Love the upscale tacos. The menu provides some good variations to just tacos.Tasty choices for everyone! Pur Woodstock is a good location for a walk before or after dinner.

Google
@kplusds We were out on a Sunday afternoon when I got a craving for Tacos! A quick google search presented us with Pure. No line, no waiting - we were seated and greeted with a smile. There was some menu explaining - which seems to come from past experiences with a poorly designed menu which doesn’t explain the options (at least for tacos) completely. So I appreciate the upfront guidance. Our waitress was even great about letting us know the spice levels ahead of time. Tacos were yummy - the sauce (on the side ) WAS spicy - and I ended up using the salsa from the chips. Breakfast burrito was huge and delicious! The terrazzo floors gives the place a rather loud atmosphere - hence my 4-star for that. Bloo loved the spicy margarita!

Google
This place is gross, the bathrooms were disgusting, The service was atrocious. My daughter and her friends sat at another table and were treated as if they weren't paying customer's. Let's mention the food, soft/cold centered taquitos, bland seasoning and soggy taco shells. It was an overwhelmingly terrible experience. Would not recommend.

I eat here everytime I go to downtown Woodstock. Food is fresh, and the drinks are frosty. Like sitting outside on the rooftop too. Summer salad is to die for...

I’m a Mexican American from Texas so my upbringing on Mexican food is unique to my Lone Star State but for a different take on Mexican food, I was not disappointed, I loved the atmosphere! I enjoyed my meal, and the price was affordable. I will definitely be returning to try another dish.

Google
service was EXTREMELY slow but also very friendly! It took about 15 minutes to get our drinks and we ordered them before food... just not sure why as there was no explanation given. Our waiter was nice tho! The food was all great! My only concern was the flank steak was $28 for a very small portion... tiny to us but I know nothing about food costs so I'm sharing a picture in hopes you won't be surprised. Empanadas were good and yes small so just be aware

Google
Came in For lunch and Chose a very specific Dish 3 Birria Tacos with Rice and Beans for my main dish and Queso con Todo for appetizer Apetizer was Good and I say That because I've had it before, the main reason I go eat here it's because most of the food is genuine and Not as Texmex as Other Mexican Restaurants while also providing a good variety of dishes it is not a Huge menu and I feel that it makes all dishes a Great Quality when choosing your options. Unfortunately I ordered the Birria Tacos and while it looked real good It lacked All The flavor of a Birria Taco The Consome or Broth had no flavor or color to it and The meat was a bit Dry and flavorless so bottom line This are NOT Birria Tacos The tortilla was Actually good as it is different than anywhere I have eaten before I feel that it's made with a specialty corn or a Very special way probably Organic Rice and Beans were as usual not bad at all Our waitress was phenomenal as always very courteous and helpfull when placing the order and patient enough to give us Time to think over our choices 😉 love the service but not the food...

Everything was great. Fresh chips and salsa too.

Yelp
When in Woodstock, PURE! Great food. Burritos and tacos are the best. Special margaritas. Fun rooftop and sports, with no sound, at the bar. Reminds me of Sharkey's in LA

Hiba R.

Yelp
Service was good, food not so much. As someone has mentioned here the chicken quesadillas were more like empanadas more than they were anything to do with a tortilla. Chicken was bland and although it was supposed to be chicken and cheese there was no cheese. Rice was a weird texture. Queso and tortilla chips were really good!!

Rosemary S.

Yelp
I've only ever come here for the margaritas before, which live up to their reputation of being strong and delicious. The space is welcoming, offering a choice between the upstairs patio with a nice view or the downstairs dining room. However, the food left something to be desired. I tried the Pollo con Tequila y Limon, and while the dish was flavorful, it was completely drenched in sauce, overpowering the beans and rice. I also sampled the Birria tacos, which were unfortunately over salted. Another issue we had was that all of our menus had faded text. We had to swap around menus to see the full availability of the menu as each of us had bits and pieces. Overall, while the ambiance and drinks are fantastic, the food didn't quite hit the mark for me this time.

Yelp
Great, serving and delicious food ,we recommend the pescado and ceviche was perfect!!

