The Best Places to Eat and Drink in Summit County, Colorado, Breckenridge | Eater Denver

"Fans of True Food Kitchen in Cherry Creek (and beyond) will also find a friend in Pure Kitchen. Clean ingredients, many of which are organic, make up a menu that ranges from superfood salads and tempeh Reubens to forbidden rice noodle bowls. Here’s a hint: Add gin to the Green Machine juice for an almost-good-for-you cocktail." - Amanda Faison

We were seated quickly and were able to order relatively quickly as well. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and two burgers, one with their gluten free bun. The mozzarella sticks were great; they were crispy and flavorful, but my only gripe was the garnish looking a little silly. The burgers and chips were also good. The gluten free bun lost its integrity after just a couple minutes. We probably should have checked out reviews and menu prices before visiting; we were a bit shocked at the cost of a 2 person lunch with waters and a shared appetizer, and there’s a standard 4% fee added on to every ticket. Good to know that this place has so many GF, vegan, and vegetarian options, just a bit too pricey for our Nebraska blood.

We had an awesome experience at Pure Kitchen! Eve was incredible — super friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely on point — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. You can tell there’s real pride behind both the service and the kitchen. Definitely one of the best spots in Frisco — we’ll be back for sure! PS best Bloody Mary in town

Google
Love this spot, such a great food and cozy... best cuisine I've had anywhere in the area. Billy is a great manager and bartender. Eve the bartender is great, same with Sarah and the regulars are cool too! Jen is a really cool regular.

Amazed by my perfectly made pizza. I ordered the soup of the day and the fig and prosciutto pizza. Staff is awesome and super clean place. Recommend this place

Google
Everything about this place is amazing. All ingredients were fresh. Food cooked to perfection. Mountain views surround the place, great decor. So surprised this place doesn’t have more locations. One of the best restaurants I’ve been too and love the fact that they really care about the ingredients and making things fresh everyday.

Google
Wonderful place with good service, healthy and delicious food and a calm decor. They have whole-food based vegan options and options that can be made vegan!

Google
Fancy looking restaurant with affordable prices with good quality. Thanks to their amazing people Kim and Joe for the great service! We tried their mozzarella sticks and mushroom burger and it did not disappoint my cravings!

Yelp
If you're looking for food that's both delicious and good for you, this is the place. We started with a turmeric ginger lemonade and shared the chicken Parmesan and the lamb burger, both were so good I had to come back the very next day for lunch. I ordered the Pure Bliss salad with their top-tier chicken and swapped the balsamic for the house-made pomegranate dressing. Everything I tried was fresh, flavorful, and super filling. Del was an amazing server with spot-on recommendations and made the whole experience even better. You can really feel the owner's commitment to great food and a fresh, welcoming vibe. It shows in everything, from the service and decor to the cocktails and every plate that comes out.

Yelp
Take note- Automatic 4% service fee. We had the following dishes after a day of nordic skiing- went in super hungry and the food and service did not disappoint. Buffalo cauliflower. It's delicious, good texture and a good amount of spice to it. Probably one of the best I've had. I appreciated that it wasn't deep fried. The veggies burger. Made in house. Delicious. Loved the berry spread with pesto. Thai noodle dish with Tofu. Also delicious. I loved the assortment of ingredients. I wanted something yummy warm and noodly and it hit the spot. Turmeric ginger lemonade. A bit sweet. We diluted it with our water. But it was still nice and came with an edible flower. The waitress was informative and nice.

Yelp
Delicious, nutritious, novel ingredients and recipes. We treat ourselves to this great restaurant whenever we're staying in Breckenridge. It's on our way home. Service is great, and their outdoor patio welcomes our dog. Service with a warm smile, and attention to detail. Delicious vegan and vegetarian offerings, and never a wait to be seated (though they're usually quite busy).

Yelp
Modern decor, seated right away. Friendly wait staff. Food tasted yum. They could use some more simple & cheap nonalcoholic drinks.

