Restaurants Open on Christmas Day in Raleigh, Durham, and Cary | Eater Carolinas

"Both the Raleigh and Durham locations will be open regular hours (9 a.m. to 9 p.m.) on Christmas Day, and everything on the menu is vegan. There’s a smorgasbord of options available between breakfast dishes like chik’n and waffles, chana masala wraps, and several burger options to please any palate in the house. There’s no alcohol, but try a Zingiber coffee with more than ten good-for-you spices mixed in, like ginger and turmeric." - Elliott Harrell

Excellent experience! We ate brunch (12 people). Food was delicious and service was outstanding. What struck me was how sincere the staff was. I could tell they really care about their products. Also, to any meat eaters, you will love it here as well. Would highly recommend!

We are not vegan but love to explore all kinds of food. Pure Vegan Cafe was FANTASTIC!!! Food was SO YUMMY. Service was phenomenal. I had the Brussles and Jackfruit BBQ Sandwich. Hubby had Chick’n & Waffles. We took dessert home - Biscoff Cheescake. We will be back soon.

I’m from NYC and stumbled across Pure Vegan Café while visiting Raleigh—and honestly, this is the BEST vegan food I’ve ever had. The menu is creative, the flavors are incredible, and the portions are generous. I tried the chik’n & waffles and Buffalo ranch fries, and both blew me away. Everything tasted fresh, seasoned perfectly, and made with real care. On top of that, the staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The vibe is bright, clean, and inviting—you can tell they put a lot of love into this place. Pure Vegan Café isn’t just good “for vegan food,” it’s amazing food, period. If you’re in Raleigh (vegan or not), this is a MUST-visit spot.

Google
4.9 ⭐️ for a reason! So many great “safe” options to choose from! And thats a good thing. Some things you just cant go wrong with vegan food, but they got it all right! I got the BBQ platter special, i added the mushrooms appetizer, fried cauliflower and the chick’n waffle. 🧇 everything was delicious. I thought the platter coulve been a bigger portion for the price ($18.99). The waffle was really dense but tasted buttery and nice. The chick’n was also tasty, not crispy like i had expected. The best part of the BBQ was the bbq chick’n and the chili (tasted like sloppy joe sweet which is alright with me) Good space inside to sit and eat. Also outdoor seating is nice too. I ordered takeout and the food was still good when i tasted it before I left and when i got home. Great place to eat over all. Safe and delicious choice for vegans.

Google
This restaurant delivered an exceptional experience, pleasing a difficult-to-satisfy mix of diners that included vegans, former vegans, and carnivores. The menu's Indian fusion execution is flawless. Standouts included the crispy and tender chk'n and waffles, savory tikka platters, and perfectly BBQ platters. The chk'n sandwiches were a highlight, served with both crisp classic fries and delicious sweet potato fries. While every course was a success, the dessert was a showstopper—the Biscoff cheesecake was a sweet, decadent finish that we're still thinking about. The carefully selected playlist of Indian fusion music created a dynamic and engaging backdrop that elevated the entire meal. No compromises were made, and everyone left completely satisfied. We cannot wait to return!

