The food is delicious but super expensive. Customer service is the best . We had dinner (8 people ) they automatically added an 18% tip. It’s ok because the tortillas were delicious 🤤 shrimp 🍤 bowl was amazing. This is a really good restaurant. The waiter was very friendly and he was checking if we needed anything.

Google
Nice place for a late unplanned dinner at almost 9. We got the chips and salsa, a ceviche dish, and the CDMX taco, all are really good. The rice dish is a bit too salty to our taste. Service is superb.

Google
Great food tonight accompanied by an ever better evening crew. Chips and salsa are always a must. The new Cali bowl was delicious and the potato chips on it were a nice surprise! Although way too much corn on the bowl. The corn to bean ratio needs to be fixed. As soon as I sat at the bar I was greeted swiftly by a very attentive bar staff. Sawyer and Mark really know what they are doing and were great tonight! The servers were also wonderful and quick with bringing food out and making me feel taken care of! Thank you Ozzy and Cece, you both were great! Not a bad way to spend a Friday evening!

Google
Great flavors, attentive staff, and a cool setting! We tried the taco of the month (Wagyu brisket), had our fill of chips/guac, and the kids had carnitas tacos. All were delicious! We’ll be back.

Google
We had a great lunch at Puesto. The Palomas were amazing and the short rib enchiladas absolutely delicious! Even the tortilla chips and guacamole were amazing! The service and ambiance are excellent. The only thing I didn’t like was them trying to tack on a 4% surcharge on the bill. I asked our server about it and she said they do that because of the increase in minimum wage, but it’s optional so I asked her to please take it off which she graciously did. Their prices are already very high, and they want to add another charge on top of that too??

Google
Juan was incredibly attentive and checked on our table regularly before and after ordering. He also gave us an extra horchata because they had accidentally made an extra one- which is my absolute favorite thing on the menu. I have autism and sometimes it’s hard for me to use my verbal skills in the way neurotypical people do while ordering food, there are times like today where I had a hard time explaining myself but Juan showed no judgement was very understanding and took my order perfectly, exactly as I wanted it. I’ve been coming to this Puesto for a while now and it’s one of our favorite Mexican places.

Google
The food was good and the Cadillac Margarita was pretty good too. The staff was friendly and attentive. Service was quick. The only criticism is that the items are priced a tad bit higher than I would expect. Charging for chips and salsa is odd to me. Regardless I would come again and I'd recommend it to others.

Google
We had a great experience overall! Peter took excellent care of us—he kept checking in to make sure we were doing well, which we really appreciated. There was a small mix-up with our order, but it was quickly resolved once it was double-checked. The food was delicious, the ambiance was lovely, and the margaritas were amazing—though a bit pricey for the portion size. Still, we enjoyed our time!

Yelp
Alexa, Brandon and Ash gave us a culinary journey. This is our go to for out of this world tacos. The portions are like an optical illusion because they don't look big but they are super filling and the flavor combinations need to be studied. The guacamole sampler is a must. You have a variety of tangy, sweet and savory. The unique burst of the pomegranate. The saltiness of the cheese. The perfect flavor of the classic. We have tried all of the margaritas and have not met one we didn't like. Pro tip: swap salt for tajin. The suiza chicken enchilada is huge! Like wet burrito with a green sauce you want to drink. Favorite tacos are the filet, Baja fish and I do miss the old vegetarian taco. We also like the surf and turn secret menu. The only thing that disappointed is that I don't have room for more. Best tacos in Orange County.

Yelp
Came here on a taco Tuesday which the special is 50% off tacos. The tacos here is a more elevated experience with wagyu, lobster, and mid-upper scale so the tacos are originally priced more expensive but on Tuesday, they come out to be around $7-8. What's also nice is they offer a lettuce style here to substitute the tortilla if you're into that! Service is good, we sat at the bar and enjoyed our Tuesday evening to break up the weekday meals. Ambiance is also festive and fun.
google avatar

Jack W.

