Went for a night out and enjoyed ourselves. The comedians were okay, but I feel like they were thrown off by some rude guests that had to be escorted out halfway through the show. The food was good, the drinks were good. There is a 2 drink minimum, which I feel should have been explained when checking in, but it was fine. Seats are a little cramped and close together, so if you go, be aware of that.

Recently I went to see a show here for the first time. The staff were very helpful and they came around often through the show. However the comedians weren't very funny, the food was bland, and the drinks weren't strong at all.

Google
Great staff and a wonderful venue. There isn't a bad seat in the house! I really can't wait to go back. Luckily, I live nearby. Thanks for a great night. And see Troy Hawke if you can. He works a room like nobody's business.

Google
First time visitors: comedians were hilarious but my god, what a scam. Expensive tickets through T-Master, no way to email tix without downloading the app, parking is atrocious, the staff told us NINETEEN TIMES that there's a two drink minimum (but food and drink purchased at the bar don't count), beverages were insane - $24 for a beer? and the food was inedible at best. Will not be returning, cannot recommend which is a shame because the cats are so well known. Do better, Punch Line Philly!

BK DUCHEZZ

Google
Went to see Affion Crockett. He was hilarious. The establishment was well organized. The two drink minimum purchase per person can be a soft drink or alcoholic drink. My drink was watered down but it’s to be expected in this type of establishment. I would go again and again and I would recommend.

Google
Went to see Kanan Gill show in middle of the week. Good show but not impressed with the location. They started the show 40 minutes late because they were doing sound testing. Why was the sound testing not done ahead of time? They knew the scheduled start time. It was not an end minute show. Since there was a 2 drink minimum charge, I was disappointed that they didn’t have coffee or tea option.

Nice venue for a great night out. Staff was kind, attentive and efficient.

Yelp
My husband and I came to check out Punch Line for Rob Ward's First Responders Comedy Tour. I had been to Punch Line before for a private event, but it was my husband's first time. There is a bar outside the venue for you to chill at before the show, and also a nice outdoor space. The restroom is easy to get to from either the show room or main bar area. The comedian was amazing, Rob Ward cracked us the F up and I honestly felt so bad that he didn't have a sold out show - he and his openers all deserved it. We felt very blessed to have attended his show and he had us in stitches, and was really experienced in interacting with the crowd and getting to know us - making the jokes hit even harder for our small little show crowd. The venue overall was good. I'm not sure how it is for a super crowded show since this one was maybe.. 30-40 people? The food was okay - as you expect at a comedy show - a bit overpriced for what you get, nachos were alright but were a good snack to have while watching a fun show and drinking. Their drinks are all roughly $14, but for the tallboy Golden Monkey it's not bad - and you can also add on a shot for $7 and that counts as your 2 item minimum. I kinda loved this option, so Philly - make your own city wide. Our server, I believe she said her name was Jasmin was very kind and attentive throughout the night. For 2 golden monkeys + 2 add on shots, and a round of nachos - the total came to about $80 including tip. I would definitely come back for another show. We're more so coming for the talent, not the food or drinks.

Yelp
Over this past weekend(Friday Night), caught a show with one of my sisters. We have not been to Punchline in at least 3 years. I love seeing Comedians in Comedy Houses, it's just a vybe. They have made some changes that I like. The brought the bathrooms up to date(automatic soap dispenser, trough sink & fresh scent). Little things matter. The Bar area outside of the Showroom is much nicer. Seating, Lighting & even the island were the alcohol is located is better. The changes make the space a lot more open. Still loving the patio. The Showroom. Much more comfortable setup. We don't mind sitting close to the stage. And the change to the smaller square tables makes perfect sense. We had Beer, Cocktail & Pull Pork(great)with home chips(too much seasoning, but the chip was really good). We got a Victory Golden Monkey 19.2oz for 13 bucks!! Amazing!! Iris was our server & she was great. Finesse Michell was the talent & he was great. Just a good time had.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
We came here for a show and overall had a good experience. The showroom had a two drink minimum and while we had no issue getting our drinks in a timely fashion, the couple across from us waited until at least halfway through the main act until the staff came back and realized the staff had not brought their first round of drinks. The food sounded good on the menu but once we saw it come out we decided not to order anything, as it all look underwhelming. Would come back for a show and drinks, but will always eat before.

