Pummarola Coral Gables "Pizza Napoletana"

Best Italian (Neapolitan style) pizza in Miami. Always the best option. In the center of Coral Gables , don’t think twice, I know what I am saying, I am from Naples Italy and this is as close as it gets when it comes to a pizza napoletana !!!! They also sell Italian typical cookies and other Italian specialties. When you go, Tell them that Flavia sent you !😉

Very good pizza napolitana, in a cozy downtown gables restaurant with cafe vibes and a handful of tables. The premade pizzas are all interesting and pretty good, but the highlight is the chewy crust and good ingredients. The Prosciutto and Arugula Pizza is interesting that the prosciutto, arugula, and thick cut Parmesan are all placed unbaked on the pizza, almost like a salad pizza.

Had friends visiting who love pizza so decided to stop by and grab something to eat. The staff is very friendly and there are a few tables to dine inside. The food is delcious and the ingredients taste fresh. The pizzas are big as well.

The pizza was horrible. I am a huge pizza lover. And tried other locations of this franchise down by Fort Lauderdale. But I must say the worst pizza place I have ever been to has to be this one, the cheese was not even fully melted and the whole thing was runny with tomato sauce. The bread was warm but the center of the pizza was cold. Avoid this place for pizza.

I have been coming here for years and I have never had a bad experience whether carry out, delivery or dining. The care and love that is put into this restaurant really shows. I’ve been to this location on Aragon Ave., the Falls and Midtown and all food, quality and service is consistent. They’re all incredible and pricing is great. This time we dined in and Julio Cesar took care of us. He was very quick and attentive. I have no favorites on the actual menu other than this is my favorite pizza in miami, period. I personally like very soft, traditional dough and Pummarola gets it right, EVERY TIME. The pasta is delicious and all the appetizers are delicious, especially the mozzarella sticks. This time we tried the butter Parmesan tortellini and that was great as an appetizer to share. We tried a panuozzo too and that is like a panini with pizza dough as the bread…so good! The Nutella pizza is my favorite on their menu and my absolute favorite in miami. It is so soft, LOADED with Nutella, bananas and strawberries. Can’t wait to be back!

Pummarola in Coral Gables is my go-to pizzeria. Great pizzas and pasta, fast and good service. This place remind us small pizza places in Italy. I personally love the calzone and my wife the prosciutto and arugula pizza - she says it is best in town

My new favorite Pizza Spot! The pizza here is incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor! The prices are affordable, and the ambiance is perfect for a relaxed meal. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and courteous, making the experience even better. I have tried both dine in and take out and the quality is the same. Highly recommend!

Ordered on uber eats. Very cheap on the sauce for a fettuccine bolognese. I submitted a complaint to Uber and they denied it, even though the picture I provided looks nothing like the picture of the item posted by the merchant on uber when you are ordering. The merchants response was to send me a promo for a free item, IF I spend $30. Which is an insult to injury. If an Italian restaurant has to cut back on the sauce to save money, they should probably fire their marketing team or provider. Probably won’t be ordering from here again.

Very long overdue review for one of the most underrated pizzas in Miami. Pummarola is a modest restaurant with incredible pizza energy. If you've ever wanted to bite into a fluffy pillow of perfectly bubbled dough Pummarola is serving up the pies you need. The crust is absolutely divine, giving you a true Napoli experience without the jet lag. The sauce and cheese they use on their pies combine to give you a delicious slice that really doesn't need anything else. You will leave full. You will leave happy. And you will come back not once, not twice... The people whose work there are incredibly friendly and willing to work with you on any special accommodations. And the place is decorated as modesty as their prices. A tea breath of fresh air in a city with designer pies that look but don't taste good. Pummarola gives you everything you want, and won't break you wallet either.

This Pummarola location is nice and clean. I ordered some food for pick up and it was ready when I arrived, the staff was friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. The salad was definitely nothing special, I agree with some of the other reviews that next time I would just skip it and get another pizza instead! The highlight was the pizza! It was delicious and the crust had great flavor and good topping options. The spaghetti carbonara was flavorful but pretty oily, not sure I would order it again.

The service was great. Mari was super sweet and helpful. The food was delicious. Would recommend to anyone that likes good pasta and pizza. The tiramisu was delicious too!

I ordered a pizza with gluten free crust for the first time from here. I never expect gluten free to taste like regular crust, but it was exceptionally bad from here. The issue was it wasn't cooked all the way through and the dough was super soft. I couldn't eat most of it due to how undercooked it was. I ordered it online to be delivered so I wasn't able to ask for it to be cooked more. I've had really crispy gf crusts from other places and it just doesn't seem like they have a good gf option here unfortunately.

