"Head to the Neapolitan pizzeria in Mosaic for Black Friday lunch and try one of their signature pizzas like the diavola or the onion tart. They’ll also be offering a seasonal selection of draft beer flights all day for just $8, as well as their signature spritzes including the limoncello, grapefruit and Pupatella spritzes for just $10. Mosaic’s “Sip & Stroll” program permits diners to carry brunch drinks to-go while perusing more of the district’s shops." - Vinciane Ngomsi

The pizza here is definitely more authentic Italian than other places and I definitely enjoyed eating here. My favourite was the prosciutto arugula pizza. It had the perfect balance of sauce, greens, and meat. The prosciutto was very tender and it was pretty tasty. For dessert I had yet another pizza: the Nutella pizza which was pretty unique. The service was also great and the waiters are friendly and attentive.

I came here on a recommendation and while the pizza was not bad it is also nothing to rave about. I got the prosciutto arugula pizza and as much as I enjoyed it I probably would not come back simply because to be honest I prefer a higher standard of food. Service was good depending on the waiter I got at the time.

We recently ordered two pizzas, one salad, and one dessert from this restaurant we had meant to try since we kept seeing this brand's multiple locations around the DMV area. Our experience could have been better, and it's unlikely that we will order from them again. The Margherita DOC Pizza had a thin, chewy crust that tasted good, but something could have been better. The Caivano (Meat Lovers) Pizza looked appealing but was far too salty, and we had to keep drinking water. The side salad was shareable and enjoyable. However, the Sfogliatela dessert was disappointing. It was small and had an okay taste, and we couldn't find the "whipped cream and chocolate syrup" that was supposed to be included - it must have melted during delivery.

Went to see what all the hype was about after seeing them on social media. I was very disappointed, the pizza was very soggy & lacked flavor. We got 3 pizzas & an appetizer. The service was neither bad nor good.. it was an hour to closing so could understand if our waitress was tired. The atmosphere is pleasant, there’s outdoor seating so you get to enjoy the nice weather. Overall would not come back.

Google
The Margherita pizza was pretty good. The crust was excellent. Could’ve had better cheese and sauce distribution. It was a little bit soggy, but not too bad. Could’ve used more basil. Wasn’t blown away, but it was pretty solid overall.

The dining experience at this Pupatella was a joke. The servers/hosts were too busy chatting and laughing with each other to attend to guests properly. It took forever for someone to take our order and to just give us waters, at least 20 minutes of just sitting there before a young Spanish male finally came and took our order. Then, a Caucasian family sat next to us and were somehow attended to right away and even got their order before we did! The crazy part is that they ordered almost the same pizzas that we did, but with extra drinks and appetizers, and somehow they still got served before us. We are not Caucasian, maybe that's why the preferential treatment. At this point, we had just been sitting around for more than half an hour to 40 minutes while the newly arrived guests to our left were eating away. I could tell the people around us probably noticed as well, since we had just been sitting at an empty table just drinking water. The food finally came, only to find it wasn't even what we ordered. It belonged to another table. We waited some more and a young Spanish female finally brought us our pizzas. I had asked if she could give us some napkins as well, she rolled her eyes, laughed, and just walked away. What a bizarre experience. The pizza was not even good. It arrived not even warm, like it had just been sitting out for a while. After a few bites, I just stopped eating entirely and didn't even bother with the rest of it. We've been to other Pupatella locations and this is not worthy of being one. It is beyond disappointing in comparison in terms of food, quality, and especially service. Never returning.

Atmosphere is amazing - we sat outside and the weather was amazing. The service was not bad either which was nice. The food was okay we ordered a side salad, zucchini fries and white and red pizza.

Google
I must say I was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming and inviting. The selection of pizzas was extensive and each topping was available fresh and of the highest quality. The pizza itself was simply outstanding, with a thin and crispy crust and a generous topping of tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and basil. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure that every customer was well taken care of. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience and I would highly recommend this Italian pizza restaurant to anyone looking for authentic and delicious

Yelp
This location is so much less stressful than the one in Arlington. the pizza is still just as good, but there is never a wait for a table, the service is ... decent although not perfect, and it's not loud or crowded. The food comes out in reasonable times. I enjoy their wine list and their spritz options. The margarita pizza is delicious and it's been rated as the best neopolitan style pizza around, so there really is no reason not to stop by. I have had a few slow servers or a few messed up orders (giving the pizza to the wrong table). But the place is SO lowkey, you don't feel rushed and they eventually correct it. And it's still worth going. I am surprised that this place doesn't have a constant takeout business going. Only a few at a time.