Yelp
Revisited last Weekend. The service was great, I believe the servers name was Justin. He did a great job. The food was definitely better than my first visit.

Rick M.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible! We went today for Tamales as their menu says they are only available on Sunday. They open at 11am we sat down at 1pm and ordered tamales. Bartender said "we're out". He finally said they never had the "ingredients to make them today'. Okay we ordered a chicken quesadilla to share. It came out deep fried and twice as thick as an Empanada! Very dry with no filling except chicken. Chips were very thick and deep fried and inedible. We had not been in a long time and it will be a LONG time before we go back

Maria A.

Yelp
Food is ok - drinks are good - music sucks!!!!!! All they play is country music during the day! Is this a hick town????

Natasha S.

Yelp
I had shrimp tacos and margaritas. The sh3inp tacos were fresh and seasoned. The margaritas were okay. The restaurant has a great outdoor patio space, and the DJ on this Saturday night kept me entertained. Our waiter was really quick, helpful, and professional. It's a cute hangout in Woodstock.

Robbie G.

Yelp
Great service! Great food as always.. for the area and the portions I think the value is there, I will say the corn tortillas were not even heated up on my tacos Parking most days unless you get early lunch is terrible granted it is more of the larger parking lots but there is a church a couple blocks down

Katura B.

Yelp
Delicious as always! We visited on a Friday night! There was fun music upstairs for the adult crowd but still quiet enough for general eating down stairs. Our waiter was very pleasant & the food was delicious! The fries, with I'm assuming was spicy mayo, DELICIOUS!!! Date night, family night, enjoying a drink at the bar, or a girls night out, Pure is a great option!

Tori T.

Yelp
SO YUMMY!! I got the chicken tacos. Service was great. Views were great. We really enjoyed our experience!

Yelp
My son and I have eaten here for years. It used to be our favorite place. But the last two times I have eaten here I have gotten SICK.. I used to order the Salmon Tostopos. I should've sent it back when I could smell. It being sat down in front of me. When fish is fresh, it Should not have that "fishy "smell. I ate two thinking it was my imagination, but they tasted as bad as they smelled. I was not going to go back, but my son begged me. So I tried something different. Got the mushroom quesadillas. Wasn't a quesadilla at all. It was a taco with a burnt portobello mushroom that tasted like asphalt. Add to that each and every time when we get the guacamole and the cheese dip, the chips are overcooked and burned . And the service is hit or miss. Sometimes you get a good server and sometimes you'll sit at your table for 15 minutes before anybody ever even approaches you. Or to get help. My son's friend spilled his tea couldn't get anybody's attention so I had to get up and go get napkins myself. They are way too expensive to be so less than average with their food anymore. It will be a very long time if ever we go back.

Steve C.

Yelp
I have not been to this location before, but it's similar to the others in the Atlanta area. Fairly busy, but far from packed on Saturday night, service was quite slow and inattentive Chips and Salsa are not free here as they are traditionally most Mexican restaurants, however, they will only set you back about $3. I had the Burrito Ahogado, it was a large portion and tasty. My wife had chicken enchiladas and felt they were subpar (I didn't dig them either). I also had a Firebird margarita and although it wasn't the most flavorful, it packed a punch!

Daiane D.

Yelp
We absolutely love this restaurant food HOWEVER today ( July 26 at 11:35 ) we called to make an order and the girl on the phone didn't feel like working today and told us to go to the restaurant personally to make the order. We asked her so do you guys don't take over the phone orders? She said YES WE DO but is better if you come to the restaurant, we mentioned that we didn't have lot of time, she said that it wouldn't take that long. So again we asked nicely so there's no way we can order by phone ? And then she hang out the phone.

Yelp
My wife and I had lunch here a couple of weeks ago. We sat at the rooftop and enjoyed the views of downtown. The food was very good as was the service and the margaritas. I gave 4 stars and would have given 5 because I did not like having to leave my credit card with the waitress to hold while we ate. I do not understand why management would take on this kind of liability. I like to think and hope that everyone is honest but the fact is not everyone is. Eventually you will have a problem with this and I don't want to be the one to have to deal with it so unfortunately because of this, I will not be back.

