Google
Tried their tamales, chile relleno, chimichanga, and quesadilla. Highly recommend the chimichangas and chile relleno! The quesadilla chicken was a little unevenly cooked. Overall it’s a great spot.

Google
Beautiful location, real authentic Mexican food friendly waiters and waitresses atmosphere is absolutely beautiful and clean. I love the artwork on the walls, the floor, even the tables and booths. This place makes me feel at home and proud of my Mexican culture! The food is absolutely amazing. I should’ve took a picture of it before I started eating, but it was by far the best Mexican food I’ve ever had here in Fort Collins! Thank you so much!

Danette V.

Google
The fact that I asked the waiter how they made their mole and he had no idea what I was talking about said ALOT. An authentic Mexican restaurant or waiter should know that there is more then one way to make this dish and should know which way their restaurant makes theirs. I ordered and it was in but not great. Their margaritas were heavily watered down but also had a lot of tequila lol so there's that. I'll go back because people said it's a good place to go to for food , so maybe I just had a bad day on their end.

Google
This is one of the best places to eat in Fort Collins. The staff are some of the friendliest people on the planet, the food is always good and comes fast. Also free chips, salsa, bean dip and water brought to your table immediately. If you like margs, get the original marg, comes with a side shaker of extra margarita. Make sure to say hi to Luis!

Emily R.

Google
We were seated immediately which was nice because Fort Collins is usually busy. Food was really good no complaints at all. Its on the corner of a pretty busy intersection so parking was a little hard to find. Definitely will come again.

Google
Good service, got refills timely, order was correct and our food was hot. Unlimited chips and salsa, they also bring some housemade beans out for dipping. The salsa is fresh with good flavor but is not hot so if you like hot salsa you'll be disappointed. We tried the Pueblo Viejo combo, the chicken taquitos were good, they had a lot of chicken, the quesadillas were ok, my favorite part of the appetizer were the nachos. They remind me of nachos from one of our favorite places back home (El Cholo), real melted cheese on their housemade chips sprinkled with very well seasoned beef and a cup of spicy nacho cheese for you to dip your chips into or pour over the top of your nachos for extra cheesy goodness. Loved the nachos! We also tried the carne asada plate, it was cooked exactly how my husband liked it, good carne asada seasoning/flavor. Fajita burrito; it was good, the nontraditional addition of mushrooms to the onion & pepper mix was very tasty. Carne asada quesadilla; like most others, it was good. Enchiladas Rancheras; very good. I was happy to see that the enchiladas were traditionally made with the corn tortillas gisadas in the sauce, wrapped and topped with traditional mexican toppings, not TexMex or oven made. Over the moon about the enchiladas. The beans and rice were also good. I especially liked the rice, I rarely say this about Mexican restaurant rice, but, it was actually good. Someone back there certainly knows how to make authentic Mexican rice. Most places out here do not. I was a little disappointed by the dessert, churros with ice cream. I was expecting traditional churros, fried with a dusting of sugar and cinnamon. They were fried but had no topping and the ice cream was freezer burnt and you could taste it a lot. I think if you stay away from the desserts you'll be fine. All the food was very good. It wasn't busy when we went, relaxed atmosphere, not too loud, family friendly, casual wear. The restrooms are dated but clean and actually smelled nice and clean.

Google
Went to eat at pueblo viejo and while we were eating chips and salsa.we found a razor baked into our chips. Called the owner over, and he comped our meals and asked us to leave that he had never seen anything like that.and he would talk to all his staff. What the heck.the photo says it all. We had already eaten a basket of chips.how in the heck does this happen.not happy about this

Google
Great place!! Fabulous comida!!

Yelp
We like this place, a good first impression on a first visit. If you are looking for a no-fuss Mexican food experience, this fits the bill. Well executed basic fare (I have not tried any of the more complex offerings, yet) with a wide and varied menu, there is lots to try. I tried the green chile burrito, and found the green Chile is excellent. the only suggestion I could make is to make the salsa a little less watery. It's hard to get it so stick on the chips (the flavor is fine). I'll be back to try more of the menu.

Yelp
Great service. Plenty of food which was very tasty (shrimp fajitas). Nice atmosphere and location. Enjoyed it greatly

Yelp
The food was incredible, love the spicy chili, adult beverages were on point and the service was excellent- thanks for a great meal!

Maya M.

Yelp
Right away I knew I was going to enjoy this meal! The menu is HUGE and had pictures of lots of the food they offer. My friends and I were all satisfied with everything that we ordered and their margaritas are phenomenal. Special shout out to the mangorita I think it is called... so yummy. The waiters were all very attentive and friendly (even brought my friend a free desert and sang happy birthday to her towards the end of our meal). Super cute decor as well... it felt very homey and warm.

