Great place to come hang or kill some time before a downtown event. They have very good food and cocktails too. Every time I’ve come I’ve gotten a great old fashioned. Burger was great, apps are all bomb too.

I was served by an incredible server who's name was Loren. I came in with not so great of an attitude from such a long day. He gave the best experience one could have from the food, to the excellence friendly and consideration on the menu. The ambiance was only made great because of the experience from Loren. Great hospitality. Thank you

We ordered several different plates, and they were all great. The service was really nice and friendly. There are a lot of fun games to play a well.

Drinks were spot on! Service was speedy Kai was the best bartender ever watermelon slushie margarita was down, but she offered the best solution a hand made watermelon margarita on the rocks. We ordered chips, salsa. & guac it came out super fast! Punch bowl is the best destination for a drink & quick bite! Ask for Kai at the lower level!

Jensen is the best. This man deserves raise. Best service, recommends great products, and knows how to make people feel welcome. This man is the reason i will be back.

I've been here twice for company parties and both times it's been an exemplary experience. I would come back more if I didn't live an hour away. Glad I've been able to experience it. Great times and memories.

*** EDITED*** 1/14/25 They responded to this post, but when I emailed them, I was blocked. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE!! My work crew felt like we should blow off some steam after work. Some for there earlier than others. When us late arrivers arrived, our coworkers said “we had to go up and get our drinks” I tilted my head like when you play a fart sound to a dog. The boss showed and he had to go up to the bar too. We/he ordered about 7-8 platters of appetizers for the 15 of us to share. Food WAS brought out to us - but no plates or napkins until we had to ASK. MEANWHILE - nobody. And I mean NOBODY between the 4-5 bartenders we counted and the 4-5 wait staff came by and asked us for drink orders - asked if we wanted more food or cleaned ANY empty plates or glasses. Is it just me or is there a ADA issue with just a set of stairs to get to this place? Why have the same lame soccer game on all the screens. Why not put out a variety on the screens? The margarita I had was very lackluster. Because if this I switched to a soda PBS management — be mindful. A LOT of money was left on the table (no pun intended) for this experience. The quality of the food, if I were to Give a slimmer of a positive on this review, was very tasty and warm as needed

We stopped here for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The menun had fun items, and the service was good. It's a cool stop that offers something for everyone, including bowling and karaoke. The only downside is that it's incredibly loud inside, but a great place to go nonetheless. The proximity to the Golden 1 Center is definitely a plus!

7/14/2025 I just want to send a shot out to Loren (?) for his services today! We were a party of 25-30 and did not call ahead. Many servers and bartenders that were there around 5pm tried to accommodate us but Loren went above and beyond. For a party of our size, he was very patient, accommodating, professional, and on point!

Went here for a work event. We bowled. (Which is NOT your regular bowling experience) The pins aren't set in the traditional manner with the diamond shape, most because the pins are attached to strings/ropes sort of like a puppet. So often when resetting the pins of the strings "aren't tight enough" then it can take multiple times for the pins to stand up. Often not all 10 pins are set at all. The pins do not fly or ricochet the way regular pins would due to the fact that they are attached to strings/ropes. So if you're a serious bowler this is not the place for you. Our waitress was fantastic and attentive, which to be quite frank was really the highlight of the evening. If it weren't for her I'd be making this a 1 star review. As far as the food there were 2 "platters" of food that were set out that were supposed to feed 10 people for a dinner size definitely was not sufficient. There were veggie quesadillas, the size of Street tacos (which were the least favorite) and some boneless barbecue wings (maybe 25) The other platter was a mix of chips, veggies (carrots and cucumbers) and some pita chips along with a "Hummus" but looked more like a sour cream based dip but had the texture and flavored more like a hummus. And there was also a guacamole, which was fresh but could have used some lime/lemon and salt & pepper. And because these platters weren't enough food some additional meals were ordered including: Steak Frites which was enjoyed. Fried Chicken Sandwich with a side, which was good but not fantastic. A few salads which were fresh but underwhelming. Overall everything was pricey for the experience. But as a team or party environment it was good and delivered a fun experience.