Yelp
Went here for dinner, this place offer tables indoors and outside when the weather permits. The restaurant offers alcoholic drinks and non alcoholic. The restaurant offers house made dough with fresh ingredients imported from Italy. I ordered the margherita pizza which comes with buffalo mozzarella, basil and olive oil. Also order the chorizo pizza which comes with spicy Spanish chorizo sausage, thinly-shaved red onions, roasted red pepper and fresh mozzarella. Average pizza start 15.50 and varies on the toppings added. The restaurant also offer panini, salad, pasta and kids menu. The restaurant has parking available.

Yelp
Having really enjoyed our lunch at the Pupatella in Reston, we decided to try the location in Mosaic.  The site is colorful and clean and airy with many tables and a bar area.  There is also a lot of outside seating. The only downside to this location was that the music was pumped up pretty high so that even our server apologized that she could not hear us over it.  We ordered the sausage arancini which were super crispy on the outside and warm and gooey on the inside.  They are a great comfort food for when the weather turns cold and rainy.  The pizzas this time seemed a little more doughy and not as flavorful as our last visit to the Reston location which was a little disappointing.  The tiramisu, though, was light and tasty.  There is plenty of parking in the nearby garage and it is always fun to walk around the neighborhood.

Yelp
Amazing Neapolitan pizza! Tried a couple of their appetizers, and pizzas and all tasted amazing. Food was fast and hot. Service was nice.

Yelp
I went here with a friend, and wasn't impressed. The place was not busy, but they were fully staffed. We stood for a few minutes before being acknowledged. Im sure they saw us, unless they are all legally blind. I asked if they were open. Then we get seated. After we were sat and given menus, we were ignored again. I told my friend, the service is not good. I could only imagine how the food will be. Friend, said let's wait a bit more because it's hot, and we are starving. Friend asks for a server. Finally, we placed our orders, I just wanted pizza. Friend got Mahgarita, I got one with arugula and some type of ham. I forgot. I got my pizza and I was appalled by my pizza. Like what type of mess is this?! My pizza wasn't cutted well. 4 semi slices. Too huge ham slices?!! Like I shouldn't be using a knife and fork to eat my pizza. We weren't checked on, the nice bartender lady, kept our drinks refilled. Hence why this is 2 stars and not one star. Dessert menu, a joke. I don't recommend. We should've went to the other pizza place.

Yelp
The pizza and salads are delicious, made with super fresh ingredients. Our server Anna was kind and thoughtful, and never kept us waiting. The staff are friendly and proud of where they work- it shows! Highly recommend for any occasion.

Yelp
This pizza is great and thin and even better cold the next day. Had the spinach, goat cheese and pine nut pizza it was amazing. Truly amazing. Then tried the pepperoni which was spicy to me. I don't do spice I'm overly sensitive. I didn't really enjoy the pepperoni at night but it was the perfect breakfast cold the next day.

Mark David G.

Yelp
Came in with three people on a Friday evening. Not too busy and they have a happy hour. The appetizers were small portioned / just okay. Can probably skip on these and go straight for the pies if it isn't that busy. The pizza itself is tasty. Cheese was as 6 or 7/10 but I thoroughly enjoyed the crust. Good texture, not soggy but bendable to eat a folded bite. They have a lot of combinations and toppings so will come back to try the others. Pretty good pizza.

Sung K.

Yelp
Avoid. Maybe we just got unlucky and had a bad service but there are plenty of other pizzarias to go around here so dont make the same mistake. Sampler was overfried and saddest looking plate of food ive paid for in a long time. Pizzas were just ok and nothing to rave about.

Eric C.

