Tucked into the heart of Manhattan Beach, Pure Coffee is pretty good. I popped in for a flat white, and even though I had to rush out with it in a to-go cup, the flavor still stopped me in my tracks—creamy, smooth, and layered with notes of marshmallow, lemon, and sweet chocolate from their espresso blend. Dessert in a cup. I was this close to ordering the almond croissant—flaky, golden, and topped with beautifully toasted slivered almonds—but I’ll be back for it next time. It looked incredible. They’re rocking Mavam espresso machines, which are not only gorgeous but precision-driven—perfect for making magic no matter who’s behind the bar. The vibe is clean, stylish, and comfortable. Plenty of seating whether you’re working, catching up with a friend, or just people-watching. They’ve got a bathroom (huge win), and it’s conveniently located next to FedEx, Chase, and some solid local food spots, so you can make a whole little outing out of it. Even the for-here cups are a moment—total Barcelona café vibes. Can’t wait to go back and linger.

As a weird coffee person, this place fits the bill. The coffee is strong and well made. The pastries over the last few days have been surprisingly nice. The dudes behind the counter that helped me had jokes AND knowledge. The whole crew has style and vibes. Its 100% what I would expect from a coffee shop half a mile from the beach.

Truly a magical spot! The best community, sweetest and most supportive staff, amazing food, and wonderful vibe! Pure Bean is probably the reason I graduated law school, because I spent all my time studying there!

Hot lattes and chocolate/almond croissants were both so fresh and delicious! Highly recommend the honey cinnamon latte.

Talk to the owners Barry and Heitz, talk to the friendly staff, and grab some terrific coffee made from their air-roasted beans flown in fresh from their South Dakota home base. Admittedly, I was not very familiar with air-roasted coffee beans, but they say it makes for a smoother fresher, less acidic taste.

I got a coffee to take away from Pure Bean. I ordered the Lavender Honey Latte with oat milk and it was absolutely delicious. The staff was so friendly and answered my questions to help me choose the perfect drink. There were a lot of people inside the coffee shop and it would be a great place to bring my laptop and work from. It's quite bright inside with a lot of natural light and plants. Highly recommend checking out Pure Bean if you're in the area.

Pure Bean is my favorite coffee shop in the South Bay. The shop has the perfect ambiance to study and work at, it is quite cozy with good music. There's quite a few regulars that work from home here and quite a few students from the local schools studying here daily. It is also a good place to catch up and have a coffee at. The coffee and matcha is really good. And, I really enjoy the Avocado Toast as well. The baristas are all really awesome Leo, Ben, Christian, Ash, Ashley, Justin, Ryan, Christine, Kevin, Dana, Lea and Hana and all the other Baristas all do a great job remembering your order and being very welcoming. And, their mission to charity is admirable.

Popped in today for the first time and the Cafe and its open space were very appealing.I saw people working on their laptops inside snd a group of women chatting at their outside table. We were greeted when we walked in and the Barista did a really good job at explaining and highlighting what drinks there offer. I ordered a matcha cherry blossom drink and it was nice My friend had a iced Cafe Miel , it was very nicely balanced We shared a ham And cheese baguette and they cut it in half for us. Overall very cute and definitely worth checking out

Feels like a promising place where they have a good variety of high quality beans. For the time I visited, my friend ordered a latte and I ordered a honey lavender latte. My drink was good where the coffee and sweetener was well balanced. It wasn't too bitter and not overly sweet. My friend's latte was unfortunately under extracted so it ended up more sour. We were in a rush so didn't get a chance to ask to remake the drink, but hoping it'll be better in the future.

The coffee and food options are here are solid. The latte I got was well-balanced. The food, likewise. In addition to that, the parking in ample, and it's a perfect place to get some work done.

I felt welcome as soon as I walked in. There were 4 baristas on this day. The gentleman taking orders was being trained and the woman making the drinks was being trained. Normally this would give me anxiety, but they made it fun. All 4 of them were so upbeat and friendly. When I received my latte (which they still serve in a mug yay) the barista had drawn a pegasus on top! So what if it's a little funky-looking, I love it. I loved the latte too.

Spent a Friday working from here and was pleasantly surprised! I got one of the seasonal drinks (Pumpkin Spice) and it was delicious. They offer free wifi for customers so I was able to spend the full day working and drinking coffee from a table in the cafe. There were others working, as well, with light music in the background, so it made for a good space to focus but also chat / take a quick call if needed.

After McDonalds, I decided to try this newer coffeeshop out. It's kind of hard to find and on the small side. Theres a large bench to sit outside but no tables and chairs outside. The interior is kind of small and awkward. I only got a juice drink and thought it was way overpriced at $9 when a comparable drink is only $5 at Starbucks. I may repeat visit to try a coffee but the place didn't do much for me and the hours are short.