Nice food very tasty can't wait to go again they have great pizza too but I love the tortellini especially with their red sauce no need for red peppers

Came for lunch with friends after a long day of walking and stumbled upon this little place. When walking in we were greeted with friendly faces and the atmosphere felt homey. We ordered the Mozzarella Sticks, Spaghetti Carbonara, Tortellini Pesto, Meat Lovers Pizza, and Rústica Pizza. The food came out very quickly and was made fresh. The Mozzarella Sticks were crispy on the outside and the cheese was very stringy. The Spaghetti Carbonara had a great balance with the sauce and pasta, neither one overpowered the other. The Tortellini Pesto was a bit more on the oily side but the flavor was incredible. The Meat Lovers Pizza and Rústica Pizza were both thin yet sturdy pizzas. They held all the toppings that were on them and they had the perfect crust to them. The meatballs on the Meat Lovers were phenomenal and it had the perfect ratio of toppings. The Rústica was balanced perfectly as well. The fries were not salted to there's no need to worry about the pizza being too salty. The taste of the bacon added the saltiness to the fries and came together beautifully. Each dish had the perfect amount because they were all personal sized servings and they were customizable as well. For the pastas you can choose any type of sauce for any pasta, and you could add or take off items from the pizzas. This place may be small but they have quick service, amazing food, and a great atmosphere.

We love Pummarola! We have visited both locations and they are both awesome. The food is delicious, the best Italitan food you can find in South Florida at the best price! I always have the lasagna which is about $13 abd the sizing is generous. My boyfriend always gets either the pesto pasta with chicken or he makes his own pasta which is always so delish. Their restaurants are dog friendly which is always appreciated as a fellow dog mom. I always recommend this place to anyone that is craving Italian. Must try!! 10/10 LOVE LOVE LOVE.

We just received our order. It's not edible unfortunately. We got two pizzas, spaghetti with marinara and a meatball. Both pizzas were not cooked thoroughly. The crust was very dough-y and mushy. Hardly any sauce. I couldn't finish a single slice. The pasta barely had any sauce and was dry. The meatball was burnt, and as you can see by the bubbled sauce, it was dry as well. We would not come back here.

We ordered the Pizza 500, the fried Calzone, and the Nutella Crepe. The pizza and calzone are one of the best representations of what you could find of a Neapolitan gastronomy. They could use more ingredients to flavor up the portions, but overall they were good. Service was fast and on top of details. Ambiance very chill and casual.

Pumarola Pizzeria in the Gables is truly a hidden gem. We stumbled upon a pizza making class they offered, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. Not only did we have a blast learning how to make our pizzas, but the flavors were also exceptional. always my go to pizza place in the gables area, love the ambiance of this place, the staff is so friendly and welcoming and the pizza is always perfect. I love Neapolitan style pizza and this place is tops for me in Miami when it comes to that style, they use great products for the their pies, quality cheese and sauce, the pizza industry has changed a lot but they always stick to their roots.

The Nutella Calzone from Pummarola Is the dessert calzone of your dreams. Made up of sweet pizza dough stuffed with Nutella and dusted with powdered sugar. You can add strawberries and bananas as well.

I was in the area to my way home and decided to stop a buy something quick to go as there was a lot of traffic and I was hungry. Is not my first time coming to Pummarola but it's been a while since I've been here and I'm just surprised of how bad it got! The pizza was terrible! It tasted like nothing! The sauce and the cheese were completely tasteless!! Just terrible! Never again!

Great pizza with that yummy chewy crust. Always get delivery so haven't dined inside. But everything I've ordered from meatballs to the Nutella crepe was great.

I love this place and get their pizzas delivered to my hotel every time I'm in town. Their prices are reasonable for a 10in neapolitan pizza and they don't skimp on the amount of toppings. In fact, because of how floppy the slices are, you're like to have the toppings falling off as you eagerly try to shove the slice in your mouth. I've had both the margarita and the veggie pizza. The veggie features roasted eggplant and squash along with the usual assortments of mushrooms and green peppers. The margarita's cheese can slip off due to the olive oil they drench on it.

I used to love this place. It was my favorite place. I wonder if they sold the restaurant? It used to be a couple of Italians that worked there and everything was always good! Specially that pizza Al tartufo cream, which is supposed to have truffles. We ordered it today and you could only taste the truffle a bit after you ate the pizza. Seems like the ingredient recipe changed. Also both of our pizzas had a strange flavor and smell of girly perfume. Not sure if someone in the kitchen was spraying something around the food. Also the place had a lot of dust on the decorations. Please make this place like it was before!!! I really loved it before. But now I don't think I'll return to this location. Excellent Neapolitan style pizza and one of my favorites in the city. Definitely my go-to! Excellent price, chewy yummy dough, cheesy and great sauce! What really drove me to write this review however, is their Caesar salad. Pretty basic, standard - right? WRONG! I don't know how they make their croutons but they are NEXT LEVEL! The dressing: divine. And they give you two containers for delivery because nobody likes a dry Caesar... This is one meal you should eat all the carbs and dressing. All of them. Especially the croutons.