Yelp
We placed and paid for our order online. When we arrived they didn't process it, we waited another 15 min. When we got our pizzas they did not include any napkins, silverware or any other condiments we selected online. Staff seemed clueless, some untrained teenagers who could care less. Iwaited at the pickup windows after waiting the 15 min. The girl just turned around looked at me and didn't even bother to open windows. So, I went inside. The. One of the 3 pizzas was not what wad ordered. Pizza was not even very good I do no suggest dining here. Very disappointed customer.

Ken G.

Yelp
Food was not good. Pizza taste bland. Vegetable and Meatballs Panini had very little taste. Do not recommend.

Andrew K.

Yelp
Food - 8/10 We tried two pizzas from this place, and while the Classica was fine, the Onion Tart was a clear standout. Funky, porky, and sweet from its caramelized onions, our family enjoyed this pie more than the standard, margherita-but-not-margherita. However, let the pizza get a little cold, and the cheese will become stringy, hard-to-cut globs (of goodness, don't get me wrong). Service - 8/10 Our two pizzas came out around 20 minutes after ordering, which felt a little long considering it was 2 PM on a Thursday, well past lunch rush. That being said, our servers were pleasant, and there were no issues with our orders. Atmosphere - 8/10 It's in Mosiac, so of course the surrounding areas outside the restaurant are a great place to walk around and lend a lot to the joint's friendly vibe. Perhaps the only gripe would be that the back area of the restaurant is a little too removed from the inviting front eatery, and there are only two, single-occupancy bathrooms for the whole place. Overall - A nice neighborhood place in Mosiac if you want a personal pizza, but you could def go more adventurous if you want.

Ben Y.

Yelp
The pizza here was simply ok. The service was efficient and the arancini was cooked to perfection but the pizza their pride and joy was just mediocre. The dough was a tad too squishy for my liking despite their fancy oven. The toppings were perfectly fine but a pizza only has a few things it's being carried on, the toppings, the sauce and the dough. If one of those three things are off then the pizza fails to succeed. Sadly this pizza went 2/3 in its components. Just leave the dough in the oven for a tad bit longer in the future.

Yelp
3.4/5. Walking around Mosaic, a few friends and I decided to try Pupatella as it was recommended by a few people. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the expectations as I thought it would. The Food: I went with a Margherita Pizza as my main entree, and Nonna's Meatballs as my appetizer. To start first, the meatballs weren't bad, but nothing amazing. However, it was a little small for the price. Would I get it again? Probably not. It was an average tasting meatball. Now for the pizza, I was looking forward to this the most as I love a good Margherita pizza! But, the pizza was slightly soggy and lacked a little flavor. The Service: The service was decent. The staff was nice and friendly, but there was no one to be found when we needed multiple water refills. The Atmosphere: The restaurant is nice. Spacious and clean. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, a 3.5/5. That pizza was just OK, nothing to write home about. The service was decent, but could've been better as well.

Kimberly L.

Yelp
3.5/5 starts as compared to two of my favorite neopolitian pizza places in Chicago. I wanted to try this place as it came highly recommended and while I enjoyed ordering at the counter and grabbing a table, I did not think the pizza lived up to the hype. We got the appetizer sampler platter which everything was good but nothing special, all fried. Then we got the arugula prosciutto pizza and the pesto white sauce one and added crumbled sausage. Both pizzas were good but not mind blowing amazing as we were told. They both could have used a little more flavor and I was surprised the crust on the bottom didn't have a tad more crisp to it, it was soggy. We took half of each home and added hot honey to the pesto and balsamic glaze to the argula one to jazz it up. Sadly I don't plan to return.

Yelp
I finished a workout and wanted to get some pizza to go, so I called to order. I got a side salad, some cheesy bread (mozzarella on Italian bread), and a chorizo pizza to go. The person I spoke with said they'd need a card to charge it to, so I have it. Then I was asked "would you like to add a tip?". I found this very off-putting, but I wanted to try this place based on my prior experiences with the Arlington location and I was hungry bordering on hangry, so I said yes. That rude request framed everything else. A tip is after service is rendered, not as a precondition. It's rude, it's obnoxious, and I'm kinda done with this place after that. Onto the pizza. It was OK. Dine in is fine, but it doesn't travel well and they're overly aggressive on tips for carry out.

