The Best Places to Eat and Drink in Summit County, Colorado, Breckenridge | Eater Denver

"Fans of True Food Kitchen in Cherry Creek (and beyond) will also find a friend in Pure Kitchen. Clean ingredients, many of which are organic, make up a menu that ranges from superfood salads and tempeh Reubens to forbidden rice noodle bowls. Here’s a hint: Add gin to the Green Machine juice for an almost-good-for-you cocktail." - Amanda Faison

Google
Fantastic vegan options. This was place was a godsend on our trip across Colorado. The salad was unique, large, and very flavorful. Can’t recommend it enough.

Google
This restaurant is pure gold! Great atmosphere with even better service. Nice bar area with decent amount of seating blended with the restaurant. Service outstanding and the food tastes awesome - most of it is either gluten free or vegan, but you wouldn’t know eating it. From drinks to appetizers to desserts, everything is perfectly done!

Google
Fancy looking restaurant with affordable prices with good quality. Thanks to their amazing people Kim and Joe for the great service! We tried their mozzarella sticks and mushroom burger and it did not disappoint my cravings!

Google
Disappointing Experience Despite High Hopes I was really excited to try this restaurant with my family—but unfortunately, the experience fell flat. When you hear "Korean" in a dish, you expect bold, flavorful, and maybe even spicy food. That wasn’t the case with the Korean Zoodle Bowl. The flavors were bland and underwhelming. My son’s burger and my wife’s Brussels sprouts with sauce were also a letdown—neither dish met their expectations. Like mine, their meals lacked the flavor and quality we had hoped for. What made it worse was the service. I considered sending my dish back, but the front-of-house staff seemed so indifferent that I didn’t feel comfortable speaking up. They were more focused on chatting with each other than attending to basic guest needs. For example, my iced tea sat empty the entire meal—no one offered a refill or even checked in. To me, attentive drink service—alcoholic or not—is a basic expectation for a sit-down dinner. Feeling ignored set the tone, and we all ended up just tolerating the mediocre food. For a $100 meal for three in a beautiful location with mountain views, I expected so much more. Sadly, both the food and the service were as flat as the flavors.

Google
We have been here many times, but this time deserves a review. The food is always ok- not amazing, but basically healthy and fresh. The drinks are reliable- good cocktails. The service was again disappointing. There was also a long black hair in my food, which I discovered halfway through eating it. Whatever, I get it- this happens. I might have made a light hearted joke about it to our server, but she never came back to check on us. I laid some cash down and left after waiting 20 minutes.

Google
Some of the best food we've eaten in a while! We started off with the Spring Roll, which was simple but so fresh and absolutely delicious, then went on to savor the Mushroom Swiss Burger and Super Food Salad with Wild Caught Salmon. We could not fault our meals in any way possible and cannot wait to return to sample many more of their immaculate dishes. Prices are certainly steeper than usual, but boy do you get what you pay for in this case. Superb!

Google
Such a good spot. When we sat down, the hostess immediately gave us recommendations and was so friendly. The atmosphere, food, everything was spot on. We definitely will return again!

Google
We just had higher expectations of the place. I had the brussel sprouts and my wife had an Asian noodle bowl with chicken. Just not the best. Full bar and good menu.

Yelp
There are a lot of good things about this restaurant. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating in a beautiful environment. The menu has tons of delicious-looking, healthy options. And if you're gluten-free, you must come here! It will take you 10 mins to figure out what to order. After much deliberation, I decided on the vegetarian burger. It had lots of yummy-looking toppings. It was quite tasty, in and of itself. It came with home made potato chips--who doesn't love homemade potato chips?! The burger's flavors weren't quite right. There was a raspberry balsamic (I think) that was too tangy and not right for the ingredients. Maybe something different. The potato chips were fine, but was there salt on them? I don't know. Service was a bit slow, but friendly. I think they had a rush right when we walked in. I'd come back if I lived here, but I think they need to work on some of the flavor profiles. (My friend got the Brussels sprouts and said they needed to fix the chipotle mango dip too.)