Yelp
The tacos here are OK at best. Nothing wrong with them, but nothing special. Their online menu does not mention any prices, which in hindsight was a red flag (and in my opinion, a deceptive practice that these posh restaurants need to stop). Each order comes with one taco that can cost anywhere from $10-$17 and the restaurant recommends ordering 3. I got the quesabirria and brisket tacos, which came out to be pretty underwhelming. I would pass on this place and look for somewhere else around costa mesa if you're in the mood for tacos.

Yelp
We've been coming to Puesto quite a bit because we discovered Taco Tuesdays and Perfect Thursdays lol. Definitely make reservations - we haven't had to wait TOO long for our tables when we do. I take a good look around every time and note how cute the decor is and kind of fit for a nice relaxing time with chips and salsa. So, if you haven't been in a while, chips and salsa costs money now. But if you get a guacamole, the chips and salsa are thrown in. And if you get the guac, I highly recommend the Perfect Guac with the parmesan cheese. I avoided it for the longest time cuz I mean c'mon - parm? But it totally works. Other highly rec apps are the potato taquitos and the shrimp ceviche (with the passionfruit sauce). Yum! They just updated their menu with some new tacos - for this month, they've got an octopus taco - 10/10 recommend. They also have a grilled shrimp taco (they still have their tamarind shrimp) which is 10/10. I also love their Calabacitas taco which replaced their Raya (peppers and cactus) taco. And if you want 3 tacos but don't want to be super full, they can be made with lettuce wraps. The only taco I wasn't a huge fan of was the lobster one. The one time I ordered it, the lobster wasn't the highest quality and I noticed a lot of....antenna meat? Just crumbles. So I haven't gotten it since. Drinks - Coconut margarita Dessert - Pistachio Tres Leche Service is great but just be aware sometimes on Taco Tuesdays, it can take a bit longer. The servers are great about checking in on us, though. Anyway, check it out!

Yelp
This location is waaaay better than the location off Michelson. I came here with 2 others on Taco Tuesday around 5:30PM and it was packed. Good thing we made a reservation! The ambiance was classy and elevated. We had excellent service all throughout out meal- even when the kitchen brought out the wrong tacos for one of my friends. For birthdays, they provide a free tres leches cake or candy shot. They even gave me a free taco coupon with a hand-signed letter from the staff. How sweet is that!? Everything we had was downright delicious. Lobster tacos (unique in flavor and buttery), chicken tacos (juicy and shredded chicken with mango salsa- yes, please), chips and salsa (1 salsa cup per person- that's the way to do it!) and the tres leches cake (so so good, it was unreal). I also love the watermelon margarita made with real watermelon! We really enjoyed our meal here

Yelp
Puesto is also so fun to go to! Our waitress (forgot to get her name) was so nice and on top of it during our dinner! The tacos are incredible and always worth going on a Tuesday for the killer deals! This time around I got the hero taco and the ribeye (new this month). The hero is always absolutely delicious and it's a stable for me but this ribeye one is questionable. The flavors are not my favorite and it wasn't nearly as filling as the other tacos usually on the menu. I'll definitely be coming back but don't think I'll be ordering the ribeye again.

Elisa G.

Yelp
Stopped here for a late lunch and our waiter is so nice and cool. Ordered guacamole and ceviche along with shrimp tacos! Happy taco Tuesday!! I really liked my mushroom tacos. They were tasty and flavorful and I ate all of them Puesto is 100 times better than Javier's as far as flavor and creativity and is wayyyy more reasonably priced. Please don't take that as a reason to jack up the prices!! Cone for the delicious exotic food and stay for the margaritas!

Yelp
My mom and I went here, it was my first time and it was such a great experience! Our server, Jacob, was very attentive, helpful and down to earth. All of our food was delicious!! My mom got a filet mignon taco & Caesar salad, both of which were great! Before our food came out, we shared the guacamole & salsa which was delicious and had good sized pieces of cheese in it which made it soooooooo yummy. We had a minor inconvenience, no need to mention the circumstances, and Elise, the manager came out and was more than accommodating to us. Going here, I realized that all of the staff wants the guests to have that top notch experience and it really shows in their food and service provided!! We also got a dessert, the vanilla ice cream with churros and that was honestly the best I've had in soooooo long. If you want a relaxing yet beyond tasty experience paired with excellent service and friendly staff, you have got to try Puesto!! I'm already looking forward to going here for round 2 Mexican feast! 10/10!! P.s- we sat on the patio and the vibes were immaculate!