Cyrus F.

Yelp
Decent pizzas, but way overpriced. Ordered from Uber eats and expected a large pizza and it was a small. Salads also disappointingly small. Misleading menu and lame response from owner.

A. M.

Yelp
While the food was good delicious even. I doubt I'd be inclined to revisit. The waiting was awful. Took forever to be seated not because they were busy but there was no one to seat you. Took 15 to be offered a drink. I got up after 20 minutes to see where my can soda was. A nice gal said she would find out what was going on, she said several people were having the same issues. I did see people looking for silver ware and another for napkins. My pizza came out in a timely manner and it was very good but man the waiting was brutal. The servers weren't rude so I'm not sure where the disconnect was.

Aarti B.

Yelp
Delicious wood-fired Neopolitan pizza, authentic and bursting with flavor! Love the one in Arlington and so glad there's a closer location that opened up in Mosaic District. It's always fun to watch the pizza baking next to the inferno in the large dome oven. The Margherita DOC is my go-to. The charred pillowy pizza crust with dollops of buffalo mozzarella cheese and sweet marinara sauce is divine. My hubby and I shared a pizza, but could have easily devoured our own! The house red Sangiovese taste like a Malbec and hubby enjoyed an apple whisky based cocktail. There's ample spacious seating that's not elbow rubbing and good for social distancing. Very family-friendly. Hubby and I enjoyed a nice casual date night and will bring the kiddos here, next time!

Aresh S.

Yelp
BEWARE STAY AWAY Absolutely horrible; waited 15 minutes to be seated. For the first 15 minutes, no one showed up at our table; then we ordered and waited an hour, but the food never arrived. THERE WAS NO MANAGER AND OUR WAITRESS DISAPPEARED FOR ALMOST 45 minutes

VyVy V.

Yelp
December 2022 - COVID Review: Came here with my family for a lunch and what looks like a sit down restaurant was actually you ordering at the cashier. However, staff were still really attentive in getting you drinks and silverware. There's a number of pizzas on the menu or you can create your own (max of 4 ingredients including cheese). The pizzas came out pretty quick after you order too. My husband and I got the margarita and meatball pizzas and split those. They come in large 4 slices but it can still be considered a personal pizza. We both really loved the crusts on the pizza and everything was really flavorful. I can see what other Yelpers have mentioned about crispy edges but soggy middle - I think that's just due to the brick oven. Our pizzas weren't super soggy though so maybe it depends on the day.

John W.

Yelp
Great food and great service from Piero!!! My wife and I come here almost every other week! We bring family from out of town for the awesome pizza! PIERO for the win!!!!

Bo ..

Yelp
Jake Garrison the GM reached out promptly and offered a refund/apology but more importantly wanted to make sure improvements were made on the feedback. Things happen and he really made it right. One of the best responses from an establishment I've experienced. I came back for a meal comped and it was much better. 5 stars for that alone, and updated overall to a solid 4 since I can't give increments. Thank you.

Lily H.

Yelp
Was excited to finally try Pupatella at a much closer location than the original establishment. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short. We sat outside, and the restaurant was about 40% occupied for a Tuesday night. We ordered a couple pizzas and bruschetta. The bruschetta was flavorless. The tomatoes were sad and the bread didn't taste fresh. The pizzas tasted decent though the sauce lacked flavor. The pizzas also seem smaller than the original establishment? Really expensive pizza for the size. Someone checked in one time, we had to go back to the counter ourselves for more water, soda, and finally a to-go box. Not that the restaurant was busy - many of the staff were just standing around and chatting with each other. Not sure what exactly we're tipping for if everything is self-serv?

Mariam A.