I thought this place was very lively, played good music and the appetizers that we got were really good. I was at the hotel for a company party and visited after the event was over. As I am in my late 40s I did have fun, but this is definitely a place for the younger generation. The staff was nice and helpful when I asked questions There's a bowling alley plenty of games to play and of course, food and drinks

Its was a good experience. First date friendly. A couple of bars inside. The area downstairs is more quiet. They play music bingo on Sunday and have happy hour. I want ro return for trivia night.

Came here for a team building event and it was my first time here. I've been thinking of going before but I'm not fond of the parking downtown. We had our event on a Tuesday afternoon so it wasn't so bad. We took up part of the 2nd floor and had a bar & q bowling alley plus a bunch of machine games. On the other side of the 2nd floor was another bar, bowling alley and board games/scrabble area. Oh and there was a glass room with a big screen and a couch for karaoke. Our work gave us drink tickets but I'm not much a drinker so I gave my tickets to my coworker. They had a huge variety of drinks to choose from including some yummy looking non alcoholic drinks. I'm just boring so I had a soda. We had a small buffet style set up with beef or pork sliders, chicken sliders, boneless wings and some charcuterie. TBH, I was not a fan of the food but you don't come here for the food. The sauce on the boneless wings was too spicy for me, so I didn't try the chicken slider, the burger was the best thing, it was a little yummy treat. I should have gone back for more. There was salami, almonds, cheeses and crackers plus some of those mozzarella balls on fancy sticks with a tiny tomato and a leaf. I forgot to take a picture. There were beignets and cheesecake bites later on as well. The staff were so awesome and helpful always handy with the refills. Oh and be warned it is extremely noisy, it's got a party vibe and I'm sure it's crazy when it's busy. Honestly not the best place to go if you're trying to talk and catch up with someone. They also have a duck claw machine that we all loved, and probably ended up with 30 or so ducks. Fun time.

Bartender who works upstairs or worked upstairs around 9 PM tonight was great. When we went downstairs to take advantage of happy hour, everything went downhill. Food we got was cold. Fries had a weird taste and were almost soggy. Diet Coke I got tasted like soda water. Nastiest margarita we've ever had. Wouldn't come back

Punch Bowl Social is right next to the Golden 1 Center where the Sacramento Kings play! It's a great spot to grab a drink or play some games. Pros: -High energy social space -Large spaces for hosted events -Highly entertaining with lots to do. Beyond just grabbing food and a drink, there are plenty of games and tvs. -Proximity to the stadium creates a great pre or post game hangout spot Cons: -There isn't a place to escape to chat with someone. Even the patios had the music pumping, which was a little unexpected based on how small they were. -The food is terrible. I didn't eat anything that tasted good. Everything was bland and flavorless.

I haven't been here in years. I'll say it definitely has improved since the last time I was here and got to experience everything it offered. Food for the most part was good. Drinks were good. The AC during the day could be stronger. It was a very warm day. Ac was on just enough to feel okay. But not relaxing. Music was on kind of low. There were maybe 5 of us during the day. But the lack of AC and lack of music really impacted the vibes. At night. AC and music was pumping. So that's nice atleast. Also. Maybe tell people ahead of time to hold onto receipts if you need parking validation. We bought stuff during the day but didn't hold onto receipts. The security person refused to validate our parking despite seeing there is obviously food and drinks at our table.

This was my favorite spot in downtown Sacramento to get food and play at the arcade. I am very disappointed with our service the past couple visits. In December, we came in to grab a quick bite before going to the Light Show in Old Sac. Ordered nachos right away. Our nachos end up going to a DIFFERENT table and our server took her sweet time to check in on us. By that time, we were already ready to leave. We asked her to cancel our order. She brought back the nachos and said we can take them to go and she will give us a discount. Staff needs to be better trained on service.

Punch Bowl is conveniently located in DOCO and has a lot to offer from entertainment to a full bar service. My friends and I came in on a Saturday night, and it was busy as expected. Punch Bowl is a great spot with capacity to accommodate larger groups, and my group of 14 swung by for a round of drinks. A few of us were interested in throwing darts, but their pricing wasn't worth it ($5 per player). Punch Bowl has two separate bars, and the one behind the host stand offers faster service. I ordered the Mine All Mine, which was a rum-based cocktail. Drinks weren't very strong, and mine was pretty sour. Overall, I might be interested in coming back to try their food, but Punch Bowl Social isn't on the top of my list for downtown cocktails destinations.