I am absolutely bursting with joy over my discovery of Pure Vegan Cafe. This isn't just a place to eat—it's an experience! I fell so completely in love with the vibe, the food, and the incredible people that I found myself going back for three consecutive days during my visit. It truly feels like a labor of love, and you can taste it in every single bite. The atmosphere is a whole vibe in itself. The moment you walk in, you're wrapped in a sense of calm and beauty. It's clean, lovely, and so welcoming that you just want to stay and soak it all in. And oh, the food! Everything is simply delicious, fantastic, and a testament to how incredible plant-based cuisine can be. The value is unbelievable—I was able to get a fulfilling, mouthwatering meal for just $10-$20 each time. The vegan "chicken" sandwich with those perfect fries was a highlight. And let's not forget the oatmeal bowl—it was a pure, nourishing bowl of comfort. The cheesecakes are beyond divine; they are a work of art! The Mango and Biscoff Cookie Cheesecakes were nothing short of a revelation. Rich, creamy, and heavenly, they are without a doubt some of the most perfect desserts I've ever had. The wonderful customer service truly shines here, making the entire experience a dream. Every detail at Pure Vegan Cafe is handled with care and passion, and it makes all the difference. This place is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates truly amazing food and a lovely, positive environment.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was on a road trip from NYC to Florida and decided to make a stop at Pure Vegan Cafe — and I’m so glad I did! The food here is beyond amazing: fresh, clean, and truly nourishing. Every bite felt like the perfect balance of flavor and health. The new platter is absolutely amazing — it’s everything a man needs to eat for real satisfaction. Filling, flavorful, and prepared with so much care, it left me feeling completely satisfied without the heaviness of unhealthy food. The atmosphere is just as uplifting — everything is spotless and welcoming. You can tell the owner puts her heart into this place. She is so talented, and you can literally see her kindness and good spirit through her eyes. This isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience that leaves you feeling lighter, healthier, and grateful. If you’re ever nearby, don’t miss the chance to stop here — it’s a true gem!

I went to this place not knowing what to expect. When I found out that 90% of everything is made in house and not pre-packaged I knew I found my restaurant! The food is absolutely amazing. As a Black man with a cajun background who loves flavorful food but doesn’t eat meat this is the spot! I suggest this place for anyone who enjoys great food thats packed with flavor. Anyone who understands food that alkalines the body. As well as anyone who is practicing the Ayurvedic lifestyle! The photos below is everything that I ordered on my first visit! Everything was absolutely delicious! I will definitely go there once a week at least. I can finally find great food that I don’t have to prepare. The options are endless! I typically watch football on the weekends and instead of me having to prepare my vegan nachos and wings I have the option to head over to Pure vegan!!! If you would like to try vegan food and it’s your first time try this place first!!! Stay Pure and until the next time. May thy food be thy medicine and may thy medicine be thy food!!!

Yelp
We visited Pure Vegan Café for the first time without knowing exactly what to expect, and we were pleasantly surprised to discover that it specializes in flavorful vegan Indian cuisine! For lunch, we tried the BBQ Platter, Masala Bowl, Golden Latte, and Chunky Monkey Smoothie. Every dish was fresh, delicious, and truly satisfying. A wise friend once told me that if you want authentic Indian food, look for a place where Indian families gather. Sure enough, we noticed some dining here--which reassured us that this spot is the real deal. And yes, the food absolutely lived up to that expectation! We'll definitely be coming back. If you're in the area and looking for a warm, inviting spot with tasty vegan options, this is a must-visit. Cheers!

Yelp
Visiting NC for the weekend and found the best vegan spot! We ordered masala bowl and BBQ platter (September special). The platter was so amazing! If you are around the area, come and try it before September is over! If you are vegetarian or vegan, definitely try it out! The server was very nice and helpful when we are being indecisive with what to get! I wish I was staying in NC longer so I can try different menus as well too!

Yelp
Enjoyed my visit here! Husband and I came here to try their vegan food for dinner on a Friday evening. The place was small, but had plenty of seating available. Our order also came out rather quickly too which was nice. I got the backyard burger, and he got the chicken sandwich and an order of chili fries, and we also got a jackfruit biriyani and a side order of Mac and cheese to share. My favorite was definitely my burger! It was super flavorful. I also loved my husband's chili fries. The portion was huge and we had to take most of it home! They were super fresh and hot! The Mac and cheez was good too, nice and creamy. I didn't like his chick'n sandwich as much as my burger, but chicken sandwich lovers would definitely enjoy it as it tasted like real chicken! My husband enjoyed it as well. We weren't too used to the flavor of jackfruit from our biriyni, but people who love spicy might like this dish. I would definitely come back again for burger and fries though, and would love to come during lunch to try their juices and mango lassi!!

Yelp
I stopped in with a friend for brunch after our pedicure and was pleased to find a lot of gluten-free options. I opted for the strawberry waffles, which were pretty tasty, and the golden "latte" (I used quotes because there was no espresso). My friend ordered the acai bowl with a smoothie, and she like both. The staff member was helpful and made suggestions.

