Service is great here, friendly staff and happy to do recommendations. The food itself was great with bold flavors. The pulpo dish is very nice and subtle (not the usual chunky tentacles); the taco’s are amazing; tuna tartare very fresh and nice crunch from the bottom of the rice; main course whole fish from the grill was really well prepared and tasted excellent. Overall very much recommended!

Very cozy and nice atmosphere. I ate the slow-cooked black angus and it was very tasteful. The starter (tuna something) was okay. The dessert was a cake that tastes like cookies and milk, so definitely not worth 10€. At this restaurant we were discussing how good Lecanda was

Great food and restaurant athoshere. Would recommend ordering their Pez Gordo! In terms of service, it started good but later they did not come by anymore (not picking up plates after finishing or ask for additional drinks & desert orders).

Absolutely wonderful experience at Puntarena Madrid. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling rushed. The staff is clearly well-trained and passionate about making guests feel comfortable, which really elevates the whole dining experience. The quality of the food is exceptional. Every dish was beautifully presented, fresh, and full of flavor, showcasing high-quality ingredients and great attention to detail. You can really tell care is put into both the kitchen and the menu. Puntarena is a perfect choice whether you’re going for a relaxed lunch or a special dinner. Excellent service, delicious food, and a great atmosphere—highly recommended!

Delicious, high quality authentic Mexican food. Great cocktails and a good selection of mezcal and tequila.

An excellent restaurant experience overall. The cocktails were absolutely delicious, and the service was truly outstanding. Both the waiter and waitress took the time to explain each dish in detail, which added a thoughtful and personal touch to the meal. The food itself was refined and perfectly portioned — generous without being overwhelming. We had Costilla Braseada en Machete so good! If you’re dining as a couple, I highly recommend ordering two starters and sharing a main course; it’s a great way to sample more of the menu. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, enhanced by well-chosen music that was pleasant and at just the right volume (a rare and appreciated detail). A genuinely delightful evening — special thanks to the staff for taking such good care of two visiting French diners!

The servers were so friendly and helped us in choosing food and drinks. You can tell that they're (Lucía) knowledgeable about their offerings. Also everything was so fresh and the drinks and dessert were perfectly balanced. Not too sugary at all. The restaurant is on the pricier side but definitely worth it for a special occasion.

Had an absolutely fabulous time celebrating our anniversary at Puntarena. We sat on the terrace and despite it being December, there were plenty of patio heaters and the roof was covered so that gave it a homely feel. The top two dishes had to be the sea bass and the braised rib, they were utterly delicious. The margaritas were excellent too. All round 10/10 for a special occasion, as it was on the expensive side.

Absolutely one the best true Mexican restaurants i have ever tried! Cockatails are amazing!