Yelp
I recently came back to Puesto, Los Olivios with my coworkers for lunch. We had volunteered down the street and came in for lunch. I've had service issues in the past at the Park Place and Los Olivos Puesto but I was with a group and we were hungry. We were seated just before the rush. Since we were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive about 4 more parties were seated. Our last coworker walked in and we could barely get our server to come take our order. About 15 minutes in she took our drink order and guacamole order with chips . Then she disappeared again. As we watched her run from table to table our drinks and chips arrived 10 minutes later. My drink, Peach and Habanero Margarita, was wrong, it was a regular margarita. I decided instead of flagging her down just to drink it. Our table was frustrated because we were on a time crunch and other tables were waving her down to take their orders. 10 minutes after we got our drinks, we were all looking at the time, we flag down the waitress to take our lunch order. I ordered the Chicken Flautas and I wasn't impressed at all. When the bill came we noticed a 4% surcharge. When we questioned the waitress about it she explained that since they haven't raised their food prices in a while they add a surcharge to the bill. I don't see myself ever eating at Puesto's in the near future. Atmosphere 4/5 Service 1/5 Food 1/5

Yelp
I thought the passion fruit ceviche was unique and good. Very fresh which I loved. Kinda reminded me of a sweet and sour sauce. My 14 year old daughter demolished her tacos. She said they taste nothing like traditional Birria (which we was bummed about initially but then said they were still really good. Chips and salsa so good Service was good. Our intention was to be in and out. The ambiance is so cute! The restaurant is decorated so cute. Perfect for a date night!

Yelp
Every time I come here it's an amazing time! Delicious food and tasty drinks. One of my favorite items on their menu is the filet mignon taco! Their street corn is fire! Their margaritas hit different and the vibe is just right. Happy hour or casual meal. Anytime is good for this place. The service is great and the inside is very cool and clean. Grab your friends and give them a try!

Yelp
Food: 4/5 Ordered 3 tacos all different but all were really tasty and seasoned well. The best in my opinion was the ribeye, tender meat, great portion. The margaritas are really good, make it a Cadillac if you want that extra Flavor! Lol. The rice and beans compliment the tacos well. Service: 5/5 We were at the bar, service was very quick the bartenders were all great and offered their own options. Great staff. Ambiance: 4/5 Great decor, very spacious, love the outdoor seating options. Bar is nicely stocked with some of the best selections.

Yelp
Great ambience and good food. When we first walked in, I appreciated the openness of the restaurant. There was the main restaurant area, the bar and also a side area which was more open to the outside natural lighting. The restaurant had a nice balance of modern and warm earthy decor. Loved the use of the greenery. We ordered the guacamole, potato taquitos, chicken flautas, short rib bowl, mushroom tacos, fish tacos and chopped salad. The food was flavorful but the price point was a little on the high side. One taco is about $10 and for 3 chicken flautas it was $23. We were also hoping for a little more vegetarian options. The hostess that seated was warm and friendly. The service however felt a little slow even though the restaurant was not busy. We also had to flag her down a few times to get her attention. Overall we had a nice experience. We enjoyed the ambience and the taste of the food. It would be a nice option for a date, a celebration or a friendly get together.