Yelp
What a delightful time seeing Atsuko Okaysuka's comedy tonight! AWESOME ENTERTAINMENT!! She sold cute swag too. She did have an opening act "Dylan. This was just so lively and fun. I'm sooooooo glad to see this. She has a comedy special on HBO currently. Note: I wish I had pics of her on stage but there were soooo many overhead /screen reminders NOT TO TAKE PICS/record. Staff worked hard scurrying around getting everyone their bevs. I enjoyed my cranberry juice. FYI: Bathroom had oodles of stalls. I would love to come back.
google avatar

Shelly V.

Yelp
I had the crispy Spring Rolls at a previous event. There is a 2 beverage minimum, so I requested Rose which was delivered in a timely manner. Each time I have gone to Punchline I was by myself and laughed with the individuals I shared a table with. The elevated stage and great lighting provides a great view. Correy B is hilarious. My stomach felt as if I went to the gym I laughed so much. Meet and greet after the show. Staff will take photos for you. I truly enjoy going to this venue. My happy place.

Yelp
I was excited to have my first experience at Punch Line for a sold out show this past weekend. The show itself was great - well organized, started on time, solid opener, and fun tablemates to take in the show with. The venue itself has the same shortcomings as all Live Nation venues - which I don't necessarily short them for since much of it is out of their control. Things like the high cost of drinks, the two drink minimum, and overall not great consumer practices that Live Nation is known for. That being said, there are a few things well within the control of the venue that need to be improved. + Service here is not great. Staff is fairly uninterested and there were tables who were not visited once throughout the entire show. I've been to MANY comedy clubs around the country and this is by far the most miserable in terms of "vibe" that I've ever experienced. + On the same note, if you know a show is sold out, better lobby management practices need to be put into place in order to handle the volume. Security is a mess and huddled into a small corner, there was not enough bar staff, the beginning and end of the line to enter was completely unclear. If you're going to have shows allllll the time - I can't imagine going through with this level of chaos all the time? Very odd. It didn't seem like a one-off and was much more the norm. My drinks were fine albeit overpriced and the show itself truly was great! My advice? Arrive right at door opening and plan to grab drinks at Philadelphia Distilling or Other Half ahead of the show. Do NOT go to the PL bar and you'll still get a decent table, since there will be many GA latecomers.

Yelp
Little sketchy area of course being where it's at but there's plenty of bars near by which we decided on Murph's Bar and then the brewery next door. The brewery next door has lots of beers to choose from with outside seating as well in grass. Very nice chill area to wait for the show to open. The inside venue is pretty big with great audio. Plenty of tables to sit at and everyone is very nice. Nachos were packed with cheese and the guac was pretty good as well. Plenty of chips and toppings to go between my girlfriend and I.
google avatar

Laur L.

Yelp
Boyfriend and I went here for a fun comedy night. We had a lovely evening of laughs. Note that this place does a two drink minimum and the drink prices can easily exceed the cost of your ticket. I stuck with Diet Pepsis.
google avatar

Nyja F.

Yelp
The venue overall is OK. The process to check in and be seated was quick and easy and everyone that we encountered was professional and pleasant and I enjoyed the show. The food however was just OK - I ordered cheesesteak egg rolls and fries and my hubby ordered a fried chicken sandwich. The cheesesteak egg rolls were doughy and had very little meat and flavor and the fries were cooked so hard that they had the texture of potato chips. I didn't expect an exquisite meal but the food was totally lackluster for me. Hubby and I ordered the same drink, which was Strawberry Lemonade Ginger - I didn't feel like alcohol so I asked for it to be made as a mock-tail; it tasted like Kool Aid... I was disappointed with the dining experience. The opening and main acts were funny and the sound was clear; seating was good too - we paid for General Admission... What I did not like were the interruptions from the crowd on this night; a few patrons were insistent on getting the comedian's attention - it was very annoying. If i see another comedian that I'd like to check out on the schedule I'll definitely return but will be sure to eat well before I come here and order a drink that does not require mixing :-/
google avatar

Emil G.

Yelp
The service is decent and the space itself does the job. No complaints regarding the lighting and sound. However, they really should inform patrons there's an automatic 18% gratuity charge to each bill--especially because of the lack of lighting during shows and the fact that it's not prominently shown on the bill. I can't speak on the food because I only got two Liquid Deaths ($5 each!) since they have a 2-item minimum. This felt very wasteful to me because I wasn't in the hydrating or eating mood, but I chugged them nonetheless. Their prices are kinda ridiculous for what you get. Another example: my friend got a mixed drink for $14 and it was small and not strong at all.
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
Can't speak to the food, but the alcohol was exactly what you'd expect and service was fast. I don't think it's fair to judge the place by the comedian (ours was hilarious), but the setup was great. The staff was very helpful accommodating our large group, and we are looking forward to going back!