Yelp
Nutritious vegan food at a decent price. We stopped here for lunch and left happy and full. The lady working the counter (Veena?) was welcoming and helpful. It was our first time here so she provided insight on popular choices. We opted for the tikka burger ($10.99), breakfast burger ($12.99), and kale slaw ($4.50). We chose to sit outside and our meal was brought to us. The order was accurate and arrived quickly making it a good spot for short lunch breaks. A water station and more seating is available inside. We enjoyed each of the items but found the texture of the Tikka burger and the flavor of the kale slaw surprising. Although the tikka burger looks crispy, it's not at all. It's very soft. Not an issue if expected, but seeing a crispy burger while biting into a tender patty was disappointing. I really wanted that crunch. If I made this at home I'd put something with a crunchy texture on it like pickles, crispy onions, peppers, etc. Then the kale salad was drowned in dressing. I know it's slaw but it was too much.

Yelp
This place is great if you have food allergies. I am not Vegan, but I like the fact I can eat the cheese here. I have the burger which is made with impossible meat, it was full of flavor the bun and the cheese were delicious. It was a bit pricy, but it had great flavor. The employee was very helpful and friendly; the outside tables were nice. The burger came with no sides - we ordered the kale salad- not my favorite- it was drowning in dressing; I didn't eat it.

Scee J.

Yelp
It's a quick option with breakfast/ brunch and lunch/dinner items. Operating hours are reasonable, food is okay. I've tried the chick'n sandwich as well as the buffalo sandwich, bbq sandwich which is pretty good if if you're ok with the texture and if not opt for jackfruit. Fried cauliflower lacked flavor when I had it and the sauces didn't help. The biryani rice for the price I wouldn't get again, plus it was too spicy which I don't think is noted on the menu. This has never been a spot for me but a quick vegan option since there are not too many options in this area. Also, the service is pretty quick every time I've been.

Yelp
Being new to Plant based foods we've decided to go out and try some vegan/plant based foods to help expand our dishes. I've tried a different restaurant before (not this one) and it wasn't good so I was nervous to try another place. And it's no regrets here. The food is delicious and VERY flavorful. We definitely will be back.

Yelp
The name doesn't make this obvious, but this place is a mix of Indian and more American style items. The American style trends more towards the fake meat and cheese kind of thing, while the Indian food is more classic to the cuisine. Stopping in for brunch, I got both an uttapam and a side of tofu scramble. The uttapam was good, but I wasn't sold that is was the best you'd be able to get in an area with as many Indian restaurants as the Triangle. The tofu scramble on the side had some curry spices and finely chopped vegetables and was quite scrumptious. Adding a chai resulted in a very spicy beverage with ginger and other zingy flavors and possibly some tea. I doubt you'd struggle to find this sort of Indian food done well around here, but if you're seeking vegan specifically, then this is the place to look.

Alana C.

Yelp
I ordered an impossible burger with toppings on the side. Unfortunately, I did not receive lettuce, tomato and pickle. I did receive a kale mixture and the ketchup, mustard, and garlicky sauce. Despite the omission of toppings the burger was good and the sweet potato fries. The sweet potatoes set in was a nice size, served hot. The carrot cupcake was delicious, but the portion was noticeable small. It was more like a half of a cupcake. The cauliflower wings was a large portion, but there was a dark seasoning on the cauliflower that overpowered the Buffaloe seasoning, which was quite tasty. As a vegan, it was a treat to eat here. Nice atmosphere.

Yelp
For vegans/people with food allergies, this spot is a flavorful oasis of choices! This restaurant has a 100% plant-based menu, with a strong influence of Indian cuisine as well as American dishes. The curry was very flavorful, and the texture of the chick'n was pleasant and close to "the real thing." Cold-pressed juices and smoothies are also available (the truly healthy kind). This spot is great for a quick lunch or dinner, offering inside and outside tables.

