Rum Barrel Aged Ceylon This tea was so good! It was so bold and smooth with a slight rum and smoke flavor. The smoke was not overwhelming at all. It was also somewhat sweet and had a little bit of spice. It had such a good flavor. This tea was aged in a spiced rum barrel which I thought was really cool! I don't think this tea needs milk or sugar but did hold up well to milk but I preferred it plain. I really enjoyed this one and looking forward to drinking more of this tea! Roseberry This tea was really good! It had a unique flavor. Notes of fruit, cardamom and vanilla. It was more fruit forward with a subtle sweetness and was slightly astringent but not too bad. I really liked the cardamom in this, it adds such a distinct warmth and spice to the tea. I also tried this with sugar which just brought out more of the fruity notes. I think this would be great as an iced tea! Nemaste This tea was really good! I was quite surprised how sweet it was. The lavender stands out the most but its so beautifully blended with the other ingredients. The peppermint is subtle but adds a very soothing quality. This made a delicious, calming cup of tea. I didn't need to add anything to this one, it was perfect as is. I think this would make a great iced tea as well. I really enjoyed it and will happily sip on this in the evening!

Pure Blend Tea Review: A Sip of Variety I’ve been indulging in a trio of unique teas from Pure Blend, and each one has offered its own special experience. Here’s a breakdown of the flavors, vibes, and pairings I’ve explored: Roseberry This blend greeted me with the delightful scent of roses and berries as soon as I opened the bag. The floral and fruity aroma was so inspiring, I paired it with a yogurt parfait for breakfast. I steeped two teaspoons for 5 minutes, and the result was a flavorful yet light tea—especially for a black tea. Smooth, easy to sip, and perfectly balanced without the need for sweetener. A beautiful way to start the day. Rum Barrel Aged Ceylon This one is bold and unique—a Ceylon tea aged six months in a spiced rum barrel from Lancaster Distilleries. I steeped 1 teaspoon for 8 oz of water for 5 minutes, as directed. I drank it both plain and paired with a brownie cookie, and wow! The natural smokiness from the barrel aging came through in every sip. The cookie’s sweetness was the perfect complement, making this a great evening treat. Complex and cozy. NamasTea A caffeine-free option that felt like a peaceful pause in the middle of my day. The aroma was fruity as it steeped (two teaspoons, 5 minutes), and the lavender was the star flavor, followed by subtle notes of peppermint and clove. The blend also includes honeybush, apple pieces, calendula petals, and natural apricot flavor. I first tried it unsweetened and found it well-balanced. One sugar cube added just enough sweetness without masking the delicate flavor. A great tea for slow, intentional sipping. Final Thoughts: Pure Blend has a way of crafting thoughtful, layered teas that feel like an experience rather than just a drink. From floral and fruity to bold and smoky, and finally soothing and herbal—each cup delivered something new and enjoyable. I’m looking forward to discovering more from their collection.

A fantastic tea company with unique blends! I was able to try three different blends: Namastea--I wasn’t sure what to expect when brewing this one, but I knew it was going to be good because it smelled so good right out of the package and while brewing. This tea has the most delicious melange of ingredients. The lavender and clove are what I taste first, with the peppermint and apricot in the background. I think the apricot adds a touch of sweetness in addition to a bit of fruity flavor. The honeybush really melds everything together into one harmonious blend. Also, this tastes just like a bubblegum I had as a child, and it really took me back. So stinking delicious!! Roseberry--this is a really scrumptious and unique blend. I absolutely love the mix of rose and strawberry with the black tea base. I get tons of fresh strawberry here—not artificial, but real fruit flavor—and the rose really accompanies the berry so well. I do think the cardamom and orange add a nice twist to the already delightful flavor profile. The tea itself is super smooth and makes the most wonderful base for the blend. When I added milk, this tea became a strawberry rose candy tea! It was so delicious and addicting—I made many cups of this one! Rum Barrel Aged Ceylon--this is a really delicious black tea. I have enjoyed drinking this one as a breakfast tea, since it’s bold and holds up really well to boiling water. It’s not astringent or bitter, but rather, super smooth and robust. I don’t think I’ve ever had a tea aged like this one--it’s not too smokey—actually I don’t really taste any “smoke” at all (not like a lapsang souchoung), but rather just a deeper quality to the black tea. I think the aging process allows the tea to have some creme brûlée notes. When I added milk, this tea really blew me out of the water. The creme brulee/deep caramel note I tasted in the plain hot brew really came forward when I added milk. Wow, outstanding!