Yelp
-2 stars from my previous review. They made too many mistakes. -- First we waited quite a while to be seated. We had a reservation and the restaurant didn't look too busy. There was a party of 6 who arrived before us that didn't have a reservation that definitely accounted for part of it. However, it was at least 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged any of us. -- Our server Matthew seemed overwhelmed from the start. -- Most of the beers on the menu were not available. -- we were served the wrong appetizer, they appropriately corrected and allowed us to keep the mistake. -- $20 burgers should be cooked as ordered. Medium order was well done. -- Ketchup is a standard condiment, but wasn't initially presented. When we asked, it took forever to arrive and my burger got cold waiting. -- the house salad at an up charge over chips was a handful of spring mix, and shriveled dry grated carrots. I'm hoping that this was simply an off night, but there's quite a lot of room for improvement!

Yelp
We had a delightful dinner at Pure Kitchen! Shout out to our incredible server, Mariah, for accommodating our large group (11 people). I could see how this place would be a big hit with vegans and those with food allergies--lots of friendly options on the menu. All the food was great. We started with the gluten-free mozzarella sticks (made with homemade mozzarella!!) and the Portobello bites. Both were great but the mozzarella sticks are a MUST. For dinner, I ordered the grass-fed carne asada and it was delicious and a generous portion. I can't remember what everyone else ordered, but all enjoyed their meals. The cocktails were good but not anything to write home about. The vibe of the restaurant was nice, with soft lighting and light plants throughout.

Yelp
I ordered the superfood salad with miso glazed mushrooms. The combination of flavors was fantastic! Unfortunately, the freshness of the lettuce was lacking. I ate through the majority of it. Most of the leaves were wilted or past their prime, especially for $20. Otherwise it was a nice experience. Hopefully, they can make sure future salads are fresher.

Yelp
The food here is nothing I have ever had before. I love it! I have celiac & this restaurant is amazing for people who need gluten free food. The gluten free mozzarella sticks & chicken parm is heavenly. The drinks are delicious. The atmosphere is elegant and comfortable. The bartop is really great to sit at. The service has always been quick & friendly both times I am have been! Highly recommend this spot in Frisco!

Robert C.

Yelp
Food was great. Service was good. Host and seating was not good. With a Lind out the door they seemed to prioritize phone calls over live people who had reservations waiting in a long line.
google avatar

Yelp
We tried 3 dishes and all were delicious and so fresh. The carrot curry soup with coconut was the soup of the day and was amazing! Bahn mi had lots of flavor and the quinoa salad side was great. Spinach salad with goat cheese also yummy. And the service was superb. Loved the overall feel of the place, will make it a regular stop. Great ambiance and food are a winning combo!

Yelp
Ambiance 5 Service 5 Gluten Free Options 5. Would give it a 10 if I could but Yelp only goes to 5. GF mozzarella sticks was delicious GF portobello fries was awesome Grass Fed Carne Asada was perfectly cooked med rare which most cooks over cook strip steak since it's so thin The Carne Asada Tacos were fantastic! And man the GF cheesecake was to die for

Yelp
I definitely do not recommend coming here, and it's not "pure" food at all, although they pride themselves of "checking all the boxes." Besides hummus, the 2 main dishes we ordered all had wayyyyyyy toooo much sugar in them. The Korean zoodle bowl is a pure disaster for sure. That weird, thick gooey sauce is definitely not Korean. In addition, it had so much sugar!!!! I didn't feel good after eating it! Also, they should take roasted buffalo cauliflower off the menu until they learn how to properly prepare for it because covering cauliflowers with thick batter is not "roasted." When it was brought to us, it was lukewarm!!! *sign** Consider yourself warned!

Yelp
Food excellent! Drinks fun! Ambiance lively and bright. Service impeccable. Sat at the bar Martin was great and the entire staff friendly and helpful

Yelp
Had high expectations and was looking for something healthy after spending 15 hours on the road coming from Nevada. Placed an online order for a strawberry harmony salad and some sort of bowl. Drove 15 minutes from the hotel, picked up order and got back to the hotel to find no dressing for the salad. Places a call to restaurant and was only asked if I'd like to return to pick up the dressing that was forgot. Needless to say, salad went in the trash. Won't be returning.

Jorge M.

Yelp
Food is mediocre, the drinks are meh, and the service always seems distracted. Wish it was better. Ill give it another chance sometime, but not running back.