Yelp
I came here this past weekend to try this place out and thought it was pretty good! Their inside seating is great and they have outside seating as well. They serve pizzas, appetizers, sides, drinks and more. The vibe of this restaurant is more relaxed. It's definitely not a fancy type of restaurant. I visited this restaurant on a Sunday around 2 pm and they were not too busy. I enjoyed each pizza my group and I ordered. I ordered the Margherita pizza and fried mozzarella balls. My friends ordered the Pepperoni pizza and the Pesto pizza. The pizzas were done in about 20 min. The mozzarella balls came out about 10 min. I will say the price to me for their pizzas, sides and appetizers are way too pricey. The pizza tasted good, but they were not the best pizzas I've tried. The give you five fried mozzarella balls that are so tiny for almost $7.00. I was so disappointed how expensive it was. The pizzas did come out hot though which was a big plus. The service also needs a lot of work. The two waiters serving us honestly looked like they were not having it that day. They weren't around our table at all unless they came to give us our food. The service could have been a lot better. Overall I have to give this place 3 stars due to the not so great service and the price of the food. I'm not sure if I'll come back to try this place again unless changes are made.

Lottie Y.

Yelp
Good outdoor seating area for the summer. The food and drink were excellent and the pizza wait time was a bit long. The waiter was very nice.

Cristy R.

Yelp
Spent $25 on a pizza that arrived cold. Like. The cheese is congealed cold. Never again.

Sonny H.

Yelp
Service was great Pizza was ok I tried this place about 3 times now ..............,.,,,,,,,,

Emily L.

Yelp
Food is delicious. We tried the margherita, sausage onion, prochiutto (buffala bianca). They were all good but my favorite was margherita. We also got brussels sprouts and Napoli salad.. you know... for balance. I'm not sure how healthy fried Brussels sprouts can be but they were delicious none the less. If you're confused about service, so is everyone else. I walked in and there wasn't really a host but servers suggesting to customers to sit. It's more like a self service kind of place- you have to walk up to the register and order pizza. You pay on the spot. People bring food to you. Waters get filled occasionally, but you might have a flag someone down. There's street parking which fills up quickly. The parking garage is a few blocks away. If you drive around the corner, there's a parking lot that's a 5 minute walk away.

I K.

Yelp
Went with some friends and has an amazing time. Ordered two pizzas and loved them both. We got a table right away, and drinks came pretty fast. The waiters were sweet and had an overall an amazing time! Would totally come again.

Charles V.

Yelp
Really good pizza! My son and I were interested in trying the new Mosaic location. We had enjoyed their pizzas in their original Arlington location a few years ago and were hoping for a similar great experience. And they did not disappoint! We both ordered the Pepperoni (one of my favorites). As expected, there was a great balance in flavors. From the dough (which was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside), to the sauce (which was smooth and not acidic), to the health amount of pepperoni on top. True Neapolitan! The only downside is the price. If it was more affordable, I think I would be a regular.

Jada B.

Yelp
This review is on service, and I hate leaving bad reviews as our whole table has worked in the restaurant industry ...but this was reallllly bad . We've always loved the other Pupatella locations and love the service and food. We came in with a party of 11 people. The hostess was nice and set up our table outside. It took our waiter 15-20 minutes to come to our table. We ordered a round of drinks....they never came. I finally went inside and asked the bartender about them as I couldn't find our waiter. After tracking him down, I asked about them again. We ordered appetizers and pizzas, still no cocktails/ drinks or water.. The pizza and appetizers came, but still no waiter, no drinks, no cocktails, missing pizzas, and missing appetizers. I had to go get our own water from the bar... still no drinks. It took 45 minutes to get our drinks. The waiter was pretty much non-existent. I really hope they turn the service around in the restaurant as the food is very good.

Aparna N.

Yelp
Pupatella is a great spot for a Neapolitan slice! I've had take out from the Arlington location several times but this was my first time in the Mosaic location. The restaraunt is quite spacious with indoor and outdoor tables and has a great retro feel. The servers were very attentive and our food took a little bit of time however it was extremely fresh! We ordered an appetizer and two pizzas for 3 people and that was a good amount for us. They have several options for vegetarians which is great for my family and we really enjoyed the pizzas we ordered. The white spinach pizza and the red tomato artichoke. The Brussels sprouts were also tasty definitely recommend if you like them! Will definitely be coming back and would recommend for anyone looking for a sit down spot for a slice!

Marcus D.

Yelp
A nice night sitting out in Mosaic sharing two pizzas, one a build your own with mushrooms and the other eggplant with smoked mozzarella. Both were very good, a nice char on both with good amount of toppings. Will be back to try one of their other pizzas soon.