Colin A.

Yelp
Chicken ranchera is top tier. Get that and you too will 5 star this joint. Service here is speedy and friendly. My favorite sit down Mexican food in NoCo.
google avatar

Brad W.

Yelp
Tried out this place for lunch and had a great Chile Relleno. Watch out for the hot green Chile they use on the deep Fried version. The chips were hot and fresh and there were plenty of choices on the lunch specials menu. The chicken was white meat and Spiced expertly. Frozen margarita probably only item that needed help.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
Good food not exceptional. Clean facility. Good margaritas. Reasonable price. Lots of choices on the menu. Made fresh.

LJ R.

Yelp
Been here about 40 times and each time, the chips are hot and crispy, the staff is phenomenal, and it is always clean and bright. PV you are the absolute best.
google avatar

Jeannine B.

Yelp
Service is amazing! Good came out quickly and the margaritas are great!! we will definitely return!

Yelp
Late lunch. We had been out and about and needed a place for nourishment. Wow! The décor here is really cool. The service was attentive. Our waters were always full. They brought us chips, salsa and beans. Warm refried beans for dipping the chips. Yes, please! The salsa had nice chunks of fresh ingredients and an excellent kick. I had cheese enchiladas with mole. OMG, the mole is delicious. My daughter had the chicken enchilada suiza. So good! She enjoyed every bite. This place will be on our list the next time we are in FoCo, for sure!

Beatrice C.

Yelp
Amazing authentic Mexican Food!!!! Best Customer Service!!!! Beautiful Mexican decor!!!!

Yelp
What a great place! We stumbled in by chance when our original choice was closed and I am so glad we did. On a Tuesday night during winter break, the restaurant is not too busy. Easy to hear my husband across the table and have a conversation with some basketball playing in the background. I ordered a medium combination with a taco and an enchilada. It came with so much food that I only ate the enchilada and brought the rest home. My husband ordered the chicken molé, and was very happy! Before the meal arrived, we were served chips, salsa, and refried beans. Food took less than 10 minutes from ordering to the table. We will definitely be back! To have 2 full entrées and 2 NA drinks for under $50 is hard to find nowadays.

S B.

Yelp
We love Pueblo Viejo! We eat the Windsor location weekly. The staff is great, super fast service, food is fantastic and great atmosphere. Prices are reasonable. Try it!
google avatar

Emma D.

Yelp
We came here early on a weeknight for a sit down Mexican dinner. I love the ambiance here! Our server was Antonio and he was so attentive and sweet. The man refilling water and chips was also so nice! All the staff was friendly. I am vegan and asked two servers if the bean dip had lard, milk, or butter in it and was told it was just beans, so I ate it. I got veggie fajitas, they were delicious! I just had the cheese and sour cream left off. I also got a small margarita which was only about $5 and wasn't too small at all. The food portions are huge. I took more home than I ate at the restaurant! I do wish the tortilla to fajita ratio was better, only 3 tortillas and a huge mountain of fajita veggies. My only complaint was that the chips were kind of bland and not fresh tasting. My omni partner said his food was just okay, not great. He got a combination platter with tacos, enchilada, and some other things.

Yelp
This was a pleasant surprise. I've been to other Pueblo viejos but this was a better experience. It could be because it was such nice décor. We received our food that we ordered pretty quickly but the waiter didn't come back and others came nearby so we asked for our check.. check it wasn't clear whether they were going to take it up front or we had to go pay up front they take it. Good food, served quickly, in a nice atmosphere.

Trevan A.

Yelp
All around great food and service. Easily the best chicken I've ever had and my fiancé loved their margaritas and queso. We will definitely be back!

Robert E.

Yelp
We recommend this restaurant to everyone! Great service , great 1800 margaritas and best steak fajitas ever. Please go when you are hungry and thirsty. Thanks for a great time.
google avatar

Yelp
Let's break it down: Quality: No complaints from anyone at our table, the Chicken fajitas we're incredible according to the wife :-) Quantity: Served most generously too :-) that was a big Pueblo Viejo house dinner if you're hungry.... Price: In line with Old Town Fort Collins restaurants. Perhaps a tad premium but you get what you pay for. Drinks: Went out on a bit of a limb and tried a Banana Rum Margarita, was not disappointed :-) very sweet if that's your thing in alcohol. Service: Very friendly waitress. Basically, as good as it gets!

Russ S.

Yelp
It's AMAZING!. The food very fast and unexpectedly delicious. My wife even cleaned her plate. They were very nice and even brought my service dog water. Friendly and kind. Carne asada will bring me back.
google avatar

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
Great food and service. We enjoyed the one in old town Ft Collins better than the one in Windsor. Not bad since we are from Texas.
google avatar

Susanne B.