Trond H.

Yelp
Came here with coworkers to eat lunch after work getting rained out. Food tasted pretty authentic as they have Hispanic cooks cheffing it up. Is in downtown Woodstock, GA next to yoga, people walking dogs all over and afternoon drinking with stay at home moms ( yes). The waitresses were super cool, the restaurant was semi packed, semi loud but a good eats spot. Next time I'm Woodstock it will be after work hours so I can try their margarita ( heard it's strong and hella tasty).

Morgan G.

Yelp
This place had great food and great staff! Our waiter was awesome and would definitely come again! Came during the day, but would love to come out at night! They had great seasonal drinks! Watermelon basil and pineapple margaritas - both yummy!

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Vibrant flavors in entrees, incredible guacamole and memorable chips. Wicked margaritas! ( You'll need only one!) Outdoor seating is lovely and allows a gorgeous view of downtown Woodstock! Servers are attentive and personable.

Anna S.

Yelp
Food was good. Service was not great. My wife's brother had the octopus stuff, threw up all night.

Stephanie V.

Yelp
I came here with my mom & it wasn't horrible. To start, I ordered a Bloody Mary that was not the greatest. I'm not sure it's one of their menu items but they said they could make one. We also got a queso which was typical but good. I wanted enchiladas, but am not a huge fan of mole which was their enchilada of the day. I asked for a substitution for the sauce & the waitress said something along the lines of the kitchen "doesn't like making substitutions," but I asked if she would please see if the switch was possible & they ended up doing it. The enchiladas were eh... the salsa verde was good & I liked the cheese they had baked on top, but they were extremely dry & the chicken filling wasn't shredded well so it was hard to eat. The tortillas were also pretty dry, but the rice & beans were good. However, my mom said her chicken taquitos were good. I'm not sure I'll come back here, but if I do I'll definitely order something else.

Yelp
Convince in location Service staff is nice Lunch a no-brainer Else drinks on the upper deck

Mary N.

Yelp
If you LOVE cilantro, this is your place... Not cilantro added thoughtfully to your dish for flavor, just dumped on top... EXCELLENT margaritas and bar service though! Always impressed... Waited 45 minutes for a couch to open up on the rooftop for our family, as we're really enjoying the atmosphere and we're looking forward to the live music at 7PM. We finally got a couch and paid our bar tab (at their request) and moved to order entrees and listen to music. As we were looking at the menu to order drinks and food for 6 adults and 4 children, we were told that the manager requested no children upstairs during the live music and the server requested we close our tab. We for sure won't be back. Very unwelcoming and even went to social media to see where age restrictions were made for the night on the rooftop/ do t see any listed...

Michelle G.

Yelp
This review is 100% because of our server Jacob. The location is always great especially rooftop. That's really why people come! Drinks are usually good but food is good not great! Thursday night when we went though the service was great!! Jacob was great! He is funny, thinks fast on his feet and did a great job getting every single order and request correct! Our group has a blast! The music was ok kind of a weird vibe as he played rap intros to country songs at a Taqueria.

Alan D.

Yelp
Food underwhelming and pricey.Service was excellent though Sat upstairs outside, pleasant spot, zwoodstock is slwzys busy and fun.i have the tacos Barbados which wre leaky and not so tasty. I've had better..at Macho Taco for $3. These were considerably more.. not worth the tab. In summary.ok but not great.options abound nearby.

Yelp
The mixed reviews of Pure kept my husband and I away for a while, but we finally checked it out for the first time within the last year. We have now been twice and have a good feeling of the place. Unfortunately, Yelp doesn't have a half star option as I would truly rate Pure 3.5 stars. I think where Pure shines is their drinks, their food, and their location. The location in downtown Woodstock - plus that stunning rooftop - doesn't get any better. We haven't been able to grab a spot on the rooftop and have only dined on the side deck, which has been enjoyable. I haven't ventured out much regarding their menu but have had the Queso Gringo, Queso Fundido, Puerco al Pastor Tacos, and Fajitas. I thought all four of these items were very tasty and would order them again and again. The Double Barrel Margarita isn't cheap, but sooo delicious. Just thinking about it now makes me want one... Pure's challenge is their staff. If I had to use one word to describe them, I would say immature. For our first visit, our waiter was very warm and kind but was a bit overly chatty to the point that I felt badly that he was ignoring some other tables to talk with us. More recently, our waitress brought us the wrong appetizer, and instead of leaving it and bringing back the right app, she wanted to take it away. We felt very odd having food whisked away from us and asked her to leave it instead (at our expense).