Melissa E.

Yelp
Quaint venue with some great comedy shows! Been twice and would definitely go back. It is a two drink minimum but it's worth it.

Danay W.

Yelp
I love the vibes, audio, and the performer was funny. After being sat it took an hour for our drink orders to be taken and half way through the first set for them to be delivered. Each person didn't meet the two drink minimum because it took so long. The pretzels were served 15 minutes before a water lol Then when checking out the tip screen is at 18% but I only saw my server twice, once to take the order and once to check out. I assume there's a tip share so I still tipped 20% but if not that's horrible for the runners.
google avatar

Sherri W.

Yelp
I came to PLP for the first time to see David Arnold perform (great show by the way) and going back in less than two weeks time. What I liked was the look and feel of the space. I don't think there are any bad seats in the venue which is great. I went to the show with one of my girlfriends and we had General Admission seating. I got there about 45 minutes prior to show time so I was seated almost center to the stage in the next to the last row of seats. I waited for my girlfriend to arrive before I ordered food but the service was quick. We ordered the platter that included mozzarella sticks, vegetable spring rolls, chicken bites, cheesesteak dumplings, French fries, and different sauces. The platter is enough to feed two people. I missed where it said it included a pretzel so it was a pleasant surprise. The one downside to mention is when your food comes out and the show has started, it's very dark at the table or at least at table 73. We pulled our phones out to use the light to see our food. TIP: Get there early, order your food and dine before the show starts.
google avatar

Tim T.

Yelp
Very is easy to get to and doesn't really have a bad seat in the house. Not sure why all the hate about the two drink minimum. The beers are 19.2 ounces for $14. Mixed drinks aren't crazy expensive either. Service was quick and getting seated was fast. Staff were friendly. Would go back again.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
I've been here about three times in my life and I love it every time. Going to this club is a whole experience because they have much more than just comedy. They have an outdoor seating area, corn, hole, and a bar. Seats are first come first serve so if you want the best seats at the front of the stage then get in line early. FYI, like most comedy clubs, they have a two drink minimum. And the drinks you buy at the bar outside of the performance area do not count! You have to order your drinks at the table for them to count. 2 drinks per person. It's a small stage with a huge area for customers, unfortunately, you would end up with some a very bad seats if you showed up late and there was a big crowd that day. In groups of two, you can definitely get seated early at the front of the stage.
google avatar

John Michael S.

Yelp
I haven't been to a show but a drink was $15...kinda makes it rough to go back when there are better deals in Philly.

Yelp
Last night felt like some sense of normalcy. It's May, 2021 and the requirements for the pandemic are changing frequently. Punchline had the precautions in place: employees wore mask, tables spaced out, attendees wore mask in common areas. We had a nice time laughing at the comedians with their "punchlines" about the pandemic and the struggles. The jokes were so appreciated! All the stand-up comedians were great! Of course, a place like this requires a pricey two drink minimum. I tried their frozen mango margarita (on the rocks; instead of frozen) - it was okay. Also, had the Fishtown Old Fashioned - it was a bit strong. We enjoyed the "Knockout Platter" that had a variety of finger foods. My favorite out the box was the mozzarella sticks and cheesesteak dumplings. FYI, there's a nearby free gravel parking lot (unattended). It's always a pleasure coming to Punchline!
google avatar

Dianna S.

Yelp
The security at the front door is rude and pushy.. drinks were about average and sort of strong but not tasty. The manager (a short black lady with glasses) was very unprofessional and rude. This place needs a class in customer service etiquette.. thank goodness the comedians saved the night. Oh and the chicken fingers weren't bad. Only go if there is no other place opened

Sandy L.

Yelp
Absolutely rudest staff I've ever encountered at venue. It's 5pm, your crowd is mostly over 50, and these people are acting like LIVE Nation ghestapo. Over priced, weak drinks, and they really need some service training. I've been to Helium and while it was small it was also one of the best venues. I won't be back to spend another $220 to be treated like crap
google avatar

Audrey L.