Yelp
Authentic Mexican Cuisine! Excellent Patron Margaritas, salsa with bean dip & chips, and burritos! We sat on the patio and enjoyed our friendly, attentive service and our delicious meals.
google avatar

Liz M.

Yelp
Came here the other day since I have never been in, there was no wait at all and we got seated right away. Got chips, salsa, and bean dip on the house which is awesome! I had a bit of a hard time trying to ask what oil the chips were fried in for my allergy because of a language barrier, but the server was kind enough to have one of their fluent english speaking coworkers come over and help me figure it out. :) They use soybean oil if anyone was wondering!!!! Our server made the best drink I have ever had, it was called the piñata. The food came super duper fast and the portions are hugeee!!! Super yummy authentic restraunt we loved it and will be back soon!!!!! Total was about $90 including tip for 2 customers (we like our drinks)
google avatar

Kimberly M.

Yelp
I love this place! It's a great start to any night. I'm a major fan of the white queso dip and pitcher margaritas! Every time I've experienced exceptional service and never had to wait for a table. The outdoor seating is great!

Ellen G.

Yelp
Great food. Service was amazing. Get the white queso. Love every single thing about this place. The food and drinks were great
google avatar

Susan A.

Yelp
We came here on a whim walking around downtown FoCo. Hubby had a hankering for Mexican. Sat outside and shared fish tacos and guacamole. Pretty traditional food and tasty. Nice, fast and friendly service. All would be well except for the woman with the totally obnoxious voice who had no idea how to talk in public-but that is not the restaurant's fault.
google avatar

Meridith H.

Yelp
The rellano was crispy and fresh. The margaritas were tasty and refreshing. The chips were stale, bland, no salt and tasted mealy. We sent them back and let them know the chips were bad. They brought more chips to our table but they too were stale, bland, no salt and tasted mealy.
google avatar

Joe N.

Yelp
I love the food and service at location at Windsor exit but drinks have no tequila. When I asked if I had any tequila on my drink waitress said they make huge batch each day and put out of that. PUT TEQUILA IN YOUR MARGS OR IM NEVER COMING BACK! It is nonsense, she should have brought a shot to put in math and not make excuses

Anna W.

Yelp
This place slaps. Service was great, food was great, and they had like the best margaritas I've ever had.

Tom J.

Yelp
Delicious authentic Mexican food and a fun location with lots of vibe! We can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Adam M.

Yelp
Some of the best Mexican food you can get in northern Colorado. It's hard to find a decent place but Pueblo Viejo hits the spot!
google avatar

Lou P.

Yelp
The food was really good....but the marg was undrinkable. Our waiter seemed to feel like being a waiter was beneath him, took 30 mins to get our check after asking for it, and he seemed disappointed that I expected change back from my $100 bill (from a tab of $35). If only we could have had margs delivered from the Rio!
google avatar

Rich H.

Yelp
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Fort Collins! The salsa is excellent ,the chips are fresh and the food comes out hot. The drinks are made by hand and are to die for. The menu has lots of selections and the specials are delicious. The service has always been excellent!!

Yelp
On a bustling Saturday morning, one is often hard pressed to find a quality meal in downtown Fort Collins. But fear not weary traveler, Pueblo Viejo, roughly translated as the whale's harpoon, will always have a place for you at the table as well as a place in your heart. Their delicious food was very satisfying with a diverse menu that is sure to have something for everyone. 4.5 stars for in dining experience. For the post dining experience, the stool was of generic color although consistency was somewhat high on the fluidity scale, +2 wipes from average. Particulates have been reported. Smell was low in magnitude but had a pungent odor. There was a discomforting instance of flatulence of a strong, pungent odor 2 hours after consumption that required an opening of windows but ultimately this proved to be a false alarm. 3 stars, 3.75 overall.

Laura G.

Yelp
we come to the one in Windsor all the time. Great food, nice staff. Everything is always good

Chris P.

Yelp
My favorite Mexican restaurant in Fort Collins. Delicious food at relatively inexpensive prices, especially when you consider the huge portion sizes and free chips. I like that the menu has small, medium, and large combos. With the exception of one time that was a fluke, we've always had really wonderful service here. The bussers and support staff in particular are really, really great. Very friendly, responsive, and helpful.

Jessica S.

Yelp
The food here was delicious! My sister & I both got their tamales and we both loved them! The hostess was super sweet and sat us immediately! They also bought out chips and 3 choices dips super quickly & we didn't even need to ask! However, once they started to get busy and more people came into the restaurant our waiter got super busy. So he only came to our table once & my sister tried to order another drink with another server and they never gave it to her. Overall the food was very tasty, but the service was a little sparse.
google avatar

Aubrie L.