Yelp
There are a lot of good things about this restaurant. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating in a beautiful environment. The menu has tons of delicious-looking, healthy options. And if you're gluten-free, you must come here! It will take you 10 mins to figure out what to order. After much deliberation, I decided on the vegetarian burger. It had lots of yummy-looking toppings. It was quite tasty, in and of itself. It came with home made potato chips--who doesn't love homemade potato chips?! The burger's flavors weren't quite right. There was a raspberry balsamic (I think) that was too tangy and not right for the ingredients. Maybe something different. The potato chips were fine, but was there salt on them? I don't know. Service was a bit slow, but friendly. I think they had a rush right when we walked in. I'd come back if I lived here, but I think they need to work on some of the flavor profiles. (My friend got the Brussels sprouts and said they needed to fix the chipotle mango dip too.)

Yelp
Great food, service & atmosphere. Lots to order if you have nut or other food allergies. Awesome gluten free options.

Yelp
We had a delightful dinner at Pure Kitchen! Shout out to our incredible server, Mariah, for accommodating our large group (11 people). I could see how this place would be a big hit with vegans and those with food allergies--lots of friendly options on the menu. All the food was great. We started with the gluten-free mozzarella sticks (made with homemade mozzarella!!) and the Portobello bites. Both were great but the mozzarella sticks are a MUST. For dinner, I ordered the grass-fed carne asada and it was delicious and a generous portion. I can't remember what everyone else ordered, but all enjoyed their meals. The cocktails were good but not anything to write home about. The vibe of the restaurant was nice, with soft lighting and light plants throughout.

Yelp
Really awesome service! Food was tasty, can't go wrong. We had 5 dishes and they were all good. All the bowls are fresh. Great ingredients and just love this place!!

Yelp
Stopped here for the first time when we were in Frisco. Such a cute place with delicious healthy food. The burgers, chicken ban mi & salads were delicious. Perfect example of how eating healthy doesn't mean you need to sacrifice on flavor!
google avatar

Robin H.

Yelp
We tried 3 dishes and all were delicious and so fresh. The carrot curry soup with coconut was the soup of the day and was amazing! Bahn mi had lots of flavor and the quinoa salad side was great. Spinach salad with goat cheese also yummy. And the service was superb. Loved the overall feel of the place, will make it a regular stop. Great ambiance and food are a winning combo!
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
The food here is nothing I have ever had before. I love it! I have celiac & this restaurant is amazing for people who need gluten free food. The gluten free mozzarella sticks & chicken parm is heavenly. The drinks are delicious. The atmosphere is elegant and comfortable. The bartop is really great to sit at. The service has always been quick & friendly both times I am have been! Highly recommend this spot in Frisco!

Yelp
I definitely do not recommend coming here, and it's not "pure" food at all, although they pride themselves of "checking all the boxes." Besides hummus, the 2 main dishes we ordered all had wayyyyyyy toooo much sugar in them. The Korean zoodle bowl is a pure disaster for sure. That weird, thick gooey sauce is definitely not Korean. In addition, it had so much sugar!!!! I didn't feel good after eating it! Also, they should take roasted buffalo cauliflower off the menu until they learn how to properly prepare for it because covering cauliflowers with thick batter is not "roasted." When it was brought to us, it was lukewarm!!! *sign** Consider yourself warned!

Yelp
Food was great. Music was AWFUL. Techno disco??? In a nicely decorated, calm, serene setting? After three songs of the same jarring beat I asked if they could change it, and they did for the time we were there. The staff said the owner wants that music on and the manager said that's what they always play. This is not a dance nightclub or a disco! Maybe should poll the guests! Food: Excellent. Strawberry salad was awesome. Husband had grilled salmon and liked it a lot. We live an hour away or I would take out the food rather than listen to their chosen music.
google avatar

Yelp
Food excellent! Drinks fun! Ambiance lively and bright. Service impeccable. Sat at the bar Martin was great and the entire staff friendly and helpful

