Punchbowl Inn

I live stopping by here for a coffee when visiting Lowther estate or after an open air pool swim. Yet to eat here but the food looks and smells yummy. Great picnic tables outside.

Squeezed us in just before the kitchen closed on a sunday night. Staff were great with kids and dog! Food delicious and good potions especially for the kids menu which when you have pre-teens, isn't usually enough but adult meals are too much!

Beautiful meal for me and my son! Friendly and welcoming service. Lovely cosy place! We will be back

Food was amazing. The haggis black pudding stack was absolutely delicious and, personally, a must try. Staff were amazing as well. Had an absolutely lovely lunch here.

Tremendous food, lots of space, three real ales from Fell Brewery. Wonderful!

Me and my fiancé decided last minute to find a nice little room to stay over and as soon as we pulled up we realised we visited here for a meal the same time last year ! We were so happy because our previous visit was very good and the staff was lovely to us , so we knew we were in for a nice stay, the staff are all so lovely and welcoming , we was showed into our room which was nice and clean ! The new bathrooms where lovely too, I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone who is in the area! The breakfast was lovely too! 😊

We had back room for my daughter's pre wedding drinks and the staff were run off their feet but truly couldn't do enough for us. Wonderful evening had by all. Thank you

The rooms are great, but a little bit dirty, great service, the food was very good but the chicken schnitzel had a bit too much breading and a bit burned