Came here for a pizza making class and it was such a great experience! The restaurant itself is small but cozy, few tables but the service is excellent as they don't have large quantities of customers at once. The employee who taught us how to to make the pizza from scratch was very nice and patient with us, and I'm grateful because I was slow to learn. My only tidbit is that he did the class 100% in Spanish and although I understand most, I am not fluent so my husband translated whatever I missed. Overall it was a great experience and the pizza was tasty!

#1 Best Pizza is at Pummarola - Im addicted... Perfect crust every time and very thin and flavorful like you're back in Italy. Ingredients are always noticeably fresh and the pastas are well seasoned and delicious. Good portion sizes and service every time! Highly recommend.

Lately we've been very lucky in this department. Our experience at this Pummarola was superb. Good weather helped and we were able to sit outside. Cannot say anything negative about the pizzas (pizze) but the most surprising were the cannoli. The filling was just on the right sweet note and the dough was crunchy and light. That is what I believe is the hardest to find: a perfectly crisp and flaky shell. On and the prices are super affordable. Even more so considering the area in which they are located. Not to forget... they have a very young staff that know how to take care of their customers. And while you are there buy a jar of Pan di Stelle cream and take it home, you will not regret it.

The best carry out pizza that I have ever had! I have ordered late night carry out from many places during my travels but this was by far the best. I ordered around 10:00PM on a Wednesday and it was at my hotel in about 15 minutes. The pizza was delicious and not soggy which is challenging with this style of pizza during delivery. The flavors were balanced. I loved that they gave a plentiful amount of prosciutto although I would have liked it to be striped into smaller pieces for the ease of eating. The arugula was fresh and crunchy and the pie was not over sauced. Well done! I will order from here again!

I don't know how anyone can mess us up pizza this bad. Both pies were literally burnt on the outside, and the dough was still raw on the inside. As you would pick up a slice, all of the ingredients would slide off. Extremely disappointed considering the cost. Tossed them both. Definitely much better options in the area.

Called to order delivery of a pizza and salad to my hotel right at 5 pm. They had it delivered in just over 20 minutes (was less than half a mile from me), with a friendly driver, and outstanding quality all around! The brick oven fired crust is crispy on the bottom and soft and chewy with great airiness in the dough! The toppings and sauce were flavorful and well-balanced, and the Caesar dressing was garlicky and delicious with tasty croutons and a generous pile of shaved Parmesan. I highly recommend!!

Overrated, The pizzas are tiny for the price. We ordered the Crema di Tartufo Pizza and the Meat Lovers. The ham that came on both was not good and seemed cheap. Something on the meat lovers pizza had a strong strange smell to it that was a turn off. The Crema di Tartufo was good minus the ham other then that it had a good flavor. The dough and crust on the pizzas, were super fluffy and light and that was probably the best part.

By now i consider myself to be a regular to this place, I came here first when i was a tourist in the United States, but now since i Have moved here I visit all the time, their Pizza is very good and they offer a nice variety of flavors to choose from, 100% recommended

This pizza is magical! I find myself craving it. It's different because of the crust. It's thin but the flavor and texture is different. I was told that they import the semolina from Italy to make the crust. I don't think you can go wrong with any topping. I love the veggie one because they include eggplant that is sauteed in a delicious sauce on it. My mom's fave is the truffle one. The pasta here is great too, so if you're not in the mood for pizza, definitely try their pasta. I haven't tried anything I haven't loved. The parking can be a pain (street parking in the Gables) and it's small like other restaurants in the area. Therefore, I often get my Pummarola delivered. If you haven't tried them, check them out. You'll crave their pizza too!

I love Pummarola, one of my Italian students recommended this place to me, I lived in Italy for some time and I'm usually annoyed for how bad American Italian food is , but as the recommendation came from an Italian I decided to give it a try. Delicious, you can't say it is the best pizza in Miami but it is very good. The place is simple, nothing fancy, but the food is good. My favorite pizza is the Truffle pizza, sorry I don't remember the exact name (Some of my friends were like "truffle pizza, no no no," then they tried it and I had to order a second one because they eat it all ) They also have a lot of things with Nutella for dessert COVID RELATED: They have seats inside, I usually never seat inside nowadays, so I picked a table outside. ( heads up! It is on the sidewalk but you are gonna be fine it is in a part of town that it is not too crowded so not too many people will walk next to you, at least not at night) They have hand sanitizer and tables outside are separated or as they are on the sidewalk you can move them around and separate yourself even more from the people that's what k did. Enjoy, and don't forget to ask for the "Crema di tartufo"pizza, you won't regret it.