Yelp
Was in town and many locals told me about this place, so I had to check it out. My boyfriend got the Pure Thai and I got the chicken little delight. Both were very fresh and delicious.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Matthew our server was very friendly, accommodating and attentive. Spring rolls and Southwest Bowl were phenomenal. Like the ambiance and customer service

Yelp
We had a really great date night at Pure Kitchen on a trip to the mountains! We were seated on the patio, which was really beautiful on the summer evening we were there. There was a nice selection of locally-brewed beers as well as lots of specialty cocktails. The food we got was absolutely delicious. My partner and I both got a Bowl: I got the Summit Stir Fry bowl with grilled chicken, and my partner got the Korean Zoodle Bowl with salmon. They were both outstanding and big enough portions that we had leftovers. We also got the buffalo cauliflower appetizer, which was delicious. Would highly recommend this spot for families or date night! Super fresh and yummy meal. One additional note: There are tons of options for every possible dietary need, such as vegetarian, vegan, GF, dairy free, etc.

Yelp
I had to come back before I left back to Denver and I had to get the sweet potato lasagna again . Service was consistent from the first time which was fast and efficient. The ambiance is new and modern . This time they were offering free small water plants . super cute ! This place over all is amazing . Date night , dinner with family or even sit at the bar and enjoy a drink . Going to miss this place I

Yelp
*CELIAC / GLUTEN FREE REVIEW delicious and so many options! I got the pure thai bowl and mozzarella sticks (weird combo I know but I had to try them both!). Everything was great and I had no reaction, plenty to choose from. separate fryer / prep space for gluten free items.

Yelp
If only all road trips featured yummy healthy restaurants like this right off the highway! I had a "half" sandwich - avocado, lettuce, & tomato on toasted (whole grain?) bread - with a baby kale salad. Ooops, it came with a full sandwich. It was delish, healthy, and - well - that's about enough for a road trip lunch. The service was great and our server was friendly. Spouse had a chicken banh mi with house made potato chips. The chips were yummy; spouse said the chicken wasn't really banh mi, but it was a very good chicken sandwich. Two very tired thumbs up!

Yelp
Overall- awesome food, drinks, ambiance, and service. We popped in for lunch while visiting from out of town. We had the lamb burger with a kale salad and stir fry bowl with salmon. Both were balanced and delicious. We loved that a kale salad was one of the regular options for a side for the lamb burger and the homemade chips on the lamb burger added a delicious and unique crunch to the dish. I enjoyed the Lola and Zuko drinks. Both were fun and complex and not too sweet. Our server was kind and attentive.
google avatar

Wedge A.

Yelp
They make a great attempt to cater to all the "dietary restrictions" people, but miss the mark on demonstrating their commitment to environmental sustainability, health, and ethical agriculture.
google avatar

Nichole P.

Yelp
What a find! Fresh, healthy food that tastes delicious. Definitely the best lunch stop on our roadtrip!
google avatar

Jose A.

Yelp
We were a group of 8 and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Prices are high but so is the quality of the ingredients - grass-fed wagyu beef for the carne asada for example. Not for people looking for a quick cheap eat, but if you're a "Whole Foods" type you should enjoy it, particularly relative to the understandably limited food options in mountain towns. Server was very friendly as well.

Yelp
My mom and I went here for my birthday. Neither of us were impressed. I ordered the salad with strawberries and goat cheese. I was disappointed as there were only three very small balls of breaded goat cheese. I also added chicken to the salad, which was not served with the salad. It came late, my mom ordered the veggie burger, which was supposedly made in house. It was the driest veggie burger possible, and the chips tasted like cardboard. No one ever came to refill our waters. After our meal, we used the restroom. The paper towels were not in the paper towel holder, and there was no soap. I mentioned the bathrooms and the lack of water refills because these are easy things the restaurant could do to elevate itself. Aesthetically the restaurant is nice, the staff was pleasant. The restaurant has potential. The quality of the food and the prices are not adding up....

Yelp
I have been here twice now and Pure Kitchen never disappoints. There are so many options here for all preferences and diets, and all healthy and delicious. Many vegan options too!! I have had their vegan bowls before and this time tried the super food salad, made vegan. It was so delicious! Buffalo cauliflower is pretty spicy, but good. Dont miss out on their cocktails-the strawberry rhubarb margarita was awesome. It's also a really great ambience, casual but really cute. I know I'll be back on my next visit!
google avatar

Cindy C.