What??? This place opened about 3 years ago and I haven't been around in a few years and I think I found my new Favorite place for Coffee but I don't come to the beach our here anymore and it is far away.... Anyhow I really did find my new favorite place for coffee now to make excuses to come out this far for a good cup of coffee.... I ordered a Pour Over Drip with what they called a true light roast...FYI they roast their own beans in Idyllwild which is quite the distance from this location. Basically it was the Ethiopia bag I took a pic of....It's actually hard to find a lot of coffee shops that do a light roast nowadays most go with a medium to light or medium to dark roast.... BEN is the one who did my pour over and I spoke to him a really cool guy who knew a good amount about the beans and coffee and what he enjoyed as well....overall he was quite knowledgeable and I feel he loves coffee! The layout is pretty spacious and clean i sat next to the baristas because they were somewhat busy when I got there....but it's okay.... I got one more pour over because I wanted to try their Medium/Light roast as well...Pronghorn...It was pretty good as well but still prefer the first one.... 5 Stars Coffee 5 Stars Employees 5 Stars Service 5 Stars Ambiance Equals AWESOME COFFEE Shop!!!!!!!

They had the cutest drink names ever! It was named after famous celebrities. My sister and I both got the Gwen Stefani, which has espresso, banana milk & organic chocolate sauce. It was pretty good! I do wish there was a stronger banana flavor, but it was still tasty. It also wasn't overly sweet which I appreciated. Workers were so nice and helpful. There were plenty of tables inside and seems like a great place to study or work. I def want to come back to try other drinks like their Lindsay Lohan matcha!

I told the barista it was my first time at Pure Bean and he took the time to walk through their most popular specials and make recommendations for me. The interior is spacious and bright and the drinks were delicious.

Let me first say that I'm incredibly picky about my morning Cappuccino. I came here bc it was so close to the hotel I was staying on a visit. In my short time in Hermosa Beach I came here twice. I highly highly recommend the pistachio Cappuccino. It is a healthy and flavorful drink to help start the day! And shout out to the very friendly staff and making solid recommendations. I'll have to suggest this drink at my local coffee shop I frequent in San Jose.

Underrated coffee spot in South Bay! I'm a simple coffee kinda gal - drip, iced, cold brew - black, maybe some cream. Pure Bean has a great brew - flavorful & I have never had a bad cup. Never bitter, never tastes like dirt or burnt. The staff is charming and helpful. The ambiance is calm but warm - tons of seating and places to work or study. I come here when I'm too lazy to make my own or when I want to treat myself.

1/2/24 I frequent this spot. My go to is their Cafe Miél - it's amazing. Drinks- they have exceptional drinks in flavor and variety. FOOD MENU- until I went there I didn't know they had an actual food menu with breakfast burritos, and more. They do. And it's good. The staff- phenomenal: good spirited, customer oriented, competent, interested in creating a good experience for you Location- good. Always convenient parking Inside- clean single-stall gender-neutral restroom, ample seating (padded and non), outlets, indoor and outdoor space to visit and work/study. Tables and bar-style table seating. Good vibes. Music is good, not too loud. Wi-Fi- Yes, and it's solid. They also update their hours regularly and responsibly. I highly recommend this spot.

this is my FAVORITE coffee shop in Manhattan Beach, one of the best in LA! The baristas are the sweetest and it's a cozy and spacious cafe with lots of seating (but busy!) The coffee is roasted perfectly to my liking - the drip coffee was soothing, not bitter or sour. Cardigan latte is delightful - hints of cardamom, vanilla and the addition of sea salt is perfection! Also the latte art of the bear was a sweet surprise. Their specialty drinks are unique and unlike any other drinks from coffee shops! Pastries looked all so decadent and delish ; the olive oil cake was not dry/overly sweet and paired sooo well with my cozy latte.

Want good amazing and superb coffee?! Come here! Want strong cold brew that is not bitter?! Come here! Want amazing service from staff!? Then yes come here! Want a place to sit and enjoy your coffee!! Then yes also come here! I ordered the cold brew and the vanilla latte which were great! I like my coffee strong and not too sweet and it was on point! I will definitely be back to try other drinks on the menu such as the Gwen Stefani which called my attention. I also want to try some of their pastries but if you get there later in the day, they will be out of them. Tip: There is plenty of parking at this location except it can get a little busy or difficult to get out of the area because there is a busy GOODWILL store next door which has heavy traffic at all times of the day!

