Pura Vida Miami

-1 star because of some people on the staff. I’ve came here 3 times now cause I’m staying nearby. So after different experiences and trying different items on the menu I can say that food and coffee are great. Great quality taste presentation and also a good variety. The place is beautiful, nice music always. The thing is, most of the staff are on their phones or don’t really wanna help (it happened twice with different people that they text first, work later. Me standing there waiting for them to finish texting so they can give me a look to ask what do I wanted… cause also, they almost don’t speak either). They don’t greet you when you approach them. Btw You are not supposed to know how things work there the first time you go but it seems it bothers them to explain where are the pick ups, what to do if your order is not ready etc. They just signal, give you looks and that’s it. I had one exception on the first day that was the lady at the register. She was super sweet and knowledgeable. Overall a good place with bad service. It’s a shame

I love Pura Vida <3 Food, coffee and service was always great here, when I lived in Bay Harbour Islands - this was my favourite spot. My only problem with this particular location (which wasn't a thing with other branches like in South Beach for example) - was that - why is there such a strong overpowering bleach smell inside? As you walk in - it literally hits your nose so much - you sit there and feel like you are in airport public bathroom after it was cleaned. It can get hot and noisy outside so people who prefer to sit indoor - have to smell this. Out of this reason, many people I knew - avoided sitting there and opted to go across the road to a competitor's cafe. It is pretty logical - the clientele that prefers 'healthy eating' - usually dislikes toxic harsh smells. For somebody with kids or allergies - it would be a major irritation. I thought it was super obvious, but it never changed and I was coming regardless, but it was a joke between friends. I believe when you sit somewhere with nice food and coffee - you want to smell bakery/coffee, vanilla, maybe some tropical/beach notes, but here it is concentrated Clorox. If I was the manager - I would just change the bleach with alcohol solution or hospital cleaner without smell or bleach the premises at the end of the shift so it can be ventilated before morning.

Absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for relaxing, working, or catching up with friends. The coffee is rich, smooth, and clearly made with care—every cup feels special. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome the moment you walk in.

Great first experience at Pura Vida! Cashier was knowledgeable with recommendations and the food was just delicious! Gotta try the smoothies too! Yum so good!

I’m living at a hotel two blocks away from Pura Vita - Bay Harbor. OMG! I LIVE there! It’s my personal kitchen! I’m there at least once a day, usually twice and there’s plenty of other decent places in the neighborhood. The food is phenomenal! It’s not about “what’s good”. It’s about “what are you in the mood for”. It’s all fresh and fabulous! BUT what makes this spot SO special is the staff. They’ve become like my family. Vale & Mari & Claudia & Omar & Lucas and the rest of the crew are so friendly and warm and go above & beyond to make sure I’m happy. The decor and vibe is beautiful and relaxing. Frankly, I feel so lucky because after a difficult work day, there’s nothing better than having a fresh, healthy dinner with my family. :-)

Absolutely love Pura Vida! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect — the coffee is delicious, the decor is beautiful, and the staff is warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating under the umbrella shade, which made for such a relaxing spot to enjoy our food. Everything is so fresh and the service is quick, which we really appreciated. We also loved the attention to detail — their monogrammed cups and straws are adorable! Love that most of their packaging & cutlery is earth friendly. The chia pudding was so yummy, and I was especially happy to see pistachio milk as a dairy-free option — such a nice touch. Also love that they have GF bread / wraps that taste great. The Perfect Egg Sandwich definitely lives up to its name! This place is a must if you’re looking for a healthy and delicious stop in a great location. Definitely recommend & will be coming back!

We loved how fresh, balanced, and satisfying everything was. We left feeling energized instead of weighed down or sluggish. It was exactly what I needed in the middle of our beach day!

The bowl and the juice were good. The beef empanada was decent.

The avocado spread was Delicious with my Coffee. The Service is amazing and the Atmosphere sitting outside was great. And walking distance to my home .

Ok, this was the first time I have ordered from a healthy food joint and thought "I totally get why people are paying $$$ for rabbit food". The smoothies here are so delicious and satisfying. My favorite is the Coco Azul. The avocado toast was so fresh and delicious too. I ordered from here via Uber Eats, and everything was well-packaged for travel. I just with it were a little more affordable.

