Veteran Roasters is building a brewpub in Pullman | Eater Chicago

"A veteran-focused roastery, brewpub, and cafe planned for Pullman that aims to hire homeless and at-risk veterans and connect them with subsidized housing. The two-story restaurant will feature a rooftop terrace with skyline views, seating for about 75–100 customers, and a drive-thru; construction is slated to begin next year with a 2024 opening target. Backed by a community development group, the project is expected to create roughly 55–65 jobs, partner with a local brewer for beer offerings, and play a central role in neighborhood revitalization while continuing the mission of moving veterans out of shelters and into stable employment and housing." - Tony Tran

Its more than just a coffee shop. They have a nice historical display about the people who lived in these Pullman company houses and a series of videos you can watch to learn about some of the interested former residents. Worth the walk across the street if you are visiting the Pullman National Historical Park.

Coffee was excellent. Pastries were delicious and the service was great. Super nice little coffee shop in a unique location. If you don't live in the area it's definitely worth a stop out on a weekend. I liked that it was open relatively early on a Sunday. Definitely give this place a shot.

This is the CUTEST coffee shop to ever exist. The service and staff are so warm, friendly, and accommodating. The ambiance is perfect for a morning beverage and pastry. There is outdoor space to enjoy when the weather is nice. They welcome people of all ages and backgrounds (always a diverse crowd inside). Most importantly, the coffee is delicious!

South-side gem! ☕️✨ This coffee shop is SO much more than just a coffee shop- right in the middle of Historic Pullman with a beautiful view of the Pullman National Historical Park, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff, great coffee, muffins, work space, and tours! The owners were very engaging and introduced me to the videos playing in the back that focus on Pullman’s history and the coffee-shop establishment. Beautiful place to get work done, stop by for coffee with a friend, learn about Pullman’s history, or just drop in for delicious hot coffee on your way to work!

Great service, great coffee and a very special atmosphere. It's hands down the prettiest coffeeshop in the city of Chicago.

What a wonderful addition to the Pullman NP area. Wonderful home with historic decor. Very kind barista who creates delicious coffee and tea drinks. It is a welcome stop after a cold day walking around Pullman. So glad these buildings are being restored. Such a treasure to the city. We will be back to tour the Pullman homes.

What a quiet and community centered environment in such a pretty historic home. Today I got a blueberry muffin and a matcha latte. Both were delicious. The ladies at the counter were so kind ♡ Love this place and will definitely be back.