Yelp
Came here to see Ryan Davis and he was great along with his opening acts. Arrived early because seating is 1st come 1st served and there's a 2 drink minimum and 18% gratuity is already included. The drink prices are ridiculous in my opinion and the food was ok. Our fries were good, crispy and just the right amount of salt but damn they weren't hot at all. Cheesesteak egg rolls were okay. We were seated at a table with I believe 8 chairs and told we couldn't sit next to/across from each other but rather behind one another r this is rather odd when you're with someone and have to keep turning around to talk or sit kinda sideways. When purchasing the tickets online, I didn't see any option for VIP seating or for the high-tops which allowed for 2 people. Wish we would've seen the option or been provided the option to purchase and sit in a booth or high top. They do require you to wear your mask and proof of vaccination upon entering but I did see many people not wearing there mask once inside and it wasn't something that was being forced (I mean we are all pretty much eating and drinking). I believe they said that there were almost 300 people inside (I'll continue to mask up while trying to enjoy life again). The staff was busy. Back and forth back and forth and they were all pleasant and working together. Didn't matter if the person was originally your server, if you needed something or table to be cleared someone was coming to do it and make sure you were good. The decor is really neat nice with a big design of the bridges and the stage backdrop is pipes that look like the Philly skyline. Along with purchasing the tickets we purchased parking at 1025 N Front street because we were unsure of the situation out there but because we arrived so early, there was free street parking.

Yelp
Punch Line is a super interesting venue. For every event I've attended (comedy shows, drag brunch, trivia nights, etc), they welcome guests and keep them in the front area with a bar until the doors open and then they seat you. Usually, seating is first come, first serve. You are often seated with people you do not know, so keep that in mind. All events have had a 2-drink minimum per person, so I think that is a venue policy. Drinks have gone up quite a bit in price, both cocktails and beers and seltzers are over $10. I've made the mistake of ordering drinks at the bar while waiting to be seated, and those do not count towards your two drink minimum. The space itself is on the smaller side, so it's a great place to see someone you really enjoy! I think it has a capacity of like 300, so that makes the bathroom situation complicated. There is almost always a line. Overall, I don't mind coming to shows here but it's certainly not my favorite venue of all time.
google avatar

Barney L.

Yelp
Had a laughing good time. Enjoyed the food and drinks and the service was good too. I will be back again.

Keisha C.

Yelp
Tonight my husband and I drove to Philly from Baltimore for my hubby's 55th birthday. As we looked at the shows that were going on we decided on David Lucas vs D.L. Hughley bc DL only roast his guest... well Lucas was worse! I was extremely embarrassed! He used the N word 150 percent of his joke. Although his audience was 149 percent white! He had no prepared jokes and blamed everything on his allergies! Worst comedy show ever!! Those tickets wasn't worth $5!
google avatar

Madeleine W.

Yelp
Boyfriend was immediately profiled by the bouncer and told he was "F'd up" when we wasn't. We went to see Kurt Metzger's late show and ordered our first round of drinks for the 2 drink minimum. When we tried to get our second round, all of us were served except my boyfriend. My question is why serve him in the first place if you thought he was already too intoxicated? Tried to speak to a manager (or anyone besides the bouncer or waitress) and were given a business card to contact. Lol. The 18% added gratuity was icing on the cake. There are awesome comedy venues in Philly- this is not one of them.

Yelp
Visited Philly back in October. Really nice weekend getaway. Had a series of events lined up while in Philly. We saw Jackie Fabulous, Anthony Moore and a few others. They were absolutely hilarious. We had premium seats literally right up on the stage. It was a nice experience. The setting was big enough but still intimate enough to feel comfortable. The drinks were on point and the food was not bad at all. We even left with a complimentary margarita mixer...it came with one of the drinks. It's located near another theater/music venue. I think that some sort of rave concert was happening because the area was loaded with people who definitely were 25 and younger. The staff were friendly and we really enjoyed ourselves. Anthony Moore is a Philly native and that guy killed it. Jackie Fabulous had us feeling like we were in a relatives living room chopping it up. It was a memorable experience. We will definitely be back. This place gets (4) and not (5) stars because the waitress failed to mention that her 18% gratuity was already included. She was about to walk away with a 38% gratuity. I felt a little bothered. I'm sure that a few tipsy folks fell for the trick. I'll be damned if I pay that type of gratuity for wings, fries and rail liquor. Sorry sis ....uh nope.