Yelp
Wandered into Pure Vegan cafe for lunch. It's a counter service place in a strip mall. It has several tables and a relaxing environment with lots of plants except for the too loud contemporary pop music that was blasting. The menu is large -- something for everyone. I'm not vegan but am gluten free and I could not say no to a gluten free Belgian waffle. I cannot even remember the last time I had a waffle! It came with strawberries, coconut cream and syrup. The menu advertised maple syrup but it was not. It was your basic syrup with main ingredient being corn syrup. The waffle was fabulous -- crispy on the outside but dense and moist on the inside. Perfection. I did not eat the coconut cream. Husband ordered the chicken and waffle and enjoyed his as well. We ate there and although our food was served on real plates the only cutlery was plastic. Metal flatware would have been better for cutting. Overall a decent spot and great place for vegans.

Jaime B.

Yelp
We arrived and walked to the counter to order. Immediately I noticed the 90 sanitation grade and wasn't pleased. But the food pics online looked nice. Another person entered and went to the cold food case directly next to where we were standing. Even though we were the only ones waiting to order and there was only one other table in the restaurant. (Which speaks volumes on a Sunday brunch time) The customer began speaking to the worker/s who didn't speak to us. And then began ordering his food. While we were standing there for a few minutes with no help. While they clearly saw us. We inquired what we needed to do to order and was told you order here (where we were standing). Clearly not since now we have been skipped over to order. Customer service is not their strong suit. Neither is cleanliness based on their sanitation grade. Would have loved to try the food but don't want to spend my money with someone who doesn't care about their service.

Amanda O.

Yelp
The food is delicious! We've had the backyard burger it's his favorite and I enjoy as well! The fries are crispy but the sweet potatoes don't come crispy. I had the buffalo chik'n and the chik'n bacon ranch. Buffalo had too much sauce for me personally but the chik'n bacon ranch was delicious! I recommend adding pickles to any one that doesn't come with them! We shared a chili dog I believe will double check that and it was soooo goood! I'm not a fan of the sodas. I recommend the shakes/smoothies. I had the Java smoothie and it was so good I definitely want to get another! I highly recommend this place! Easy parking and clean location. Friendly staff and it's clean and nice inside.

Yelp
I think this place has changed ownership since the last time we came here. However I don't believe this has changed the quality of the food. This review will be short and sweet. I'm not a vegan but this place crush's making awesome vegan food. The buffalo sauce burger is may favorite burger here. Prices are fairly reasonable. The ambience is fine but could be worked on a bit more. Service was quick, we didn't wait more than about 5-8 minutes for our food. Will be back!

Yelp
Ever since I randomly stumbled across Pure Vegan's Cary location (now closed), it's been my go to vegan spot. I'm not a vegan but I absolutely love all the vegan options. I've always thought they had the most amazing smoothie bowls in the area.. So duh when I nearby I was in the area and decided to grab a smoothie bowl. I got there and I was informed that the smoothie machines were broken and have been broken for over 2 months. So there weren't any smoothies or fresh pressed juices available to order. They've been waiting for a tech-why a tech would take over 2 months idk. The disappointment in that news me to this write review in hopes that management sees it. Please fix those machines! lol no but seriously. Much love to all the other options there but the smoothie bowls are truly unmatched. The menu has changed a quite a bit since my first visit. Outside of the smoothies bowls/fresh pressed juices. The Chipotle bowl (taco salad) and samosas are highly recommended!

Yelp
My family of 4 adults picked up an order of Chik'n Drumsticks w/ BBQ, Chik'n Vindaloo, Roasted Brussels, Chik'n Wings w/ Ranch, Chili Cheeze Fries, Mac and Cheeze, Cauliflower Wings w/ Buffalo and Samosas (which came with a mint chutney & a tamarind chutney) today. We were so excited to find a vegan restaurant that we wanted to try a variety of things. EVERYTHING was so delish, and we have enough left over for dinner! I am so happy we found this restaurant, we highly recommend it!

Yelp
Absolutely loved everything we had here. Chipotle Chicken Sandwich, Dhai Puri. Restaurant was clean, service was fast prices were decent.