The name truly reflects the atmosphere--relaxed, welcoming, and full of life. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The service was smooth and thoughtful, with great recommendations and a genuine smile throughout, also Valentina is amazing always on point with my order and making sure I'm taking care of with love.

Very crowded hot spot in Miami. We waited for a table because the food is delicious. We got huge salads with interesting dressings. Lots of gluten free options. Juice shots. Coffee. Friendly service. Clean bathrooms. Parking lot behind restaurant.

Got the egg white and turkey wrap and it came out cold for pickup , when I asked if I could get it warmed up they said they can't even warm it up. The prices are absolutely absurd to not have good customer service . I will never come back here again.

I didn't know all the locations did not carry the same menu items. I always ordered the butterfly pea & ginger latte at the Sunset Harbor location, but was told they didn't have it at this location. I've been to this location twice and I didn't get the same feel as the others I've been to.

Mad expensive and slow af. I have worked in cafes for 5 years. In no world should it take 20+ minutes for an Americano. Not to mention their automatic tips. The croissant was good though but that just made me more mad.

Worst service from a lady named Yen. I asked for some more iced tea kindly a few times and she pretended to not know English. So I asked another kind man that worked there and he helped me. All of a sudden Yen starts speaking English and runs to the manager (who was also very rude) and snitches on the kind man that got me some more tea. Anyways who cares about the tea, I've just never experienced a situation like this in my life. To pretend not to know English is wild. Worst service and manager. Towards the end Yen tried to confront me, it was very scary. I thought she was going to fight me. I've never seen that before. Many other great places to go. Don't bother going here.

Mmm. Tuna was so fresh. Can't wait to go back and try other things as I'm in miami for the week. they have so many good options. Matcha was also great.

This is a 10 minute or less walk from an un busy part of the beach . I found this place after 30 minutes of driving and finally finding another parking garage. The staff were more then friendly and even help my foot while I was in the bathroom. The food is quickly made but quality.

5 stars to the cappuccino made by Andrea - perfect, beautiful and delicious! I had the croissant egg sandwich and it was very good. Also we ordered the banana nut bread and it was delightfully light and just right. The ambience is white with a modern cafe type casual vibe - and very clean which is great. I'm giving the overall restaurant 4 stars because I would like it to have table ordering service instead of having to order at a counter. The servers do bring the food to the table but still the idea that I have to order it at a counter does detract from the experience. The menu choices look interesting and fresh and healthful and overall I recommend Pura Vida as a place consciously created and managed for a very good patron experience.

I ordered Pura Vida for lunch last week, I placed the order through their app and got it as a pick-up. I ordered their Veggie Wrap. When I made it there my order was just getting ready but the few minutes I spent there, it's always bliss. The restaurant is so beautiful and it got really chill vibes. The wrap was really good, it came with their signature Tahini Sauce and a small side salad. Their app is really accurate so if placing an order for pick up, it's 100% recommended! Even though the wrap was good, if ordering other things, it can definitely get pricey so just a little extra info.

Very expensive, all the bills includes a 15% tip on top of taxes, and very loud music.The owner is systematic and not flexible regarding the music situation. I have been to several Pura Vidas and they're consistent on that. I come here because I like the food options, everything is very well executed and the service is good.

Ehh.. entirely too expensive for what you get. I ordered a chicken sandwich and salad with salmon. I tried the empanadas as well. I was charged a service fee when I ordered my food to-go which added to the already high bill. The place is very clean, but I don't see myself returning.

We arrived at 8am on a Monday morning and were greeted so kindly by Mike! He was on top of taking plates and asking if we needed anything. The avocado toast was delish and the oat milk latte was fantastic! My buddy got the plain overnight oats and rated it "the littest oatmeal in the world" as well as his strawberry banana smoothie! We will be back!

Would you pay $18.00 for this ? This was my first time here and definitely my last! I could have made this at home for $3.00 better looking and better tasting! Pura Vida is definitely Pura Mierda

Agos is awesome, very attentive. Steph at the register is very efficient, food is great, love the sauce/salad dressing.

