Voting with a 3 since my experience keeps balancing itself out in a number of ways.
First off, was confused when we first walked in and I started seating my family and I, only to get a number of quizzical looks from the servers around us. Was glad when they stopped us and seated my family and I (a party of 7) in a private room in the back for a birthday.
Once seated, the waiter lets us know we have to go up to the counter to order. I felt a little confused by this, because we're probably going to tip you, but then we have to go to the counter. To add, with a party of seven, we're ordering for everyone so we had nominate two people to walk to the counter and order for us.
Then we notice that the tv has the workers being recorded as they're cooking. At first I'm thinking that I like that I know they're not spitting on my food or doing anything horrific kitchens probably do without us customers knowing, but then I also can't help but think of how shook the cooks probably feel knowing they're being recorded and watched by customers.
Then our food is ordered, and we forgot to order a coke. Every time you make a purchase, they make you pay on the spot with their tablet, which I guess is understandable but if we're a table that stays for a while, wouldn't it make sense to just keep a tab open like a regular sit down restaurant, especially if wait staff is occasionally checking in on us...?
But then the food comes and it's delicious! We especially LOVED the burrata platter and I thoroughly enjoyed my white sauced mushroom pizza with the addition of prosciutto. However, the bruschetta confused me, and my mom almost didn't think there was any cheese on it. Bread wasn't crisped and it wasn't topped with balsamic. In fact, it was the same bread as the bread served in the burrata platter, so we barely even touched the dish! Even still, the croquette was chefs kiss, and I definitely want to try the arancini next time.
Overall, we loved our favorites and had a great time, so I'll definitely be giving this place another chance eventually but there is potential for improvement, which is okay if you're a new establishment!