Just discovered Pure Bean and I will definitely be coming back. Ordered the white tea and it was delicious. Surprisingly had a subtle hint of sweetness for a drink that was only tea, and nice floral quality to it. Staff were all nice, friendly and welcoming. My favorite part though is definitely the ability to use Pure Bean as a remote working space. They have ample electrical plugs for you to use, they also have soft comfortable seating, and there is plenty of space inside the shop. The cafe is also inside a plaza with tons of parking.

Tried one of their signature drinks (Cardigan) and it did not disappoint! Very rich in flavor and not too sweet. Definitely will get it again. This place is pretty spacious and has lots of seatings available. Service was pretty fast and the baristas were also nice! Bummer that their WiFi wasn't working at the time, but management is working on getting it fix as soon as possible. Overall, a nice place to hang out, study, do work, and/or just to grab a coffee! They also have food available such as pastries, yogurts/parfaits, and burritos!

This place was recommended to me, so when I was in the area, I decided to give it a try. I don't know if I went on an off day, but my drink was not good. I ordered the vanilla sky and it had no vanilla flavor and it was extremely bitter. I never want to be wasteful but it was so bad, I ended up throwing it away because it was that awful. There were a lot of people; perhaps they rushed it. Even so, no excuse. I'll maybe give it another try if I'm in the area, but first impression... the drink definitely wasn't good. On a positive note... The cashier was great! Super friendly. : )

Drinks are very creative. they have seasonal drinks named after pop culture references. I got the gwen stefani with espresso, banana milk and chocolate. Employee was kind and patient and supported my processing of their overwhelmingly diverse menu. Lots of space to study and spaced out enough where you don't feel too close to anyone. expect to pay a lot though... look at where you're located

Highly enjoyable. If you're the type of coffee snob that knows it makes a difference in ordering in store via a wide lipped ceramic mug as opposed to a To Go paper cup, then THIS is the spot for you. Great coffee quality, amazing creamy hot steamed milk, good variety and comfy lounge and study spots. Coffee: * Lavender latte with espresso & Oatmilk (~$7.50) - delightfully impressed with this option. one of my favorite Lavender + espresso latte. Lavender is subtle and well blended. Oatmilk was still very creamy. Putting it In a togo paper cup caused the milk to separate and made the hot steamed milk lose its layer and texture. Must drink it in the store!! Thankfully not too sweet. Would get this again. Next time I wouldn't mind getting 75% or 50% sweetness even though it was perfect just the way it was. * cappuccino (~$5) - despite not "looking" like a good cap and despite the milk looking more foamy than creamy, this cap still had amazing layers and creamy textures. Coffee was well balanced and had a smooth gorgeous bitter and no sour note to it. A more mild and well blended instead of bold espresso. Pouring it into a paper to go cup made it just taste like any ol average cap. Ambiance: * music wasn't too loud * huge parking lot * quite a few tables for study spots, high tops for side by side seating and comfy sink in leather chairs. Service * was a bit slow. When we checked in, there was no line but there were 10 tickets before us so our coffee took 30 min for it to come out. There were 2 friendly staff members working today

It's been a while since I've come across a coffee shop that excites me Pure Bean has a huge menu of unique drink options and a lovely staff to help you navigate and customize it. I ordered the Hepburn which is typically cold brew with a dash of heavy cream and vanilla, but being pregnant and wanting less caffeine they made it for me with 1/2 caff iced americano and it is by far one of the best drinks I've had in a while! Also love that their beans are clean sourced. The space is conducive for sitting and working - lots of chairs and plenty of outlets for your computer. I haven't tried the food yet but their breakfast burritos and sandwiches are delivered fresh daily from The Rooster, so it sounds like legit food! Highly recommend this place.

Great overall experience at Pure Bean. They have some minor areas they can improve to make it a full 5 star. I've stumbled upon a true gem in the South Bay Area--Pure Bean. This delightful establishment has become my sanctuary for heavenly coffee. Their signature coffee drinks are a revelation, striking the perfect balance between added flavors and the rich coffee itself. Each sip is a harmonious symphony of taste. I think I've ordered everything on their signature menu and have yet to try their summer menu. Beyond the exceptional coffee, the staff are friendly. The atmosphere inside is both spacious and cute. Also, popular morning hang outs for police, lol. When I'm stuck in traffic on my way to the office, Pure Bean is my saving grace. Knowing I can enjoy a truly fantastic cup of coffee during traffic makes the journey more bearable. It has become my oasis amidst the chaos of the road. Would definitely continue to come back and try their other drinks and buy their bag of beans!