Absolutely delicious loose leaf teas and blends! I tried Rum Barrel Aged Ceylon. I steeped 3 grams in 12 ounces of 212 degree water for 3 minutes. I love Ceylon teas so I was excited to try this version, and I’m so glad I did! The briskness of the Ceylon was accompanied by the hints of sweet and spicy notes of the rum barrel aging and love how that makes this tea so special. I like how this Ceylon is strong and full-bodied without being malty and I think it would pair well with breakfast pastries like croissants. I personally don’t think it needs milk or sugar because I think both may drown out the rum notes, but they can be added if desired! I think anyone who enjoys Ceylon would really like this! I tried Roseberry. I steeped 3 grams in 12 ounces of 212 degree water for 3 minutes. This was a nice blend of strawberries, roses, vanilla, and a touch of cardamom with an assertive black tea. The flavors complemented each other well, and I think the strawberry stood out the most. I would definitely consider this a dessert tea, although I tried it iced as well and it was nice that way too! This would also be great with a bit of milk and some sugar or honey to really elevate the flavors. I tried NamasTea. I steeped 4 grams in 12 ounces of 212 degree water for 5 minutes. This is a really nice herbal blend with nicely balanced florals kissed by a touch of spice. It’s very lavender-forward, but the lavender is backed by the gentle warming spice of the clove and the cooling flavor of the peppermint. The base is honeybush, so there’s already a natural sweetness to this. The apple and apricot add a bit to the sweetness as well. I don’t think you would need to add sweetener. All in all, this is a great blend and nice for winding down after dinner. I tried this iced as well and I can say the peppermint comes out a lot more when iced.

I have tried 3 so far and all 3 blends were delicious: Rum Barrel Aged Ceylon: Upon opening the package, I was immediately greeted by a rich oak aroma, followed by a soft trace of vanilla. The flavor is smooth and heady, with pronounced oak notes and just a whisper of vanilla sweetness. A light astringency lingers at the end of each sip, making me crave more. Roseberry: This blend is brimming with beautiful rosebuds—no need to search for them, as they’re all throughout the package. Upon opening the it, I was greeted with an inviting aroma of cardamom, vanilla, and strawberry. The flavor has a delicious chai-like warmth, cozy and comforting. Although it’s a black tea, I found it particularly enjoyable as an evening wind-down cup. NamasTea: A caffeine-free honeybush blend that offers a beautifully calming experience. Upon opening the package, a rich apricot aroma takes center stage, while subtle hints of lavender and peppermint gently emerge through the warmth of clove. It’s the kind of scent you could linger over for hours. The infusion is vibrant with notes of apple and apricot, followed by a perfectly balanced touch of clove. As I sip, the lavender and peppermint create a soft, cooling sensation at the back of the throat, adding depth and complexity to the flavor. A soothing and flavorful way to close the day—comforting, aromatic, and just the right amount of spice.

Todays sampling is NamasTea from Pureblend. This herbal blend is composed of honeybush tea with calendula flowers, clove, lavender and peppermint. At first I thought this flavor combination was wild, but it really works. All the flavors marry perfectly to make a deliciously sweet cup of herbal tea. I tried it plain and with sugar and both ways were sweet and delicious. I will admit this is one of the first honeybush herbal teas I’ve actually enjoyed drinking, so thank you Pureblend for the opportunity to try this tea.

Today’s I tried Namastea from Pure Blend. This may be one of ny new fall favorites! I am absolutely in love with this Honeybush blend—it’s like a warm clove-forward tea with a fruity twist. I’m a big fan of the cozy clove flavor, and the apricot and apple adds a delicious sweetness that also blends perfectly with the honeybush. The lavender is present but, subtle—just enough to add a gentle floral note without overpowering the blend. The peppermint brings a refreshing finish that balances the richness beautifully. I love that it’s caffeine-free, making it perfect for winding down any time of day. I’m excited to drink this hot in the fall and can already imagine the warm falls feel while drinking this tea!

Rum Barrel Aged Ceylon Black Tea The fragrance of charred oak barrel immediately caught my attention upon the steeping of this beautifully crafted Ceylon blend. The taste of smokiness, light spice, and hints of rum completed this one of a kind taste profile. This tea definitely deserves a spot within my tea collection for special occasions. Cheers!