Jenna Alexa I.

Yelp
Voting with a 3 since my experience keeps balancing itself out in a number of ways. First off, was confused when we first walked in and I started seating my family and I, only to get a number of quizzical looks from the servers around us. Was glad when they stopped us and seated my family and I (a party of 7) in a private room in the back for a birthday. Once seated, the waiter lets us know we have to go up to the counter to order. I felt a little confused by this, because we're probably going to tip you, but then we have to go to the counter. To add, with a party of seven, we're ordering for everyone so we had nominate two people to walk to the counter and order for us. Then we notice that the tv has the workers being recorded as they're cooking. At first I'm thinking that I like that I know they're not spitting on my food or doing anything horrific kitchens probably do without us customers knowing, but then I also can't help but think of how shook the cooks probably feel knowing they're being recorded and watched by customers. Then our food is ordered, and we forgot to order a coke. Every time you make a purchase, they make you pay on the spot with their tablet, which I guess is understandable but if we're a table that stays for a while, wouldn't it make sense to just keep a tab open like a regular sit down restaurant, especially if wait staff is occasionally checking in on us...? But then the food comes and it's delicious! We especially LOVED the burrata platter and I thoroughly enjoyed my white sauced mushroom pizza with the addition of prosciutto. However, the bruschetta confused me, and my mom almost didn't think there was any cheese on it. Bread wasn't crisped and it wasn't topped with balsamic. In fact, it was the same bread as the bread served in the burrata platter, so we barely even touched the dish! Even still, the croquette was chefs kiss, and I definitely want to try the arancini next time. Overall, we loved our favorites and had a great time, so I'll definitely be giving this place another chance eventually but there is potential for improvement, which is okay if you're a new establishment!

Jasmine A.

Yelp
I've been waiting for Pupatella to open in Mosaic for the longest time. Now that it is open, I finally made time to stop by. I came here for lunch with my friend, and we order the arancini with sausage, nonna's meatball, buffala bianca, and pesto pizza. The appetizers came out first and I have to say they were both ok. We tried the arancini first and they were crispy on the outside and cheesy with bits of sausage on the inside. To be honest, it was a lacking flavor and was a little bland. Also, a bit expensive ($7) for just two pieces. Moving onto the nonna's meatballs, these also needed a hint of more salt, herbs, and cheese. Seemed like it was ground beef rolled into a ball with marinara sauce on top. The main reason for coming here was to try their pizza. We had the buffala bianca and pesto pizza. The buffala bianca is a white pizza topped with buffalo mozzarella, basil, and prosciutto. I liked the thinnest of the pizza pie but it was a little soggy when I ate it and it literally just came out to the table. The pesto pizza was good, very herbaceous. Topped with walnuts and mozzarella. Overall, I liked the pizza and I would like to try other pies on their menu. I probably would not order the appetizers.

James H.

Yelp
Great food. The fried potato stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella is incredible. Nice staff with prompt service. Will be back soon.

Jamilah O.

Yelp
It was so yummy. I ordered the Brussel sprouts and the margherita DOC and can I just say I fell in love with the brussel sprouts. The combination of the sweetness from the green apples paired with the brussels sprouts changed the game for me and the dough on the pizza mmm delish.

Yan W.

Yelp
Keeping in mind I went on opening day. The staff was incredibly helpful, but the technology was not keeping up. Even though the place was PACKED, they tried to make ordering very efficient. And the pizzas were coming out fast. A very nice staff member tried to help me as I waited in line with an iPad order. Sadly the machine kept breaking over and over again. About five people behind me got to order first while she was fixing it. The staff member was very apologetic and I know it was opening day. No big deal. I ordered the margarita, chorizo, onion, Brussels sprouts, and olives plate. The food was very impressive. Just like in Arlington. The layout of the restaurant is very odd. Customers who are in line actually block the flow of traffic. I would recommend they move the ordering register to whither location. Also, there are no menus unless you ask for a paper copy. They should put the menu up somewhere visible. Or a QR code. You end up getting to the front of the line, asking for a menu, and then holding up the line. You can pick up your order at an outside window.

Brittney C.