MaryBeth N.

Yelp
We went to dinner here tonight in downtown Woodstock. The staff was all very friendly and the service was very fast and efficient. Also the food we got was delicious and quite filling. I would say they do have a small menu with not a ton of options for those who can't have cilantro like my boyfriend is unfortunate. Other than that we had quite a nice time and enjoyed the experience we had at pure. Also the margaritas are top notch.

Jonathan R.

Yelp
Pure was better than expected but still falls a tad short on flavor and execution. The service was great. My birria tacos lacked the fat & cheese, I'm used to from SoCal iterations. Chips seemed stale, salsa was watered down except for the habanero, that had great habanero flavor. I like we hat pure is trying to do, in the democratization of authentic Mexican flavors. They used to be amazing when they had one location, now it seems that they have fallen into the chain pit of hell now that they have multiple outlets. The ambiance is a chill gentrified vibe with hipster roll up garage doors and enough glass to see all the beautiful people inside.

Peter D.

Yelp
Awful service! The crew working the night of 6/18 should be fired. I will never EVER visit this location again.

Doug G.

Yelp
The best rooftop in Woodstock! This location, which is one of seven located around the metro area sits in the heart of the downtown square in Woodstock. I have been to this location many times for company events, lunch, dinner and the occasional cocktail. I could not even tell you what the downstairs/interior looks like, as every time I have visited I always head upstairs that beautiful rooftop patio! When I am here for corporate events with catered food and provided drinks, the food is always kept fresh, warm and plentiful while the service is friendly and helpful, and of course the drinks are strong and tasty! When I have come here to have cocktails/meals outside of catered events our table always starts with the Queso Fundido with chorizo or the Queso con Todo. The con Todo edges our the fundido as our fav as that chicken tinga is delish! For meals, I do not stray far from the taco menu. The tacos are served in pairs and come with rice and choice of beans. My go to is the fried grouper tacos or the Birria. I do wish you could mix/match the tacos. My partner is a quesadilla fella, so he always gets and enjoys the chicken quesadilla. In addition to all the classics and favorites you expect, they also serve a few sandwiches. They also serve brunch on the weekends and while I have not made it to try just yet, those Chilaquiles and I have a date at some point! In addition to grub, they have a healthy variety of boozy beverages from famed margaritas, sangria, beer and wine. I believe most people, including me, love this location of Pure for the vibe and the decent food. I will say though, without that rooftop or location, I would not think so highly of Pure. The food is decent, but in my opinion, overpriced. A pair of tacos can cost you up to $15, while plain queso will run you close to $8. Overall, I enjoy Pure and understand why the brand has exploded in the last 10 years. It is a great spot, in a fantastic area with decent food and strong drinks...nothing to be mad at!

jessica r.

Yelp
Our server Mariana was amazing. Answered all our questions about the menu and made some great recommendations. Overall the food was good but could use some more seasoning.

Biggy B.

Yelp
Nice little Mexican place downtown Woodstock. A little on the pricey side but let's face it you are in the center of downtown Woodstock what could possibly be better than that... Definitely beats all of the BS you have to deal with by Midtown and downtown that in itself is worth it. The cooks are working it and they are the real deal. I've tried many dishes here they're all pretty good and the atmosphere is also pretty chill and a great upstairs bar with music a little later at night.

Nick C.