Dolly S.

Yelp
5 stars specifically for our server Jasmin who was so fun, attentive, and a joy. really enhanced our overall experience! nothing like great service esp when other comedy clubs in the city have people that just look at you as a two drink minimum

Janet J.

Yelp
Comedian was fantastic. Club is awful. Security like an airport. Drinks are outrageously overpriced. Will up charge you for water, then they add 18% gratuity to your bill. No mention of this anywhere nor is this common practice for parties of 2. Hope my server enjoyed her 70-% tip as we are former service industry and already were tipping well over 20%. Go get scammed someplace else!
google avatar

Steve J.

Yelp
Typical comedy club. Above average acts and shows. Prices are reasonably high, and there is always a gratuity added.
google avatar

kelly b.

Yelp
The show I saw here was great, but my review is for how insanely overpriced the drinks and food are. There's a 2 drink minimum, and my friend and I ordered regular cocktails with well liquor and a water -- for that the cost was $102! In this economy?? Get fucking real
google avatar

Will B.

Yelp
Great show!! The Divas did an awesome job. Very funny, very fun. The food & drinks here are unfortunately not that Great. It's pretty average. The 4-star rating is for the entertainment. The drinks are watered down, the food needs more seasoning. The Chicken & Waffles was the best thing that we had.
google avatar

Vicky H.

Yelp
Definitely cannot recommend the big wig brunch anymore it was phenomenal. The drinks were great, food was great, and the laughs were original
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Great size where you can fit many people but it still feels somewhat intimate. I have been here twice and each time pricing is reasonable. There are a variety of shows and COVID procedures are with the times. Some food and drink available. Worth taking a look at.

Kimberly T.

Yelp
Everything was great, the food the drinks the atmosphere. It was me and my Sister first time at Punch Line Philly. All the comedians were great especially TURAE. Our first time attending one of his shows.
google avatar

Jennifer J.

Yelp
went to ali siddiq show it was amazing show was great service terrible wait over a half hr for a order of fries then had to wait another 10-15min after the show to wait for the check time management needs to get better and customer service needs to get better to

Yelp
I actually came when i got a ticket from Yelp to see a show. I attended the 945pm Mike Vecchione show and was glad I came. Me and my boo were seated close to the stage and had a nice view and could hear everything so well. The staff were all friendly and the waitress we had was really quick with our drinks and food that we ordered. To my surprise the food was really good too! We ordered the chicken fingers and fries. I had the fried shrimp and my boo had the cheese steaks egg rolls. We also had drinks, I ended up getting the Czech beer which was a special and was around 5 bucks, which was a pretty decent price for a large can, and my date had a rum and coke. The drinks were tasty and the food was really fresh. When it came to the show- comedians, they were hilarious!! I never laughed so much!! Thanks to Yelp we had 2 free apps since me and my date are both Yelp Elites, and it saved us some money! Thank you Yelp Philly and Punch Line Philly for allowing me the chance to come see this comedy show! It was a great expereince.

Yelp
Fishtown is bustling with breweries, bars and concept restaurants, punchline is centrally located in the very heart of it all! We had tickets to a stand up show, and decided to arrive early and get a few drinks at the bar. The usher was super nice and we got seated shortly, we ordered the cheesesteak eggrolls and pretzel sticks and a carafe if the Moscow mule. The appetizers were forgettable and the mule was weak. I decided to stick with the Cabernet for the rest of the night. The stand up performer was decent and there were truly no bad seats in the venue. Unfortunately the women's bathroom was a mess, 2 of them were out of order and one was blocked, leaving just one functional restroom!
google avatar

Xiao Z.

Yelp
I have not gone out to many comedy events post covid, but my first experience to Punch Line was pleasant, albeit very strange as I've never ventured into these venues. Parking is a challenging as the paid lots are often full and transportation in and out can be a hassle. As for the venue itself, it's clean, well lit, and the service is on the ball to make sure you order your drinks as part of the show. We ended up staying a bit longer towards the end since our checks got lost in the shuffle, but at the end of the day, $3 for water x2 is a low price to pay for a date night.
google avatar

Denaire J.