Yelp
10/10 Would recommend. I love this place and the service is always great. I still can't figure out if the pepperoni pizza is my favorite or the white pizza.

Nijole T.

Yelp
The pizza year is outstanding! Very well, priced, ideal for families as well. The quality is apparent, the dough, sauce and toppings are all delicious! I really enjoyed their salads and sides as well. The pizzas are made within minutes and best eaten immediately. Highly recommend it!

Susana G.

Yelp
I have been to the Ballston location so decided to try this one out. Very new, great pizza and lots of room to enjoy it. We went on a Saturday and the place was not that full. Lots of employees behind the counter and on the floor cleaning tables. The place looked extra clean and we decided to order Margheritas as well as a personalized one for myself. The cashier was attentive but seemed shy which wasn't a big deal just don't expect to be catered to. The food came out pretty quick and the guy who dropped the food asked if we wanted any cheese or pepper which we got right away. We ate pretty quick as we had a sleepy toddler with us and were happy with our visit.

Ryan C.

Yelp
I was excited to finally see this place opened up. It's located at the less busy/quieter end of Mosaic (in my opinion) which is better. The location is pretty large and has a nice outdoor section right out front. We came in around early dinner time on a Saturday so we got lucky and we combined tables so we could seat our party of 9. Same idea as the other locations, pay at the register and it gets dropped off at the table. We got a couple orders of the burrata, arancini, the Diavola, Classico, Prosciutto Arugula, Margherita, and Caivano pizzas. As expected the pizza (specifically the crust) was still A1 like every other location. The toppings/cheese were plentiful. The burrata was a lot better than I remember. Came on a bed of arugula and tomatoes with prosciutto and bread. It was a hit. Didn't get to try the arancini but I knew it was great already. Service was on point and all the servers were very accommodating and gave us refills regularly. This is probably our new go to Pupatella location since it's a lot closer! Parking can be crazy on weekends though if you're not familiar with Mosaic.

Yelp
Truly outstanding pizzas and appetizers. Generally good service, though it varies visit to visit.

Yelp
I have been coming to this pizzeria since they opened in the DC/Arlington area years ago..... I was excited about the Mosaic location... first two times when we came it was great almost just like the original locations! Today, 11/5/2022, this place SUCKS. It's ran by kids or teenagers that literally hesitate about what their name is, forget about getting your table cleaned, they will wipe around the existing plates. I was given the wrong order TWICE and the wrong bill once. The guy that thinks runs this place with the anchor tattoo on his face clearly can't. He's got attitude, should not be dealing with customer service! Horrible. Never coming back to this location.

Yelp
Happy to see this place finally opened near me. I used to make the long treks to The Arlington location whenever I have a craving for a great pizza. I'm not sure if the reason is this new place or not, but I find the pizzas to be ok, not as good as the ones in Arlington. What really wow me is how big this restaurant is. It is huge w a bar(not full), outdoor seatings, and plenty of tables inside. This is a plus for me. The decorations are very nice. The large wall with graffiti reminds me of downtown LA or Queens in NYC. When you walk in, someone will give you a menu at the door so you can check out all the offerings. Then you can process to the register and order. You will be given a number plate and find a table to your liking. Someone will eventually bring your order to your table. Now for the pizza. The pizza came out not as hot as the ones that I consistently get in Arlington. Not sure why. Maybe all the staffs here are new and still learning. It's still the best pizza place around here and a great addition to Mosaic. I will come back again for sure and see if it will get better

Yelp
Really not sure why this location doesn't have at least 4 stars - it's great! Here's why: It's kid friendly! It's a go to choice for our family, which includes a 1 and 2 year old. They're always so accommodating with high chairs, moving tables around, and water in plastic cups with lids and straws. It's also right next to a little grassy area for the kids to toddle around, which is very helpful when they get restless. It has so much outdoor seating! We've always come around 5, on weekdays and weekends, and have never had any issue getting a table outdoors. The food is delicious! This is probably the most important part. It's all so fresh and clearly has quality ingredients. I've loved everything we've gotten here. Location is great. Mosaic can be a little crazy, but this place is set further back, with a parking lot very close by, so it feels less chaotic.