Yelp
There are high-end restaurants in places like Las Vegas and Beverly HIlls that serve plates with beautifully presented morsels of food that can be eaten in two bites for an exorbitant price. This restaurant pretends to be one of those but their attempt at being upscale fails miserably as they are a bogus version of such places. We came for a quick dinner and sat inside rather than the patio. The interior is colorfully decorated with lots of greenery everywhere. We were provided complimentary chips and salsa and also ordered an overpriced bowl of guacamole. I decided on two carnitas tacos and a horchata to drink. Service was fast but impersonal. My horchata was served in a small, thin glass and within 4 or 5 sips was gone. Admittedly, it was an excellent drink with a vibrant cinnamon flavor...but tiny. My tacos were little, blue corn tortillas and consisted of tender pork with crispy (aka: burned) cheese and tomatillo sauce along with a slice of avocado. They were good and presented beautifully but not worth the ridiculous price. Give me a legit street taco over these any day. My wife got two filet mignon tacos, which I can't comment on, other than her two amounted to $24 (my two totalled $20). Add a 4% surcharge (a mystery charge that should just be labeled "mandatory tip for management" and generally just pisses me off) and add the server's tip and tax...our total came out to over $80 for: four small tacos, a child's size horchata, and a small bowl of guacamole. We left still hungry. Look, the food was delicious but the prices charged are inarguably excessive. I NEVER complain about prices, especially if the food and service are worth it, but what Puesto charges for what they deliver is ludicrous.

Yelp
Puesto feels like a gem in the area! Great food, great vibes, and awesome service! What more could I want? Inside has a modern yet rustic feel, with beautiful plant accents along the walls. It's a great place to dine casually or you can swing a date here. We love to get the fancy guacamoles they offer. They come with different toppings that are really unique but all have been delicious. If you dont want that, the chips and salsa are delicious too. I can't really control myself when I have chips and salsa in front of me so I try not to overdo it so I have room for my meal! My husband likes their tacos; they have a great ribeye taco! My favorite thing here are the potato taquitos. Those and a horchata makes for a perfect meal for me. The horchata is some of the best I have had anywhere! I'm not sure if they make it in house but it tastes like they do. Our daughter likes the kids quesadilla meal, and the kids meals come with a fun little coloring page with these waxed strings. I hadn't seen these before but we all had fun with them! Really a fun way to keep a kid entertained at the table. We have tried a couple of their desserts; there was a choco flan thing that was absolutely delicious and a tropical mango cake dessert that actually looks like a mango. That one was also really nice with refreshing fruity flavors! But I think I liked the chocolate flan/cake one more. They change desserts seasonally so I have more things I need to try! Parking is plentiful; Puesto is located in a large shared parking lot so we never have any trouble finding a place to park. The staff here are great and super attentive, too! They always make sure we have whatever we need. On our first visit I felt bad because my daughter spilled her drink, but our server was nice about it and cleaned it up. I try not to leave a mess when we dine out, but if a kid spills a drink we have to let staff know so nobody slips. Overall this is a great place for lunch, dinner, special events, etc. They have a private area for a large group so you can have a birthday dinner, baby shower, wedding rehearsal dinner, or whatever you need! Just make sure to get some fun guac for the table :)

Yelp
I love coming to Puesto because I really enjoy the food and drinks. They recently changed up the menu, so there are a lot of new cocktail options plus tacos. This time around I only came for drinks and had a Cucumber Margarita and a Watermelon Margarita. I loved the Watermelon because it wasn't too sweet. The Cucumber Margarita was pretty refreshing but seemed to lack some flavor.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. Everything was great. food is tasty. Service was good. I was disappointed when I got my bill and there's a 4% surcharge added in on top of the bill. Very sneaky.
google avatar

Sahar V.

Yelp
Shout out to Emily! We had the best service and the best food tonight. I've never had better tacos in my life. Coming back next Tuesday haha 10/10 you gotta try this place!
google avatar

Maddison H.

Yelp
Fun interior and a nice patio! The ambiance is a big part of the experience. They give free chips & salsa at each table (2 for large parties) and have really good margaritas! I got the shrimp taco- very good, 3 pieces of shrimp and a very good somewhat sweet & limey sauce, and the ribeye taco. The ribeye was a little disappointing, I wasn't a fan of the sauce and the meat was fatty. They are "fancy" street tacos and definitely overpriced. It's a fun place to be, they also offer plates and salads but I haven't tried those yet. Service was very friendly & attentive- present and responsive but not overbearing
google avatar