Adorable little spot on the corner of bay harbour and bal harbour. Great smoothies and bowls. Love the beach vibe and decor too. Service gets a little slow during prime weekend time but worth the wait.

I was visiting and crashed at a friend's place in the area. She took me here for a late brunch and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of their products! The ambience inside was nice too. got the choco smoothie and the passion fruit cake, absolutely gourmet. It was a little pricey but I assumed it's normal for these trendy health spots. I actually returned to try some other menu items before the end of my trip!

Omar was great - excellent customer service. Appreciated his attention to detail and responsiveness.

Pura Vida was a blissful experience. Second time eating here! Atmosphere was vibrant, yet relaxing. Wish I could have sat and enjoyed the moment longer! Great choice for finding healthy eats. Restaurant was clean. Quick service. Food was artistically platted. Iced latte (oatmlyk and agave) was on point! If I was local, I'd be a frequent customer!

I recently tried to place an order for pickup but when going online, they make you create an account (why do I have to create an account with all my personal info if I just want to place a quick 1-time order?). So I called to see if I could place the order on the phone but all you get is a recording that sends you back to the website. Ok, fine, so I went to the restaurant to place the order in person. They automatically charged an additional service fee (I think it was 15%) even though I placed the order to go and hadn't received any service sitting down at a table (they don't offer table service anyway as you place your order at the register and then grab your own utensils and a table while you wait). When I asked why they add an additional service charge for takeout, the girl behind the register laughed and said, "Well that's Miami!". I frequent other restaurants for takeout and am never charged an additional service fee so, no, it's not Miami. The food was decent but overpriced and small (I was still hungry after). As nice as the ambience/decor is there, the experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

You really can't go wrong with any Pura Vida location. I had their new Mediterranean salad (basically a Greek salad) with feta cheese. It was delicious and filling, loved it.

Food, Service, Ambiance, and Staff... All 5 stars!! Agos is wonderful, she makes you feel like you are home! Thank you!

I am surprised that this place has a low rating because I had a great experience. Place is bright and clean. All the staff was amazing, all friendly and efficient. I came for breakfast and I got the avocado smash toast and added feta with a oat milk latte with vanilla. Everything tasted great. Taste fresh and light and delicious. Latte was fantastic too. They have some ready made juices and also pastries that looked amazing. I might come back later this afternoon for a wrap or salad!

This establishment has a customer service issue Steph the supervisor in particular. Her customer service skills are. absolutely awful and horrendous yesterday on the last day of 2024 as I was waiting for my smoothie she asked me if I was waiting on something and I said yes my smoothie she then went on to say how she needs me to step outside and I can't wait inside the store like I'm a dog yet none of the other guests !!!!! who were around me were told to wait outside she singled me out because I was brown for certain & wanted to ridicule and belittle me nothing new being puertorican in the US. Honestly felt let down and discriminated against by her especially when she looked at me with her little smirk thinking it was funny to single me out. She was so dissatisfying, disappointing, & I was extremely let down with this whole unprofessional interaction she could have just said can you take a step to the side for a moment and when it's ready we'll hand it to you but no she wanted me to go outside and they'll call me in she wanted me to shoo away like a mosquito or something. Her attitude is horrendous hopefully she goes into the new year with a better attitude but that doesn't account for the way she talked to me and treated me I use to come often for their smoothie but honestly after that yesterday I will never spend another cent here. I will never come back here she needs to be reminded just because she is a supervisor or whatever the case doesn't mean she can talk down on me. Everyone minus her! Is kind she needs a reality check I will never recommend this place ever again. She needs to check the way she talks to customers especially when they pay so much In their. never again if I could give this place 0 stars I would 1 star is generous.

The worst experience I had in this place. I went to ask for just a snoothie and they never gave it to me. I waited more than an hour and they ended up telling me that their system did not make the order and the worst thing is that the manager was the one who made the requested order. I will not return to this place no matter how nice it looks. The service is one of the worst.

The food was really good, I ordered a veggie burger and my server Sergio was very attentive and kind.