7/10. I ordered the cardigan and it was okay, the cardamom was a little overpowering which was a let down for the price you pay. The wait was also a tad long, but their customer service was great. Sweet Staff. I would still go again bc they had a big menu that sounds good!

I found this place by searching for coffee shops in MB. I'm not in the area often, so I wasn't familiar with the different establishments offered here. I'm glad I came across Pure Bean. I called ahead to see if they had any open seats. The person that answered the phone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Once you walk in, you will be greeted by whoever is working. I noticed that not one person wasn't greeted while I was sitting here over the course of 3 hours. I ordered the Cardigan with oat milk. The other Yelp reviews highlighting the coffee and beans are truly spot on. Coffee was delicious and my drink wasn't too sweet. It's very clean and modern inside. Plenty of seating to get work done or visit with friends. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area. Free shared parking in the lot that is convenient and easy.

Can't beat their coffee & pastries! The seasonal specials are all incredible. Highly recommend the brown sugar bourbon! It's just the perfect amount of sweet. Employees are always joyful & willing to make recommendations.

I've heard good things about Pure Bean, so I decided to head over to check it out on my way to work. I ordered a Cardigan latte and an olive oil cake to-go. It was busy when I went, but the baristas were quick and friendly and I got my order within 10 min. The Cardigan was divine: it's cardamom-fronted, and its blend of milk and spices were smooth and comforting-- I'd 100% get it again. The olive oil cake was delicious, too: moist, slightly crusty, and not too sweet. While I didn't dine in this time around, I'd love to return for a proper brunch. The place is spacious with plenty of natural lighting, offering a bright and welcoming environment. I'll be back!

Cool vibes and the coffee was okay. The flavor was off a little.. not sure if it was from the oat milk or vanilla. Baristas were friendly and were serving everyone in a timely manner!

Omg let's talk about it! Love. After one visit and super upset I love too damn far away from this cute little place. Ugh!!! The best damn latte I've ever put in my mouth. Like, who invented these crazy concoctions?! And the coffee was smooth and kept me UP FOR HOURS (which it was supposed to do). Powerful punch with great taste. My croissant was good too. All nice and crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. I did some work in here for about three hours. Plenty of power outlets, clean, fair amount of seating. Stat was super nice and worked quickly. Free shared parking lot with plenty of spaces. Paid street parking available as well. I love and appreciate a good cafe.

Loved it here! So spacious, lots of charging ports and seating area which was perfect for me as I work remotely! Service was great, the people were so nice and welcoming. Had a cookie and it was literally so chocately - the best!

It's one of my favorite coffee spots in LA! I love their honey lavender latte! It's delicious! The service is incredible, they are always super friendly, and greet you. There is plenty of seating, this place does get super busy!! It's clean inside, and a good vibe. I have tried other lattes as well but I keep coming back for honey lavender!

Our new favorite coffee spot in the South Bay. They've got great service, a wonderful space and the drinks are unique. My wife loves their strawberry matcha with almond milk and I'm a fan of just about any espresso drink they make.

This place is unlike any other cafe in the South Bay. I have lived here my entire life, but it took moving to Irvine for school to make me realize how much we lack cafes with good work spaces. This place has plentiful seating and parking, wifi, and great drinks. I spent 4 hours studying here on my first visit and intend to come most days during my winter break while I study for my DAT. I remember seeing this place go under construction thinking there is no way it would last because everything goes out of business hidden in the back of the complex. I highly recommend this place for students or anyone who works from home. The ambiance is warm even on a winter rainy day and is truly a hidden gem!

One of the things I love about South Bay is all the great coffee shops. We have another winner in Pure Bean, the latest addition to the Manhattan/Hermosa area. Located in what I believe was a former Coffee Bean, we definitely received an upgrade. I have now gone several times, tried multiple items and brought others to try it out... so needless to say, if you are bringing others to the shop, you love it and I do. Let me break it down - Atmosphere 5* - a nice patio, dog friendly outside, clean interior, a community table you can stand at and chat. Plenty of seats with tables to work at, or better, just to chat and enjoy your coffee. Best of all, it's always clean. Service 5* - I've been there enough I've met the owner Fritz who seems to be a really nice guy, new dad and involved with the shop. Some owners are "stay at home" owners, but he has been in the shop each time I've stopped by. The staff are all friendly, share their favorites and can help you find the right cup for you. But what really counts - the COFFEE 5* - the star of the show at Pure Bean is the beans... they have unique coffee options that keep the focus on the coffee... nothing too sweet... just frosting the tips.... I've enjoyed drink I've tried, but my favorite is the Cardigan. It has cardamon in it and it is so good, I'm hooked... I also tried the Afterburner, a blended expresso and protein drink that spoke to my inner refined gym bro... but again, the star is the coffee, I've had the expresso and drip and both are great. Looking forward to my next visit. 2 other notes... I've taken a few people to visit and they all have loved the coffee... one was from Paris and Pure Bean was our first stop... after trying 3 or 4 other shops, he wanted to make sure we went back to Pure Bean before he flew home, as it was his favorite... I would be remiss if I did not point out something I think can be improved, even 5 stars doesn't mean it's perfect... I'm not a big fan of the pastries... they tasted too commercial to me. Luckily that's not why I go, but I felt compelled to share.