We ordered the legit nachos, really good. Service was okay but a smile would have been nice. LOVE the atmosphere. We played bowling with a beautiful view of downtown right next to us. Yes I will be returning.

Thank you Jared for excellent service! Had a great time, went in around 3pm and I think we were the only ones there. Brought our daughter who just recently started walking and she loved exploring and looking at all of the games. The ambiance of this place is relaxed but I can definitely see this place being a lively night spot for adults wanting to have a good time. Legit nachos: Overall really good flavor! The butter was tasty, the cheese was melty, the cauliflower had a nice bite to it and still pretty soft Carnitas tacos: The carnitas had a great flavor, they were so soft and the combination of flavors was perfect. I wish there were more on the plate! Haha Old fashioned: Strong at first but after the ice melts a little it hit the spot.

Signed up for the 2pm Music Bingo for something fun to do in Sac. Showed up at 1:50. Was told the wait was 30 minutes for only having 1 waitress. I asked management why they would only schedule one waitress for the bingo, he said he doesn't schedule anyone? Ok. Well Maby PunchBowl should plan events better and have more staff!?!

Punch bowl socials happy hour is slept on!!! It's such a good deal for solid drinks and food. $5 for cocktails, wine, and beer!! On top of that, we had an amazing server Mason who was on top of our orders before happy hour was over and very attentive. Our table definitely felt taken care of! The ambiance of this place also can't be beat. Fun vibes, fun people, good music!

Stopped in to play some games on a Sunday afternoon. This is a big establishment. They have bowling and electronic as well as board games. You have to check out the board games and we didn't even know they were available to play at our table or the bar until walking through tables to the restroom and saw other tables playing Uno card game. There are lots of tables and two separate bar areas. It wasn't very full however the staff seemed to be working hard so possibly could use more help.

I've been here a few times but more recently I came here with my guy. Punch bowl provides the perfect mix of fun activities, yummy drinks, and fun atmosphere. We started our night bowling and since they were slow he gave us a good deal. Bowling was fun and the area is well maintained. We played the lane right next to the windows overlooking the street below, it was a great view. Afterward we grabbed a few drinks and went to play darts. I am an Old Fashioned snob and Punch Bowls didnt not disappoint! It was a perfect balance of smoky sweetness, the bartender clearly knew what she was doing. We branded our drinks and went to the dart board. We had a lot of fun playing darts and it was some fun competition. Overall, the vibe is trendy yet laid back, with plenty of activities for everyone. There's really something for everyone here. It's a great place for a date night but also the ideal spot for a group of friends or like-minded professionals looking to have fun. I will definitely be back again. Highly recommended this is your in the area. Its a revelation lol

This place is definitely a fun spot... but it's more focused on the entertainment aspect than the food service. I went on a date here before attending a concert in Golden1 Center, and we had a great time enjoying the variety of games they offer. The space is really spacious and perfect for hanging out with a group of friends or even for work happy hours. I've been here multiple times before for happy hour and to chill with friends, but this time, I wanted to give their food another try, hoping to find something I'd like. Unfortunately, it was still the same... the food just doesn't seem to hit the mark. The food is either tasteless, too salty or sweet, and/or have odd flavor. Honestly, the food quality reminds me of casual dining spots like Applebee's or Olive Garden, but somehow even less satisfying. The service was okay, nothing particularly memorable about the staff we interacted with. Overall, this place is more about having fun with games and activities while drinking with friends/colleagues. If you're coming here, don't expect much from the food--come for the fun instead!

After ended up being at revival for maybe a half hour, we ended up meeting more friends here. The bartenders and the servers were great. Place is very busy yet lots of seating available. The have drinks, food, bowling, and karaoke. So glad we ended up here. We definitely had a good time.

This is one of Sacramentos most unique bars! There is bowling, darts, karaoke, board games, shuffleboard, corn hole, and even pool tables! There is something for everyone and a great place in DOCO. As great as it is, the food and drinks are not great. The food alone I would give a 2/5. Every time I have gotten the food, it's cold and not tasty at all. Truthfully the only reason I got the nachos was because I got a free shareable for signing up for the email list. If I wasn't free I would have sent it back because it was so cold and not hot at all. The service is hit or miss. Some people are really nice and others are not. Overall, I come here for the games and the good vibes but NEVER for the food or drinks!