Yelp
I've been to pure a couple of times, it's been decent. This time around I ordered Chicken Fajitas, which was around like 18 dollars. When it came out, it was barely warm. Extremely small portion of chicken for the price. Chicken was cooked well, but had absolutely no flavor. The vegetables were past charred and just burnt. The burnt flavor overwhelmed the little flavor that existed. No bell peppers, unnecessarily large pieces of onion. The service was pretty good. Different menu items are better, but the fajitas were the worst I've ever had in my life. I've had a lot of fajitas.

Tori M.

Yelp
I just left this establishment after experiencing something very discriminatory. I was with a group of 6, 2 white, 2 Asian, 2 black people (in a perfect world, race shouldn't matter but it UNFORTUNATELY does for this review) To start off, we were really enjoying ourselves. The drinks were great, ambiance was nice, and it started off as a great Saturday night for some friends. I was not drunk nor tipsy during this experience, but had accidentally spilled a drink on my friend (which was a funny situation.) my friend was laughing and turned towards the railing. A couple minutes after we had cleaned up the drink, a cop had approached my group and commanded us to leave. Confused, we asked why. He accused my friend of "throwing up over the balcony". Mind you, she hadn't even finished her first drink of the night. After we politely corrected him about what had actually happened, he insisted we leave saying "the bar is closing anyways". As we left, the cop was not asking anyone else to leave , and sat by the exit doing nothing as multiple groups of white people continued to chat and enjoy themselves. My group of friends were probably the most diverse group of people in there, given the demographics of the people in the bar at the time were mostly white. This was an extremely embarrassing and upsetting experience as everyone around us was watching him accuse us of this and force us to leave. People even muttered that what he was doing was wrong. We will not be returning due to this very upsetting interaction.

Katharyn M.

Yelp
I was just racially profiled at this bar .... i am genuinely at a loss for words with the service i have received tonight. i was initially enjoying my time, despite the bartender clearly having a bad personal night. The weakest most hilarious excuse for a Pig approached me and accused me of throwing up.... i did no such thing. He clearly wanted to make an example of my multicultural friend group... I should not have expected anything less from Woodstock, GA.

Lisa S.

Yelp
So I was going to place an order to go. BUT, a table of staff right at the door was sitting, chatting, rolling silverware, and every.single.one of them was wearing their mask as a neck covering. The bartender, who was the person who was to take my to go order, he too had his mask down only covering his neck. As I looked around, the waitstaff also seemed to have mask issues as some only covered their mouth and not their nose. Thank you, but no on food from PURE until their staff learns proper mask usage.

Frederick D.

Yelp
We dined on the Roof top across from the train tracks that cuts through Woodstock where we had been for almost an hour enjoying local brews @Reformation and the children's park until our dinner hunger pangs beckoned is in here. We ordered steak fajitas and chicken enchilada and started off with chips and guacamole which was delicious. The main courses were yummy and we got great service too. Definitely recommend a visit.

Beth M.

Yelp
This was my first time eating in a restaurant since early March (it's 6/5). We lunch with my ladies at Pure! Great and friendly waitstaff, excellent service, proper social distancing. Everyone ohhhhed and ahhhhed over their margaritas. I had the Pepino Diablo and it was delish if you like a little kick in your drink. For lunch, I had the tequila limon chicken which was quite tasty. Four large grilled tenderloins with rice and beans. Usually, I eat a lot but it was enough to save for lunch the next day! Most of the people at my table got shrimp tacos. Everyone was pleased with their meals! We also had guacamole and salsa. Our meal was great and we topped it off with some amazing key lime pie. I mean to die for, out of this world, key lime pie. Save room for that, it's a must!

Beth C.

Yelp
Walked in on a Sunday in November to get denied service for the fact that in August a stranger bought us a drink and that card declined. Most obsurd thing I've ever heard of in my life. You no longer want my business that's fine, I'll make sure none of my family or friends give you business either.

Alexander L.

Yelp
PURE Taqueria (Woodstock, GA) shows disgusting disregard for the lives being lost during this coronavirus pandemic. Americans are DYING and all they care about is making money. There are now over 120,000 in the US, and nearly a million cases worldwide. People are dying from being in close contact and you hosted a rooftop party last weekend? See the photo from 3/21/20. Despicable. Everyone should be staying at home to help flatten the curve and keep the most vulnerable and sick safe from this highly infectious virus for which there is no cure or treatment. PURE Taqueria remaining open and actually inviting people up for live music on the rooftop is reckless. This endangers not only the Woodstock patrons and their families but also the employees forced to work those shifts and eventually the first responders who are fighting this war on the frontlines. Again, this is a pandemic. DO BETTER. #flattenthecurve #stayhome #coronavirus #covid19

bella a.