Yelp
This upscale Mexican restaurant was easy to get to with sufficient parking. It's relatively large with seating for just about everyone's comfort. For today's lunch we chose their patio: there was ample shade and a nice warm breeze. We started by sharing their Taco Plate, Filet Minion. As you can see it's a single soft shell taco. The featured beef was incredibly tender and the sauce was rich and spicy. The slice of avocado was a good cooling compliment. The tortilla was a great visual enhancement (see my pic), and still held up well with the sauce. We followed this with the Short Rib Enchilada. Again, this was nicely presented (see my pic) with the fresh greens and avocado fan against the earthy-red enchilada sauce. The short rib was very tender and plentiful. The sauce was very zingy. So the avocado was a welcome refreshment. Overall the food was good and the service was efficient. The pricing is what you'd expect in O.C. They also add a 4% surcharge (it is posted at the bottom of one of the menu pages), before taxes.
google avatar

Daniel L.

Yelp
The food was wonderful. I ordered the Short Rib Enchiladas; it came with two of them sitting in a wonderful sauce. It was beautifully made, I've never had short rib enchiladas before. They were wonderful. The meet inside was cooked perfectly not dry at all with just the right amount of cheese. The short ribs were the star of this plate. My cousin ordered shrimp tacos, I was able to try them and the shrimp was perfectly cooked and the salsa was just right. The price was expensive, but you truly get what you pay for. The food was amazing! I will be back! Oh yeah, we finished the meal with a Watermelon Candy shot. It was one tasty shot! The service seems to be sub par, as we had our meals miss placed when they brought the food, they also brought food we did not order and our drinks took awhile to be refilled. It was a Wednesday night and not all the tables were filled, so maybe the staff was just under scheduled.

Yelp
Always enjoy happy hour here, and Taco Tuesday (but it gets so full!). Food is just ok besides a couple things that are my fav. Service and drinks and ambiance EXCELLENT! Server, team was great. Beautiful interior.

Yelp
Always a fan of Puesto. This location might be my favorite - the outdoor patio is just so chill. Honestly, Puesto never misses. The food is always excellent and the service is always friendly and attentive, even on busy nights. I came here with colleagues after a work conference. We honestly just ordered a bit of everything. For me the standouts are the secret menu tacos. The Hero is the stuff of legend. I hadn't previously tried the pistachio tres leches. I ordered it to go since not everyone was getting dessert. By the time I got back to the hotel some of the milk spilled and it got a bit messy. I'm not sure why it would be packaged in a cardboard takeaway box... that said, it was one of the best tres leches I have ever had - 10/10! I need to go back and see what it's like to have it at the restaurant. Definitely the best, most unique bite I had that night. But frankly, everything was delicious. It always is.

Yelp
Heard many San Diego peeps rave about this spot and how they decided to go for the elevated Mexican cuisine. The ambience is very dim and intimate. Knowing that, do expect higher prices but higher quality ingredients. Yes, one taco is like the cost of one meal somewhere else, but if you try it, you can see why it's priced at that point. The good thing is, is that if you love their tacos, they have TACO TUESDAY deals that is only available during dine-in. Half off on tacos, which is a pretty good deal. I would recommend making a reservation to avoid having to wait, especially if you're going during the weekend. || L O C A T I O N / P A R K I N G || There are two locations in Irvine, one in Los Olivos Marketplace) and the other in Park place. This one is across Irvine Spectrum -Cross Streets are -Located in the same plaza (Los Olivos as Whole Foods, Burnt Crumbs, Marufuku Ramen and more! -Plenty of parking || F O O D / D R I N K S || Watermelon Margarita $18 - Asked our server for a recommendation and he gave me this one or the cucumber margarita. He explained this one to be like drinking a watermelon jolly rancher. It tasted exactly how he describe it except not as sweet which was good for me! Passion Fruit & Mango Shrimp Ceviche $18- Got this as an appetizer and I enjoyed the flavors of each bite. Shrimp tasted fresh! Filet Mignon Taco $11- So I have a pistachio allergy so I had to get it without the salsa, but let me tell you, it was still so good and flavorful without it, so I can't imagine how much more flavorful it would be with the salsa. This was my favorite out of all the tacos that I got that I even ordered a 2nd one because I couldn't stop thinking about it. Love that they wrap the meat around a layer of cheese, ughhhhhh I want this now Lobster Taco $17- Soooo good, my 2nd favorite. There was a decent amount of lobster in the taco. It is quite pricey, so I would probably only get it if it was during Taco Tuesday Tamarindo Shrimp Taco $11- We originally wanted the birria taco but they ran out for the night so this was the server's recommendation. This one was pretty good, came with three shrimps in each taco. Flavors meshed well with each other and the shrimp didn't taste rubbery. Baja Fish Tacos $10 - This wasn't bad but nothing particularly special about it, you can definitely get better baja fish tacos somewhere else, so I would personally pass on this considering they have other seafood options that are better in my opinion.

