Puerto Nuevo Coffee

Was told by a friend to check out Puerto Nuevo Coffee as they have good smoothies and to go items. After finding them, which is a little difficult, as they are tucked in a strip mall and the best way to park and walk in is through the back. I was warmly greeted and asked for a menu as this was my first time there. I flipped through the menu and decided to order their detox smoothie in a large that came with strawberry, pineapple, kale, spinach and apple juice. The smoothie was thick, but oh so refreshing with a little hint of sweetness from the mix of fruits. Next time I am coming back for a bigger breakfast as the plates that went by looked fabulous!

We ordered the catfish with fruit and two eggs over easy which were amazing. My partner ordered a wet burrito which I tasted. Absolutely delicious. They also gave us extra hot salsa which was actually hot and I love hot salsa highly recommended !

Since that first bite of those delicious chilaquiles con milanesa de pollo, my girlfriend and I barely miss any weekends coming here! It's been almost 6 months!!! The food is consistently amazing - even with their takeout. I've yet to have an order come back tasting different than the last. The portions are abundant yet we hardly leave any morsels because of how enjoyable the food is. Our favorite is the chilaquiles, as mentioned, but we've also had a few other plates, like the taquitos, the chorizo plate and skillet, and the enchiladas toluquenas. Overall, I love the authentic homestyle cooking. So much so that this even competes with my mom's cooking... SSHHH!!! The chips and salsa they bring out is tasty. We also love their rice! Also, if you can handle some heat, their spicy red salsa is fantastic! Plenty of heat without losing any of the bold flavor. The staff and restaurant are wonderful! They recently remodeled so the interior is more up-to-date. I do miss the separate individual booths, but they get so busy that the new seating makes more sense. I'm super glad they are constantly busy, and they still get the food out in a timely manner! I hardly write reviews, but I couldn't go without stating how this is one of my favorite restaurants. I am hoping I can make it out this weekend!

The food is ALWAYS amazing! Consistently fresh and the Mexican food specifically is top notch. We love coming here for breakfast/brunch and the prices are so reasonable. Top favorite is the Chilaquiles con Milanesa de pollo and the chorizo and egg alambre. We are trying to take all our friends here eventually lol. Must try!

A New Breakfast Spot for me. The waitresses were very sweet and attentive. Parking was easy to find. I enjoyed my breakfast. I had Chicken Wings, Scrambled Eggs, Home Fries and two Pancakes 🥞 Delicious 😋 Thank you Puerto Nuevo Coffee ☕️ For starting my day off right. I will definitely be back!!! 10 stars Stars.

I have lived in this neighborhood for 12 years and just returned to this restaurant after a long absence. The food and service remain very good. The staff is very friendly. I recommend this as a good spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The menu for this place is put together VERY well. The food is pretty good.

Been coming here for years and they have done nothing but get better with time. Enrique was extremely attentive and courteous. All of the staff here seem to enjoy what they are doing and it shows.