Yelp
Very grateful for this restaurant in Brennan Station on Creedmoor Road (on the Chow side) when the Vegan relatives came to town recently. There were items that made non-Vegans happy as well. Order at the counter. Menu is large and enticing. Much of it is Indian inspired. Plenty of American options as well. They also have breakfast items all day and do smoothies. I tried the PVC Tikki, which is a burger made from potato, peas, carrot and spices, and toppings. Also got an order of sweet potato fries for the table. Husband tried the South of the Border Burger, which is an Impossible burger with toppings. Littles did the Strawberry Cream Waffle, one of whom made the mistake of pouring too much syrup on his, then couldn't eat it because it was "too sweet" LOL. Both types of fries were delicious. Others tried some of the Indian style offerings and loved them. I tasted the Samosa with potato & peas which comes with two sauces. It packed some heat and had lots of flavor. Dislikes: the drinks! Two "lemonades" for the kids were $17. They were bottled juices, so that was why, but it would have been nice to have some less expensive drink options. Didn't help that they forgot to bring them. Had to ask for them when the food arrived. No alcohol here, by the way. And my biggest dislike about the drinks is if you want water, they have small thin plastic cups that you pour yourself and no ice. Atmosphere is that of what it is, a counter-service restaurant. When they are preparing smoothies the blending is super loud.
google avatar

Emily H.

Yelp
I'm not vegan so I admittedly hadn't stopped by here despite living nearby for a while. My mistake! I didn't realize they had smoothies and smoothie bowls until recently. Stopped in today to get a purple bowl and it was absolutely delicious! Super fresh and balanced and NOT overly sweet like most chain smoothie places in the area. $9.99 for a 16 oz bowl with three toppings plus granola which is also a great deal for the area. Service was very friendly as well. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I love the breakfast burrito. It's delicious The staff is so friendly and helpful. I always feel happy here. The vibe is good. We have been several times and really enjoy every experience

Cherena W.

Yelp
Pretty good. I tried the chilli fries, buffalo burger and cauliflower wings. All very delicious. Good customer service and nice comfortable spots to eat outside.

Penelope G.

Yelp
The menu here offers a wide range of creative options. The staff is extremely attentive. takes time to make recommendations and prepares food quickly. My meal was delicious and carrot cake cupcakes gifted to friends continued their reputation as a PV favorite! I look forward to returning again soon!

Yelp
Made a delivery order, we ordered the mac n cheese, chicken biscuit, chicken wings, Chilli hotdog, faloodas, juices, and banana nut muffin. Mac n cheese was lacking MAD flavor. Needed seasoning BAD. Chicken biscuit was good Chicken pieces were very tasty Chili hot dog was good Faloodas needed straws Juices were good Banana nut muffin - completely missing from the order Tried asking for a refund for the item that I didn't receive. Guess what? They don't do refunds. We're from out of town so if store credit is offered, won't be able to use it.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing vegan food. Everything was delicious, and priced very reasonably. The staff was very warm and friendly. I'll absolutely be back. Thank you.

Yelp
Once again I was provided with a scrumptious meal courtesy of Pure Vegan Cafe. As an out of town visitor to Raleigh it makes me happy to know I have lots of Pure Vegan choices Including dessert They offer waffles, burgers pressed juice and more now the added bonus is Indian style food as well. Today along with my chipotle bowl I ordered samosas What a Treat!!! The mint chutney was on point With the size and the flavor Thank you for providing a great meal to this Vegan

Jessica N.

Yelp
Always nice to find good vegan food and customer service is amazing! Will definitely be back

Yelp
They deliver on DoorDash and Uber Eats in the triangle area (Cary, Raleigh, Durham, Morrisville). They also do various promos and have great Happy Hour discounts go to spot for vegan takeout and delivery. The dredge on their fried Chick'n is unique and so delicious