Yelp
food was so fresh and light on the stomach doesn't leave you feeling weighted down. Salmon was AMAZING. highly recommend the Totopos de Salmón (it's an appetizer but I got it as my main course.)

J D.

Yelp
We ordered a flight of tequila. One glass had a hair, the other had a bug, and the rest had dust. It cost $40 for a flight of unsanitary tequila and chips and salsa with queso. You don't get a physical bill to review. This is NOT the first time I've found hair in my food at this location but it will be my last. I will never return and you bet I will tell everyone that I know not to waste their money here. Plenty of other restaurants in the immediate area that don't serve you hairy food in dirty glasses. Our flights weren't even filled to 1 finger so they'll short you on that as well.

Aundrea T.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our late lunch today. We asked for an open air table and sat comfortably. Our waiter was very attentive! We shared the bottomless chips for $1.99 (enough, no refill neede) And the special, chicken enchiladas, all around!!! Delicious

Cassie S.

Yelp
Really delicious! The Birria tacos were amazing! The refried beans were the best I've ever had. Been back many times and is my go to spot when I crave Mexican food.

Nikka W.

Yelp
I love the ambiance of this place. Who doesn't like a rooftop with live music? The spouse and I come here often and I have to say the service at the bar isn't consistent. It's either awesome service (Caleb and two other guys that I didn't catch the names of) or pretty poor. This weekend we had to track down our server several times. Once after she took our drink order than went to take selfies with friends that were visiting her and to not be seen again for over 30 minutes. Very disappointing especially when you are spending close to $80 on drinks and dinner.

Paulina A.

Yelp
Pure Taqueria is located in the center of downtown Woodstock. It has the same theme and decor as other Pure locations. My sister and I came in for lunch and were seated in the outdoor garage space. The food was consistent with what Pure offers, however, the service was very inattentive and slow.

Maria A.

Yelp
Haven't been in along time because the last time wasn't good. Sadly nothing has improved. A full bar and no bartender in sight. Ordered a mojito but what do you call it when it consists of one mint leaf and 2 lime slices? The ceviche had no flavor and where's the fish? Last time for me. I'm out.

Michael P.

Yelp
We were drawn to the live music on the roof, and decided to try Pure out. The Pure ceviche was awesome and the lamb tacos were tender and very tasty. The service was great too, they just need to improve on their mixed drinks.

Robert G.

Yelp
Visiting from out of state and family and friends all said - we have to take you to Pure. Table of 5 with "skinny love" margarita's around. We began with some fantastic chip tortillas. Ordered the shrimp ceviche, to tipos de salmon (amazing coming from someone who doesn't eat salmon very much at all!) - and WOW - the rockstar of the night (besides Caleb our server) was the "fritangas de jaiba" or crab fritters! WOW - I nearly ordered a second round as an entree but decided I had to give the fried grouper tacos a taste. Our table was all thoroughly impressed with everything. Quick and responsive service from the bartender making and refilling our drinks to the kitchen promptly firing up our food! Our server Caleb despite it being his 6th day on the job was outstanding, humorous, witty, knowledgeable, courteous and attentive to our needs. Not only was he entertaining and personable but knowledgeable of the menu and never blinked at any of our special requests. Having eaten at some amazing top 10 places in Las Vegas and NYC just in past couple weeks - Servers in those restaurants need lessons from Caleb. Thank you PURE TAQUERIA for the amazing food, atmosphere and service for my afternoon visit.

Kellie H.

Yelp
We sat upstairs and although it was hot outside, they have misters and fans to keep it comfortable. The drinks were delightful and the food is really good! The chips are obviously made fresh, the salsas are good! I was impressed with the vegan options! Can't wait to visit again soon!
