 80s. But no other coffee shop I'be been in this area or around the US have I ever experienced such loud bad music. Anyhow I'm willing to give it one more shot, but since I go there to work, music level (and quality) is important to me. I do like their version of Vietnamese coffee and the food truck has excellent breakfast tacos.
google avatar

Elle C.

Yelp
The day I went was too hot to sit outside, and the food trucks weren't open. Inside, the music was way too loud, as others have said, so it makes no sense why people would try to work from there! None of the coffee drinks seemed appealing, so I just got a cookie and it was FIVE DOLLARS! There were no prices on the food so you get a bad surprise when you pay. Quite a disappointment overall.

Yelp
Super cool place. It's even kid friendly. Love having a new place in Buda. Full bar. Great patio.

Christopher H.

Yelp
I Really love the Irish affagado.. it tastes really good. Both food trucks have amazing food as well. Good spot!!

M D.

Yelp
New spot in Buda, very close to my house, which is a huge plus. Very South/East Austin vibe i.e Radio, Cosmic, etc., medium sized yard space with a pretty size-able patio. For sure need more of these types of places in Buda/Kyle. Relatively small parking lot compared to the amount of people it can accommodate. Two food trucks on site, including Pueblo Viejo for some solid tacos. Solid selection of local craft beers, good happy hour pricing, and their cocktails are really top notch from what I've seen. We have ordered two of their frozen and their definitely spruced up versions of the drinks and have been very tasty. The business is in very close proximity to the adjacent neighborhood (my neighborhood as well), and could see how the immediate neighbors could be turned off by the rather loud music and close proximity on the weekends. The food trucks are literally backed up against peoples backyards. TLDR version ; Nice spot with good beer and cocktails, coffee. Small parking lot, nice bartenders.

Joshua B.

Yelp
This place has definitely gotten better since they opened. It is so close to home we wanted it to turn into our neighborhood spot. It is becoming that.

Mishon L.

Yelp
Love this new coffee shop in Buda. I come here frequently to work and the staff has always been friendly, the coffee has always been good, and I've always been able to find a comfortable spot to work.

Lucian S.

Yelp
Decent service bad management. I waited 20 minutes to get a drink & when i got my drink it was the wrong drink. As a diabetic i need specific ingredients in my cocktails. The staff was so disrespectful & didn't comprehend my situation. I am never coming back ever!