Yelp
Fantastic mid day recharge, birria taco was phenomenal and margarita did not disappoint. From the hostess to my server Jonathan service was pitch perfect!

Yelp
I had thought I had made a reservation for that specific day but it moved me to the day after. I was still able to go on the day and time I wanted as I was in the area. I loved the staff, the food, the wine, and the atmosphere was immaculate. I will be going again! I want to thank the restaurant for working with me.

Yelp
Even though I live out of town now, I make it a point to stop by whenever I'm nearby--it's always worth it. The tacos are the standout here. Shrimp is hands down my favorite: perfectly crispy with a tangy tamarind sauce that I haven't seen anywhere else. The mushroom taco is also a surprise hit--super flavorful and great for vegetarians. The carnitas are juicy with a nice sear, and the fish taco has a fresh, citrusy kick. Mark, our bartender, is always fantastic--friendly, attentive, and great with recommendations. His service is a big reason why I keep coming back. Top it all off with a house margarita during happy hour, and you've got a winning combo. Great food, great drinks, and great people--can't wait for the next visit.

Yelp
Hands down, Puesto serves some of the best gourmet tacos around, especially when you catch their amazing Taco Tuesday deals. My go-to favorite is the filet mignon taco, absolutely delicious! And if you're vegetarian, you'll love the mushroom Taco, it's packed with flavor. Regarding dessert, this is not their area of expertise , I personally did not like the pistachio Tres Leche at all, it has this very tangy feel to it that I really did not enjoy it at all but I mainly go for the tacos so this will not change my rating by any way shape or form. I've been coming to Puesto nearly every Tuesday for the past seven years, and today we had an outstanding experience thanks to our server, Ash. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Honestly, his level of service was some of the best we've received in the last couple of years. He truly deserves recognition! maybe even a promotion.

Yelp
Food// Chips and molcajete salsa were good. Chips lightly salted pairing well with the slightly smoky flavor of the salsa with a hint of spicy kick at the end. The Chicken Al Pastor was a bit disappointing. The melted cheese was crispy but was too burnt for my taste and I couldn't really taste the hibiscus because of the burnt char. Waiter kindly exchanged the taco for a Tamarindo Shrimp taco which I really liked. You can taste the tamarind. The blue corn tortillas being handmade and organic were soft and warm. Prices are a bit pricey for a taco to be honest but the flavors somewhat compensate. Service// Waiter courteously check in periodically and refilled water. Food came out at a decent time considering this is a sit-down restaurant. Ambiance// Love the interior with the plants and classy vibes. Great for hangout and date night. They also have a bar service.

Yelp
This was not my first visit. I met a friend for taco Tuesday - we sat at the bar inside. The girl bartender was put off when I asked her to clean the area where I was sitting. She was not client polished, to be working at a bar. She had a face piercing, which is fine but keep it clean and well. It was having is sides and was unpleasant to look at. It took 1 hour to get someone to take our order. It's off season in California so it was not busy, they were not good bartenders/waiters. They never once asked us if we needed anything and we had to flag them down to get an order in. I left $2.00 as a tip, which is too much. The staff here clearly does not like their job.

Yelp
This spot offers fusion Mexican cuisine with a nice interior and elevated presentation, though it does make it a little more on the expensive side. The standout to me was the passionfruit and mango shrimp ceviche, it was refreshing and the flavors complimented each other well! The filet mignon taco was also good, though a little bit too salty with the cheese. However, some of the fusion aspects did not work for me, like the blocks of Parmesan in the guacamole. A lot of the dishes were also sweeter than I expected.