Yelp
-2 stars from my previous review. They made too many mistakes. -- First we waited quite a while to be seated. We had a reservation and the restaurant didn't look too busy. There was a party of 6 who arrived before us that didn't have a reservation that definitely accounted for part of it. However, it was at least 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged any of us. -- Our server Matthew seemed overwhelmed from the start. -- Most of the beers on the menu were not available. -- we were served the wrong appetizer, they appropriately corrected and allowed us to keep the mistake. -- $20 burgers should be cooked as ordered. Medium order was well done. -- Ketchup is a standard condiment, but wasn't initially presented. When we asked, it took forever to arrive and my burger got cold waiting. -- the house salad at an up charge over chips was a handful of spring mix, and shriveled dry grated carrots. I'm hoping that this was simply an off night, but there's quite a lot of room for improvement!

Yelp
We came here because we are gluten-free. The food was bland and overpriced and the service was abysmal.
google avatar

Tonya S.

Yelp
We hadn't been to Frisco in a while and had eaten at most of the places that were there the last one we passed through. As a vegan it is tough to find places and even harder to find good places. Pure Kitchen checks all the boxes. My husband is a true meat eater and he too was very pleased. We shared the Brussels sprouts and Buffalo Cauliflower. These were both excellent. I had the Summit Noodle bowl and my husband had the Burger. He said the burger was excellent and he's pretty picky. My favorite was the Buffalo Cauliflower. That dish is hard to get right but they nailed it. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Was in town and many locals told me about this place, so I had to check it out. My boyfriend got the Pure Thai and I got the chicken little delight. Both were very fresh and delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Ambiance 5 Service 5 Gluten Free Options 5. Would give it a 10 if I could but Yelp only goes to 5. GF mozzarella sticks was delicious GF portobello fries was awesome Grass Fed Carne Asada was perfectly cooked med rare which most cooks over cook strip steak since it's so thin The Carne Asada Tacos were fantastic! And man the GF cheesecake was to die for
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Matthew our server was very friendly, accommodating and attentive. Spring rolls and Southwest Bowl were phenomenal. Like the ambiance and customer service

Yelp
We had a really great date night at Pure Kitchen on a trip to the mountains! We were seated on the patio, which was really beautiful on the summer evening we were there. There was a nice selection of locally-brewed beers as well as lots of specialty cocktails. The food we got was absolutely delicious. My partner and I both got a Bowl: I got the Summit Stir Fry bowl with grilled chicken, and my partner got the Korean Zoodle Bowl with salmon. They were both outstanding and big enough portions that we had leftovers. We also got the buffalo cauliflower appetizer, which was delicious. Would highly recommend this spot for families or date night! Super fresh and yummy meal. One additional note: There are tons of options for every possible dietary need, such as vegetarian, vegan, GF, dairy free, etc.

Yelp
The food is nothing to write home about. The service is nonexistent. Go somewhere else with better food and service.

Yelp
I had to come back before I left back to Denver and I had to get the sweet potato lasagna again . Service was consistent from the first time which was fast and efficient. The ambiance is new and modern . This time they were offering free small water plants . super cute ! This place over all is amazing . Date night , dinner with family or even sit at the bar and enjoy a drink . Going to miss this place I

Yelp
We stopped in on our way through Frisco, not knowing what to expect. The atmosphere, food, and service were all excellent. We can recommend the green chili chicken sandwich and the strawberry salad.
google avatar

Morgan H.

Yelp
*CELIAC / GLUTEN FREE REVIEW delicious and so many options! I got the pure thai bowl and mozzarella sticks (weird combo I know but I had to try them both!). Everything was great and I had no reaction, plenty to choose from. separate fryer / prep space for gluten free items.
google avatar