Yelp
No entertainment do to COVID. I needed a night out. Took in a show at punchline where they had social distal and took health precautions. The stage was outside. The seating was comfortable and better than the indoor seating. The ticket came with food selections for each ticket holder. The food menu is very limited. There was still a 2 drink minimum. It was a chilly night. The set up was really nice. The comedians were excellent. Enjoyable show and I will make sure to catch another outdoor venue show. They have 2 shows running at the same time across the street from each other.
google avatar

Yelp
Here's my opener but it's no joke- skip the cocktails. I bought a carafe of the vodka version of a tequila sunrise. I wound up with what tasted like sunny d juice, $24 poorer and heartburn all night. There is a two drink min but you can just sub with food. My suggestion on the food is the cheeseburger because the apps all looked like a 2 star at best. My cheeseburger was like something you'd have at a BBQ. Not bad. French fries weren't bad either. Nothing fancy, just something to eat and since you pretty much have to order something, it's worth the $. If you get a drink I'd stick with shots, beer, wine but def not the watered down mixed drinks. The inside is one of the better spots in Philly's comedy clubs. It was spacious with tables, some booths. The stage was in clear view and no problems hearing the acts. I thought the dj did a good job getting the place ready to enjoy the show. The venue itself was nice and a fun place with other food/drink nearby. I would def come back again since I had a great time. The staff seemed really cool about getting food and taking orders. Another thing I'd suggest is to arrive half hour before your show starts. There is a check in deal for $5 off $25.

Yelp
I had gotten free tickets through Yelp to see Dwayne Kennedy last night and it ended up being a lot of fun. My boyfriend and I showed up super early because we were worried about traffic on 95 (who isn't?!) so to our surprise we were seated right in the front row! They make sure that all of the tables are filled, so we ended up sharing our table with another couple, which was fine. The show started around 7:30, and had two openers prior to the headliner, which could've either been cool or a drag, but both were pretty funny. Overall it was a nice little date night filled with some laughs.

Yelp
The misses and I love coming here to catch our favorite comedians. They usually get some pretty big names, and we've been able to catch a few, like Earthquake, Ali Saadiq and Todd Barry. The venue is really nice; the seating is intimate, and there really isn't a bad seat as far as the view is concerned. Like Helium though, the first row of seats are literally right up against the stage, so if you're in the front, there's a more than average chance of interaction/getting roasted. The area is alright. Parking is an absolute beast, but I've come to expect that from almost everywhere in Philly. There IS a lot a couple hundred feet down the street, but it's like $25. If you DO drive around looking for street parking, OH DEAR GOD WATCH OUT FOR POTHOLES! There is a pot hole on one of the surrounding side streets that will literally tear your cars FRAME up if you fall into it. It's like a sinkhole. Punchline has a full bar and they have some bites to eat too, so its a one stop shop here. The drinks and food aren't going to blow you away, but you won't wish you didn't waste your time and money either.

Yelp
I've been here a few times now and I've loved all of my experiences...it is my preferred comedy spot in the Philly area. The price is right, the cocktails are strong (and interesting) and the food is surprisingly good (I have to be honest, I wasn't expecting much in the culinary department). I saw a review saying the service is slow and I have to say they've stepped their game up because I've not had this issue. I can also tell the staff tries to be discreet when moving around during the show. It's appreciated...they can be a tad bit rude or short with you at times though (but not the box office guys, theyre always lovely) I love the layout of the space. Ive had issues in other venues where your experience of the show is really sullied if you don't have great seats but I think at punch line, you're bound to have a good time wherever you are...and your not bumping elbows with your neighbour too much. I hate the parking situation in this area though. Ah well

Yelp
So, I'm big on comedy. Life is too hard not to find time to laugh. When my favorite comedians come into town they are usually at The Punchline I recently went to see Ali Sadiq and had a great time. The seating was a lil ugh. But in all fairness I was late as ever. Sometimes the service can leave a little to be desired but all in all its a good time. I gave them 5 stars because of the quality of comedians they have visiting.

Yelp
Came here for the Valentine's Day show and enjoyed every second of it. We arrived about 10 minutes late but we were ushered in to great and were still lucky enough to get great seats but thankfully not in the front row to become a part of the show. We weren't familiar with the acts but we were not disappointed at all! The host left a lot to be desired but he wasn't the main event so it was bearable. The 3 acts after has me looking forward to going to the next comedy show at Punchline. Regarding the drinks, they were okay in taste but they got the job done.