Yelp
Ok, this was our first time visiting this place & I will say it is SOOOO AMAZING!!! My partner and I are willing to try new vegan spots and gradually change our diet and lifestyle's slowly. This place is a great start to Veganism I ordered for us, surprisingly I made the right choices. I ordered the Breakfast Burger and the Strawberry Waffles along with Chilli Cheeze Fries for my partner. Let me say, before I finally sat down to eat he was devouring the breakfast sandwich. I barely had time to take a picture & I knew I wasn't going to participate in taste testing, I'm glad he really enjoyed it. He hasn't touched the GF Chocolate Cupcake; we were so full & satisfied. I personally ordered the Buffalo Chik ' N Sandwich with Buffalo Fries and was blown away by the ingredients. Now, I will say the "Chicken" did have soy, so that's probably why I wasn't too fond of it. However, it was still good. It's just me being picky/flavorful and trying to accept the fact that it isn't chicken. Next time, I will try a burger and a hot dog. We will definitely be returning for more taste tests... The real clue was how fast we both had the "ITIS" and fell asleep. When I say something is GOOOOOOOD, PLEASE EAT HERE! Coming from a picky eater VS an open minded eater. Thank you Pure Vegan Cafe! We will drive in the rain/storm again for your food! We ordered takeout so we can't say too much about the service or ambiance, but it was a cute little cafe shop or as some would say, Hole in a Wall.
google avatar

Sara O.

Yelp
I had the kebab and side salad with the cilantro dressing. The kebab was really good and a bit spicy and I wish the cilantro dressing had a bit of a cilantro forward flavor, as it was a little bland for my taste. The service was nice and welcoming. It was pretty quiet inside and had a decent amount of space. I also had a pineapple lemonade infused with sea moss which was $11, which was also pretty good
google avatar

Yelp
Venna, it was so nice to meet you. We love to meet the owners of local restaurants and me and my wife Jen, truly enjoyed your restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. We wished we had taken pictures of what we got, but were hungry and enjoyed the food so much lol The service was also great. Also thanks for the Chicken 65 sample that you got out for us when we asked how it was : ) We will surely try the Indian options the next time we come there. Thanks again for a wonderful experience!

Vivica R.

Yelp
Both sandwiches were delicious. Fries were seasoned well. Chocolate chip cookie that I purchased later was extremely stale. Silverware and water cups located right by register. Indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking lot parking. Timely service. Spent about $32 on meal for two. No drinks.

Christine E.

Yelp
Best vegan menu that I have ever seen. The samosas were perfection-not greasy at all. Ordered the backyard burger and it did not disappoint. If you've been wanting to try some plant based food, this is a great place to start!

Andres Eduardo L.

Yelp
Amazing food and staff. I really wish I could try everything in here. There is outdoor sitting if you have dogs, however there is only one umbrella so not ideal for awful hot summer days. Highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Sarah J.

Yelp
Found this cute little gem by coincidence! Very lovely designed space with neon sign and Greenspace background for pictures. Food tastes threat! Not too much oil and perfect amount of spices. Avocado toast even had micro greens on it. Brussels sprouts came with a delicious sweet spicy chili sauce. Also had a burger but forgot to take a picture. It was so delicious we finished it within minutes Definitely recommend this place!
google avatar

Carmelita T.

Yelp
The owners and customer service is AMAZING! The were so personable, and kind. They want to ensure that each customer feels appreciated. The food was so good hard to believe it's plant-based. Such a large menu of juices, smoothies, sandwiches, burgers, fries, salad and protein bowls and even breakfast items. I ordered quite a few and was not disappointed at all. I did not miss eating meat with this meal.
google avatar

Shamara H.

Yelp
I'm not going to lie, the Chik'N Sandwich (Delicious) made me a believer. I typically don't eat vegan "meat" options because of the taste, but this chicken was battered and seasoned to perfection. The Berry Blast smoothie was delicious and a little on the thicker side! This would be great in the AM! You can never go wrong with fries so I tried the Buffalo Ranch! I'm a waffle fries fan already so the Buffalo ranch drizzled on the top was like icing on the cake! I also tried the vegan brownie. It was moist which is a plus;however, I like my brownies a little crisp on the edges. The service was good and the food arrived quickly. I will be back soon!

Jenny L.