Yelp
Overall- awesome food, drinks, ambiance, and service. We popped in for lunch while visiting from out of town. We had the lamb burger with a kale salad and stir fry bowl with salmon. Both were balanced and delicious. We loved that a kale salad was one of the regular options for a side for the lamb burger and the homemade chips on the lamb burger added a delicious and unique crunch to the dish. I enjoyed the Lola and Zuko drinks. Both were fun and complex and not too sweet. Our server was kind and attentive.
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
If only all road trips featured yummy healthy restaurants like this right off the highway! I had a "half" sandwich - avocado, lettuce, & tomato on toasted (whole grain?) bread - with a baby kale salad. Ooops, it came with a full sandwich. It was delish, healthy, and - well - that's about enough for a road trip lunch. The service was great and our server was friendly. Spouse had a chicken banh mi with house made potato chips. The chips were yummy; spouse said the chicken wasn't really banh mi, but it was a very good chicken sandwich. Two very tired thumbs up!

Sheri M.

Yelp
Great spot in Frisco! We order food to go and it was delicious. We had the Thai bowl and the strawberry salad both with chicken. A little pricey but you are in the mountains so I guess that is expected. The staff were very friendly. They have outdoor seating which looked nice.

Carrie L.

Yelp
I ordered the superfood salad with miso glazed mushrooms. The combination of flavors was fantastic! Unfortunately, the freshness of the lettuce was lacking. I ate through the majority of it. Most of the leaves were wilted or past their prime, especially for $20. Otherwise it was a nice experience. Hopefully, they can make sure future salads are fresher.

D L.

Yelp
Food service in ambience were all great! They serve really clean food with wonderful combinations and spices. It's great for everybody in my family who eats normal food, but when you're celiac vegan or vegetarian, it's hard to find amazing food and this is that!!

William R.

Yelp
We had lunch here today and the food was fine but very expensive. The host seated us promptly but had no personality. He was indifferent. Not offensive, but did not add anything to the experience. Our waiter was fine but we never saw him between placing our order and when he delivered the bill. For us that is an automatic one star demerit. So, ok place but likely won't go back. I would suggest a conversation with your host and training for your waitstaff.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Had high expectations and was looking for something healthy after spending 15 hours on the road coming from Nevada. Placed an online order for a strawberry harmony salad and some sort of bowl. Drove 15 minutes from the hotel, picked up order and got back to the hotel to find no dressing for the salad. Places a call to restaurant and was only asked if I'd like to return to pick up the dressing that was forgot. Needless to say, salad went in the trash. Won't be returning.
google avatar

Nichole P.

Yelp
What a find! Fresh, healthy food that tastes delicious. Definitely the best lunch stop on our roadtrip!
google avatar

Jose A.

Yelp
We were a group of 8 and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Prices are high but so is the quality of the ingredients - grass-fed wagyu beef for the carne asada for example. Not for people looking for a quick cheap eat, but if you're a "Whole Foods" type you should enjoy it, particularly relative to the understandably limited food options in mountain towns. Server was very friendly as well.
google avatar

Chelsea R.

Yelp
My mom and I went here for my birthday. Neither of us were impressed. I ordered the salad with strawberries and goat cheese. I was disappointed as there were only three very small balls of breaded goat cheese. I also added chicken to the salad, which was not served with the salad. It came late, my mom ordered the veggie burger, which was supposedly made in house. It was the driest veggie burger possible, and the chips tasted like cardboard. No one ever came to refill our waters. After our meal, we used the restroom. The paper towels were not in the paper towel holder, and there was no soap. I mentioned the bathrooms and the lack of water refills because these are easy things the restaurant could do to elevate itself. Aesthetically the restaurant is nice, the staff was pleasant. The restaurant has potential. The quality of the food and the prices are not adding up....
google avatar

Wedge A.

Yelp
They make a great attempt to cater to all the "dietary restrictions" people, but miss the mark on demonstrating their commitment to environmental sustainability, health, and ethical agriculture.
google avatar

Katie G.

Yelp
I have been here twice now and Pure Kitchen never disappoints. There are so many options here for all preferences and diets, and all healthy and delicious. Many vegan options too!! I have had their vegan bowls before and this time tried the super food salad, made vegan. It was so delicious! Buffalo cauliflower is pretty spicy, but good. Dont miss out on their cocktails-the strawberry rhubarb margarita was awesome. It's also a really great ambience, casual but really cute. I know I'll be back on my next visit!