I came for a friend's birthday on a Tuesday evening. This place is large and spacious and offers a lot to do outside of dining. We only ordered food though. Our server was kind and efficient. I ordered the chicken and waffles. It was tasty but I wish I had more syrup. It was a little dry. The rosemary fries were delicious though!

Went to PBS for the first time a few Fridays ago for a work sponsored happy hour!! So much fun!!! We ordered so much food. Everything I tried was great! They also had some unique things like cauliflower nachos. My coworker and I split the burger. It slapped. Great mocktails and cocktails! The place is huge! They have a place you can go bowling, ski ball and lots of other games. Would for sure come back!

Some of the worst service I've ever experienced. We arrived right before the Kings game was starting hoping to get a table as people left to go to the arena. The hostess scoffed at our party of 7 request and said it'll be 2 hours. We decided to put our name down and order some drinks at the bar. We got a round at the bar and then ordered some wings because we had found some bar stools to camp out for a while knowing how long the host said that it would be. Meanwhile about 70% of the restaurant is EMPTY. Then about 10 minutes into being at the bar we get the text that the table is ready. What a joke. We hadn't gotten the wings yet as we just ordered them, so the bartender gave us a number and talked to the kitchen so that when we moved to the table, our wings would come there. Works great for me. We get seated at our table and about 30 minutes goes by. We had finished our drinks and got half of the food order from the bar delivered. We didn't have silverware or napkins though and no server had stopped by the table. Finally we went to the host again and asked if we would get a server and she said yes and was surprised that no one had come by yet. Then we got both orders of wings we ordered at the bar but one was actually cold. Not room temp, COLD. Our server FINALLY came by and she was so snappy and almost annoyed that we wanted service?? The food or drinks that we put in from there came at varied times and it was just slow. The only redeeming thing about Punch Bowl is that the drinks are good. That's it. After coming here in the past and the service being good, I probably will not come again.

Yea, most likely won't be returning. Some employees lax and just dont seem connected. Went during their Happy Hour, was bowling in lanes across kitchen atea (noone came by to take food order), we finished bowling then sat at a booth over towards bar near shuffleboard. Sat there for 10-15 minutes, another couple sat down about 6 booths from us. When the waiter went to take their order, that was it for me. Maybe if the waiter and another employee weren't so busy playing the basketball games they may have noticed customers.

Punch bowl has some of the most amazing atmosphere drinks were pouring superfast. Staff was the sweetest and kindest people, and you know that bar food hits so hard at the end of the night. Incredible games to keep you entertained people are super relaxed. It is a great vibe to be in.

WOW!!!! This place is humongous but their downstairs bar is really bad. They don't have any customers downstairs and the bartender was just standing there for hours not doing anything because she had no customers; which seems like an establishment issue rather than an employee issue. That's a terrible look for a business and I bet their manager doesn't care about their employees, this is really sad to see. This place had so much potential but as a business owner myself, it doesn't look like they utilize their employees the way they should be. The bartender served me an amazing drink that's why I gave it a 1 star but if I could give it zero I would because I would never ever treat my employees like this place treats their employees. This isn't the first time I've seen a bartender at the downstairs bar with no customers and it's such a sad and tired look for a business. Shame on this place.

What an awful experience! I was told to reference my inattentive server to get more drinks, as they were unable to process them at the bar. What a crock. There's a reason this is the least popular drag bruch. Spend your money somewhere else. I will never be back, until they learn how to manage or their Servers or their bar. Pick a lane to fail in!

Wow! How rude! Made a reservation for 5pm and we were NOT allowed to sit in the main area where the fun is. No staff. What BS. Then the manager was worse as we watched folks just walk in to the high top bar area. Food. Sucked! Bbq sliders; forgot to have any bbq sauce on them. Mason the sever was nice. Food came out before the drinks. Only wish I had made the res on Open Table so I could let everyone know. Waste Of Money.