Yelp
We came back here to try the place again. My wife son free tix at South street festival. Main highlight was Ricky Velez. The host for the night was a Indian guy and had some interesting punch lines. The line up was great and we really laughed our hearts out. We ordered the beer basket. There is Yelp discount. Food was fine. The bar outside had some interesting cocktails. The place gets completely empty when the show is over. Nice experience. Will come back here again.

Yelp
I came here tonight to see Ali Siddiq and I was a bit underwhelmed with my experience at the ticket office. Yelp offered a $5/$25 check in offer and while the guy at the ticket booth was nice, he said he was unable to honor it. It doesn't state for food or drinks so I'm not sure what it's supposed to be used for since the bar is called something different. Once the doors opened, there was a mad rush to get in the long winding line to get led to your seats for the show. We had general admission but were seated with a couple at a middle table in the center of the room. Our server was good; our table had first round of drinks long before the show started (we were seated pretty early on). There were two comedians before the headliner but in my opinion, one was better than the other. The 'host' who opened the show spent her whole set talking about her husband who she wants to divorce. It was funny the first 5 minutes she talked about it, but that literally was the ONLY thing she based her set on. It was honestly like beating a dead horse and made her sound pretty jaded. The second comedian was funnier. He also appeared to be a crowd favorite since there was lots of laughter during his set. I think his name was Skeet Carter. Ali Siddiq, the headliner, was good as well. The whole crowd seemed to enjoy his set and it was disappointing when it had to end. The food definitely left something to be desired for me. I've definitely had my fair share of margherita and this was one of the priciest and yet worst ones I've had. The crust tasted like it was previously frozen (similar to an Elios pizza) with crispy crust and slightly undercooked center. The 'sauce' tasted like it was spaghetti sauce and not any sort of pizza sauce. I was hungry so I ate it but for $13, even a mall food court can make a decent margarita pizza. All in all, it's definitely not a cheap night out ($26-$27 for tickets, 2 drink minimum per person). I think we spend like $56 on tickets and $60 for drinks, apps, and tip. Parking is $20 in the nearby lot or you can take your chance in the nearby streets.

Yelp
We decided to swing by Punch Line Philly for a little Saturday night comedy and boy did we have a blast! Punch Line is one of Philly's premiere comedy hotspots and they always have a great line up of well accredited comedians ready to bring you knee slapping jokes! The location hold 300 guest. The food is very tasty and you need to know that they do have a two drink minimum that they take very serious! If you're looking for good comedy this spot comes highly recommended to my fellow yelpers!

Yelp
Came for a "single ladies" Valentine's date night... Lol. I watched the Awkward Sex & the city comedy sketch. The show was actually pretty cool. There were 4 comedians. The first comedian was a bit slow on "funny" . He read a story about an erotic novel that he wrote when he was 14 years old. The story was cute and even partially funny but it took too long. I'm thinking if he cuts out some of the content it would be a better joke. The second person was a woman, Afro-Latina, she was hilarious. Her set was even longer than the first person which was great because she was actually really really funny! Very quick punchlines. Third person was a hilarious white, openly gay male. I found his stories to be quite graphic which isn't a bad thing. However I can only imagine some of the people in the crowd were a bit taken by that. ‍ I absolutely enjoyed it! The fourth act, a woman, was quite funny as well. She curated the event. Super quirky and bubbly. But I'm not sure I want to hear her talk about her poop issues all night! I was not pleased with the food. I ordered fish tacos. Wish I had eaten dinner before I arrived. I was even more disappointed that I had a Yelp check-in offer and I was told that they are no longer honoring the offer. Why have it as an option of it is no longer being offered?!

Yelp
Ordered the knockout platter which was supposed to have cheesesteak egg rolls, chicken tenders, jalapeño poppers, fries and a Bavarian pretzel. The chicken tenders were only tiny little pieces of fried breading, with little to no chicken inside. I mean tiny, like the size of blueberries. Instead of cheesesteak egg rolls I received a HALF of a cheesesteak egg roll and two vegetable egg rolls. The pretzel was definitely cooked from frozen, the fries were soggy but not bad and the jalapeño poppers were pretty good. Definitely not worth $28 and a two drink minimum when the cheapest beers they had were $14. I'm just hoping that some of the food/bev profits went towards the main act tonight. Service on the other hand, was awesome. I never had an empty glass and was routinely asked if I needed anything. Venue was clean and the staff were great. Just fix the food. The food that I received should never have left the kitchen looking the way it did.