Yelp
We tried this for the first time last night and what I'm most excited about is the BEAN DIP! It's so rare to be served bean dip alongside salsa with the chips and it did not disappoint!

Master H.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in all of Fort Collins! The staff are always so friendly and very fast with their service. The food is always soo good, and so are the margaritas! And you really can't beat their pricing either! Highly recommend!
google avatar

McKenzie S.

Yelp
the food and atmosphere was amazing. service was top notch and everyone seemed to enjoy their business. highly recommend if you're looking for some incredible food and good drinks/service!!

Frank M.

Yelp
second time at this restaurant in Fort Collins. the food is good. classic Mexican. The restaurant was busy, the staff was attentive. we had a good meal. we would frequent the establishment again.
google avatar

Laurel J.

Yelp
Mmmmm!!! If you're looking for perfect you got it!! They are the best. I haven't been to Fort Collins in a while, and this was a GREAT experience. I have hon here since age seven, and it's STILL the best!!!! It's seriously the perfection of food!!!

Catherine C.

Yelp
Food is ok. My issue is the service. We waited over 25 minutes for our bill, asking multiple people multiple times for the check. When it came there was an additional $3.25 for the soda my daughter got with her kids meal. The menu states the kids meal price includes a soda, so I asked for the unnecessary charge to be removed. My server argued with me about it, said that it's a $2 soda charge (makes no sense, there was no $2 charge on our bill or the menu). He reluctantly took it off, but having to argue about something so stupid makes me never want to come in again.
google avatar

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
One of my family's favorite places to go. Food is always outstanding, service is excellent, and the atmosphere is fun and family friendly. My sister and I always get smothered chicken burritos with red sauce and every single time it is amazing. Drinks are kept full, and you are greeted as soon as you walk in the door. Wonderful place. We'll keep coming back.
google avatar

Eileen F.

Yelp
Great Mexican food! Service 10/10 and fajitas came out sizzling hot . I really recommend this place . Also a great eating environment on the week days .

Eli S.

Yelp
Me: My buddys relleno is ice cold Waiter: that's how it comes Me: frozen? Waiter: *walks away* He fixed it but I don't know what he was thinking. My meal: The pork was dry. I ordered an entree and a combo #11... It's not what I got. When I brought it up, he made excuses that were far from valid. The rice and beans were on the outside in the picture. Yet they were on the inside when I got my plate. No accountability. It's beyond. No wonder it's always dead during the day.
google avatar

Alicia R.

Yelp
I visited Pueblo Viejo recently and had a really nice evening. First, the food was delicious. I loved thhe chips and salsa they brought out. The appetizer and entrees were really good. The margaritas were so refreshing too! The service was phenomenal as well, very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be coming back very soon.
google avatar

Cassie P.

Yelp
I don't frequent Fort Collins much but after visiting Historic Downtown for the first time yesterday, I wish that I did. My friends wanted Mexican for din and their first choice was the Rio. I had been to the restaurant before in Denver and it's not my favorite so I was silently pleased when we found it closed for the holiday. That led us to their other favorite Mexican place, Pueblo Viejo. I immediately could tell it was more my style. The warm chips and spicy salsa were the perfect start to the meal. The menu is huge and took me forever to read and decide on what I wanted. I ended up getting a chili relleno and bean tostada and cleaned my plates! It's pretty standard Mexican food, nothing out of this world, butI really can't complain. Our waitress divided our checks for us which was really nice and the rest of the waitstaff made sure our glasses (and chip basekt) were always full. Overall, if you're looking for some Mexican around the area, Pueblo is a good choice. Don't let the margaritas at Rio entice you to skip out!

Yelp
Visiting from Southern California. She had the Avocados Relleno--delicious. boy had Black bean and cheese burrito--yum i had the wet asada burrito--fully loaded--awesome. well balanced. the youngin' had a pizza pie from across the way-- he is particular with his choice of eating and they allowed him to eat another establishments food. some places frown about that...but not this place. appetizer was also delicious-came with great fresh tasting salsa and a bean dip. iced tea was was good. service was exceptional. i found a new PRIMO! my server, from Jalisco. never caught his name, but became instantaneous Primo's(cousins) . he was helpful and checked in with us frequently even when he was tending to a large party table. when we visit again, we will be sure to stop by to dine again.
google avatar

J.R. W.

Yelp
Ok, the strawberry colada was delicious, the fiesta appetizer was good too! What wasn't so great was the service. First they seat us at this little table outside that is literally falling apart and should be retired from service. After moving tables, it then took a good long while before anyone came to help us. Water never got refilled and was empty before the appetizer arrived. I love the portion size, but today even the food was sub par. Bean dip was more like a stew, Blanco con queso that wasn't Blanco, and the smallest chimichanga I've ever seen! I really like this place and I hope they get it figured out soon.