Yelp
Came after work for drinks and appetizers & it did not disappoint! Loved the fresh Chicharrones with the lime squirted all over and the guac with the parm! So good. The coconut margarita was absolutely delish.. highly recommend this spot- can't wait to try their main dishes!

Yelp
We are back! We had a not so good experience a while back but the general manager reached out to invite us to try again. Puesto is a place our family frequents, especially during the summer so it feels good to be back. A welcoming face when we walked in, very attentive server, & one of my favorite chips & salsa. Delicious tip: you can ask for certain taco flavors in bowl form. Not going to lie, the short rib bowl was devoured! Short rib was good but I found myself digging out all the corn & rice! ‍ I forget how much I like Puesto rice:)

Yelp
Lovely service but the quality of the tacos needs to be better. Really small tacos, overpowering salt laced flavors.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Tuesday for their 50% off deal. The wait for an indoor table was 30+ mins so we went with the patio seat that was ready with no wait. The host was welcoming and turned up the outdoor heater for us. Great service by Sawyer. We did chips and salsa, 2 drinks, 3 tacos each, and shared the pumpkin spiced chocoflan. My favorite taco was the shrimp, my husband's was the short rib birria. Our order was tasty, accurate, and came out in a timely manner.

Yelp
Great location with a lot of parking and tables. This is my 3rd time here as the first two times I went during happy hour and got mainly drinks. It has great decor and some nice outside tables if you like sun like me. Ended up coming here for lunch with my team and it was alright. I know it's definitely busy during lunch time so it was a little slow. Food: - I originally ordered the shrimp taco but my coworker ate it so I had the fish taco instead which was pretty good. 5/5 - Chicken Al Pastor taco was good but for some reason I ended up biting into some stringy thing that was really hard and was not edible. 3/5 - Watermelon Agua Fresca was solid Overall, if you want really upscale Mexican food definitely give it a shot. However, I'd only recommend going during happy hour only because for the price point I personally don't think it's worth it for me to pay $23 for 2 tacos. I'll try making my own flautas for half the price.

Yelp
Virgin drinks are great! Love the ambiance, friendly staff, clean restrooms. The tacos are a bit pricey for one buts its big and flavorful. Beware the sides of rice and beans that are a few extra bucks....its a big serving! Caught us off guard so we took most of it home. Overall great experience, came back with a group of friends.

Yelp
We got seated right away on a Friday around 7:30pm. Everything we ordered was delicious and would get again: - Nogada (guac w/ candied walnuts and pomegranate) - potato taquitos - mushroom & shrimp tacos - frozen horchata - chocoflan Parking was easy. The restaurant wasn't super crowded. Make sure to use the 10% off from checking into yelp!

Yelp
Sitting solidly in the "meh" category of overpriced casual dining, Puesto would have you believe it is an upscale experience worth every nickel and dime you'll spend. Except you'll be out more than just nickels and dimes - more like $5's and $10's. Wife and I ordered drinks and guacamole when we were seated. Cadillac margarita is...fine. Nothing standout about it, but what can there be - it's a margarita. Wife ordered a fruity margarita - I think it was mango? Honestly so unremarkable as to be unmemorable. Guacamole was decent in my opinion, but you'll be giving your teeth and jaw a workout on chips as thick as cardboard with a similar consistency. We both ordered tacos. I, the taco of the month and a filet taco. Taco of the month was a grilled shrimp creation with cabbage and some sort of yuzu cream sauce. Taste was ok but texture was where the three overcooked and rubbery shrimp really had a chance to shine. To be fair and credit where due, the filet taco was very tasty. My wife ordered the chicken al pastor taco and was singularly unimpressed. There was nothing wrong with it but also, nothing to make it stand out in any way. Top the meal off with a mystery 4% service charge and we came in just shy of $100 after tax but before tip. One bright spot for us was the service. Our waitress was lovely and the food was brought quickly To sum up: we live in Southern California folks. There are many, MANY better places for tacos that aren't as expensive. And there are places that are similarly priced but with superior food. Why line the pockets of a limited chain that appears content to coast on whatever reputation it had built in the past?