The service and facilities were very poor. I'm not sure if they were understaffed or need training but the main bartender had to initially take our order for a party of 11 because there were no servers. Then our food was delayed and no one came to check on a subsequent drink order. We had to flag down staff who kept forgetting our drinks. Some of the drinks eventually arrived but not others. While the bartenders were very busy working, I saw other people in Punchbowl Social shirts just walking around or watching the TVs. In addition, the long tables at the bar area, while nice from a design element, were very uncomfortable to sit at. Finally, when we tried to bowl, the lanes were not working and took 20 minutes of the hour we were allotted to fix. Even after the fix, one of the lanes had three missing pins. The place is not well maintained. One pair of bowling shoes were clearly broken. The management really needs to change if they think this is acceptable.

Altars a great time coming here. Food and cocktails are always on point for me and super reasonably priced! Their Happy hour is my favorite!

We came here prior to a kings game. It's definitely hard to get seating or find a seat at the bar which I would expect just due to a busy night. Getting a drink wasn't too bad and you were maybe waiting 5 minutes before you were able to order with a bartender. The staff were very friendly for dealing with a lot of customers. I bought a round for 6 drinks and it was only $48 which I felt like was pretty reasonable. I loved the fact that they have games to play and our group played darts and we had so much fun. The darts is a digital darts so it keeps score and kept it really fun for our group. I definitely recommend coming here, great for a date night or a group night out.

Bright my 13 yo son here for dinner a few nights ago in a road trip we had so much fun. Food, games and staff were amazing. Thank you!

This place is a joke. They totally ruined Mother's Day by overselling and under delivering on what could have been a great Mother's Day event in their space. The lack of respect after the fact was equally insulting. Punch Bowl marketed their "Mother's Day Brunch" to me over the phone as this beautiful jazz event and brunch for Mother's Day when I called in the weekend before to schedule my reservation. We arrived to find everything I was told was a lie! The space looked the same way as it does any other day of the week. The "Mother's Day" menu was just a selection of items that could already be found on their regular menu. It's important to note that the majority of the items on the menu weren't even brunch items. Total scam. The 2 musicians they booked weren't great at all, but they tried their best? In between sets, loud random music was played over the restaurant speakers. The only redeeming part of the terrible experience was how amazing our server was. As for the overall experience, it was just awful. There's no other way to put it. What's more, I called in the next day to complain to Brian (New General Manager) about how disappointed we were with the event. He acted like he understood where we were coming from and apologized for the event. He stated he was the new GM, and that the planning, marketing, and rollout of the event all happened prior to him taking over at that location. He promised to email me and have us back to Punch Bowl to make up for the terrible time we had. That email was never sent. Brian, if you are reading this message, don't bother. I swear to you we will never be back. You had an opportunity to try and turn this problem around and you dropped the ball. It's my hope that you all do better in the future.

Came in to watch the kings game and I'm so glad I did! I sat at the back bar because the main bar was too crowded and I wanted to sit at the bar versus a table. I ordered a few drinks and the rosemary fries to snack on. I had a really long day at work and was debating on even going out but I'm happy I did. Alejandro was such a vibe and really turned my day around. He really made sure I was taken care of and he even went out of his way to grab a beer from another bar that was not offered at the bar he was working in. Exceptional service. I will be returning.

We had great time ! The atmosphere was lively and inviting. The customer service was excellent as well ! We didn't try the Karaoke but for sure next time! On to food and drinks.. The drinks were delicious however the food was somewhat disappointing, however we will definitely patronize this establishment again because the cool vibes were 80% of why we came here !

It's so fun and family friendly (during the day). I've taken my daughter there a few times and punch bowl does not disappoint! The food was good, service was quick and friendly, and there is so much to do from bowling to table top games.

Punch Bowl is a fun place to go for a fun night out! They not only have lots of food options, but they also have many different forms of entertainment! They have a large round bar on one side and another long bar on the other side. They have 2 sections that have 3-4 bowling lanes each, a VR station, multiple corn hole games, a retro arcade, darts wall (3), a long foosball table, and multiple other games you can rent out at the station where you checkout bowling shoes! The staff are always friendly, and the service is quick if they are not busy, but even when they are busy the wait isn't too bad. We are also having our holiday party there for my work and we have a little over 100 staff, the coordinator for the event has been a pleasure to work with. Here are my ratings on the food/drinks that I have had: Cauliflower Nachos (GF, V) $15 - 5/5 stars (Corn Tortilla Chips, Queso Oaxaca, Sliced Jalapeño, Roasted Cauliflower, Pickled Onions, Jalapeño Crema) - Add on: Roasted Chicken or Carnitas ($5) Beyond Burger (GFA, V) $17 - 3/5 stars Gruyere, Tomato Jam, Bibb Lettuce, Onion, Dijonaise, Brioche Bun, Fries Grilled Chicken Sandwich (GFA) $16 - 4/5 stars Grilled Chicken, Arugula, Lemon Vin, Red Onion, Bacon, Tomato, Avocado Mayo, Brioche Bun, Fries Strawberry Mojito - 5/5 stars