It was my first time visiting the coffee place and I walked in no one welcomed me so I went to order my drink and then waited over 10 min to get my drink the the three Barristas were joking around very loudly didn't care getting the drink on time . I was very disappointed. I was in rush . I got my drink and I asked for large I got small drink. They didn't pay attention to the order. I hope this doesn't happened again.

Happen to be running errands on Sunday after church and remembered hearing about this place. Glad it was open as I needed my morning coffee. The treats looked good. Maybe next time. I ordered the dark roast of the day, Golden Bear, a medley of several flavors. Service was friendly and fast. The place is very clean. May be a good work space. Parking in the small lot. Will be back!

I found this coffee shop almost by accident while grocery shopping across the street. There is an easy to miss sign and the shop itself is pushed back from the street in a shopping center. But I'm so happy I did!! Since they are a roaster I expected good coffee and was not disappointed :) I had a Flat White, my Mom had a Latte and we both enjoyed them. We also had some goodies, banana nut muffin & chocolate chip cookie, that were tasty and went well with the coffee. I do plan on picking up some beans next time. The shop is spacious with plenty of seating inside & some outsider, a large bar & places to work (w/ outlets). The decor is minimal and the lighting is moderate, plenty bright enough to work but soft enough the be relaxing. I enjoyed the vibe of this place, it's very comfortable. Baristas are very friendly and made great drinks. There is ample parking in the shared lot and they are open till 5pm which is pretty late for the Southbay LOL

Yes, I recommend this business. Very nice. They take their time in creating that special custom drink to order. I had a latte. My cup started out filled with hot water as an initial warmer. After the espresso was ready, the barista emptied the cup; poured the espresso; and poured the steamed milk. The establishment is sleek and clean, not cluttered. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Free Wi-Fi. It's a great place to just relax with a latte. Parking: Plenty of free, shared strip mall parking.

Pure Bean Is a fun new coffee location that's recently opened up in Manhattan Beach. They have a nice selection of the various coffee drinks, the kind that you would expect, all made to order.They also have a few bakery items to snack on while you're enjoying your coffee orientated drink. The interior space of this business is very inviting. It is open and airy and the tables are nicely spaced apart. Plus, they have counter space where you can sit, work in your computer, and stuff like that. In terms of enjoying your drinks outdoors, they have very nice bench style seating along with some chairs to compliment the small tables where you can rest your drinks. They have a very interesting process of creating your drinks at this location. What the barista does is to first fill the cup with warm water. They then empty the water before they actually create your drink within the mug. Of course, you get a nice design on the top of your latte, which is always fun to see what you get. Overall, the pride they take in creating their drinks creation is very thoughtful and unique. They're located right on the corner of Pacific Coast Highway/Sepulveda Boulevard and Artesia. So it is very easy to get to. In terms of parking, this coffeehouse is in a strip mall style location so there is plenty of parking. Overall, fun place to sit back and enjoy a latte or to grab one on the go.

This is by far the best coffee shop in the South Bay. I would say in all of LA. I have gone to Long Beach, Hollywood and so many other coffee shops and nothing compares to Pure Bean. I love the friendly customer service from everyone but Kevin is my favorite. He's always so kind and friendly. The pastries and food are delicious, I highly recommend.

The baristas are very kind and the atmosphere is happy, good vibes all around. There is free wifi and outlets along the walls by the tables. There is a good amount of seating. There is also a center bar, but it does not have any outlets. It's a great place to study or get some work done. There is a parking lot outside and it is relatively easy to find parking. I got the cold brew kicker and it has the perfect balance of coffee. Overall definitely worth a visit.

Decided to try out a new coffee place and I could not be more disappointed with customer service and quality of the drinks. Service was slow. The cafe wasn't even busy. No one was greeting or have a smile. I ordered a cappuccino and chai latte. The chai latte was watered down. Cappuccino was sour!! Probably the worst chai latte and cappuccino I've had. Sad to say this is the first and last time I'll be coming here. Although the positive is the cafe is nice, clean and spacious.