Yelp
Came here with my friends and service was good. Food was also good, a bit expensive. They do have Taco Tuesdays 3-9pm where tacos are half off. They also have happy hours Mon-Fri 3-5pm. The filet mignon taco was really good and tender. The avocado and pistachio serrano salsa added depth to the taste. The shrimp taco was not bad.

Yelp
This is my favorite Puesto location, and today was yet another reminder of why I love it. We hadn't visited in a while, but our server, Anthony R., made the experience exceptional from start to finish. We stopped in on our way home hoping for a quick dinner to wrap up the birthday weekend celebration, and Puesto delivered. Anthony gave spot-on salsa recommendations, and his suggestion to try the tres leches for dessert was the perfect finishing touch--absolutely delicious. Great service, great food, and a great way to end the day. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place is so overpriced :'') what in the world hahah I was lowkey shocked that each taco is 9-12 dollars. And chips and salsa aren't even included :o Besides the price, the tacos were pretty good and did seem to be high quality. I'd definitely only come back for their Taco Tuesday lol bc that's crazyy. You're definitely coming for the vibes here.

Yelp
Our server, Peter, was so great! He was friendly, picked out great salsas for us, and recommended the perfect mezcal for my drink. We also appreciated that he gave us a heads up that the tacos would be a wait and kept the drinks and salsas coming while we waited. Thanks for a fun taco Tuesday, Peter!

Yelp
Taco Tuesday is the time to go! Street taco size tacos are around $5-$6 each on that day (which is 50% off their usual $10-$12 each). I've had all of the different tacos and my favorite are the mushroom and the boneless short rib tacos. I have gone with my friends and with my husband and service is always pretty good. A couple times at the bar, one of the bartenders (female) was and has been consistently grumpy. But all the servers we've had if we sit at a table have been great! Recently, I brought my young adult daughter and our server, Ash, was very attentive and efficient and got our orders right. We'll be going again!

Yelp
We still like puesto a lot. The food is excellent and fresh. My favorite is the short rib taco. We've been customers for years, since they first opened. I remember when the tacos were 3/$15. Now it's $12 for ONE tiny taco. I get we are dealing with inflation but this seems really extreme. We will still come here, but definitely less often when visiting CA. Also, we made a reservation last time we came and the website asks if there's an occasion for the visit. I checked off "anniversary" because my husband and I are celebrating 24 years. We thought maybe we would be wished a happy anniversary or get a drink or a dessert but it wasn't even acknowledged. Not sure why they bother to ask this.

Yelp
I don't do reviews often but this is warranted! I planned a surprise celebration event at Puesto Los Olivos. I had the pleasure of working with Nicole whom is the Event Manager & the incredible Los Olivos Staff specifically CeCe, Alina, the manager on site & bartender (my sincerest apologies for forgetting their names on 2/8). Event was held in the patio which is beautiful & spacious. Not only mine but our family/friends were impressed by the amazing customer service that was provided to us. The Puesto details in making the celebration so personal (ex. menus), the pace/flow of food being brought out & the display station consistently replenished when needed without asking. The food quality & taste is chefs kiss! Cece & Alina went above and beyond during the event. I had a guest that unfortunately has an allergy that I was unaware of & they were quick to respond/accommodate tacos to ensure they could enjoy/consume. They really partnered with me through out the evening. Constantly checking to make sure everything was going well, if anything was needed & ensuring I was eating as they probably knew I busy making sure everyone was having a good time. The communication & transparency from the initial inquiry, working through details, the evening of the event & post event was exceptional, seamless and impressive. I can go on but highly recommend Puesto Los Olivos for your future events. Thank you Puesto for being part of our celebration!

Yelp
This is my friend and I's go to place to catch up and enjoy great food. Our server Anthony R. was great. He was friendly, attentive and really made sure our orders were perfect. The ambiance of this place is really nice. Their drinks are always great and as usual, we always get the mushroom and tamarind shrimp. Their Habanero salsa is so addictive. Recommend this location.

Yelp
Taco Tuesdays are the best at Puesto! Every taco we've had here has been delicious, you can definitely taste the quality ingredients used.