Yelp
So happy we swing by here for lunch. The spring rolls and bowls were so good! We sat on the patio with a nice view of the mountains dogs also allowed on the patio which was another big win. Can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Marc M.

Yelp
The service was above and beyond and the food was incredible. Some of the best vegan dishes I've had.

Yelp
I live a short walk from this place and really want to like it here. Last January I decided to take a long break after my Foundation tried to have a celebration dinner here, unfortunately our server was rude and walked out of her shift. Nobody stepped to help except an off duty staff member. We were there for 3 1/2 hours while they tried to figure out the bill. Yesterday I went back and ordered a simple hummus appetizer that never made it to our table until an hour later. He blamed the kitchen for placing it in the fridge. It was frozen and awful. We then watched him leave the restaurant and never came back. This place has solid food but a long history of RUDE staff members that drink on the job and terrible service. The only reason why I am giving it two stars are the cocktails and patio.

Lauren N.

Yelp
First time here and we LOVED it. Great service and beautiful setting, but ultimately the incredible food was the big winner. Started with mozzarella sticks (had to order a second round they were so good). Can't recommend the lamb burger enough for entree- absolute to die for! Can't wait to return
google avatar

Raymond J.

Yelp
Kinda Asian flare. We sat outside it was super windy and in the sun, so it made for an interesting meal. Good service, good food. Of the 4 of my crew, everyone loved their meal. Pizza, bowls, sandwiches, desserts, beer, wine, whiskey, Tequlia/Mezca, they have a wide variety. Good place in Frisco

Souvir B.

Yelp
The menu , the location and the service seems to get good. Everything else is below par. We ordered three items: 1. Cauliflower wings (good nothing extraordinary, basically dip them in buffalo sauce) 2. Stir fry bowl with steak (below par) .. 3-4 pieces of steak and stir fry was just everything thrown in there with a lot of sweet sauce 3. Vegan burger (way below par) gluten free bread even worse . Never going to come here again

Rick L.

Yelp
Great location, Excellent service, amazing food. Cannot beat the views and this restaurant is immaculately decorated. We made reservations, highly recommended. But the food was impeccably prepared. My wife had the skirt steak with refried beans, fajitas, white rice and I had the Thai bowl with salmon. Perfectly prepared. mixed drink prices(Old fashioned and Manhattan) were average but wine was overpriced so we skipped that! Overall excellent food, service, location.

John Kessel

Yelp
Great food and indoor setting Menu from start to finish excellent Easy to get to from I70

Elyse G.

Yelp
Outstanding food, flavors and quality! A bit pricey for the quantity. We both had salads with chicken. The price of the salad should have included protein
google avatar

Fiona H.

Yelp
Food was dry and little to no flavor. Our friends were unable to eat one of their recommended flat breads due to too much buffalo sauce. The quinoa and black been burger was dry - didn't hold together when you cut it and tasteless. Shame because the service was good.
google avatar

James M.

Yelp
The food was fresh, delicious, and exactly what we were looking for on a rainy night. Service was fantastic. The ambience was light and refreshing, just like the food. So many great local, seasonable dishes. We had the Thyme for a Change flatbread. It's a rotating flatbread based on what's fresh. It was a great start to our meal! We had a variety of entrees and they were all amazing. Definitely worth visiting if you're in or near Frisco!
google avatar

Optimus R.

Yelp
The dictionary defines Pure as without any extraneous and unnecessary elements. I have a love hate relationship with this place. Certain things are here were so good but they had to mess with perfection and take away the lamb burger. The Brussels sprouts - equally a formerly like dish is now not as crunchy and is served with some orange type sauce. The food is still good albeit smaller and more pricey portions but I get it, it's 2024. Overall a good restaurant that serves quality dishes with good service.
google avatar

Dallas E.

Yelp
Amazing. Wife is celiac and she has so many great options here. I'd probably recommend the stir fry bowl over everything. Thai bowl is #2
google avatar

Yelp
Came into Frisco for a girls trip. Looking for vegan/gluten free food can be challenging no matter where i might go. Though some areas are more friendly than others to these dietary needs. I found Pure Kitchen through both a google and yelp search. Looked over their menu and decided that I wanted to go visit here for our meal out. Positives : -menu is clearly labeled for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free (this always gets bonus points in my book) -there were several choices for those with special dietary needs -though the restaurant is not overly large they make great use of their space. Plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor -modern looking and clean -Staff was friendly -Food was tasty and flavorful Negatives : -really only one. Prices are a little higher end. But aside from that everything was great! Would come back in the future if I was in the area.
google avatar

B B.