Kathy Y.

Yelp
Great food, friendly staff, beautiful patio. The menu has something for everyone including healthy & fun choices for the kids and lots of gluten free options. We had the Brussels sprouts, GF chicken parm and chicken bahn mi and we would order them all again on the next trip. Since it's by Whole Foods, it was easy to park.

Robert C.

Yelp
Food was great. Service was good. Host and seating was not good. With a Lind out the door they seemed to prioritize phone calls over live people who had reservations waiting in a long line.

Nikki P.

Yelp
Food was wonderful! The service took forever to get our food with an empty restaurant. Tons of staff just not in the kitchen apparently. They add a 4% competitive wage compensation to your check that is a hidden fee until you get the printed receipt.

Karen K.

Yelp
What a great place! Wonderful service and amazing food. The Thai bowl with added salmon was amazing, and so were the house-made mozzarella sticks.
google avatar

Raymond J.

Yelp
Kinda Asian flare. We sat outside it was super windy and in the sun, so it made for an interesting meal. Good service, good food. Of the 4 of my crew, everyone loved their meal. Pizza, bowls, sandwiches, desserts, beer, wine, whiskey, Tequlia/Mezca, they have a wide variety. Good place in Frisco
google avatar

George G.

Yelp
I live a short walk from this place and really want to like it here. Last January I decided to take a long break after my Foundation tried to have a celebration dinner here, unfortunately our server was rude and walked out of her shift. Nobody stepped to help except an off duty staff member. We were there for 3 1/2 hours while they tried to figure out the bill. Yesterday I went back and ordered a simple hummus appetizer that never made it to our table until an hour later. He blamed the kitchen for placing it in the fridge. It was frozen and awful. We then watched him leave the restaurant and never came back. This place has solid food but a long history of RUDE staff members that drink on the job and terrible service. The only reason why I am giving it two stars are the cocktails and patio.
google avatar

Marc M.

Yelp
The service was above and beyond and the food was incredible. Some of the best vegan dishes I've had.

Jorge M.

Yelp
Food is mediocre, the drinks are meh, and the service always seems distracted. Wish it was better. Ill give it another chance sometime, but not running back.

Frank F.

Yelp
We have been consistent customers of Pure Kitchen since they opened. It WAS our go to place in Frisco for lunch and dinner. However, the service has been going downhill for the past two years, culminating at disastrous our last two visits. We were greeted quickly and given seats immediately. No waiter showed up to our table in each visit. After 15 minutes we left. We will not be returning.
google avatar

Ariella W.

Yelp
Came into Frisco for a girls trip. Looking for vegan/gluten free food can be challenging no matter where i might go. Though some areas are more friendly than others to these dietary needs. I found Pure Kitchen through both a google and yelp search. Looked over their menu and decided that I wanted to go visit here for our meal out. Positives : -menu is clearly labeled for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free (this always gets bonus points in my book) -there were several choices for those with special dietary needs -though the restaurant is not overly large they make great use of their space. Plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor -modern looking and clean -Staff was friendly -Food was tasty and flavorful Negatives : -really only one. Prices are a little higher end. But aside from that everything was great! Would come back in the future if I was in the area.

Souvir B.

Yelp
The menu , the location and the service seems to get good. Everything else is below par. We ordered three items: 1. Cauliflower wings (good nothing extraordinary, basically dip them in buffalo sauce) 2. Stir fry bowl with steak (below par) .. 3-4 pieces of steak and stir fry was just everything thrown in there with a lot of sweet sauce 3. Vegan burger (way below par) gluten free bread even worse . Never going to come here again

Lauren N.

Yelp
First time here and we LOVED it. Great service and beautiful setting, but ultimately the incredible food was the big winner. Started with mozzarella sticks (had to order a second round they were so good). Can't recommend the lamb burger enough for entree- absolute to die for! Can't wait to return