The atmosphere is beautiful here- clean & light I ordered the Salmon bowl and the Matcha Mama and both were light and refreshing! The bowl portion was very large, but not overpowering- I surprisingly finished it, and felt satisfied instead of stuffed. Great pairings in this bowl, and would love to try the tuna next. The Matcha Mama was delicious! I don't know how they created this magical concoction, but sooooo refreshing and tasty. If you like healthy & light with a beautiful atmosphere this is worth a visit. I can't speak on takeout, because I personally enjoy being present at a restaurant and then if an issue arises with my order I can address it, instead of leaving a bad review. This is definitely an easy place to slowdown, and enjoy a drink or meal. Also, I brought my youngest Son, and they easily accommodated him with a high chair (we typically bring one, but it was an unexpected early dinner stop). Not sure why people reduce ratings on price- do they charge a service fee? Yes, that was unexpected, but it was a couple of bucks- go to McDonalds. Is the food more than $10? Yes- but the prices are on the menu. I'm not going to understand why people complain about prices- go to the grocery store, and make it yourself if you can do better-I could definitely make for less, but it was a convenience charge for having someone else make it, and clean up. I was a little surprised by the $23 bowl, but when I order, I am agreeing to pay that much. My guess, is that to stay in business in that location, they need to charge more for food, and then more so that the employees can get a paycheck. Some destinations are just more expensive then others- I enjoyed my meal.

Health conscious neighborhood cafe with a nice variety of dining options as well as coffee, pastries and juices. The space is bright and beautifully decorated feeling light just like the menu options they serve. The Kale Caesar which was a huge portion (it's actually enough for two) was delicious as was the Spicy Tuna Bowl which was a refreshing mix of both hot and cold elements. The Tuna Sprout sandwich was also a perfect portion for a very filling lunch. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options which in this Florida summer heat was very appreciated. A wonderful choice for a healthy and delicious lunch with several locations in the Miami area.

Love the decor, the amount of light pouring into the place and menu options. Juice was delicious as was the orange poppy cake. The place has a lot of energy with its loud music and a lot of tables make it a good place to work (but I had to use hotspot since their wifi was not available). Will be coming back.

I love this pura vida I had a cappuccino with almond & oat milk & they give you the yummiest cookie with it. I had their avocado toast so fresh and appetizing! Amazing service lovely ambiance.

There this morning for a a cappuccino to go . Waited 10 mins in line just to order paid guy at counter after he made sure to say service charge is included , included in a to go cup of coffee I said ok. waited another 10 mins for coffee nothing , asked a waitress she said it should be coming out soon from counter . Waited another 5 mins nothing . I simply walked out with no coffee . Total time 25mins but they charge you service fee for no service and NO COFFEE .

Quality and portions have gone down, price has gone up. Really sad to see this place become just like any other chain. It used to be special. Avocados they have were literally black and bitter. Paid $88 for 3 people! Go to a restaurant!

Pura Vida doesn't disappoint with its charming ambience and attentive service. Wether you want a quick bite to eat or you want to sit down and enjoy breakfast or lunch in the Bag Harbor area, I definitely recommend. And if your in the mood for something sweet try their GF Guava Coconut cookie, and absolute favorite!

We make a point to stop here every single time we're in Miami. Pura Vida is such a gem amongst the Miami food scene. The Kale Ceasar Wrap is a must, or the Pesto Chicken Wrap. Also shoutout to Caren. She went above and beyond for us!

Got in to place an order 5 minutes before close. Was told there is a 15% service charge. What service charge for no service, I asked? "It is the policy for all orders placed in store" came the reply.

Not too sure why the reviews are so terrible. I haven't had any issues here! Super casual place with good food and drinks. Very simple beachy vibes. Prices were decent, but I'm coming from New York, and this is about average for items that use this much fresh produce (Florida produce prices are already much higher than in NY). There is a 12% service charge which I don't mind because when you're dining in, someone is still bringing your food to you and clearing the table. So it's a low maintenance sit down restaurant which I prefer. You're in and out and don't have to worry about having someone wait on you. I'll be back! (Also my pup loves the dog friendly macarons)