Yelp
The service is great! Friendly staff! The menu is big with lots of choices! The nachos were so delicious! We will be back!

Yelp
If you live 2,500 miles away, and only have time for 1 place to eat at before your flight leaves you behind in the Tar-heel State (I love North Carolina, but I've gotta get back home!), then you need to eat at Pure Vegan Cafe. My first bite I was like "WHAT THE HECK AM I EATING, THIS IS SO DELICIOUS!!" The vegan patty on the Backyard Burger was cooked so perfectly, even meat eaters would love it. Slightly pink on the inside, perfectly grilled on the outside. The chili cheese was great, and the burger even had slaw!?? Dayum!! The chai tea was amazing too. Perfectly spiced to accompany such an amazing burger creation. The only regret was having been born with only one stomach, because I really wanted to order more food (chili cheese fries!!). I'll be back again whenever I'm in town.
google avatar

Natalie L.

Yelp
Love this place...you don't have to be Vegan to eat here either!!! I love this place omg think I'll get some tomorrow lol!! Trust me if you haven't been ... RUNNNN!!

Zara P.

Yelp
My Dad, a carnivore, LOVED the chorizo tacos- a must try! The owner is so sweet and they have wonderful customer service. My family and I also tried their samosas, chick'n waffle, and uttapam. Everything was fantastic! We even got a biscoff cheesecake to take home and it tastes just like a proper cheesecake.

Yelp
Though this is my first review I've been to Pure Vegan Cafe a few times . And the food remains consistent. I tried the Chik'n 65 with white rice one the side. This is a dish I enjoy a lot when I go to Indian restaurants. This dish is definitely modeled after the Chicken 65 dry version (meaning it's not going to have gravy to cover the rice), but it's seasoned to perfection; nice and crispy with every bite. Pure vegan is a great spot for people that are curious about vegan food, as it has a lot of options that will compete with some of your meaty favorites.

Yelp
Convenient location in a busy plaza. Trendy decor and a good amount of seating in the space. Despite my shoes sticking to the floor in there, they boast an A97.5, sanitation rating (if my memory serves me correctly). There is some outdoor seating as well and seems like kind of place I would go for a lunch date to catch up with a friend over a smoothie. The green juice I had was nice. The chipotle bowl was delicious and hit the spot--fresh crunchy lettuce, creamy sauce, mildly spiced walnut meat. It was exactly what I wanted to eat after a long day of work when the whether is so warm and muggy. Customer service was eh, but not bad. And my online order was ready when I arrived to pick it up. My only real issue is that the bowl was messy to eat because of the serving container choice. Would have been nice if they chose an actual bowl instead of what seemed like something that would hold a large serving of French fries or a small sandwich + side.

Yelp
The food was great. The service was amazing. My food and juices were prepared in record time. I would definitely recommend this spot.

Yelp
Quick day trip to Raleigh, NC with my vegan friend to get some vegan food! Decided to try Pure Vegan, as she has not had it before. The interior is very light, bright, and clean. The tables are spacious. The bathrooms were flooded when we visited, so that was a little unsettling. I ordered the South of the Border burger with a side of vegan mac and cheese. The burger was really delicious. I'm a huge fan of Impossible Foods meat, so no surprises there. It was a tad salty though. The mac and cheese was just average. Didn't really have a "cheesy" taste, and the sauce was very runny. Overall, I'm really glad I tried it! Thank you!

Yelp
The food here is really good!! If you're vegan, you will love it! Even my non vegan boyfriend enjoyed! I'm just taking one point away and because the lady who took our order wasn't super friendly! But other than that def go here!!

Yelp
Possibly the best Indian food in Raleigh! They also have a huge variety of non-Indian options, so this is the perfect spot for groups. They have something for everyone and everything is delicious.

Yelp
As a many years vegan, it's always with great pleasure that we try new restaurants in Durham! Pure vegan has it all for whatever mood you may be in, more fast-food style choices, but also very refined indian dishes and also great healthy smoothie to go with it, especially nice after a good exercise. Even simple snacks like their hotdogs are simply perfect. Our whole family recommends highly this place!