Our server was very kind, attentive, & handled a large group well. Honestly, I did not feel like they had very many food options. The Brussel sprouts we ordered were very crunchy, but not in a good way. The rosemary fries were shoe string style fries & they had good flavor. The vibes were good, but i don't recommend for dinner. Go eat dinner somewhere else and then meet here for drinks after.

Same Day Update: They give the same regurgitated response to every bad review they receive. I'm not emailing them because another reviewer stated they just block your email. They don't need to talk to me about anything. Everything for them to fix is in my review. I'm still not going back. It was THAT bad. Original Review: Not much variety in food. No different sauces, only one barbecue sauce (their house-made with a lot of mayo in it & no regular barbecue sauce), so that was a bummer. Went for the Monday worker special with 50% off of games and 15% off of food. Finished eating around 9:30-45pm but couldn't get the check until almost 10pm (because it was really hard to get the server's attention - couldn't find her, music was blaring so had to almost scream to talk, by the time she checked on us, we were already serviced from her coworkers because they passed by a lot more than she did so I don't know what she was doing). But that was a huge time-killer because we needed more syrup (you only get 1 small dipping cup size for the plate of thick waffles and chicken). We also didn't get forks with our food, so I had to find someone for that even before eating. The drinks with the sparkling water are not as sweet they sound. The sparkling water really takes over the flavor, so ask for extra syrup in your drinks if you want to taste the sweetness. Otherwise, it just tastes like regular sparkling water. To top it off, when we tried to bowl (because they don't close until midnight and confirmed this multiple times while eating), the bowling system all of a sudden didn't work but was working fine while we were eating for other people. I think they clean up at 10pm and hope no one shows up. If that's the case, don't advertise those hours. Be honest with customers. If I just wanted food, I would've went somewhere else and spent less for more variety. The marketing towards working people on the website is way better than the reality. I won't be back. Sucks because I work weekend nights. Coin-Op is way better. P.S. I'm all for helping the earth, but paper straws are NOT it. They get soggy and then you're drinking the paper. It changes the taste of the water before it even gets soggy. I tasted it with and without the straw. The water is disgusting with the straw. People don't chug their cocktails. They sip drinks while eating. Please keep that in mind and get straws that don't alter water or disintegrate into a drink. ***Enforce your "no smoking" policy! I saw multiple "no smoking" signs while walking up the stairs but zero enforcement. People smoked on the stairs and one was smoking outside the entrance door while I was eating. I only knew because as soon as the door opened, so much cigarette smoke came in and I looked to see where it was coming from. That's so disgusting and contributed to killing the whole vibe. I didn't pay for a side of nicotine. So nasty!

They were super busy on Saturday evening. We went there before PBR and the drinks and appetizers were great! We did not wait because we had reservations so I would recommend that for sure! Their nachos were great but I did not take a picture! Their drink that they had on the menu for love was great!

THE MENU LISTED IS NOT VALID. They have a condensed menu with NO VEGETARIAN OPTIONS. Only reason this gets two stars is that our server Hawk was absolutely awesome. Kind considerate and very helpful.

Came here for some beers before the Kings game. Bartender got our drinks super fast. We ordered chicken nachos and we waited less than 10 minutes. Wasn't super crowded for a Monday night. Def one of my fav spots in DOCO to grab a bite and drinks before the games!

Our first time at Punch Bowl Social and let me tell you it was the best experience ever and our server was the best, his name was RaShaan he was the prime example of a server, he made sure we was good all the time and it was the best environment, the burger was the best one I have ever had, the menu is small due to it being redone but it was still very delicious and the rosemary fries omg they are also very good I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and they also have games and arcade and bowling ally and all of that fun stuff will definitely return again. our server really made it a good experience and environment. the atmosphere is 10/10
