HOTEL PUG SEAL POLANCO ALLAN POE

The property is in a lovely location off the main street in Polanco. Beautiful historical house (although our room was in an attached out building). The bed was comfortable, good quality linens and the bathroom had a nice shower. Breakfast was very good with both cold and hot items included. The front hall table always has drinks and snacks which is a lovely extra. We would stay again.

Delightful experience. Beautiful and cozy hotel. Their breakfast food is incredible. The rooms are beautifully designed and spacey. Please know there's not any amenities. I recommend this boutique hotel. The area is pretty and safe. Many restaurants are nearby and close to tourist destinations.

The location is superb, the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The room was lovely with a balcony and a view of treetops. I think everything about this hotel is close to five stars, except it lacks amenities that some travelers require like a pool, gym, or restaurant. I would definitely stay again.

Second time at Pug Seal Allan Poe. The service is exceptional! They will organize a driver for pick up or for touring. The rooms are in a mansion converted into a b and b. It is very clean, great beds, interesting art work everywhere, and cleaned daily. It is in a quiet location in Polanco near many fabulous restaurants. The breakfast is delicious, varied, and huge portions! The staff are the best… responsive, thorough, kind, and helpful with suggestions and recommendations. Can’t wait to go back! Also, we had to change travel plans at last moment and they gave us a credit, which we used when we were able to travel. We love CDMX and Pug Seal. Beautiful property! An absolutely fantastic hotel. Beautifully designed, the lobby and common areas are gorgeous and inviting, and the rooms are comfortable and smartly laid out (I stayed in a standard, my mom stayed in an executive room). The staff was friendly and welcoming. Comfortable beds, great water pressure, delicious breakfast, and in a great neighborhood. 10000% recommended!

This is my second stay in as many years in Mexico City. Pros: intimate and charming, inexpensive and quirky, in an incredibly convenient location. Cons: We were here during Art Week and the hotel's priority given the visiting partiers was a bit annoying; for instance, there was an art event in the hotel during several nights of our stay. A partier entered our bedroom by mistake (?) and the band played on.. and on..Needless to say, the hotel was suited for celebration mode versus rest mode. |With that said, breakfast staff was intimate and wanted to please. The front desk staff were always willing to help and offer directions. I would highly recommend for the price point and the neighborhood.

Our stay at Pug Seal was top notch in every way! Check in was smooth and very friendly. Our room had a very comfortable king bed, bathroom with a tub and shower, a small balcony and roomy closet. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional! A menu with many choices and staff went out of their way to serve you in any way they could. We were traveling with our son and his family and we appreciated the fruit snacks always available in the lobby. Coffee and water were also available at all times. Our room was on the 2nd floor and no elevator so would not be suitable for those with accessibility issues. The neighborhood is very safe and walkable. Highly recommend this charming hotel!

While in Polanco , and located between Horacio and Mazaryk , Allan Poe Street is quiet and wide , therefore a breath of calm rooms are nice , the have a snacks and fruit station , with an occasional small sandwich , complimentary. Staff is incredibly helpful and nice. Definitely coming back.

After a heartbreak with a travel companion, I needed to find a hotel room in the Polanco area on very short notice. The staff at the Pug Seal on Tennyson was fantastic to get me relocated to the Pug Seal on Edgar Allan Poe just a few blocks away. I was greeted by Paula, who was incredibly thoughtful and warm, and immediately offered free beer and tequila to take the edge off a bad situation. She was wonderful and fun and charming. She speaks English exceptionally well. The hotel is wonderfully appointed. Rooms include a complimentary mini-bar, USB wall ports, TV, slippers, robe, and en-suite private bathroom with rain shower head. Tequila, fruit, and coffee are available in common areas all-day/night. Complimentary beer is also available. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has a wonderful outdoor common area and courtyard that is lit with subtle lights to create a phenomenal ambiance. Classic bellhop service makes everything a breeze, and a private car and driver is available upon request. The location is only a block off bustling Marsyk and it's high-end retail stores and fine dining with outdoor cafes.

The service was very welcoming and staff follows up to make sure your experience is a comfortable and private. The hotel offers 24/7 security and the location is prime. Breakfast was homemade and deliciously served by a personalized cook who was welcoming and professional. The decor and architecture were the best part of the experience. The hotel itself is a residence that was turned into a boutique hotel. The lobby is small, but provides a nice sitting area for guests to sit and relax. The lobby also displays a great selection of books and tequila for patrons.

Exclusive design and homy environment. Quiet and confortable with a small enjoyable garden and chill out sitting room. We really felt at home at this unique small and cosy boutique hotel. I don't think I have ever written a review on anything but this hotel was so great I felt I needed to. This small boutique hotel located in a beautiful historic building is so beautiful and full of character. The staff was amazing. Very accommodating and happy. They have menu full of great food and drink that are included in your room fee. The dining area and lobby are very comfortable and inviting. I couldn't wait to get up in the morning and head down there for coffee and breakfast. Our room was very clean and the bed and pillows very comfortable. If you are coming to Mexico City I would highly suggest you stay at the pug seal.