Yelp
Service was slow. Soda was completely flat. Flies were annoying. Prices were high. Benches were about four inches lower than the chairs at the same tables, very lazy design.
google avatar

Michiko L.

Yelp
Great food and friendly staff. I ate here twice. Pure Bliss salad was fresh and good for a light lunch. Came back for dinner and had the Thai noodles and my husband had the salmon burger. Both were very good. Nice finish with a loose leave green tea. I don't think you can go wrong with a farm to table restaurant.

Sami M.

Yelp
My sister and brother in law were lucky enough to come upon this gem of a restaurant! The food was divine! Fresh and flavorful ingredients! Waite was attentive, helpful and friendly. He gave awesome recommendations when asked. Easy access and beautiful landscape. You won't regret stopping and feasting here!!

Jeremiah M.

Yelp
Very tasty and wide variety menu. Good gluten free options if needed. Service is always great. We are repeat customers.
google avatar

Yelp
Walking into the garden of Eve you will see two naked people and the absolute best food you have ever had. I could have ordered everything on the menu and been satisfied. Between the three of us I had the stir fry, lamb burger and gnocchi. All of which were fantastic. Two of which came with a kale salad to die for. This place was incredibly designed and very beautiful. Comfortable indoor and outdoor seating with waiters at our service. Please visit this restaurant on your way through frísco. You will not be disappointed. Oh we also had Brussels sprouts.
google avatar

Mary L.

Yelp
Amazing food! Had the lamb burger, which was delicious; Would definitely order again. Service was a bit slow, but food made up for it. Will most definitely be back
google avatar

Ashley A.

Yelp
Great food, and for the approach they use of being more ethically sourced and using clean ingredients, a great price point. The bartender, Matt, was awesome as well. Fresh handpressed ginger and lemon? Yes please. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

Barbara H.

Yelp
While on vacation in the Frisco area, we stumbled across this lovely restaurant. One in our party is vegetarian, and the other is celiac/gluten free. It is good to find a gluten free restaurant in the mountains. We ate at Pure Kitchen a total of three times this past week. Our first two nights were fine: excellent food and service. On night #3, we had the asparagus soup, the spring rolls and the stir fry. Within minutes of eating the soup, my stomach was churning. At the end of the meal, I spent 15 minutes in the bathroom in gastric distress. Later in the evening, both my husband and I spent most of the night in great distress. Even the next day, he is sick as a dog. Was this food poisoning? Who knows. We called the restaurant and they took no responsibility for the possibility of food poisoning. "Our cooks would've sampled the food, and they are all fine". Since we did not eat out anywhere else the night (or day) we got so ill, we can only assume that what we were served at Pure Kitchen caused us to be so sick. I would hope that Pure Kitchen would WANT to know if their customers got ill, and do something to ensure that it doesn't happen again. Sorry but we won't be eating there again any time soon. Please check your ingredients and the cleanliness of your kitchen, Pure Kitchen!
google avatar

Kristina B.

Yelp
We've had everything from carry-out to cocktails, lunch to dinner. Food is always excellent quality, we usually go for a burger and the kids go for one of the bowls. I love their soups. One time they left it out of our carry out order and when I called they refunded us. Great service, creative cocktails and excellent food. This is our go-to spot when in sun it.
google avatar

Susan B.

Yelp
The food is delicious! The service however is horrible. Our experience began with the manager, Kimberly being incredibly rude about seating. After a very long wait a server came to take our order and then disappeared for an amount of time that made us wonder if he had abandoned his shift. Beyond that each item was served randomly and slower than normal. After stumbling through the slowest dinner ever the manager came to ask if all was ok. When we voiced our concerns she basically shrugged and walked off. Really disappointing since the food is always good. We visited once two weeks ago and the entire staff seemed to be in outer space. Several food items were forgotten and the waiter wouldn't stop talking. We tried again because the food was great but after our experience tonight with the manager I've lost hope.
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
We absolutely love this place! The food is incredible! So many gluten free options and everything was fresh while also tasting delicious. We will be back!
